EU Heads Up

Thanks to the reader who pointed out the new items on the EU side of the website - new parallel stripe Still Pants (I kind of like these) and an Apex Stripe Pink Zing Scoop Neck tank (like this one, too).

Those look like the pants that cooks wear in some kitchens...like cafeterias and cruise ships.

haha, fugly circus pants. Why does this model always look pissed? Smile!

I have to agree with anon@6:44. The still pants do look like the pants that cooks wear in some kitchens. Also, my hubby has a pair of pajama pants which look very similar.

I don't find any of the new and upcoming items or colors exciting.

On the plus side my wallet will likely be safe for the next while!

If I had to wear those pants I'd look pissed too! Totally kitchen pants for chefs.

Expensive pajama pants no?

They look like pj's! But I'd probably still end up trying them on. I'm actually glad there hasn't been too many items that have caught my eye in the latest uploads...my wallet needed a break! I did try on a couple items yesterday that I had been wondering what all the hype was about...the Open Your Heart sweats and the Bust a move jacket. both were not at all flattering on me. I actually laughed when the jacket was on cus I looked like a stiff box. I ended up getting the Bhakti yoga jacket in black and the Free to be wild bra also black. I'm very happy with my purchases :)

Love the pants!!! Of course, I love it when lulu steps outside of the box and does something different. Very appealing.

I thought the same thing! Chef pants!

I agree with the kitchen/cook pants comment. Those pants look like uniform pants.
Also...I have to agree with Anon 7:19 a.m.---My wallet is safe from purchases for a while if this is what we're getting. Fresh Teal isn't so fresh anymore...been done LAST YEAR. No cruise ship cook pants for me either. I'm not a pink person.
Ok by me...I need to recover from Christmas spending.
I don't see a lot of functional creativity in the designs at the moment. If they go more in a creative direction, the clothes tend not to work for physical activity (unsupportive, revealing etc.). Strike a balance.

Wow, those pants are the worst! They are baggy, saggy and remind me of evil robber barons with waistcoats, pocket watches, monocles and spats!

those pants are pretty bad. they look like mariachi pants too.

LOL, I wouldn't be able to pull those off.. the bagginess paired with the verticle stripes, just a little clowny to me.
I ordered the surge yoga mat, but the picture was the black one. I'm crossing my fingers I DON"T get the black, but the description did say coal. This was after it disappeared & reappeared a few days ago.

Clowns will pair the pants with big red shoes. Chefs will pair the pants with orange crocs.

Loving the new scoop neck color. Normally I don't do stripes, but I wear so much pink, I think the stripe will be a nice contrast.

Wait, one side is striped and the other solid? Hmmm....I dunno. I'd have to try on to see if that helps the stripe "problem" or is slimming. I think it could either way depending on where you carry your weight.

I know this is a Lulu fan site, but for what it's worth I've been mixing my Lulu crops and skirts with Athleta tanks lately (getting tired of CRBs and various scoops) and just bought several Empowerment tanks on sale ($24). The purple herringbone was full price but I've been living in it! Also tried their Jaya Tank II. It's got this twist in front that I thought would expose too much, but doesn't. Neither are designed for running, but I sized down (S for my 140#. 34c frame) and love running in them! (Not the herringbone...it's too hot for running, but perfect for Pilates and body flow).

Well all you haters will be pleased to know the still pants are destined straight to markdown. Saw them today on the sales rack for $59 at my Saskatchewan store. Colour code PSWW/BLK.

Total professional kitchen pants!
I'd say I can't believe these got a green light, but I can believe it. LLL designers are really out of touch.

I agree the recent (since Xmas) colours/designs (pastels with color blocking, etc) are extremely unappealing. It is too bad Lulu doesn't mix more of the colour schemes throughout the year so there is a varied selection across the globe. Why do we have to have mostly pastels in January?? It is definitely not spring in Canada.....

I thought EU actually stood for EWWWW. Yuck!

The parallel striped stills were in my store's sale section already, what's up with that? Unless they are a different pattern, although they look identical...

I'm lol'ing at all the comments on this post. Seriously, you ladies crack me up, especially the person who keeps adding hashtags to "dat."

On a serious note, what gives with all the crap lately? The last 2-3 post holiday periods have been a nightmare for me spending-wise with all the super cute stuff. Two years ago my giftcards lasted all of one week before I broke down and bought a ton of awesome gear. Not feeling any intention to buy now, but I guess that's a good thing.

@ aon 5:37 pm - Yeah, I am not a major pastels fan. I wish the palette wasn't so schizo. I can get behind the zing pink/baroque palette but the mint/lavender is messing me up. And where is the Guava Lava stuff??!?!

Anonymous said...

Yes please if anyone knows anything about when we will get more guava lava please please let us know!!! I have been waiting for a color like that for a few years, then it finally came but it was just a tease!
