the secret garden print is taking over at lululemon. I like the energy bra in that print and also the coastal tank.I did not order anything I am still waiting for my all sport bra and the lift and separate.M
@ anon 10:11 am - it totally is. How many more pieces are coming in the print? lol
Yea, I've had enough of this print and large florals in general. Onto the next, lulu.
It's ridiculous they don't release the SG pace queen tight in stores.
I've seen SG pace queen tights in my local store.. (Edmonton Alberta). Why is everyone so riled up over these pants?!? I don't get it.
OT: I am not fond of SG but I do love all the cashew! I like the stripe pattern (deauville stripe) of the cashew/white flow y bra and scoop neck but I don't like the scoop neck so I hope they come out with a couple more items with that stripe pattern. I already have the other pattern (stroll stripe printed cashew white) lightened up SS.
Can someone who has both the Run Inspires and Pace Queen help me pick between which pant I should keep. I have older Inspires and love em, but have never tried the Pace Queens before. I certainly don't need two Secret Garden print pants!
OT but I really need help!! Just came in from a run and walked past a mirror and saw just how much back fat the energy bra is creating on me. For reference, I'm 5'3, maybe 120 pounds and wearing a size 6 (nursing mama here so no idea what bra size I am presently). Maybe I need a bigger size but I like this size for running. Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone recommend a lulu bra that won't give me back fat? :) Thanks so much!!! I was just about to order another energy bra but I'll hold off for now!
anon 11:56 does your edmonton store still have the pace queen in secret garden and if so which location is it? thanks!! was just at southgate and only had inspires.
Vajayjay bra? Sorry but I had to.
LLA- I got an email from YogaSmoga announcing their new spring line. Some of the stuff looks pretty cute.I ended up sending back the capri tights I ordered when I first learned about them b/c I didn't love the fit. Any thoughts on this new collection? Thank you all. :)
@ anon 3:15 pm - I get liking the Energy snugger for more support for running but that does lead to back fat problems. Have you tried the All Sport bra? It has similar coverage in front/armpit and is a bit more supportive than the Energy. It smashes me down a tiny bit more than the Energy but if you are going for support for running I'd recommend that one as a place to start. I can run in the All Sport in a pinch but I wouldn't in the Energy.
@ anon 4:42 pm - I haven't checked my email lately but will take a look. They didn't send me any new stuff from this upcoming release. I cut ties with them after they spammed the blog with a bunch of shill comments from their employees/friends rah-rahing up the brand and how great it was after my last batch of reviews for them. I think their stuff is decent enough that it could stand on it's own merit. They didn't have to generate fake positive review comments.
@anon 12:44 PM I would keep the pace queen tight. It's becoming my fav lulu pants now, so versatile and so perfect for fall, winter and spring. They make my legs and butts look amazing. I always feel crops/capris makes legs look shorter (in general). And I am so thrilled SG pace queen tight is coming to my store!
Good for you LLA! I noticed their fake comments on your blog, could be spotted a mile away. If they are as great as they say they are, that wasn't needed in the 1st place. That turned me off from even trying their brand.
I think LLL did a great job with the Secret Garden print. I bought the Free to Be bra in this print and am happy to have it. It's true I only want a small dose, but if you have the crops or tights, I think it's great. @ 10:50 AM, just like 11:56 I have seen the Secret Garden Pace tight in store: Toronto Eaton Centre last week, when I was there. I also received a product notice e-mail that week.
@ 4:30 PM, what a base mind. The word is "Ujjayi" and obviously LLL was inspired by Ujjayi breath:"Ujjayi" comes from the Sanskrit prefix "ud" added to it and root "ji": "ujji", meaning "to be victorious". Ujjayi, thus means "one who is victorious". Ujjayi breath means "victorious breath"Ujjayi breathing is a breath technique employed in a variety of Taoist and Yoga practices. In relation to Yoga, it is sometimes called "the ocean breath". Unlike some other forms of pranayama, the ujjayi breath is typically done in association with asana practice.Ujjayi is a diaphragmatic breath, which first fills the lower belly (activating the first and second chakras), rises to the lower rib cage (the third and fourth chakras), and finally moves into the upper chest and throat. The technique is very similar to the three-part Tu-Na breathing found in Taoist Qigong practice.Inhalation and exhalation are both done through the nose. The "ocean sound" is created by moving the glottis as air passes in and out. As the throat passage is narrowed so, too, is the airway, the passage of air through which creates a "rushing" sound. The length and speed of the breath is controlled by the diaphragm, the strengthening of which is, in part, the purpose of ujjayi. The inhalations and exhalations are equal in duration, and are controlled in a manner that causes no distress to the practitioner.
@anonymous @ 4:30 and anonymous @ 5:33:i say Vajayjay too! i'm sure LLL named it for the Ujjayi breath, but just remember the original reason for the name "Lululemon", and the vajayjay comment seems justified to me! and funny. but thanks for the info about Ujjayi breath - not being snarky!
@ anon 5:15 pm - well, they also majorly annoyed me when I said their light colored bottoms were revealing (the pale gray and lavender, to be specific) and someone from their camp anonymously posted a demand for "pics or it didn't happen." Take your feedback for what it is. If I can see underwear lines, cellulite dimples, sweat marks, etc. don't fight me on it. Not everyone is a fitness-wear model with a perfect backside, legs, perky boobs, etc. Lots of ladies are looking for coverage and "help" in their workout wear. No other company that I have done reviews for has ever posted in on their reviews to rebut a negative item like that.
@ anon 5:15 pm - We renewed our Disneyland annual passes this weekend and I saw tons of rose print items in the parks - it's very on trend.
anon@3:17pm I was in southgate a week ago returning something and that's when I saw them :( When you walk in the store, they were near the back on the right-side wall. I guess they must've sold out in that week? They were definitely the pace queens too, because I checked the tag. Sorry that isn't much help!!
sort of OT but related to bras: i like the look of the ujjayi bra, but i know it won't work for me. i want to try the all sport again, and can't remember why i didn't like it when i tried it on in the past. so looking for fit advice!i have energy bras in size 8 (the older ones, not the recent smaller ones) and they are a little too big and not quite supportive enough for running. 6s are to small. would you all recommend a 6 or an 8 in the all sport? it sounds like it's a bit more supportive than energy bra, but does it run similar in size? TIA!
So I'm finding myself in the position of hoping to find an Australian LLAdict Angel. I'm not sure where to look or how to ask, except to post here. Thanks & hoping to hear from someone on tips for finding a LLL Angel!
I found the Yogasmoga pants to be just as revealing as some of the Lulu pants. Don't have pics because I got rid of them! Also, I think most of us, or at least any of us who have taken a single yoga class, know what ujjayi is. But it doesn't make calling it vajayjay any less funny!
anon 3:15 here. Thanks so much luluaddict! I actually have the camo all sports bra just haven't worn it yet. Will do tomorrow and maybe it will be the answer to my back fat problems! :)
Thanks anon 7:02! I actually tried them on at Southgate when they were there but was iffy. I regret not buying them and now they're gone! Bought the inspires but just don't love the look as well. I just want another crop that has the high tight waist of the rundays. Hoping the pace queens are that.
I would keep the Pace queen tights. They are full on luxtreme so thicker, not sheer and great at hiding any imperfections. I love the inspires but they are too sheer these days. Re: the energy bra and back fat - I don't get back fat from them but they are too low cut for me and I'm only a B cup. I find them too revealing for crossfit. I love the all sport bra. Although I have an older one and got the raspberry one off of WMTM not that long ago and the band is much tighter which sucks because if I wear it too long it chafes. I would order two sizes and return one. I wear a 4 in both the all sport and the energy but if I buy another in each I may consider going up to a 6. I'm 32b. And re: Yoga Smoga grey crops - totally sheer and thin and I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs. I returned mine because of it. I'm happy with my black ones though -they have great compression and are not sheer. I also have an india blue pair but for some reason they have too much room in the crotch even though they are the same size as the black pair so I tend to not wear them. I'm sticking with LLL though, I like their fabrics better. Yoga smoga stuff is a bit thick and it's a bit more expensive than LLL!
@Arya and anon 4:27 am - the Secret Garden Inspires and Pace Queen Tights are both made of the thicker full on luxtreme, so from a sheerness point of view, they are the same.
@anon 4:27 am: thanks for the advice about the All Sport bra!
Keep the pace tight, I think the fit is nicer than the inspires. I just saw a bunch of them at the Union Square NYC store, and I really like them, I might just splurge and get them.I agree with every one in regards to yogasmoga. I have the capri tights in blue and grey and they are opaque and pretty nice for yoga, but I would not wear them for running, the material is a bit too thick. The new red color in the spring line is pretty nice, I may order a tank in that color.M
Arya and anon. at 5:01 p.m. (Re: pace queen vs. inspires): I bought a pair of pace queens two weeks ago AND the inspires last week. The inspires just came yesterday and I'm trying to decide which to keep. Pace queen: versatile in terms of season (although I worry if they will get hot), very compressive, not sheer. Inspires: very versatile in terms of season, less compressive material but somehow make my butt look cuter (although that won't help my snatches, right?), and surprisingly, NOT SHEER. On sheerness: I did a pretty extensive bend test for my boyfriend last night and he agreed the inspires were not sheer, but he thinks they looked alike and had no opinion (arg, men who don't get Lulu). I thought I was leaning towards the pace queen because of the compression, but I think I just convinced myself on the inspires now! Anyone else have a pair of pigment or SG pace queens and inspires they are trying to decide between? Has anyone had the pigment inspires longer than me and can comment on how they're holding up? I don't want to keep the pair that falls apart (some reviews on the website are talking about Inspires unraveling or holes very quickly). I can't believe I am still debating over this. I think I finally have to face that this is an addiction!
@ Amanda 9:50 AM: I have both the SG and Pigment inspires. I prefer inspires because I find them more versatile than the full length pace queens but I am living in the South and there are more warmer months.... I love both and don't find either of them sheer. Inspires have always been my go-to running tight...they are sliming and comfortable ...never have to worry about them falling down and I personally have never had issues with them being sheer. I have about 10 inspires ... the oldest is 5 years old (I think...) no unraveling or any issues with quality and I wear them almost everyday for running, crossfit or weights so I believe they are pretty tough. I will admit the older ones feel more durable... not sure exactly what the fabric change is (I don't keep all the hang tag info) but they do feel more compressive. The newer inspires feel thinner and less compressive but I still haven't had any quality issues.... hope this helps :)
I would say that the pace queen will not work as well in places where it gets warm in early spring and early fall. I love my pace queen tights. will be doing a long run in them this evening.M
