I got my water bound crops today and they are sheer in a really deep bend which is a total shame because they are adorable!! I love the cutouts on the back of the calves, the compression is great, love the fabric (other than the sheerness) as it is super compressive and the seaming on the rear is very flattering. But I crossfit and can't take the chance wearing them.

I'm going to try the ujayii crop since that has a fullux back panel.

CRB in Forest Green, please!

Bruised Berry spray really looks like my 2 year old niece has sneezed blueberries on my shorts, and I forgot to wash it immediately and it becomes a permanent big stain. Perhaps the berry spray should have been a darker shade? It looks kinda faded.

saw the forest green forme in georgetown (DC) today - was a really funky green (as in, not what i think of when i think of "Forest Green"). the ribbon inside the zipper is a pale green color - maybe opal? i liked it a lot, but will wait to see what else comes in this color. it's not particularly summery.

some try-ons:
i finally tried on the shanti shorts and actually liked them - i think someone else on here said they're like a bathing suit but not tight (maybe LLA said that?) and it's true. my 46-year-old behind will not be wearing them out and about as shorts, but for being around/in the water i think i'll keep them! i got the blue tropics color.

also tried the water bound bra and it did not fit me right AT ALL. something about the sides gaping open - very strange.

i ran into the store with my 3-yr-old to try on the water bound hoodie - ended up getting the blue tropics in size 8, but could have taken a 6. i went back and forth and ended up with the 8. anybody else have input on whether to go with your larger or smaller TTS?

loved the new run times shorts - got 'em in the pretty palm in size 8. i'm usually between 6 and 8 in tights and an 8 in other bottoms. i'm a turbo/groovy run shorts person.

also got a b/w striped stuff your bra to go with the shanti shorts, but haven't tried it on yet!

pretty palm pace rival skirt was also great.

Forest Green is a weird color to introduce in the summer.
It would have been (or would be) a wonderful addition to a Fall or Winter collection.

The shanti shorts are designed to be worn over a swimsuit.... i've seen people comment on why not a liner etc. well board shorts don't have liners either because they are meant to be worn OVER your swim bottoms that way you can wear them or take them off if you so choose to i like that option as i am not a afraid of the sun like most are these days! I embrace the sun LOve LOve Love it!!!!!! Bring on the sun and NO sunscreen please :)

I hated the water bound crops. They are slightly sheer in a deep bend. They are meant for water sports so I'm surprised at how many people are buying them for regular workouts. I SUP all the time so I'm always looking for surf crops and these are not great at all. Super tight in my TTS 6. Athleta makes a far superior surf crop. The water bound hoodie is amazing though. I bought it in my TTS 6 and it's super flattering. I really love the swim material.

Loved the Water Bound Crops. Bought 2 in my TTS 4. A little big in the waist compared to Inspires but may be because swim material is not as stretchy. Bought 2 Water Bound Hoodies as well. Fit for me was a loose TTS. I tried on a 2 and 4 but 4 was much wider through the torso so went with the 2. Took the outfits to the beach last week and they were a success. Personally, I recommend both.

is anyone wearing the shanti shorts without a swim suit underneath?

I/m btwn a 6 and an 8 in general...In tops, I take an 8 in almost all tanks, l/s swiftlies, bras. For ref, 5'6" 125 lbs 34D.

I ordered a 6 online in the waterbound hoodie (pink). I was nervous b/c it was described as slim fit. I am very happy with the fit. I don't think an 8 would have worked in this...too big.

OT but I'm looking to buy a coastal tank in black in a 2. I thought the water bound singlet would be a god replacement but I really prefer the coastal tank and my stores never got them in. If anyone has one they would like to sell or angel for me, I would greatly appreciate it. email me at zachorh at gmail.com. TIA!

I was at WEM and I could see the bruised berry items when they opened the back room door! Slight bit of torture to see it and can't touch it! Phooey! Oh well!

There really wasn't much excitement (for buying anyway) at the store! For me anyway! Really blah!

Bruised berry forme is so pretty! Makes me excited to receive my roll down WUC although I was hoping to return them.
I am curious what others think who have tried the water bound shorts. First off they are adorable. I got the Wamo camo and blue tropics. However, I feel like they give serious camel toe. Like really obvious. I wear a 2 or 4 in bottoms and got these in a 4. I feel like it is way more noticeable in blue pair since solid. I almost pulled the trigger to wear the Wamo ones today but just couldn't do it. I feel like I would be adjusting them constantly. Has anyone else encountered this? I may have to return the blue but debating if it's worth keeping the camo.

Santana Row had the forest green and bruised berry formes. I got the green one, but I'm undecided about it. I love shades of green, but this one is going to be harder to match things with I think.

Lol, shanti without swimming bottom. It depends on how sensitive your private parts are. I wear either swimming bottom or regular underwear under them, but I don't see any reason why u can't wear it without anything if it doesn't irritate you.

Bruised berry spray doesn't stand out as much as the Blue Tropics spray, IMHO, due to a lack of the black contrast. I know some gals don't like the black contrast, but on the various tie dye looking spray colorways, I think it really makes them pop more. Plus black matches with most everything, too. I pair my blue tropics spray dye speeds with Creamsicle Pop CRB - looks awesome!

Thanks (as usual!) for the great blog! Quick question to anyone who has seen the new green Forme - is it likely to match the fatigue WAFS WUC? They are some of my fave WUCs ever but I find them tough to pair with anything other than black (with Bali Breeze I feel like a giant grasshopper, just like you said LLA!) Just can't really get my head around what green shades are in the Forme. TIA :)
