i think the In a Flash Singlet looks cute, but might be a tricky fit. i have mixed feelings about that Hotty Hot Skirt. i do like that it's a slimmer design, but not sure about if everything still stay in place (for a run--if it's for running).

Oh that skirt!! WANT.

ugh whats with the tie round the middle of the vest!! NOOOOOO!!!! Adds like 10 pounds:(

The Spring Fling Puffy vest looks cute as sported by the LLL model.

The plaid is a disaster. Looks like cast off fabric from Ivivva.

Hotty Hot skirt? I think not. It's already riding up in the photo with the person standing there and you can see the shorts through the sheer hem. Yeah it's great there are shorts underneath, but it just looks messy.

No, no, no, no to all of it. That plaid is a flash in the pan, the singlet pulls awkwardly, and everything else just looks confused and wrinkly.

whoop whoop. just got my power purple free to be wild downunder in NZ. no wonder they sold out up yr way. LOVE! narrower band round the middle but totally works as it's thinner at the back. off to order the black now. Looks great under a CRB too which is more often than not my base layer 365 days a year.:)

I'm thinking lulu needs to take a hint from the bronco's uniforms with the extra swatch of fabric down the butt!

Sacramento Arden Fair LLL posted a picture yesterday (of Maddie) which features a Forme II in what looks as if it could be Bali Breeze. I would love a Forme (as well as a solid CRB) in that color.

Also, can anyone confirm whether Bali Breeze is indeed the same color featured on the cool version of the assorted stripe in late 2013? (Sort of a Menthol, Toothpaste, if Fresh-Teal-and-Very- Green-had-a-baby color...)

THANKS again to LLA for all of the hard work! :)

ugh...that skirt is vile!

Weird, these pics totally look like Trackers, but the other ones like like Track Attacks. Either way, that is one wild print.
That white skirt is just a mess!

Those shorts look cute, and with a solid colored top not too wild at all IMO. Love the vest although the Duck Dynasty comment really made me laugh!!

I could never, ever wear that skirt. More power to those who can...

@ anon 5:57am - I think that is a Fresh Teal forme but I would love a Bali Breeze Forme II

like that silver windbreaker- but def need to see it more angles etc. and not fond of gray for that either! Lulu please give us a nice color in a outer wear piece.

How many layers are on this skirt? Not the best design.

Like the in a flash singlet and the spring fling windbreaker (I so need a spring run jacket but with cooler temps in Canada, would like something water repellent and fleece lined). Interested in checking those out though! Verdict still out on the spring fling vest- will have to see it in store.

what about the polka dot long sleeve the girl is wearing under her vest? is that new?

Anonymous said...

Thanks so much, LLA. You are probably right that the Forme on that facebook page is Fresh Teal rather than Bali Breeze. I was likely engaged in some wishful thinking. :)

Random question- Has anybody ever had a Fed-X package indicate that it was delivered at your door but never was? I'm so mad, it is my Chai time sweater in a size 2 and of coarse they are sold out now:( I am still trying to get Fed-X to call me back,.. I have a feeling I will never see this sweater and be out $88. Has anybody ever experienced this dilemma?? Thanks:)

The extra piece on the back of the skirt gives the impression that it's hiked up over the bum. I imagine it feels that way, too. Don't like it. I am sorry I didn't discover skirts until after the days of that one with all the ruffles (can't remember the name). I have 4 pacesetters and I adore them! They are heaven to run in.

That plaid is straight up fugly.

That's from H&M well over a year ago. I have the same one.

Hi lulu friends! So glad someone pointed out that the roll down WUs were uploaded to the US site - I'm so excited for these. I wanted the high waisted WUs but really wanted them for casual wear and the logo on the calf ruined it for me. Also excited to see the diamond dot, have been hearing mixed reviews but I have high hopes and I love dark leggings that aren't plain black.

OT: does anyone have problems with their speed tight *tech? I love the material and the cut, and my *cozy and *interlock speeds are the bomb, but the tech ones keep giving me little heart aches. It feels like they fall down so fast until I'm sweaty enough for them to stick to my legs (sorry if that's TM). And I also have some issues with shirts riding up - it's like the material is way slippery on the outside. Anyone have luck with any particular shirt style staying down with the tech material?

I like the In a Flash singlet! The cuts on the side might be too high, but hopefully not because I'm really into the cutouts in the back - love subtle feminine details that aren't too in your face.

On the other hand, those baby ties/belts on the new jacket and vest are pretty weird to me... Not totally sold on those.

I'm pretty pumped for bali breeze - i think it'll go with so many colors and overlap into all seasons! Very green is just gorgeous to look at, and I feel like this will be the same, or maybe even better. Now if only they can release some good staples in it...

Not in love with any of this new stuff, except for the wee are from space pattern. I would like to see both the green and the pink in CRBs!!!

I went to the store yesterday to check out the Zing Pink CRB. YUCK!!! The color did nothing for me. I was so bummed as I think the last CRB that I bought was a Green Bean one in the early fall. I want a new CRB Lulu. Please make some that aren't fugly or repeats of colors from last year.

OT: thought i was miraculously immune to pilling (despite the fact that my thighs love each other and evidently touch all the time..), but my beloved speeds in brisk bloom (which is probs my fav print everrr) have started to pill on the front on my thighs over my hip flexor region. It happened after my first run in them... I took them to a store and was told that it was because of the top I was wearing with it and that I should be wearing a "soft, tech top". I told her that I've only ever worn it with luon (CRB) or rulu (star runner half zip)... She couldn't explain the pilling and told me that if it gets worse to bring it back and they'll exchange (likely when there aren't any more brisk bloom ones left...).

Has anyone else experienced luxtreme pilling from a shirt?

TIA! :)

Anon 5:26--yes, that happened to me. If the FedEx record says it was delivered, they will stand by that & not even attempt to look into it. The only way you'll get your purchase is if the seller (lulu in this case) had it insured. In my case, the seller sent me a new package (not lulu). Hope it works out for you.

Love the plaid. I think colors that complement instead of being matchy-matchy are more sophisticated & stylish. I think lulu got it right on these (pop plaid was too matchy-matchy for me).

Hi 5:26 someone had to have signed the package for them to say it was delivered. I had the same thing happen about a month ago, it turned out the guy across the street had signed, and was holding the package, he finally dropped it under the gate to my front door. I live in Brooklyn NY, so I instantly thought someone had taken the package.

The shorts are awful, that waist band is pretty unattractive and I bet it is uncomfortable. No to any of those jacket vest things.
I finally got my yoga smoga crops (free to play) I like the material a lot 86% supplex nylon and 14%lycra. the blue color is really dense. The feel of the material is like old luon and also a bit like the iplux in lulu WUC.
I will see how they perform at the gym.

The rain jacket look nice in the front but why the zipper at the back?

Anon 5:26, I had a similar experience with UPS and another online retailer. It was indicated as delivered and was not delivered to me. It turns out, it was left at a neighbors house. Luckily the neighbor was nice enough to bring it over to me the next day. In the 24 hours that it was "lost", I called into the online retailer and let them know and they in turn got into contact with UPS. Good luck, I'm sure it will work itself out.

@ Anon 5:26 am: I had the same thing happen to me, so I filed a claim with both Lululemon and FedEx. They ask you a bunch of questions about the package, etc., then after they have processed the claim, they will refund you if the package is not found. In my case, FedEx had left the package on the wrong doorstep, which I found out when my neighbor left a note on my door saying they thought they had a package that was intended for me.

To all in the U.S. who were aggravated that they could not participate in LLLs Canadian online warehouse sale, you might feel better after you read this:

Yes--usually delivered the next day. Not sure why that happens!

anon @ 5:26am - Yes I have had a FedEx parcel that stated it was "Delivered" (it turned out it was delivered to a similar street address not to mine when I looked into it). I contacted the Fed Ex in my city and they ended up finding it and delivered it to my correct address (I now send items to my work not home). However, if someone TOOK your parcel then that is an entirely different issue.

@ anon 9:36 am - Honestly, what did you expect you were going to get for $29 Inspires? Of course they dump defective stuff at warehouse sales. If you were up on which colors/styles were sheer navigating the real deals at the warehouse sale isn't too bad. The LA warehouse sale dumped tons of white and bleached coral crops for $9.99 and those were as see through as they come.

smooth sailing into seawheeze from downunder for this ambassador. So looking forward to meeting all you ladies and running together!! Whoop whoop:)

Anonymous said...

A lot of those pics were from in store items that are currently on shelves. Not just warehouse stuff.

Anonymous said...

Why did they put a ribbon in the middle of the vest, it only adds weight, if you want to pull the waist in hide the string on inside, and what is with the shoulder pads? Great print bad style

Anonymous said...

Holy crap. Sea Wheeze already sold out! I was able to register (and was only in line for a couple minutes). My first half, woohoo!

I don't think it's fair to say that someone should expect defective merchandise when getting a good deal on it. That's ludicrous! As is saying that a person who is not "up" with a style/color deserves defective merchandise on WMTM with no opportunity to return.

However, IF the warehouse sale is a place where defective merchandise goes, then market it as such. It's common knowledge that outlets sell defective items, so, yeah, that's expected, as you say.

Was the warehouse sale marketed as bad/second run items? As far as I know, it wasn't. Worse, it seemed to be marketed as gift to fellow Canadians...some gift.

@anonynous 9:18 AM: I was also wondering why the zipper on the back of the Fo Drizzle, and if it's a functional zipper I'm thinking it's for when you want to wear a big sweater or fleece under it? so it will be practical when it's cold out but you can cinch it up and have it look more fitted when you don't need the layers? that could be a good design idea....

LuluAddict said...

@ J - I think it is fair to expect a super sale to not offer the best stuff. When I shop at Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx I definitely run into a lot more defective stuff than I do in a regular store.

Years ago I used to buy a lot of sale rack stuff from Lucy and quite a bit of the largest marked down stuff was defective - breaking clasps and unraveling hems. Lululemon didn't start dumping the defective stuff into WMTM until a couple of years ago but when something makes a quick move to WMTM - such as the Race with Grace crops, which are on markdown in stores for $59 right now, I suspect a problem with them.

Also, if you've been trying Inspires on for the past couple of years you have to know that some are more see-through than others and they pretty much always require a try on to know which ones.

I didn't say people deserved defective stuff but it should not have been a total shock that bottoms on the sheer side were going to pop up at the sale since that is all lululemon has been making for a good two years now.

Anonymous said...

anon at 9:36 here. Thanks J. That's sort of what I thought too - that if the defect makes the item un-wearable, final sale is not really a fair policy. Of course people "in the know" have an advantage, I guess. I thought the article might make the people who couldn't access the sale feel like they didn't really miss out on much.

Anonymous said...

11:07am - totally agree!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 11:23 am - how are you guys on this blog but not "in the know" about what items are sheer or not? I mean, the whole warehouse sale was kind of geared to people "in the know" since it started late at night and all the best stuff was gone with a few hours and totally gone within 24.

Anonymous said...

Agree with 11:23am and J.

If merchandise is defective it should be labelled as such. When something is significantly marked down I guess it's fair to expect people to think there's something wrong with the produce, but a defective item on final sale is different than something that is just unpopular or unflattering.

Anonymous said...

Even the article confirms that Lululemon did not label the items properly:

"While the items came with a tag saying "things don't always go as planned, this garment has fit, function, or visual imperfections," the defects apparently weren't disclosed at the point of sale online.

A Lululemon spokesperson confirmed to us that some defective pants were sold to customers without proper disclosure. "

I am in the "know" thanks to living next to an outlet and digging through this blog's archives before ripping tags off my purchases (thanks for the awesome blog, btw). I'm just thinking of people who aren't in the know.

I'm not even in Canada, but I thought it was crappy to give the Canadians this special sale (awesome) then sell them defective merch on final sale (crappy). Hopefully they 'll let them return w/o hassle.

I agree that mega-sales usually have defective merch , but the masses are usually aware of that when buying. I know that the Gap Clearance Center is a gamble for returned Athleta merch and that MJR Sales has defective/returned Victoria Secret, but I didn't realize the LLL Warehouse Sale was of that nature. Live and learn ,-)

OT - someone asked a question a few days ago about the WU high/low vs roll down. I now own ever color in high/low and the diamond dot roll down. These diamond dots are my favorite! Not at all sheer in my tts, and they look fancier to me than plain black leggings.

The roll down WU's have a higher waist. When rolled "up" they hit almost an inch above my belly button. This gives the belly a slimming effect. The roll down waist band has the logo on it twice - one for when it's up, and one for when it's rolled down.

The high/low WU's hit about an inch below my belly button. To me, the waist band is too short to ever fold over, but I love it up because I don't have to worry about looking like a plumber when I pick up my dog's ball at the park. The high/low has the logo on the back of the left knee.

I can't locate a waist pocket in either style like the normal WU's have.

Hope that helps!
