The vest looks like garbage bag...

Something just doesn't look right with that vest. It looks like it adds pounds to most of the models I have seen it in.

Yep, they screwed up the fit of the back of the vest. Why couldn't they simply make it the same as the back of the jacket? Take the elastic out of the bottom so and put a cute ruffle wouldn't have been so hard, would it have?

And then they messed up the grey jacket with polka dots. Oh well, I'm saving a ton of money for stuff I don't need anyway.

OT, I went to the Berkeley store yesterday....nothing. They had about 10% of the new stuff. I actually liked the new cadet blue tank but not in a hurry to purchase it. And one of your readers noticed the cadet blue LS swiftly in the jacket model shot (thank you!) so I'll wait for that.

I just recently bought a new back pack so the fact that LLL's doesn't have a front chest strap or a waist strap for such a large, and potentially heavy pack doesn't make me feel like I missed out.

Maybe everybody is hyped about the green jacket, only because the color is selling out fast, but never thought about if that color really looks good on 'yourself'. I tried both colors in the store last night, and found out I looked tired with the green, and I got the classic black.

Yea, the vest is straight up wt fug. No to everything.

i've always wanted to look like i was wearing a garbage bag !! YAY LULU!!

A bit of a store report (east coast of Canada) from me. I went last night. There were a few interesting things to note. They had a BUNCH of the Post Practice Cardi left which I thought was interesting. I tried it on in the orange before but just wasn't willing to pay that much for it. Also, they had a few Open Your Heat LS on sale! For $54 I believe. Too bad they didn't have any in my size.

Finally, I have been SO skeptical of lulu pants for so long now that I haven't even wanted to try them on. But, I really liked the new Wee are from Space crops in the Fatigue Green! They had lots of those left too. The material was really soft and the pattern disguised lumps and bumps! They were also definitely not see through! I would've bought them but I don't really have any shirts to go with them....they are a maybe for sure though. Another problem - the seam that goes down in front of the crotch in the darker colored thread I think emphasizes potential camel toe! Not sure why they would do that.

Bottom line - I think things are changing at my store. Things are not flying off the shelves like they used to, which honestly make me kind of happy because maybe Lulu is finally going to get a bit of a financial wake up call.

LLL has officially jumped the shark. These all look like they were designed by Hefty. The most hideous upload ever!

These are just terrible. The jackets look ok, but why are people paying Lulu's outrageous prices for "ok" items that are unflattering and not particularly weatherproof? And the vest.... How is that thing possibly sold out? Look how it rides up in any of the photos where the wearer's hands are not in the pockets (or if the wearer has any other build than very slender). I feel like when people go bonkers to purchase items like these right away, they make everyone else who wears Lulu look like a sucker. I will happily shell out for comfortable clothing that makes me look awesome and performs well during physical activity, or goes great from streetwear to workout wear; none of this stuff fits the bill.

i really like the vest, got it in store yesterday but now in trying it on - it does that same pucker thing in front as the girl in the photo... it might have to go back, but other than that i actually like it much more than i thought i would. also saw the iconic wrap - it's lovely, it has bamboo, so it's a lot softer and fits much better than the version from this summer which i thought was a bit stiff.

Did anybody else feel like they needed to size up with the vest ? I am 5'6 lean 32dd and ended up with the six in store but did also order the 4, not here yet. Also any thoughts on sizing for the spring fling puffy jacket? Thanks!

Actually, I think the Camo vest looks flattering on a lot of the educators, both the curvy and slim. Admittedly, Fatigue Green is one of my favorite colors because of my medium yellow skin and light hazel eyes -- so maybe I'm attracted to the Fatigue pieces more than the average person.

OT: Could someone please post a comparison of Very Light Flare and Pop Orange? In some photos the two colors look as if they would be similar -- in some, not so much. I feel pretty sure the Flare is
more saturated than Bleached Coral. On the other hand, Pop Orange seems quite comparable to Flare. That being said, I could be wrong. After all, I'm the one who convinced myself that a LLL Facebook photo of a Fresh Teal Forme was Bali Breeze. Wishful thinking. In her wisdom, LLA set me straight :).

Again OT: I'm on the fence about the Iconic Wrap. I'm only 5'3" so the length would probably be good, but I worry the style might be too messy to my petite frame. I tried it on this summer in the store and found it confusing.

Once again, thanks for all the posts, LLA. I really appreciate them.

saw the tracker shorts in the stripes and also the orange, the material on the striped ones is soft 4 way and the other is a bit stiffer 2 way. It looks like they run small.
the size 4 looked more like a 2 in both pair.
The new green color is really nice in person. Also the power Y in the bali green is really thick luon and I think it is really pretty. I can't wear those so I will settle for the scoop neck in that color.

Lululemon does not make good gear for rain or for outdoor activities.
I stick to patagonia, Marmot and a few of the sailing gear companies that I order from. The jackets above are just terrible, not just design wise, but I bet they would not perform. I don't buy jackets or rain gear from lulu for that reason

The backpack does clip together in the front. I saw it in person. Not on, but there is a front closure. The inside of the pack is amazing! So bright and fun.

I did not size up in the vest. I stayed TTS - the larger size looked baggy and sloppy. I tried both the camo and the black and liked both. Went with camo since I own enough black and wanted something different. It is definitely a try-on item as it will not suit every body type. It is a slim fit.

I can't believe that vest sold out in the camo colour. It is the most unflattering design Lulu has ever put out in a vest. Not only does it have cap sleeves (why?), all the other details assure that the wearer will look like an over decorated garbage bag. Or Robin Hood. Take your pick.
On the other hand, I love, love the Fo rain jacket, simple, but with a twist, practical and not overly feminine. Unlike the new puffy jacket where the ruffle on the bottom looks like an afterthought. Let's throw a ruffle on it, they will lap it up and we can charge more!

@6:36 AM, I agree! I didn't get anything in the last upload - thought most of it was just not that attractive (I especially disliked both the vest and the Fo Drizzle jacket, and I loathe camouflage and anything in the olive-green and orange palettes), and I was surprised when I logged on that morning to see how many people thought the most recent upload was full of goodies. I liked the pattern on the heathered cadet blue SS swiftly, but cadet blue strikes me as a rather dull-colored blue, so it's not appealing to me. (I prefer more intense, saturated colors.) I do like the Bali Breeze color a lot, but I wasn't wild about the tanks it comes in, and the Iconic Wrap I thought made even the models look kind of like they were wearing sacks - the design of those wraps seems to emphasis the waist and make waists look wider than they really are - not what I need! On the plus side, I drained my wallet on the plum, deep zin, and winter orchid items, so perhaps this is all for the best. :-) It always fascinates me as to what some people love and others can't stand - vive la difference! (I'm still mourning that peplum tunic that never went online, even though I was like the only one on Planet Earth who wanted one. :-)

Anyone know if there are black iconics in US stores? I am an online purchaser and REALLY want that in the black that Canada got- do we think it will show up next week or only be in US stores!?!? I need that in a 6 so don't want to miss out on it! Might need an angel!!!

Fo Drizzle, wow what a hideous jacket from both the front and back...and just what a girl wants, some puff around the butt. LOL sold out. LLL is laughing all the way to the bank.

Vest, sure maybe for wearing with jeans. Oh right, I'm throwing it on with shorts and a tank like some of the photos I've seen. Realize they're just modelling, but c'mon.

I bought the black one in a Southern California store today. Tegan.wheeler@gmail.com if you need me. California tax sucks, but I would be happy to go if you'd like. (As if I need an excuse to go to Lulu tomorrow)

WMTM is up and posted. Lots of new stuff on sale online.

Earlier WMTM tonight!

@10:12 -- I'm also wondering why the peplum tunic never went online... There haven't been many pictures of it either. I don't live near a store, so pretty bummed we didn't get a shot at that one online. WTH Lulu?

The wmtm has a ton of broken links

Went to store today..

There were only a few vests left. I ordered a 4 in camp online and it is too tight. Tried to 6 and it fits much better. Does pucker like the photos. The camp is really nice and neutral (more interesting than black). I bought the 6 and will be returning the 4. Reference 5'3", 112, 34B.

The Fo Drizzle is just so wrinkly. All the pictures show it wrinkled and in the store. I didn't even bother trying it on.

The tracker shorts were frumpy on, even though the plaid was really cute. They only had size 4 so I couldn't size down to see.

The vest is really cute. Must size up though.

So excited! I scored a LS Black Pique Base Runner! I've been waiting for them to go on sale, plus it's been sooo cold lately here in Seattle! Should get it tomorrow, can't wait! Woohoo!

The camouflage short sleeve vest is cute with a long sleeve, but it still reminds me of the Juicy Couture short sleeve jackets for little girls. Love the camo but the style is just not for me.

@8:23 AM - I have the pique base runner and it is super warm. You will love it. I am on the east coast and was sad to wake up and see that the deep zin open your heart long sleeve was already sold out in my size.

I picked up the Moto jacket, a raspberry all sport bra and a plum swiftly tank.

Peplum tunic - surely they were just saving you from regret. Bet if you head to an outlet you'll find them.

I literally laughed when I saw the vest online but when I saw it in the store - there was only one left and it was my size - I was totally surprised that I loved it. I still have no idea when I'll wear it but it's adorable. I'm a 4 or 6 and got the 6. My friends agreed -- awful online but cute in person. I got the silver jacket too but can't decide if I should keep it. I love the front but am bugged by the back. It's really comfortable. It runs big but I went with the 6 because I need room for layering and shoulder mobility.

Got the camo vest for my birthday. Had to size up because it fit quite narrow in the bust and hips for me. (I normally wear size 6 in tops, and wraps). With that being said, sizing up is a bit roomier, and wearing layers underneath is possible and more comfortable especially while running. The draw string waist cinches very nicely, which gives a nice silhouette. In addition, I find that sizing up helps with it laying down as opposed to riding up (as seen in the pictures here).

I splurged on buying the black Fo Drizzle jacket (size 6) as well! I've been waiting for a jacket like this for sometime. It's not to long, nor too short. I just love the zipper, and the gather detail on the back. It gives it a nice line and style. The ribbon like detail behind the arms is also a nice touch. I find the back detailing of the jacket quite unique, and even gives a dressy look to it. The front of the jacket is much more simple. The silver zippers give it a nice shine. The hidden pocket inside the jacket, with cord exit, is an added bonus for having easy access to your phone/mp3 player. My I find the sleeves a little long. Unfortunately Lulu is not able to hem these in store, but for now I fold them and it's fine for now. I might consider taking them to a professional tailor. I recommend steam ironing the jacket, to take out the wrinkles, and it will look even better!

I liked the Spring Fling jacket-
Looks flattering on my shape/size (which is short w/ a little excess belly:).
But two huge issues:
1) not to be gross, and I am not a heavy sweat-er type, but I the first day I wore it I was out pushing my toddler in the stroller (not that intense of a workout) and the coat smelled like sweat for a week after. No other coat I have ever owned, Lululemon or otherwise, has ever had this issue.
Weird.
2) the hood. Totally useless in rain and wind! No cinch-cord or drawstring.
But what should I expect for $178?! ;)
