Upload!! Water Bound Love!

Deep Shore Be Present Pullover

Deep Coal Go Lightly Bag with mesh top - Canada only.

Deep Shore Burlap Print Wunder Under Pants

Heathered Light Gray Forme Jacket

Stretch and Asana Bra

Run Times Shorts with Block It Pocket - Canada only
Blue Tropics Wee Are From Space Cool Racerback

Canada got an Earl Gray CRB

Shanti Surf Short

Coastal Dress

Some interesting items on this afternoon's upload. I wish the Be Present sweater was longer because the Deep Shore version is super pretty. The new Run Times shorts are interesting to me since they are longer but I'm waiting to see them in some fun prints. I did order myself the Wee Are From Space Blue Tropics Cool Racerback. Canada got a Heathered Earl Gray CRB that I didn't notice right away so I might wait to take the tags off the WAFS Blue Tropics CRB in favor of the Earl Gray. However, I'm not sure what I have, other than black, that will go with the color.

I went a bit berserk on the new Water Bound line since it's right up my alley in terms of being useful in both water and on land. This is what I ordered:

I got the Barely Pink Water Bound hoodie. Though I don't love the hood I do like the idea of a UPF top that I can wear in the water when at the beach or pool. I do like that it's long sleeve because our beaches can be kind of cool in the summer. The write up also mentions you can use it for running so I'm excited to test it out for that, too.

I also ordered the Wamo Camo Water Bound short. I like this style bottom for the pool anyway so this one was an easy choice for me over the Shanti Surf Short which kind of looks like you should have a bikini bottom underneath it, though I'm not sure.

I also ordered two of the Water Bound bras because I wasn't sure if I want to be matchy matchy with the bottoms or not. I wish the bras were reversible like the shorts. I am so happy there is a swim top that looks like it has decent support and coverage for a bustier person. The initial fit report I read said it fit TTS.

I went back and ordered the black Water Bound singlet to complete the look and give myself more options for the beach/pool. Though I would have preferred a Barely Pink tank, the black goes with everything else I ordered.

Anyway, I am super excited for the new Water Bound line.

What did you order?

Did the Deep Coal Go Lightly Bag already sell out? I can't find it on the upload.

I went ahead and ordered a blue tropic WAFS CRB. Once again, I don't need another CRB, but I am a sucker for anything WAFS and blue tropic is especially pretty.

I also got super excited when I saw the dhanurasana II crop listed, because the original dhanurasana crops are my all time favorite lulu crop, but I skipped the new version because they seem to have very little in common with the originals. For starters, they seem much longer. Also, the keyhole looks nothing like the original version, just looks strange. And finally they are cotton instead of luon, which wouldn't have stopped me from purchasing if the first two items were the same. Sigh...

I didn't order any swim stuff even though it all looks cute, I haven't had much luck with Lulu swim and I don't feel like fronting a whole bunch of $$ only to end up returning it all. Too exhausting.

So did they just not make the blue tropic CRB in a 2 or a 12, or did it really sell out instantly in those sizes? Would love to know if anyone has seen a size 2 in store anywhere.

@Rachael - only Canada got the Deep Coal Go Lightlty

LLA, Did not see the Run Times Shorts on the U.S. site. by chance did you see them on the Canada site?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:11 pm - yes, they're only in Canada only right now. I'll annotate my post.

Not a bad upload, though Canada definitely had issues with the website! Very difficult to checkout, despite the weird new upload time.

Anyhow, got the camo skirt and a coastal dress in black and white- I am a sucker for anything feminine that lulu makes. Also ordered shanti surf short in pink flowery pattern-such a pretty color, could not resist. Also, these would be my first pair of shorts ( otherwise I only wear skorts).

I think the new time for lulu to come out is at 7 america central time. (Texas)

Was the Be Present sweater uploaded on the Canadian site too? I didn't see it under "What's New" or "Tops".

So I ran to my local lulu to check out some of the new items and I tried on the water bound hoodie in both the barely pink (super shear) and the burlap print which I loved. However, I did hold off because for me it's just not an item I will get much use of on a daily basis. It is super thin yet feels very durable. the pink will always have to be worn with something underneath but the burlap print can definitely be worn with nothing under (but a bra).
I also got 3 CRB's ..The WRFS black/cashew, Groovy stripe static wave dune, and Groovy strip static wave cadet blue. For me the WRFS blue tropics was too green.
I also tried on the new wunder under burlap earl grey...Not a good look for me , I'm thinking maybe if they come in a crop version.
Has anyone been able to find the Scuba in the whamo camo, I'm obsessed with wanting one, LOL

lots of cute stuff but nothing for me... :( although my wallet is happy! I was hoping for the blue tropics WAFC WUC but maybe those will be uploaded next week???

Ordered the 105f tank in white...glad to see that was uploaded, since it's sold out in my size in my local store.

Went back and ordered the water bound singlet in aquamarine. I tried on a coastal tank in a 4 and that worked...assuming the 4 will work in this tank too.

I was hoping the navy striped WUs would show up, but I'm only interested in crops. Maybe next week.

I didn't order anything, but just noticed I have 160 items in my shopping cart. I haven't added anything in a couple of weeks! What the heck, Lulu?????

I ordered a swim suit (Shanti Surf Triangle Top - black and Shanti SurfBikini - pretty palm), water bound singlet (stripe) and a yoga block.

Does anyone know how the water bound singlet fits? In the coastal tank I had to go all the way down to a size 2 (normally wear a 6). But the water bound says "slim fit" so I wasn't sure what size to order??

I got 3 sizes in the water bound singlet, water bound bra in burlap & blue tropics, 50 rep bra in wafs blue tropics and the CRB in groovy stripe cadet.

i ordered the shanti floraal shorts in two sizes my usual size and a size bigger just to be on the safe side because i love love love these and they will go w/ a coral top and a pink top i already have!!!! I think i will love them! I also looked at the ones lla ordered the wamo camo tight swim shorts but opted for the shanti althougn those are super cute as well.

Water Bound Hoodie in burlap texture dune/black. I'm a bit of a sunophobe so I make a point of looking for each years upf offerings. I'm not crazy about the hood on this, as LLA also mentioned, but overall usefulness outweighs. Kinda pricey, but easier to put on than sunscreen. Love that it's amphibious though I have rashguards for snorkeling already. This will be used for commuting to gym and watering garden.

My stores did not get size 2's at all:( WTF Lulu

LuluAddict said...

@lulu - thanks for the report on the barely pink Water Bound pullover. I thought it would be on the sheer side so ordered it in two sizes - my regular and the size up - figuring the looser one would not reveal as much.

I ordered the keep on running duffel and the wafts blue tropics crb. Didn't see the bag initially.

Nothing for me (I'm not a water person), but I will take a look at the UPF hoodie in the store. I really like the look of the tote bag, but keeping the Dune color looking nice and clean would be next to impossible.

I ordered more than expected! Water bound hoodie in blue tropic, earl gray bag, light gray forme, and stretch and asana bra. I've been looking forward to the upf tops, so if I like the water bound hoodie I may order a second one. And I've really fallen for practice cotton and want to try the new asana bra. I'm 34D and ordered an 8 - hope it fits because it looks super comfy. It's funny, I thought I'd only be looking for the wafs blue tropic crops on this upload, but all these other items caught my eye!

I was on shortly after the upload, I never even saw the Early Grey CRB. I guess it went that fast!

That's weird, the heathered earl grey CRB image is there this morning on the Canadian site, but when you click on it, it takes you to the black CRB. Guess that means sold out? I'll have to try to get this in store. I think I prefer it over the BT CRB (although I love wafs patterns). I'm also wanting the wafs BT crops or full WU.

I'm interested in the Stretch and Asana bra but will try this in store as it may be too low cut for even my small bust. I like the idea of the water bound short (esp. the blue ones that reverse to burlap), as I could use these in hot yoga too.

I would have loved to order some of the swim pieces, but I wish Lulu would put a little more coverage in their bottoms or have a higher rise. The swim shorts are not flattering on my thick legs and booty, but the regular bikini bottoms are cut in an awkward way where even the tiny models' behinds are hanging out of the bottoms. They look good, but I just find that style of bottoms so uncomfortable.

i really like the water bound bra, shorts and hoddie, if only i and extra $200 laying around. please, do a fit review of all three items when you receive them. your fit reviews are the best. any reason you did not get the shanti surf shorts?

@ anon 4:03 am - The Earl Gray CRB only showed up on the Canadian side of the website. I didn't even see it until a friend told me about it and that was quite awhile after upload started.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 6:51 am - I agree - I don't know why they cut all the suits so the butt cheeks are hanging out. They look like they'd give you a wedgie as soon as you sat down in them. That is one reason I ordered the Water Bound shorts. I wish they'd offer one bottom that offered more cheek coverage.

LuluAddict said...

@Jill - The Shanti Surf shorts look like they fit a bit looser in the leg - not that they would fit me super loose - but my experience is that looser fitting swimwear - like tankini tops or shorts-style bottoms - float up in the water and I'd prefer not to expose things if that happens. I have a pair of Athleta Oceanside shorts-style bathing suit bottoms that definitely float around but they have a built in brief.

The whole Water Bound line suits how I use my swim wear - mostly to keep an eye on my kids at the beach or pool but every now and then I'll jump in with them to play in the waves or pool. There's definitely a lot of loose material in the pieces so they're not for real swimming but they look like casual wear that gives me the option of being able to get wet. My typical pool/beach wear has been an Athleta suit - bikini bottom or the Oceanside shorts bottom - with a tankini top or bikini top with a sleeveless rash guard on top. I also have some Xelosette board shorts from Boardshortworld.com that I put over my bottoms. I sunburn so easily, even with 70+ SPF, that I like using UPF/rashguard tops these days when I am spending extensive time in the sun.

Got the blue tropics WAFS CRB, so pretty..., and 2 sizes in the Coastal dress in black since I can't tell how loose the dress will be. Love the coastal tank so hope the dress version is just as comfortable. I haven't bought from LLL in like a month, just nothing had caught my eye until this upload!

I got the water bound top and bottom. I got the top in the burlap pattern and the bottom is the blue tropics one which is reversible.

Those 2 pieces will be great for the beach runs I do as well as for competitive sailing, my regular bikinis don't stay put when I am racing so I will not have to worry about popping out etc.

The Dhanurasana Crop is really cute, but I've never tried the practice cotton fabric. Can anyone advise on fit (same as luon?) and function (is it wicking? compressive?)

I will likely order the High Times Crop in Fatigue Green. I just got them in Cadet Blue from last week's upload and am in love. I've had a problem with the fit of WUs in the past year (except for parallel stripe), and the fit of these is just perfect. TTS--not too big or too tight. Fabric is super soft. I'm 5' 7" and they come down to my ankles, so they're definitely not a crop though.

I ordered the WAFS BT CRB (really wanted the crops but I guess not yet!), and 105F Singlet in dual sided heather grey/black tank. Holding off to order the High Times crop in black until I hear more reviews about fit and quality.

These water bound bra tops/shorts...are they actually meant for swimming? I've never tried any LLL swim wear.

@Jennifer. I have the roll down wunder unders in cotton and i love them. i work from home so i can wear them to work and take yoga breaks as well as run errands in them. i also like that they are more breathable for "down there" vs luon. i am in between a 6-8 and would consider these a size down item because they do stretch out. my 8s are a little big. they are not comprehensive or wicking (they really are just cotton. i think "practice cotton" is just marketing them to the lulu audience) but they are the most soft crops ever and i would buy a 10 more pairs if I could.
