Spotted in Stores - Wren Camo Wunder Under Pants (Update - These Are Not Savasana Camo)

Update - these aren't the new Savasana camo but the older Wren camo from a couple of years ago and not denim. Sorry to get people excited.

New Wren Camo Wunder Under Pants spotted in stores. They look denim to me. Also shown is the new Post Savasana Pullover ($108). I tried the sweater on today and it's super soft and cozy.

PS - what do you guys think of the denim luon? I finally took the tags off my black camo WUCs yesterday for a step mill workout. I found them on the warm side. The step mill makes me sweat more than running so I am super sensitive to any item that feels "hot."

i actually don't love the denim luon, i wish lulu would just invest in making good old non see-thru luon. i have soooo much of the old lulu luon (thank goodness) but in trying the denim, it's better than the sheer stuff but light years away from where lulu use to be. i think b/c the bar went so low that any improvement makes people think it's worth paying the prices (and of course it is if a person loves something) but for me - it's a pass. i saw in store the daily yoga jacket in the floral denim luon and it was ridiculously cheap looking - in my opinion.

I saw the Post Savasana pullover in store today but didn't get to try it on. It felt super soft, I'm just not sure I want to invest in a $108 sweater this time of year.

I agree with anon at 5:21 pm above. The denim is okay in crops, but it's way too hot to workout in, so not functional for me. I want well-made, thick and compressive, diamond gusset, non see-thru luon like the WUCs and WUPs I have from 2009-2011.

The denim luon is OK. It is thicker, warmer and fine for my Canadian climate (will warm weather EVER get here?!). Definitely not going to work in summer - too hot. I don't find it as soft either.
Please, please tell me Wren will hit Canadian stores.

I bought some sweaters from Gap for 40% that look so similar to the Post Savasana Pullover. The Gap ones have a V neck but they only cost about $26 after discount so I bought three different colors! I am so pleased because I had to return the last sweater from Lulu that was similar to this because it got pulls in it after only wearing it for 20 minutes. I have worn the Gap one all day today and it looks great.

I've only got it in the Milky Way & beach scape WUP but absolutely love it (totaled up for taxes I spent 0ver $16k 2013) so I have a variety & I live in so cal so I've got plenty of heat even in the winter

I saw the wren camo pants today and they felt more shiny to me than the denim. More similar to the CRB fabric.
I also bought the sweater in cashew stripe and in black. They also had grey. When I got it home I noticed the tag says $98.00 under the $108 sticker. Grrrr.

@Tegan - thanks! I didn't get a chance to feel them in the store.

I love the black camo pattern and own the WUP & WUC, but am not a fan of denim. I can't seem to do crow, side crow, or eka pada koundinasana cuz my leg slips off the back of my arm due to the fabric. White lint collects on denim, and there's little white balls of lint rolled up in the pilling on the inner thigh. Using a razor to shave the lint off helps a ton. OMG, the waist/butt stretched out, so occasionally I have to pull the pants up or I walk around with wrinkled up fabric sitting on top of my butt shelf. I love the fabric of the fatigue green WAFS WUC and hope Lululemon comes out with more WU's made of that. I do a lot of power vinyasa and don't feel the denim is warmer compared to the ziggy wee WUPs I own.

The camou is not denin. Is Luon, luon. On the thin, see-through side of Luon. Saw this on my FB news feed, and drove to the store like a lunatic. To my sadness or excitement to have no spent any money on lulu this week, I absolutely hated this one. Very disappointing. I personally like thicker material, so when I squat, jump and etc my things are in place and not flashing anyone.

I have Milky Way and beachscape WUP in denim. Loving them for casual wear and at home- not a pet hair magnet, not see thru, warm enough, feels less synthetic, and doesn't stretch out easily. I wouldn't want all my WUP to come in denim though as they are not soft, a bit bulky if you trying to fit into the tight boot, and they are feeling more tight than compressive due to lack of stretch in it. So, I absolutely love them- but there is a time and a place. I am sure they are too uncomfortable for any exercise.
When it comes to the texture and quality of the fabric- among the latest, I prefer herringbone. Wish they had variety of colors in it- imagine herringbone beachscape:))))))

I tried on (and bought!) the wren camo wunder under pants tonight. They are regular Luon, not denim Luon and I love how they look and feel. I prefer the look of the wren camo over the fatigue camo since it's a bit darker.

The wren camo are not denim. Same material as the forme jacket. LLA- did you keep the petite fleur denim crops? Did u like them?

Tegan - I knew they did that those little buggers! Why can't they make up their friggin mind? So greedy.

Re: the denim luon. I have the camo WUC and although it's finally warming up on the east coast when I first got them and wore them they were fine because it was still cold here. I agree they will be too hot for our hot and humid east coast summers but I tend to steer clear of all my luon crops in summer and prefer luxtreme anyway. These will be fall, winter crops for me mostly.

Is that Post-Savasana pullover Boolux? I love that fabric - so soft, cozy, warm yet lightweight, and it drapes beautifully. But the one item I have in it has pilled like crazy.

denim luon doesn't seem like workout material, for casual wear I think it works well, it is too thick and stiff for my taste.

I don't prefer denim luon but some styles seem to be thicker/hotter than others. I have the milky way wunder crops and I have done many soulcycle classes in them with no problem but I did feel when I tried on other prints in the denim luon, they did feel on the warmer side. Obviously, the material of the run crops and pants are the best when doing any sort of heavy sweating activity.

seconding Tegan, just bought the wren camo WUP in store today and they are definitely not denim luon, they are that polyestery material (88% polyester and 12% spandex) like the crbs in both colors of camo. I really think they are old stock from the ones that were out a few months ago, I haven't tried them on yet but I remember not buying them then cause of people reporting they were sheer, and I have a feeling these might be too.

but interestingly enough, they are made in the U.S.A. can't remember the last lulu item I bought like that, not sure I own any made in USA items actually.

I agree. The beachscape WUP are the first piece of denim luon that I have purchased, and they are way too hot for me. I'm considering having them hemmed into crops, but even then I think they'll be too much.

@ anon 9:59 am - thanks! I am sorry for getting people excited thinking this was the new fatigue savasana camo.

@ lilmom484 - the new full on luon is very breathable, too. I have the practice daily crops in full on luon and was surprised how cool I've felt on the step mill in them.

@ anon 11:30 pm - I didn't end up keeping the petite fleur denim WUCs. I liked how they looked a lot but I figured I would get tired of the pattern soon rather than later. I'm also not a huge fan of the denim luon - I like the coverage and compression but find it a bit hot. However, I am dying to try on the petite fleur in a run crop so am waiting for the PF Inspires and/or Rundays to hit my stores so I can try them on. I have a lot more tolerance for patterns/colors in my run crops. I am kind of weird that way. I like certain things in my run clothes that I would get tired of or not even like in my gym clothes.

I bought the WREN camo (these exact pants) from an Ontario store back in Feb...I wore them for Superbowl. They aren't denim but soft luon. I don't wear them to workout in, I wear them as casual comfy pants. That's weird they're showing up now...again. I still have the tag from them as well. I'm not crazy.

I tried on the Post Savasana Pullover at my store today... I really wanted the cashew stripe but it was huge in a 4! I'm 5'4", 120lbs (not tiny by all means) and it looked like I had my husbands sweater on. Might have been able to wear a 2 which they didn't make.

ETA: Post Savasana Pullover - the sleeves were so big they wouldn't stay pushed up on my arms like the gals in the pics.

LLA-

when you say you thought the wren camo pants "were the new fatigue savasana camo" do you mean that you know a new, to-come version actually exists? I'd love green camo in the denim luon, I hope you do know this and it's not just a hope :)

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:35 pm - No, I don't know that fatigue camo denim luon WUC/WUP exist. I am thinking they probably do not.
