I went into my local nz store today and.....tried on the blue tropics WAFS WUC!!!! Yep they're real ladies. Lovely and soft, buttery almost. Nicely thick without being too hot. Very comfy. Fit like my parallel striped ones. I have too many crops in my wardrobe and wasn't madly in love with the colour myself so left them there but will be back in a few days to get the heathered blue tropic LS swiftly scoop neck, whoop whoop!! when it lands. We're going into winter so will get tons of wear out of that:)
Phew! Not doing a thing for me.
Was it just me or was lululemon.com super slow this morning?? I tried to buy a FTB wild bra that popped on the site and it took forever in processing then it said the item was already sold out.
I am not sure that LLL should bother with swim wear. I feel like it always falls flat, and there is SO MUCH competition in swim wear...stuff that is a lot better. I also feel like that LLL swim stuff is suited for very few body types. I'm a slim, muscular LLL size 4, and still none of it did my body any favors.
I just saw on LLM's blog that there is a new street wear pull over sweater. Am I alone in wishing that LLL would stop it with the casual wear and try to get their groove back on athletic wear? I can buy a sweater or a soft long sleeve shirt anywhere. What I cannot buy anywhere are run tights with good compression made out of Luxtreme, or amazing tights with excellent coverage and seams. I wish very much that LLL would concentrate on bringing back the basics in the old-school quality instead of all these ancillary SKUs.
@ anon 10:16 am - I agree. I have not been wowed by any of their swim wear yet.
Agree 100% 10:16am. I don't even feel the slightest pulse of excitement for their swim stuff. Unflattering designs (ironic for a company that has capitalized on their ability to design universally flattering work out pants that can make most any butt look great--or at least improved), and the colors/prints are awful. There are so many better designers out there now I wouldn't even give lulu a 2nd look for swimwear--and lulu gets lots of 2nd looks from me for pretty much everything else they design!
Is that a board balance top in blue tropic, or a new style? This year we've only seen the board balance top in various combos which all include black. Black does nothing for me in swimwear so I would love to see it in some fun colors.
Their swimwear is definitely lackluster. I much much prefer athleta's stuff, so much of theirs seems to be more flattering on those of us who are larger than a size four, IMO
@Anon 10:07 - so jealous - I want those pants! Wonder when they are going to show up in the US? I have the black/cashew WAFS WUCs and get compliments every time I wear them.
