That picture looks like she's just escaped from prison lol that's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw it!

Yeah, there is a very subtle difference from a nautical navy stripe and a jail-breaking/sports referee black and white stripe. Not sure I want this look. :(

Any angels out there willing to ship a pair of coco pique wunder under pants in size 8 to Ontario? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them to be uploaded tonight, but if not would really appreciate it if someone would help me out. I don't want to pay twice the price on ebay! jennifer.m.oke "at" gmail.com Thanks :)

OT question
Can I return a paypal purchase to a store? I've heard that some stores are difficult about paypal returns. My packing slip doesn't even state the method of payment. Do I need to print out my paypal receipt? I hate it when they make a stink about returns.

I'm in Toronto, and I'm returning an inkwell GW sz 6. Hopefully they'll have no trouble selling it!

McDonalds burglar!!! Lol!!! She just needs a hat!

Yeah, same here - I don't think there's any way to do wide black/white stripes without looking jail-like.

Oh, do I dream of the day the turn around LS's come back!

Hi LLA as promised, in an earlier post, here is my fit review of the shopping I did for black Friday event. I am 5’ 5” tall, around 130lbs, 34C, Size 6. I live in Jacksonville, FL. It is around 82 degrees today. Saturday was in the 80s and Sundays was in the 70s (sorry fellow readers in the North). So perfect weekend to try on my new athletic wear. Deliveries came in on Thursday and Friday, which included Lulu’s GW in Purple, Rasp Aria Tank, PC Pullover, PP Inspire, Yogasmoga Ballerina Legging in Carbon 6 mossaic, Yantra Tank in Jodhpur blue, RJP Corp in Spanish Grey, Yantra Tank in Spanish Grey, Yogasmoga Twistie Tank in Boy Blue. I ended up promising my husband I won’t shop for myself for Christmas. That promise I am sure will not be kept (lol).
Okay first off the lulu GW in puple. I love it. I don’t think I will be using the strings at the bottom, without them tied, it gives me a very nice flowy look . I really like the Raspberry color and the deep back is perfect for the weather here in Jax. The deep front on the other hand not so much. I don’t mind showing a little cleavage but this is basically turning into a show-n-tell session, therefore it is going back (very sad). Lulu PC Pullover – it is going back; It looked so much better in the pics and looks absolutely ridiculous in person. Lulu Paris Perfection Inspire is very nice, I love the color combo, the fit and the feel are all very nice but I think it is the color combination that is winning me over. My concern is that I’ve been reading all over the internet and in comments in this blog that Paris Perfection is bleeding. Got scared of that so haven’t washed it yet, therefore haven’t used it except for trying it on. LLA, I will wait till you advise if it is bleeding or not.
Before I go into details, Yogasmoga Spanish Grey and Jodhpur Blue are MUST HAVE colors for every wardrobe.
On Saturday I went for my Hot power yoga class in yogasmoga Ballerina Legging and the yogasmoga Tantra top. I am in love with the leggings. They were perfect the whole class, the wicking on this fabric is amazing. Studio keeps the temps close to 100 and I could feel that I was sweating but hardly ever felt the sweat itself. The Ballerina Legging is perfectly form fitting or should I say form enhancing as the yogasmoga designers have really hit the mark with designing to enhance the touché. It is almost like getting a lift without wearing the high heels. The compression in legs was great and they made me feel a lot taller than I actually am. The fabric of the Ballerina leggings is definitely softer than the Slimmie pants. They are opaque, not shiny and very comfortable leggings. The Yantra top did not move out of place and I didn’t have to break my asana to pull it back down or anything. It was perfect. I’ve already mentioned that Jodhpur Blue color is out of this world.
For Saturday evening I wore my yogasmoga RJP crop in Spanish Grey (it is a little darker than it appears in the pictures) with yogasmoga twisty tank in Boy Blue. We went out for drinks by the beach and they are the most comfortable clothes that I’ve been in for a very long time. The colors are great. The Spanish Grey and Boy blue are both so pleasing and relaxing to the eyes. I found the fabric soft and the fit very form fitting. The RJP crop had great compression except at the knees where they are a little, let just say more comfortable compared to how they fit the thighs. I hope it won’t stretch out too much, a little bit will be fine. LLA do you have any experience with this? The cut of the twistie tank was perfect around the arms, very breathable fit, it didn’t ride up when I got up or sat down, I didn’t have to pull it down. The only problem was the hair of my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, on my RJP. A vigorous leg shaking removed those too.
On Sunday I wore my Ballerina Leggings and the Yantra in Spanish Grey. I worked perfectly for a 2 mile run. The wicking was incredible, the fitting was incredible, the top did not move and the fabric feld so nice and soft for a technical fabric.

I bought the parallel stripe Base Runner LS and although it was a thinner rulu, it wasn't like the green and blue striped one that came out earlier. Also saw the new pullover and another reader said it was like the run pullovers from ago and they just didn't feel that way to me. The fleece felt cheap and thin and the band at the bottom lacked elasticity like the DHBH.

Enough of the friggin stripes already!! Move on to something else....black & white wow so ORIGINAL!! They need a new design team someone with STYLE and a fashion sense who's been in the design industry and gets it!

This might not be a popular post but, I was at target today and checked out their workout gear. They have really stepped up their style. I saw some really cute pullovers with ruching on them and some 1/4 zip pullovers that really had some style to them. They have a surge like color scheme as well as some dark purple stuff. I brought home a pair of purple legging style pants and was surprised at the coverage and fit. The pants were 39.99, not a real low bargain price but not too bad.

Oh my gosh, got my ruffled speed shorts, and they are adorable! They are 2 way stretch, and they fit TTS (size 4 for me, 5', 103#) I can't wait til it gets warm enough to wear them! (Haven't been able to wear my Deep Zin plaid ones yet either, it's so ding dang cold here!)

I told myself after buying the inkwell BB print ones, I couldn't buy any more shorts this year--and I've already bought 2 more pairs in 2 subsequent uploads. OK, I really need to be done now and maybe just focus on getting some winter stuff, lol! I'm a sucker for Speed shorts and any cute, new skirt that isn't a pacesetter (because I already have too many of those too!)

Lulu is going to be the death of my checkbook!

Received my YS order today and all I can say is LOVE!! I ordered a bunch of their stuff last spring but these new pieces are so much softer and the fit is spot on! I am wearing my ballerina leggings in carbon w/ mosaic grey with a matching mosaic grey twistie tank. So soft yet still feels nice and thick! Did not wear much of my 1st YS batch but this new batch is just awesome. TTS as well. Also ordered tippy toe legging in carbon / tickled pink with a matching carbon / tickled yantra tank!

The mosaic grey is gorgeous and a basic colour everyone should have in their w/o collection. Tickled pink is a nice Paris pinky kinda colour. Will definitely order more pieces/colours. No bum showing and nice compression. Like I said I am in love with their new stuff.

Omg 12:52 PM where do you keep all of your clothes!

Ugh - enough with the YogaSmoga posts - seriously!!!! It's so easy to tell it's fake. Really, really turning me off from the brand.

Anonymous said...

Who can spot the YogaSmoga mole????

Anonymous said...

Anon @11:50 - No issue returning to the store if you purchased with Paypal. I do it ALL the time ... paypal is the only way I pay. Just give them your credit or bank card and they credit it directly back to that, not to paypal.

@ anon 12:52 pm - you must have world class legs to pull off Spanish Gray YS bottoms - they were extremely revealing on me and I had my husband check. As I was on my run yesterday I was thinking up category names for the various levels of opacity of the new YS pant colors for a followup post I am going to do.

The worst offenders were the Seattle Mist (pale lavender) and Spanish Gray (light silver). Those I am going to put under the heading of "Prima Ballerina/Full Brazilian" because you cannot even wear nude panties under them without being seen. You need to wear a thong and/or have good wax job. Being an exhibitionist wouldn't hurt, either. Some of the colors are fine (black, boy blue, violet, and midnight blue) but the rest will have issues for some or all women.

My husband laughed when I showed him this and the fact that ANYBODY thinks I am a mole for YS! Whatever!! I am simply giving feedback on a few of their new pieces. Buy it......don't buy it.......don't give a shit! Like I have said before I also wear many other brands (Nike, Sweaty Betty, Athleta, Under Armour to name a few). I am providing additional feedback for all the blog followers who are interested in YS........period!!

@ anon 6:30 pm - all posts about YS are a little suspect these days since they were spamming the comments about their products. Glad you like everything you got.

I went to Target last week on a hunt for some black pants to wear for climbing (so they might get shredded on the holds and don't want to risk a pair of Lulus). And I literally tried on everything there under $35 and only found one pair not sheer! And they had some ridiculous gray legwarmer things on the bottom so I didn't get them. My climbing partner wears a pair of Target pants from last year and they are not sheer at all. Everything is inconsistent. Also went to Nordstroms and found nice Zella leggings (totally opaque) but don't want to wreck them either. Any other suggestions for cheap workout gear? I tried Gap and old navy and their stuff does not fit me well...i have super long chicken legs.

Hi LLA - 12:52 PM here - I am so surprised. I really don't get it. For over two years I have agreed with everything you've ever written and I've hung onto your word and advise but this time the two of us are at opposite extremes. I love the yogasmoga Spanish Grey. I didn't think it was sheer at all as a matter of fact got a couple of compliments in the yoga class on the color. So what I will do is email you a picture of myself in the pants and you can tell me if you still think the same. My name is Carla, I live in Jacksonville, FL. Please look for my email and I am a huge fan of yours.

*groan* I'm waiting for my Jodhpur blue RJP crops to arrive and now holding my breath for your offender level rating. TIA. - SG girl

LuluAddict said...

@ Carla - they could work on you but they didn't on me. I think the color is pretty but it was revealing on me.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 8:50 pm - the jodhpur were ok but I think you need to wear nude color underwear underneath. I could see a shadow of my underwear under them. If you have cellulite or dimples on the backs of your legs you might not be happy with the coverage compared to a darker color. They are super soft, though.

Thanks LLA! Will keep that in mind. - anon 850
