On-Line Warehouse Sale For Canada

The rumors were correct and there is an on-line warehouse sale for Canada. I can't see the site but I've seen screen caps. This link should get you there.

I just read a great quote on one of the boards: It went something like this - Funny lululemon can't get their heads out of their asses on normal upload nights but they can make sure Americans can't get into the Canadian warehouse sale.

I couldn't agree more!!!

If you want to see the sale, do this:

American and other non-Canadians, if you want to see the sale, do this - Thanks to Ms. C. for the workaround.

DEFINE JACKETS OMG ... BLESS THE HEAVENS MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

So ridiculous. US gets 70 items, Canada 27. Some "warehouse" sale. The prices aren't great either.

Anonymous said...

wow - way to leave a bad taste in our mouth lulu. I just find this to be in poor taste - even the cutesy beaver, we still have something for you, you should move to Canada, hardy har... would have picked up a few things in WMTM but just can't bring myself to do it. This might have been the push I needed to back away from the crappy company.

why not offer to both US and Canada?? Don't make it a country specific thing. very strange thinking goes on at this company.

LuluAddict said...

No, there is a ton of stuff. My link must not be working.

Anonymous said...

Lots of 2's and 4's if you're lucky to be those sizes...otherwise nothing that exciting on the Canadian site I'm afraid... ;(

Anonymous said...

Hi all. Since US can't participate in the warehouse sale, I suggest that we all boycott and stop buying lulu during that duration Jan 16-19. What say you?!!!
We can't even see the content of the warehouse sale!!!

Anonymous said...

No the link isn't working. You just can't even look at the warehouse sale if you are in the U.S.. I think some Canadians are confused too...it's not directly in the WMTM, you have to click the warehouse link...in Canada. Could you post the screen caps here? I am so curious.

I posted a bunch of screenshots in the LuluChat Group (@luluaddict, check them out)

Your link works because the regular US WMTM only had 30 items. The Moto jacket I bought on sale for $129 is now $89! :(

I almost crumbled beneath the hype and grabbed one of the Harry Potter Power Ys and Inkwell Green Asanas until reason set in and reminded me why I haven't pulled the trigger before tonight. Because it's all fugly and not cheap enough to buy fugly (well, Brisk Broom isn't fugly,, but one can only have so much of that print). Bring on the new stuff, please!

Anonymous said...

LLA or anyone in Canada can you provide the actual URL to the page? I am in Europe and can't access it from the one above in this post but I can hide my IP through a free program. But I need to enter the full URL.
Thank you!

Anonymous said...

thanks so much for the heads-up! i picked up a stuff your bra for $19, all sport bra for $14, track attack shorts for $24, and turbo run shorts for $24. so happy!

So what's up with that Rasberry Forme *Brushed*? I received one as a gift for Christmas...my tag reads Forme II Brushed and was bought on sale for $79. It's definitely brushed, has cuffins, and looks more like my Forme IIs (not the squared off shoulders of my Aqua Forme I). Just wondering what's up and why it's not selling. Does it bleed or something? Or just a preference thing? Or is it labeled incorrectly?

Anonymous said...

Thanks so much for the work around. Looks like some cute stuff! LLM mentioned that she thinks the U.S. may get something like this next week. What do you think LLA?

Anonymous said...

i bought a few things! =) when i was in the US site there were 72 items posted. after a few minutes of being on the site, the item quantity went down to 70. However, many of the items on display are sold out. lets hope that this sale makes room for new items. The link and the URL LLA provided for the Canadian site did work for me. It shows that the Canadian site has 162 items on sale. =(

Anonymous said...

I was wondering too! I'm hoping it's just because there's so many pink options lately

Anonymous said...

Aww, an original size 8 black InStride could be mine if only I was Canadian. :(. (Thanks for posting the workaround, LLA, but I'm going to bed sad now bc I would have given it a good home).

So is the US going to get a similar sale?! I'd love another define!!!

@ anon 11:10 pm - According to the write up on the website this on line Warehouse Sale is for Canada only and takes the place of their normal 2014 Warehouse sale. They are non-committal about doing one for the US.

This is what was posted:

"Why is this sale for Canadian guests only? Why not for US guests?

This event is our 2014 Canadian warehouse sale. In previous years, we’ve held warehouse sales in Vancouver and Ottawa. This year, we thought we would try something new and bring the sale online to give more of our guests across Canada access to the product they need to support their sweaty pursuits.

In the US, over the past few years we’ve had warehouse sales in Long Island, Chicago and most recently in LA last fall. Be sure to check our social channels or sign up for product notifications to find out when and where the next one will pop up.
Are items purchased final sale? Can I get a price adjustment during the sale if an item I purchase is later reduced?
Yes, all warehouse sale purchases are final sale (no returns or exchanges). We are not offering price adjustments, so grab your faves while you can!
Are there limits to the number of products I can purchase, like at other warehouse sales?
You are welcome to purchase up to 25 items total (per day) from the warehouse sale.
Will you be adding more items as the sale goes on? How long is the warehouse sale on for?
What you see is what you get – all our items will be available at the start of the sale. It’s all out there! The event is on until Sunday, Jan 19th. However, once the items are gone, they’re gone, so get them while you can!
When is the next US warehouse sale, and where will it be?
We haven’t confirmed a US warehouse sale yet. Be sure to check back on our social channels and sign up for product notifications on our website. Over the past few years we’ve had them in LA (just last September), Long Island and Chicago for our US guests.

As for an online US warehouse sale, we’re just trying this idea out with our Canadian guests, and would love to know your thoughts.
Is this your first online warehouse sale? Why are you doing it online this time?
Yes, this is our first time online. We like to move our warehouse sales around to different locations to share the love, and this time we decided to try it online, to give more of our guests across Canada access to the product they need to support their sweaty pursuits."

Mehhh.. I saw nearly all of these things at the Vancouver warehouse sale last year (LOL at those ponchos that never sold...). Happy to see the defines and strides, but I passed because I wasn't crazy about the colours. Almost nothing from recent seasons! I did buy the pure mat (despite its terrible reviews) for $24 and the work it out duffel for $49. Also had a gift card so it came out to ~$34. Was really hoping to score some underwear or FTB bras, but there were none. Men's selection was awful and had no sizes left (again, all leftover stuff from last year). Bf was so disappointed, lol.

Maybe having an online sale is a good idea because it makes me really think twice about my purchases (so many things I could see myself buying on impulse).

Overall, I think the only good items were the defines, strides, turbo run shorts, and tech tights? A decent sale, but nothing to go bananas over IMO.

Already seeing the angry comments pouring in to the fb page... eek :S

Anonymous said...

I just bought the moto jacket and it was just shipped out today and now they marked it down to $89!!! Called the GEC and she said sorry it was already a final sale so pretty much to bad! How annoying!!!!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for posting the work around LLA. Was fun to have a look. I'm sure we'll get our own US warehouse sale in the near future. Simultaneous warehouse sales in both countries would definitely have been too much for the website to handle.

Anonymous said...

Well, scratch my optimistic prediction about the US seeing a similar sale in the near future. :-/

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 11:24 pm - now that I had a chance to really study the items, I wouldn't have bought anything since it's all pretty old. I like what we got for WMTM better and I ordered a pair of Feel Good pants tonight.

I totally predicted lots of angry US customers.

They should do on-line warehouse sales from now on. I attempted to go the LA one and the wait was 5 hours long so I turned around. It's much easier to shop from home.

Anonymous said...

Your link worked fine LLA I clicked on it 14 mins after you posted and now $600 later I thank you...my husband and my credit cards do not! I figured I was on a spending roll and I noticed they slipped the Chai Time in sneaky sneaky...so I grabbed one of those too. So I ordered 4 pants (scored the inkblot) and I got the milky way skirt. I know these are wild prints but I also know they sell nicely later on. I have the milky way crops and I do love them. I also noticed a gingham cool racer back in WMTM grabbed that too. I'm half asleep and will wake up with a stomach full of guilt but I always feel better once I come on here and read everyone else's comments of obsession :) Goodnight lulu world!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for all of the info re: a U.S. warehouse sale, LLA!

Anonymous said...

Happened to be up at an ungodly hour for a snack and check out the Lulu sight....despite looking at the Warehouse sale items over and over and over again, just hoping something would catch my eye, be cheap enough to take a chance on it or see an old favorite IN MY SIZE I could stock up on but no such luck....damn. Much ado about nothing!

Anonymous said...

That was a fun blast to the past! I am very pleased, I picked up the following from the warehouse sale:

Define Jacket - Black Slub/Tonka Stripe - $59
Define Jacket - Heathered Pretty Pink/Tonka Stripe - $59
Stride Jacket - Black - $59
In Stride Jacket - Black - $69
Daily Tank - White - $29
In the Flow Crop - Black - $39

Overall very happy, this warehouse sale really saved me a good amount of money. I was on a serious hunt for a new define/Stride/In Stride, and was close to paying stupid markups for used jackets online - but now I get new at a decent value!!

Anonymous said...

I dithered on these items 1 year ago and I dithered again tonight...for the same reasons. I got the speedy turtleneck, which I nearly bought at the boxing day sale in 2012. Everything else i wanted had iffy reviews.

@ 10:31 PM, in wmtm you have to click the beaver image and the "click here if you're Canadian" and it takes you to the mother lode: currently 70 tops, 42 bottoms, 26 accessories (including the Happy Hatha Hour bag,Work It Out Duffle, Everyday Gymbag each for $49), and 26 men's items.

I got the Happy Hatha bag in inkwell/black, the Run U Turn Pullover in black in Rulu w/ silver ($39), and the WU Pant in inkblot white deep indigo ($49, so awesome to get these! I regretted not buying them when they were out 2.5-3 years ago) and I can't believe I get the Happy Hatha in such an awesome, classic colour combo!

I did not stay up for the sale but happened to wake up and remember it was wmtm night and rumoured warehouse on-line sale. I REALLY do appreciate that LLL did this; it was a good move! They haven't done a warehouse sale in Toronto in a while. If they did, I would not be one standing in the insane line up to get in. I'm glad I was able to get these few things for great prices.

I could have definitely bought more. I nearly bought a 3rd Run Bundle Up Jacket (LOVE this jacket) but I already have 2, which is enough. I was sorely tempted by a few other jackets and a few other items too.

P.S. silly but I think the beaver image again saying 'hot dam!' is funny, it made me laugh. This is the humour I like from them.

Thanks again for the earlier heads up! Cheers.

This is a warehouse sale so obviously some better deals. However, Canadians often don't even get a lot when it comes to wmtm in general. USA gets more stock shipped to its warehouse (sure, makes business sense). Often great items don't sell out at full retail in the US and go to your US wmtm. Some of the very same items will sell out on the Canadian site at full price and never make it to Canadian wmtm. I check the US side on wmtm uploads and see the number of times the US customers "score" great items/deals.

I've never been to a warehouse sale and would likely not get to one either (even in Canada) so I think this was a fair and good idea by LLL. I bought a few things, it came to $150 with tax. I did not go crazy.

Anonymous said...

Chai Time II is online now. Wow, they want $128 online. I only paid $88 in store!

Anonymous said...

I'm so interested in Chai pullover. Please post sizing advice if anyone has tried this time around. I'm almost always 4 on top but I do size down to 2 for stuff like 105 or gratitude wrap. thanks in advance

Anonymous said...

Anon 11:43 PM are you located outside Canada and using the bypass link to access the Warehouse sale URL you were indeed able to buy $600? HOW?

I was able to LOOK at the items on that page, but wasn't even able to browse the different colors and sizes, much less add anything to my shopping cart. Although I am overseas, I do have a Canadian shipping address. I do however understand that, that was a third party link providing the connection and one that was not secured (the lock on the navigation bar showed unlocked to me, so wasn't going to put my payment info through it anyway)
So irritating that even with my address in Canada, I wasn't able to access the sale link directly.
The new CEO is fearful of any backlash for website crashes? But why not even let us OPEN the link to browse the sale?! Ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

This doesn't bother me too much but I really wish lulu would spend less time trying to block people from their warehouse sales, and more time working on their quality, design and supply issues.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the bypassable link info - it worked for me to see the Canadian sale from the us - just to be sad that there are many things I would have bought. :(

Anonymous said...

It's interesting that they still have this product around. Why would they indicate that it is sold out when it went to WMTM in the first place?? That doesn't make any sense.

Anyway, I used the workaround and checked it out. I would have likely picked up a few things. Being a relative Lulu newbie I saw some things I have not seen before that looked nice like the St. Moritz Jersey.

Anyway, I picked up a pair of calm and cozy sweat pants from the US WMTM along with an inkwell/blue moon stripe crb and a deep zin yeah yoga bra. Really like the pink hustle jacket but not ready to pull the trigger on it yet. Was hoping that the OYH long sleeves would have been marked down but not yet.

Anonymous said...

I am Canadian and logged on fairly early to the sale........lots of small sizes, fairly older stock.........some sought after pieces but really small size or not available. bought a few items but mostly for my 13 yr. old who is a size 2 and a competitive runner/skier. score for her.......not much in 6-8 ........ meh! could have purchased a define in light pink but that colour is for babies and toddlers so I passed!

back to bed........snore!!

Anonymous said...

Is it possible that we now crashed the bypassable.com server too?! It was working just fine earlier today but now the link is not even opening!!

What an exciting thing to wake up to! I live on the East Coast of Canada and we never get fun stuff like warehouse sales so it's nice to finally have a crack at this! Also, us Canadians are used to seeing the US get amazing deals and prices on things in general (not just lulu), so while I'm sure I'd be ticked about missing out if I was in the US, trust me, it happens to us Canadians ALL the time.

Anonymous said...

So frustrating....I'm Canadian with a Canadian credit card, billing address and shipping address but since I'm in India right now I can't see this sale! I am going thru lll withdrawal here in India...

I am almost relieved the US didn't have this sale. I'm still trying to recover from Christmas shopping and all the Lulu I bought in November and December for myself! Plus I just bought airplane tix to go to the Boston Marathon!

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the heads up! Got a few deals! For those that are crying that it is unfair.... I think the opposite. Much more accessible to the warehouse deals than limiting to local cities. As for the US - I am sure ther will be one for you too. They can't ship extra stock cross border...so they will need to clear it out somehow. IMHO....this is much better than having it in local cities.

Anonymous said...

We MUST all BOYCOTT LLL this is so discrimination! WTH would LLL do without their USA customer?? We buy the most and support thief more than any other country!! Without their USA customer they would not be in business! This is BS.
Btw I too was going to purchase a few things on WMTM then I woke up and thought no way....they've even blocked "Bypassable" from working to view products.

Anonymous said...

@Anon 10:34 pm - while I understand your frustration, I think your comment was inappropriate. Lululemon started as a Canadian company and they are having a sale in Canada, why not slap on a beaver graphic if they want to? I highly doubt their intention with this sale was to force people to move up north. There are tons of sales directed at Americans that have red white and blue, that does not offend me nor should it offend anyone else.

Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I'm glad I checked the blog this morning because I was able to pick up 2 things (a towel and a pair of shorts). Most things were only available in a size 2 and there wasn't much selection left by the morning.

Anonymous said...

Discrimination? Really? Because you can't buy LL products you feel you are being discriminated against? I am speechless..

Anonymous said...

Anyone willing to angel me a fluff pullover in black, size 4? Pretty please?

Anonymous said...

Lol what? Lulu wouldn't be in business?! They started as a Canadian company doing absolutely fine. Yes, going into the US market helped expansion and growth but even if Lulu stayed completely Canadian based, they would be just fine. Get over yourself.

Anonymous said...

@ 4:35 AM, you said it, I second it. Canadians get "gypped" all the time! We just generally suck it up and go with the flow. Not the end of the world.

How many times have I read here about warehouse sales I don't have access to? Sure I can be envious, that's human nature, but again, it's only stuff.

Anonymous said...

Hoo boy - relax!! It was a crappy sale to begin with! Let's be honest - do you REALLY think that this won't happen for the US side at some point soon?

Not every retailer is American-based. Heaven forbid a Canadian company should sell something to Canadians. Can I yell "discrimination" and "boycott" every time I see a sale that is available to Americans and not to me, if it's an American-based company? I'd be doing it DAILY.

Chill. It's just sportswear.

Anonymous said...

@ 6:22 AM, ah you make me laugh. Never gonna happen. Pantsgate and all the other blunders, there's always a call for a boycott. However, as an individual, it's your freedom to do so.

Anonymous said...

I find some of the histrionic comments kind of funny!

The stock available in canada will be different from the US, since they ship from different warehouses and don't crossborder ship (due to import taxes and fees). I can also see that, with a much smaller population than the US and very spread out, the expense of renting space and hiring/training staff for physical warehouse sales is less cost-effective in Canada. I prefer the online warehouse sale, and I'm totally fine with different US and Canada dates. We're not buying the same stock anyway, and this avoids any epic website crashes because of high traffic volume. I actually thought they did a reasonable job on this, considering how terrible their website management usually is.

There really wasn't much exciting anyway, but I ordered a few things that I had missed out on or just wasn't willing to pay the $$ for at full price last year. Two pairs of winter run pants ($49 each), a jacket, a few tanks, and a shirt for my husband. I spent ~$250, but felt I got a good deal on some really useful pieces that will get a lot of use.

Anonymous said...

Again, super PO'd to miss out. Though I'm sure my size 6 was already unavailable in most of the stuff I would have considered purchasing (Fluff off jacket, Ice Queen pant, St. Moritz sweater). The upload must have happened later MST as I usually check the site for new uploads or WMTM additions prior to going to sleep and just after 10pm MST none of this was there. Of course by 8am this morning, it's all gone. Thanks for nothing Lulu. As for the complaining offering Canada side - I also see lots of product offered US only side online too. I'm sure US will see a similar offering once they figure out what they have left over from previous years that they want to get rid of.

Anonymous said...

@ 9:02, it happened just after 2 a.m. EST. They also sent an e-mail around that time.

Anonymous said...

anon 6:32 am - I appreciate your feedback and don't get me wrong - I have no problem with the beaver, maple leaf, Canadian flag, you name it on the Canadian site promoting the sale. I just take exception to the message to "Americans" I found it to be in poor taste. I don't really understand how my comment could be considered inappropriate? I just think in this day and age - why go there? Why not just open the sale to all and leave it at that? or say, hey we are doing a Canada only sale and will have a US only sale soon. I disagree that lulu wouldn't be around without the US but it sure is a big chunk of their business and growth so why alienate good customers?

I also have to disagree with you that American companies do the same - yes Americans love their flags and their red, white and blue - no doubt! But if a company uses stars and stripes to promote a sale, that is different than having a message directed at another country that says "hey, you're missing out, maybe you should move here, hehe, oh and here's this lesser deal for you" Of course those customers are going to feel slighted. If a US co did that it would cause a major uproar and would probably make headlines - ignorant American company suggests Canadians move here...

Anyway - just my two cents - and yes anon 7:48 am it is just sportswear but you are reading and commenting on a blog called luluaddict so I have a feeling you're into it too - it's just sportswear and these are first world problems but this is the forum for it and thanks to LLA for keeping it going!

Anonymous said...

I think you need to remember lululemon is a CANADIAN brand, obviously they are going to accomodate to us canadians first! Typical americans, so greedy

Anonymous said...

These are first world problems when one lives in the lululemon world ;-)

Anonymous said...

anon 7:48 here :) Yep - I've been drinking the lulu koolaid since I first set foot in the store on 4th Avenue over a decade ago. I enjoy this blog, because I enjoy the clothes, and it saves me TONS of shopping time (thanks LLA!!)!

But in all this time, I can't say that I have gotten bent out of shape over missing a sale or an item of clothing. There's always another "must-have" in the next upload. Part of the lure, dang it!

Anonymous said...

The Canadian sale was a complete joke. The one thing I was able to order was cancelled with no explanation and a namaste greeting. Like seriously? They need to find out a better way to fulfill orders. When I called to ask why I wasn't getting my jacket they told me when the person when to pick the item that the shelf was empty. I'll take my business elsewhere.
