Peplum Tank, New School Jacket,

I tried on the Peplum tank today. I did not like it on me - I found it too short. I wish it was just a normal straight tank because I really like the front and back of the top portion. It reminds me a lot of the old Spark Tank. I found the fit a snug TTS.

Photos of the &Go New School baseball-style Jacket. I liked the jacket but it seems rather plain in the styling. I found the fit TTS.

Bonded bottom hem.

The Here to There Tank. I found it a loose TTS. The bottom hem is bonded. The Warpstream material is interesting, kind like a stiffer more matte luxtreme. I can see getting this to use as a travel piece - it's dressy but made to sweat and breathe in. My only concern is how wrinkled it would get in a suitcase.

The Here to There pant. My store had these today but only to a size eight so I wasn't able to try them on.

New Beachscape Groovy Run shorts. Man, I wish I had ordered these last night. They look like they are already sold out on line and my stores only got them to a size ten. They really vary in pattern, though, so you might want to cherry pick them.

Free to Be Wild Bra, Lullaby Cool Racerback and Camo Boogie On Shorts.

Angel Blue Flow N Got Tank.

Yeah, I'm only 5'0 tall, but that peplum top looked short to me. Plus it has a bunch of fabric at the widest part of a lot of women's bodies. Easy pass!

OT, but is anyone else ticked off by the comments on the LLL fb page re: model's hair? Is there really a need to nitpick on something like that? Too many times I've seen people snarking on the models. It gets really annoying. Let them be. The model with the messy hair looks FINE... I did notice one of the commenters is the same person who body snarked lulumum a while back. Don't understand why people are so insecure that they must put others down...

If this ebay seller isn't you, someone is using your pics probably without your knowledge. I'd report and have it pulled

I can't believe someone has that much free time to comment on the fb page about her hair.

The girl who complained about the model's hair and lulumum's photos is really immature. Hiding behind Facebook without real life friends. She's lonely.

Well said. It bothers me to hear women putting other women down because of their looks....really?We come in all shapes and sizes which is great! It's upsetting to me personally when I hear comments about that "stick figure" or "anorexic looking..." etc. I am very thin despite efforts to put some weight on. It's just my frame, (would actually kill for some curves haha). I love that beautiful lll lineup of models is so varied. :)

anyone know if there will be Camo Groovy Runs? I'm saving all my dollars for a product that might not exist!

Normally I love Lulu items that work as streetwear but all of these &go items miss the mark.

Not only is the price point higher, but none of the pieces looks well-made or particularly flattering.

The peplum tank doesn't do anyone any favours and the lulu symbol is way too obvious on the black.

The tank is boring, boxy, and shapeless with an unflattering neckline.

The pants have that stripe down the side but the worst is that you can see the outline of the pockets. That, to me, is one hallmark of a cheaply made pair of pants. I also wonder how wrinkly the fabric might get, because if it does, those pants will look terrible.

OT here but I think Monday's upload happened quite early. I was on there at 1140 sask time and the milky way And bchscp Were all sold out at that time. The banner was already changed and all the new items were visible. Normally if upload is at 1145 (945pacific) the banner takes awhile to change and I have to go to French side to view everything new. Anyone else have the same experience?

I love my Peplum top! I wanted it in purple and was able to find it in stores. I am 5'5 and it fit me perfectly. I got so many comments on it yesterday when I wore it to the gym ... but I will be primarily wearing it for an "out and about" type shirt.

As for the model's hair ... you must be referring to the blonde one with the "bedhead" look. I'll just say "no comment."

When does the UK and HK site upload, does anyone know?

I didn't see the beachscape groovy runs online at all and I was there at upload time - are you sure they were put up? I went into my store yesterday and they had Free To Be Wild* bras, but only in the ANTI/TSBM!

to do a peplum tank right: have it a loose drop waist w/ the peplum at the bottom of the loose fit top and the peplum should be a 1/8 the length of the top like for example have the ruffle about 6 in wide and the top around 25 in long total i saw a red valentino viola cotton top done this way it was stunning and even though it was very expensive the top sold out pronto! It was so cute peplums don't look good on a dipped in waist style top where the peplum ends up looking like a riding jacket!!!! Those don't look right at all to me imo!!!!

I agree with all the comments made here regarding the negative criticism of the lulu models.
It is rude and ignorant.

Anyone else still waiting for their order to ship??

Anonymous said...

I di online chat w educator to check on my orders that are still "processing" from the upload.

Quote" please note, our systems have been a little slow due to the high volume of orders. We are not expecting to go over the 1-2 business day warehouse processing time: however we are not ruling out the chances of delay."

Cut and pasted response or what!!!!!

Funny...I'm the one who commented sarcastically about women empowering each other (or not...) on that hair post. She looks like someone who just went to a class and has messed up hair. And then the chick called her pasty this morning. UGHHH! raise each other up...not put each other down. Nice to see other people agree that post was out of line.

Let's make sure we don't rag on people about ragging on others. It's kinda not nice either. I'm just mentioning it.

I'm not getting all the hate on that model for her hair, I never even noticed before I saw the comments on here, maybe because I look mostly at the clothes. I like the current crops of models a lot, except for when they don't seem to put the right size clothes on them and tank/tops hang on them so you can't get a good idea of the fit. I don't blame the model for that, though, since it's the stylist's job to outfit them and show the clothes to advantage.

I will say lulu is hitting it out of the park with some of the hotties they've been using in the photos for the men's banners. There is one in a long red sleeve shirt and backwards baseball cap under "Men's Tops" on the Australian men's landing page that I wouldn't mind seeing more of. :-)

I thought the beachscape groovy runs were uploaded a couple of weeks ago, before the beachscape CRB. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure I remember them selling out right away.

I received an order confirmation but no shipment confirmation and I ordered 5 minutes after the upload. I called customer service and they said they were slow getting confirmations out this week which is frustrating when I paid for expedited shipping and I probably won't receive it until AFTER I would normally receive an order with free shipping. Not cool Lulu.

Regarding orders still in processing status....still. Called this morning from Calif. and requested the address be changed to another shipping address if order had not been shipped yet. Didn't want order to arrive and not be there. GEC told me about same as others...that due to high volume of orders, system they're using couldn't handle the load. Hmmm...I said OK and GEC was very kind and assurred my purchased items would ship soon. However, to myself I was thinking the upload early, checkout was less painful and much quicker than previous weeks when camo and WAFS high demand items came out, but now...there's a shipping issue...hmmm. For a big company that been around for a while now...and been around the block....they sure do have major issues sometimes...very odd. Did they oversell??? And still I wait for other peices to come out in released patterns...like years ago. For instance, WAFS March (a fav) came out in tons of peices (WUC,CRB,headbands, defines, power y's). What's up these days...an item or 2 a pattern....oye!!!

model topic...I say 'give compliments, not critisizm'. Kudos to LLL trying to be a little edgy and to all the ladies who are just beautiful...we all should all be so blessed to look so fit and pocess that beatiful skin and hair. And yes, LLA, LLL finds the most handsome, fit men...FAB! :) Focus on the clothes people :)

Yeah funny i don't care what their hair looks like i don't notice that stuff either i'm looking at the clothes and i agree its up to the stylist to ensure the correct fit, i think its lame when the item is too big and the poor model swims in the item: terrible, can't get a good idea how the item will look. at least they could show diff models in diff colors, they do sometimes and then you can usually know. I didn't get anything on this upload even though i thought about getting the beachscape w/u but i know i'm better off w/ subdued leggings i don't think i'd wear those but boy o boy were they stuning!

I never even received an order confirmation when I placed an order after upload. Then today I tried to check my order status on the site, and it said the last order I had placed had been in November?! I had ordered multiple things in February/March. I ordered the petite fleur crops on Monday night, and those are still in stock, so I just reordered them now and received an order confirmation immediately. I don't know what is up with their system, but if I receive 2 pairs in the mail, I will just make a return

@8:01am -- the Beachscape Groovy shorts came out maybe 2-3 uploads ago. I have them pinned on my Pinterest board and while I don't mark the date, I know it was a while ago -- roughly around the cashew and cadet Fo Drizzle jacket release. They are just starting to appear in stores -- Santana Row had them on Tuesday.

Me! I usually get my order the next day but I got nothing. I called and they said they are having system issues.

To the anon @ 11:40 - the photos on this blog originally come from the Lululemon store Facebook pages. They are not the property of Luluaddict. It would be up to the stores/company to remove listings that use their photos. They DO remove listings that use photos directly from the Lululemon website, in accordance with eBay's VeRO program, but at this time the Facebook images seem to be allowed. Many sellers use them to supplement their own photos.

Agreed, don't like it when people criticize the models features. Agree as well that regardless of their shape and size, they should be in the right sized clothing that will show the items to be flattering to the model.

The problem in this day and age is that people like that (on the fb page) think they are entitled to spew their opinion, as nasty as it is, thinking it is completely acceptable to do so. Imho, in recent modern times, many people are not thoughtful or gracious. People are also so attached to their device (i.e. usually phone) that it really has removed the elements of being thoughtful, decent and well mannered. A lot of people just react these days, they don't actually think about what they are saying or doing. I'm not saying everyone, but it is prevalent, again imho. I'll get off my soap box now. Peace.

OT, still do not have shipping notification from upload night... just got off the phone with the GEC. They are experiencing technical difficulties with their system at the warehouse and items will start shipping once they fix the issue.

I really like the peplum tank. I am 5'4" and I have a rather lengthy torso with shorter legs. The tank is snug around the chest area and mid-section, but flows outwardly, hiding the belly (pooch) area. This tank was found to be extremely flattering on my hourglass shaped figure. Also, I would like to point out that the peplum style gives workout wear a feminine touch/ appeal making it easy to go from your workout to run some last minute errands, grab a bite with friends on your way home, etc.

I love this top. Any idea on if it's coming back this spring? I

LuluAddict said...

@Brittney - I tend to think it won't come back. It's pretty unusual for a lululemon top. Your best bet to find it might be on eBay.
