Universal Stripe Base Runner LS and More

The Universal Stripe Base Runner LS. I tried this on this morning and really liked it, the rulu was nice and thick. You'll want to cherry pick the stripe placement, if you can.

Open Your Heart Pants.

New wee stripe Hi Low Wunder Under Pants and Inner Calm LS.

More Wunder Under Crop in the Parallel Stripe. I hustled my rear down to the store this morning to get a pair. I got there within half an hour of opening and an ed told me they had already sold 15 pairs of them. From what I can tell no US stores got the crops in a ten- does anyone know why this is? I ended up getting an eight and they will become goal crops for me, unless the ten comes in later and I will exchange them. The fit reports of these were true - they are nicely soft, opaque and run on the large side. You can size down in them.

Are there any more curvy, muscular-legged gals out there that have tried on the parallel WUC. I'm curious to see how they look on that body type (as it's mine, too! :)

So excited, I bought a pair of the parallel stripe crops online around noon today. They briefly had size 2 and 4 available. Now I don't have to stalk the store every day and can focus on finishing my Christmas stuff.

In the Pholadelphia area we have 4 Lululemon stores and I visited two today. One store didn't have any left and the other only had one pair left in a 6. They did not get many in. Additionally, a GE told me that when they got the brisk bloom wu in, they only got one per size! I get limited quantity is the best marketing tool!

I was able to snag a pair of the PS WUC at my local store this morning, Santana Row. I didn't pay attention to what sizes they stocked and if it went above an 8 or not. I love the feel of the fabric and they look good on, although I can't help but feel like a monarch butterfly caterpillar, LOL! (The pants are just missing the touches of yellow)

The Ed noticed that these crops tend to run a little bit longer in length and I would agree with her. I'm not sure if it is due to the stretchy nature of the fabric, or if they are just cut longer than most WUCs.

The store had the Universal Stripe Base Runner LS as well. I quickly touched the top, but didn't find the rulu particularly nice or soft.

FYI LLA, I called South Coast Plaza this afternoon & they still have size 12's. unfortunately all other sizes sold out. Maybe you can try the bigger size if 8 doesn't work well.

OT, but for those who miss the Savasana Wrap, Beyond Yoga has come out with something relatively similar...although a little pricier. Just FYI.

@ anon 2:46 pm - I'm 99.9% sure the crops are not coming in a 12 but I will take a look for them.

Does anyone know if the universal stripe base runner LS fit the same as the pique? I thought the pique was really tight. I am wondering if I should go with the bigger of my 2 sizes (4 and 6). TIA!

I'm nervous my ps WUCs will be too big! I get them tomorrow. I am a 4 in all bottoms and ordered a 4... But peoples reports make me think they will be too big? Should I be concerned, for people who have tried them on?

Anonymous said...

Is it only the PS WUC that is running large, or is it the PS WUP as well? I ordered my usual size 4 in the WUP, but I'm really between a size 2 and 4. I usually order 4s to ensure that there's no sheerness. Do you think I should be concerned?

@2:07pm I consider myself curvy and have pretty muscular thighs from running. I tried and bought the run day parallel stripe crops. They are really flattering. I wasn't expecting them to be that cute, I almost went and tried the wonder unders too but I run more than I do yoga

What is the vinyasa scarf with the open your heart pant photo? Looks like a new colour?

WTH! I just tried on the PS crop and I found them sheer in a squat. I sized up and it formed weird loose wrinkles under my butt cheeks that were especially prominent with the stripes. How are people sizing down?? I did NOT find them thick. On a positive note, I received the brisk bloom speeds and they fit like they were made for me.

I think there is a reason why they aren't making them bigger than a size 8.

@OT do you think lululemon will have anything on sale online for boxing day? I'm not close to a store and wondering whether or not I should plan to make the drive or if there will be some items online in wmtm for boxing day. Thanks!

I tried them on and I tried on the paralell stripe runday crop. I just felt that being muscular , they tended to look a little unflattering. So much wide white stripes didn't look great on me (as a point of reference, I wear a 6). Even the two GE I spoke with agreed. I hope that helps. I did buy them though

Does anyone know if that isa vinyasa scarf shown and what color it is? I haven't seen that one yet ! Maybe it's new. Our just one from the past

I heard something about the 8s/10s being "sheer" compared to the smaller sizes...

Not sure if this is true or not...

Also Bomber Blue is coming to the ladies side (currently on mens)

Does anyone know if the Macro-Micro stripe WU are sheer? I really like them, but I am wondering about sheerness.
Thanks!

@ anon 5:06 pm - the crops went to a 10 in Australia and to a 10 in the pant on line in the US so I think there was a production problem. I can't recall when a Wunder Under did not go to a 10. 12s in prints or lighter colors are routinely excluded, though less these days than in the past.

I have muscular (oly weightlifting) quads and butt. I purchased the black/white stripe wuc today. But honestly I'm not 100% sure. I *think* I like them, but I may be influenced by how popular they seem on this website! I wish there was a place I could post a photo and get honest (hopefully not too harsh) feedback. :)

@ JenO 5:09 PM, there is normally a large upload to wmtm on Boxing Day. Sometimes stores have better deals (not on all items though) for certain items, maybe $5-$10 less. I think it's the whole "discretion of the store" thing, which is dumb.

@ anon 6:22, the macro-micro stripe WUs are not sheer at all - got them today and they are great. fit TTS - the person who was wondering about the PS WUC in size 4, if you wear a true size 4 i think they will be too big for you - when they are too big is when they form that strange wrinkle at the butt area - in my opinion.

The Vinyasa Scarf is the new color Wee Stripe Black/Black

anon @ 4:56, I have the exact same feeling regarding the sheerness but still took a size down because the pattern masks the sheerness. if I let the white tag hang down you see it plenty but otherwise can't make out skin. with my regular size it was the same as with you, extra fabric that in a black WUC would make zero difference but with these stripes looks very weird.

PS nothing in Canada at this point. The Lulu "educators" here had no idea what I was talking about - stating the only stripes in crops were found on the waistband. Sigh. Probably get here in a week or so (seems to be the norm).

Oh my gosh, Fed Ex just left me the Brisk Bloom Black In A Flash skirt I ordered Monday night. I can't believe how stinking cute it is! I had really wanted the PP solid skirt, but didn't order it right away, and it was gone by the time I woke up the next morning. I reluctantly ordered the BB print and was worried it would make my butt look big because of the printed tier coming straight across my rear contrasting with the black underskirt. It doesn't. The material is soft and silky. There is a hidden key pocket inside one of the outer slant pockets. The shorts of the skirt are the parallel stripe print not sheer, provide good compression, have the sticky grippers, and the pockets in the legs are deeper than the one on my other Lulu skirts with leg pockets. I think the legs of the shorts are a tad longer than the pacesetter's. I am so glad I ordered this skirt! It is TTS, (I wore my normal size 4 I wear in all my Lulu skirts except for Run Pace, where I wear a size 2). Plus I got the special Holiday bag with my order. I am a happy, happy camper! I can't say enough good about this skirt. The only minus for me is not having the zippered back pocket, but that is not a deal breaker for me now that I have my handy, dandy RooSport magnetic pocket. Now all I need is some warmer weather to run in so I can wear it!

LLA I know you love the run for your life crops. I just got a pair downunder in this weeks release in the macro/micro stripe. I would have walked past them on the rack BUT had to wear them for a photo shoot and they went home with me. Thick, buttery, supportive, slimming and soooo comfy. Who would have thought!!:)

I was in a store today and tried on macro black and gray wider stripes and they were partially sheer in my larger size, a 6. I had on black underwar, the mula style which i usually wear under leggings without issue. The parallel stripes in wup in 4s were not sheer at all, so I left with those even tho i did not expect to - thought i'd like the more subtle, wider pattern but didnt. I am often between a 4 and 6 in WUs. There might be different batches tho bc i think Insightful Athlete blog posted she bought the macro and were opaque? Best of luck, vanessa

Is there going to be an upload tonight ? Nothing so far...

Anonymous said...

No upload tonight?

I'm not sure how people are sizing down in the parallel WUCs....I bought my size down, which is a size 2, and they're considerably smaller than any of my size 4 WUCs.

LLA- I have both the crops and the pants in a 10. I just had to go check to be sure that I really did get a 10, and I did. And I'm in the states. Maybe it was just a really limited run in the size 10? My store told me it was the only size 10 they received, I was waiting like a vulture as they unpacked the box...

LuluAddict said...

@ Mel - that's interesting. Maybe my stores will get some 10s in later. I know they often have gotten size runs through the 8 and then the 10s and 12s show up a day or two later. I'll have to check back.

@ 3:28 p - I'm a 4 in all lulu bottoms with minor exceptions (shake and break shorts - size 2 and fast track shorts from this summer size 6) and I bought size 4 in the PS WUC. They felt a bit more stretchy than my other WUCs but I would not size down because I would feel like a sausage. :) My stats for reference are 5'4" and 115 lbs, lean, petite and a little bit of booty. Hope that helps!

Also @ 6:50 I'm in the same boat - not sure I love these crops on me mostly for the dizzying effect but feel like I bought them because of all the hype but haven't taken the tags off yet! They do seem to hide the small bit of cellulite I have.

No WMTM upload because from what heard they are holding off until Boxing Day. I visited my area stores yesterday to checkout the new products an All Stores have removed the Sale Racks. When I asked where the sale stuff was they all acted clueless. Have the EDS become robots now? They all seem to say the same things no matter what store I go to!

Any Lulu leggings in stripes turn me off. Makes me think of the Wicked Witch of the East(circa 1939 Wizard of Oz)!!

Saw these in wup at the Oakville Ontario store today. No wuc in ps yet though.

I picked up a pair of parallel stripe crops today and they fit pretty TTS for me. Not sure why people would size a whole size down. They are the tiniest bit more forgiving than the regular black ones, but not enough to size down for me. I wear a 4 in everything and stuck with a 4 here.

Anonymous said...

@anon 3:36pm.
It's reassuring to hear you stuck with a sz. 4. We share the same exact stats, and I stuck with my tts 4. They are super stretchy, but I felt like sausage in the 2:)
