Comparison: Still Pant to Still Pant II

Wren Still Pant I left, Cadet Still Pant II Right, both size 10

Cadet Still Pant II left, size 10, and Branch Still Pant I, size 8

I returned the Not So Petite Fleur Wunder Under crops I ordered last week (I like the print but figure I will tire of it rather soon, particularly in a pant) and picked up the new Still Pant IIs in Cadet Full On Luon. I hadn't bought a pair of Still Pants since Wren came out (Wow, didn't realize that was three years ago!). After that, luon fabric got too thin and the material didn't drape as nicely as my older pairs of Stills. The new Full On Luon solves this issue and the Cadet Stills drape very nicely. (I've also tried on the Heathered Medium Gray Still IIs and find them on the thinner side (by which I mean I can tell the color of my underwear in a deep bend) and they don't drape as nice. Though they are listed as being full on luon on the website I don't think Heathered Medium Gray is a full on luon material, but I could be wrong. I've found it rather thin in every bottom I've tried on in the color.)

The website says the Still II's fit has been updated so they are snug in the rear and loose in the leg. I thought they fit about the same as older Stills until I wore my Wren last night and realized they've definitely taken a lot of the excess material out of the crotch/hip area, so much so that you probably don't have to size down nearly as much. I've read of people going down two sizes in Still pants to get the desired fit and I think that's now a thing of the past.

I compared the new Cadet Still IIs to my older Wren Stills. Both were size ten. I also have a pair of older Still in Branch in size eight.

The bottom line is that my new size ten Still IIs fit much closer to an older pair of size eight Still pants. Here are some measurements and photos:

OT but since I haven't seen it mentioned here at all, emails with instructions for the seawheeze shorts were sent this week. mine was in my junk folder so people should check if they didn't get one, seeing as how they're setting us up for a race to order scenario.

Ohhh thank you so much for the comparison! I have been dying to know.

You say you don't need to size down nearly as much. Do you mean you should still size down though?

silly question...what color tops go with cadet???

Would love to see the Still Shorts come back. Great for pilates and yoga. Flattering for a wide variety of body types.

Hi, I recently bought a dance studio jacket on ebay and when I received it in the mail it did not look like lululemon at all. The tag looked like it was made on a computer, the stitching was uneven, and the reflective logo looked puffy. I have other dance studio jackets purchased in store in other colors (I usually buy in store--ebay only when the item I want sells out), and the material felt different and the reversible side material seemed really slick and shiny in the ebay version. What would be the steps I should take to proceed? I have never had a problem with counterfeit lulu on ebay--most sellers I purchase from have had legitimate lulu. Is this a common problem? Also, the seller is not from china but is local and from an american address with glowing reviews, I really wasn't expecting this! I'm so sad!!!

@ anon 11: 55 am - I would say you probably don't have to anymore.

@ anon 12:15 pm - I haven't fully played with Cadet but I bought the lullaby and beachscape CRBs, which I know definitely goes with it.

@ anon 2:48 pm - I'd contact them and tell them it's a fake and that you'd like to return it. If they don't let you, then open a claim against them. Do everything via ebay messaging so you are covered. Ebay sides with sellers all the time so you should be fine.

@anon 12:15pm, I have a few cadet color bottoms. Here is what I have paired them with so far. Paris perfection, pretty pink, heathered medium grey, tender violet, Bali breeze, mint moment, surge, vintage pink, lullaby, lavender dusk, Beachscape, Bordeaux drama, bleached coral, white and black. These are some newer colors and some older ones. Hope this helps. I actually have been using these bottoms more than plain old black !!

@ anon 12:15

I treat cadet as I do any other navy. Looks great with pinks, oranges, bali breeze, medium heather grey and lullaby per LLA.

Has LuLu ever made a cotton version of the Still? I would love this style in a breathable natural opaque fabric like the practise cotton.

Obviously, you got a fake Lulu DSJ. Local mailing address does not mean local sellers, why can't a Chinese live in States? Good reviews could be from their friends. Or, how about a local person bought a fake Lulu from China, now try to re-sell? I'd contact the seller, tell them you know it's a fake and want a full refound, and you will put a terrible review otherwise, and contact eBay as well. Just try everything to get your money back instead of keeping a fake that you will never wear, because no matter how cheap is it, the worst part is people may think you are cheap if you wear a fake Lulu.

OT - I'd love to see reviews/hauls from the warehouse sale this weekend, if anyone has any please share! :)

@2:48, same thing happened to me I bought a studio jacket and it was so fake! The seller had to refund me and ebay told me because it was clearly a counterfeit I didn't have to send back to Canada. I've never sold or bought anything counterfeit so I threw it away.

Yes, it would be fun to hear about the warehouse sale. What did you all find ? Was it worth it ? Thanks.

Yes, let's hear some warehouse sale stories! There has been almost nothing mentioned about it. Good stuff or just sheer, overpriced wmtm gear?

I've got a somewhat off-topic question re eBay, since eBay comes up so often. How much over retail would you pay for a used item that was pretty popular (not quiet stripe WUC crazy popular), but popular?

Here's my example: a CRB in a popular pattern that I'd be paying $68 for. I feel silly bc I've never paid over retail for anything off eBay, but this piece is older and doesn't come up often.

Guess I'm wondering if it's stupid, and also wondering who out there has done it too.

Never thought I'd be so hooked on workout clothes lol

I went to the warehouse sale both Saturday and Sunday and had a good experience both times. Friday I arrived at 5:15am and waited in line until 8am. Everyone was nice and time went quite quickly. I was able to snag a tender violet brushed define, a limitless blu Run: Bundle Me jacket with reflective hood, a Tata tamer and undies. Saturday, I went because I heard that men's items were 4/$100. I went and got my husband 2 polos, a camo jacket and an el primo jacket. I also found a pair of black groove pants with fresh teal/lavender dusk! They also had Sigg water bottles marked to $4, so I grabbed a couple. I thought everyone was really nice and had a good experience. In my 4 hours there, I didn't see any pushing or shoving. The deals weren't great until Saturday, but I found things I wouldn't have been able to anymore. Things I almost got, but passed on : pace setter skirt, seawheeze registration shorts, practice daily crops, inspire crops, run: swiftlies, cool racerbacks, astro pants.

Yes, I own 2 pairs of older stills and be stills in organic cotton. From approx. 7-8 years ago???? Love them!!! :) I hate the new luon ones-too scratchy for me. :(

I am very very careful now from buying anything from eBay!! I had a woman who sold me an older Lulu jacket from over 10 years ago and she didn't take very good pictures. In the pictures she actually hid that there were holes in the sleeves. when the jacket came to me, I realized she had completely misrepresented her ad online and neglected to mention quite a few details. I nicely emailed her through eBay and she ignored me! I emailed her a couple times and I was ignored! Finally I ended up filing a complaint through PayPal and PayPal contacted me and said that she was also ignoring them!! The seller dragged it out for over three months before PayPal gave me a refund and it resulted in the seller sending me a nasty email telling me that I was a horrible buyer. I was nice the whole time and explained to her that she had plenty of time to send a resolution and she ignored both myself & Paypal! I went back later and discovered she left eBay completely! So tired of scammers on EBay!! (Not to mention the 2 women who had excellent feedback & sold me fake Louis Vuitton in Canada! Swore me up-and-down they were authentic!) there are a lot of great sellers on eBay, but it's the bad ones that ruin it for everyone! Good luck with your claim!! :)))

I was able to hit the warehouse sale early on Friday morning. I got in at about 8:40; the sale started at 8. I snagged a few bundle up jackets for $74, a define for $74, bras for $29, socks, undies and satin pirouette headband for $4, Sea Wheeze track attack shorts for $29, and some no limits tanks for $34. Got a back on track tank for $34 too. Swiftly ls for $44. Mens kung fu jacket black for $74. There were some good finds to be had on Friday for sure. I was super happy to find the define and bundle ups. Was disappointed in the pants and shorts selection. There were hardly any WU pants or crops in my size in colors i was interested in. No groovy run shorts. All in all, I had a good time and was happy with my purchases. I have gotten better deals on tanks on store sale racks, but it has been years since i've had the chance to buy a define. Love the bundle up and was thrilled to buy a few more. I didn't experience any bad behavior by other customers. My friend went back on Sunday when they were slashing prices and she said there was nothing worth buying. At the end they were tweeting deals like 10 items for $50. Lots of burnout long sleeves that no one was buying.

@2:48 & 7:15 AM I would ask the seller to provide a copy of their sales receipt. If they purchased directly from Lululemon then they would have a receipt. Is it possible it's a quality issue on Lulu's part?

OT - does anyone know if the camo front racer tank made it to Canadian stores? I only saw the black and white come in for Canada online.

Anon 6:56 - I would look at completed auctions on ebay (for the same item if possible) to get an idea of how much your item might sell for.

Hope you can take back your still pants because they are on WMTM already.

Anonymous said...

^ Yes just saw them on WMTM, trying to decide if I should take the risk for $59....I will probably get bored at work tomorrow and snatch them if there's any left by then..
