Tracker IIs are a Sea Wheeze Shorts Option This Year

I forgot to post this earlier. For those of you who never made it to the Check Out Screen the shorts choices are the Tracker IIs, which a lot of people really like and fit similar to Track Attacks, and Speed Shorts.

I put this in the comments on the other post but my husband speculates that perhaps lululemon had some sort of denial of service attack today to cause such a prolonged outage on the registration site. It's not out of the realm of possibility, given lululemon's high profile in the press this year. The fact that lululemon is saying they will update the status of registration rather than re-open it at noon tomorrow supports this theory, too.

LLA - what is a denial of service attack? Thanks!

thanks for the pictures of the shorts, I'm a bit intimidated by the short length of the speed shorts so the Tracker II looks much more appealing (Anon 2:29pm from earlier :D)

As someone who has never bought either pair of shorts (and is a bit self conscious of my thighs!) could someone comment on the fit of both? I am hoping to register for Seawheeze tomorrow and want to select the best pair for me. Thanks!

It's essentially when a website gets deliberately overwhelmed with traffic so it gets clogged up.

Anyone have a fit review for the tracker shorts? I have lots of the groovys and wear a size 6 in those, but the trackers look more baggy. Maybe I can get away with a size down? Love the speed shorts but they don't ever look quite right on me. Thanks in advance.

I agree with you Luluaddict, although I have a hard time figuring out why any company would want to postpone a 1.2 million dollar payday, even by a day or two. But Lulu is in desperate need of some good PR so I guess it wouldn't surprise me.

Perhaps, Anthony Weiner hacked the site.... ;)

In previous years have the Seawheeze shorts been 2-way or 4-way stretch? Thanks

@Megan - they've had a print on them so 2-way

Hi, @Meg -- I can't comment on the Tracker II specifically because they are new, but I am someone who never wears shorts. (Ever.) I have pretty muscular thighs and I'm only 5'3", so I'm super-self conscious of how stump-like they look and the speeds from my 1st SeaWheeze are withering away in my closet. Last year's Track Attacks, however, were the first pair of shorts I ever liked enough to not only wear, but actually buy a second pair of -- they're very flattering if you have thicker thighs. And the message we got about the shorts described the Tracker IIs as being similar to those, so I'd say those are your best bet. Speeds look amazing on gals with fab legs, but IMO they work for a pretty small segment of the population.

Just tried on the new colab tights I rcvd yesterday. Seam is not sewn correctly so one leg is slightly twisted. The seaming and zipper draw attention to this so...

it's going back. Bummed. I'm super picky about that stuff.

Good summary of what DDOS attacks are from wiki: /en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack

The shorts look sick. Excited to see the new print.

9:53 AM, what a hassle. Wouldn't call it super picky. Should be perfect at LLL prices. Not likes it's Old Navy and maybe you "settle" because they're $20.

Thanks so much @luluFemom for the insight :) I think the Trackers are for me. Cheers!
