Cadet Blue Speed Shorts and More

Thanks to Ms. K. for the photo.
The Cadet Speed Shorts. The diamond in the waistband is Bruised Berry, one of my favorite purpley-blues.

Close ups of the Needa Margarita Cadet Blue print Drishti Yoga Tote. (Thanks to Ms. K. for the photos.)

so bummed about those speeds. Would have loved a solid cadet pair but they killed them with the fug waistband. Does anyone like those quilted waistbands?? I hate them & they're on everything!

Boring upload...then they will say that the new time is better because there are no website crashes...lol...in fact, there is just barely anything to crash the website over....

I bet that will be yet another catch and release for the black/dune hot spell bra and WUP in wamo camo that I got...

Lol, Anon 8:00 pm, "catch and release" - is that what you call it when you return stuff? It's too true. I do that a lot lately - order something to try - like those Soot WUC and they'll be released back to the store tomorrow (Husband said they were too tight on me) ;-)

Disappointing upload, nothing for me!

Yep, that's what I call when I return stuff. In fact, I have a very supporting husband who does it for me. In his mind, the money are going back to the credit card. Little does he know, lol, the next week it will be invested into something else luluaddictive.....

As for the grey crops-don't feel too bad to part with them as there are so many prints in lulu now- they are much more fun, and more flattering too. Also, if the prints are subtle, you can pair one with another and it still looks great. Of course I am not talking about pairing wamo camo with a secret garden, lol

Did they ever come out with that cashew swiftly we saw in one of the pics about a week or so ago?

I love the quilted waist bands - jazzes up an otherwise plain pair of shorts/pants. Nothing for me, though. Unexpected vet bill put the kabosh on any lulu spending for awhile!

Thanks for the close-up shot of the new tote print. I thought I liked it when the picture was far away & fuzzy; now that I really see it, it's a pass for me.

Anon 7:59--totally agree with you about the quilted waistbands. I think they ruin everything.

I agree I'm not much a fan of the quilted waistbands either. I'm excited about bruised berry though. It looks like the inside of the strap on that bag might also be bruised berry? Hard to tell.

If you are in the business of selling black ( gray/blue ) bottoms, you have to switch it up with distinctive waist bands, otherwise, you aren't selling as many bottoms.

I like the quilted waistbands, but the one above is not a great pattern or color combo. I got a pair of the gather and crow crops a few weeks back and the quilting on the waist band was quite nice and added a touch of color to the otherwise plain black luon crops.

I also am not a fan of the quilted waistbands. To me it makes the shorts clash with everything and much less versatile. I also would have purchased them except for the waistband.

Also, What ruins them is The black trim on so many of the shorts…speeds mostly….I really would like some more solid…

I had ordered the antidote, but the liner was white which is also a deal breaker for me…:(

OT but I need to express my frustrations about the new speed shorts! Looks like the new longer design snuck its way into the Seawheeze design. Just got my shorts in and I ordered my usual size 4 (I'm the same size in 2-way and 4-way) only to find out they are too big! I measured them next to my other 2-way stretch speeds and they are at least an inch longer in the back and half an inch longer in the front. This makes a difference to those who are not blessed in the backside. The waistband is also looser. So disappointed. I don't want to battle the crowds on Friday to try a size 2, which may not help the situation. UGH!

Speed Shorts remind me of the quilt pattern from Seawheeze 2013.

Why does everything sell like hotcakes in the US/Canada, but if you look on the Aussie/NZ page, oodles and oodles of our sell-outs are in stock. Bring them here! We'll buy them!!!

When does the wmtm get uploaded?

Off Topic, but Free People just launched a line of Yoga/Ballet/Surf stuff that looks really nice, if a bit edgy. Will have to see if it is functional because it is pricey....

I love the quilted waistbands. They jazz up plain colors, and no one ever sees them since my tanks always cover them. I'm excited for the return of bruised berry. It's one of my all time fave lulu colors.

I ordered the WUP in navy/white stripe. I stopped by the store and was surprised they had them in. Gave me a chance to touch/feel the fabric.

It is NOT denim. Thankfully as that did not seem like a natural fit to me. They are yarndyed vs. printed. Fabric is a bit heavier than the WAFS Black/Cashew WUP. My take...the fabric reminds me of the vertical pinstripe from last year, but slightly softer. I liked the stretch of the fabric too. More stretch than the vertical pinstripe. Initial inspection was a thumbs up.

However we are having a bit of heatwave here in SF and I was too hot to try on. Will get them Thurs. I can wait.

@ anon 2:26 pm - I love Bruised Berry, too.

Some of the quilted waist bands can be nice. This particular one I don't go for. I think the bruised berry thrown in there is jarring with the lighter purple and green. It just jumps out, these weird diamonds on the waistband sides.

I don't mind multicolored waistbands on plain bottoms occasionally - but the quilted ones are always so random & uneven looking, like a kid sewed it together. Stripes or something would be WAY better than random shapes. I won't ever buy anything with the quilted waists.

I noticed that too! Frustrating!

I generally love the fun quilted waistbands...but the cadet one is a fail for sure.
