Runday Crop Performance Review

Paired with a black Mod Waves Cool Racerback

I took the tags off my new Runday crops for a six mile run yesterday and I was very happy with them. They have to be among the most comfortable run crops I've bought. The luxtreme is thick, opaque, and compressive all the way down.  The waistband is a little bit higher than Inspires, wide and very supportive. Since the weather was hot (I think it got into the upper 70s during my run) I unzipped the calf zippers and I could feel the breeze through the mesh as I ran. The back pocket is nicely roomy and my iPhone easily fit in it. I also had a couple gels and my car keys in the front pockets and they didn't bother me at all. The length is definitely on the long side, these are 1.5" longer than Inspires so they end up close to my ankles. All in all, a great run crop. I liked them so much after my run I went to the store and picked up a pair for my sister as her Christmas present. As for sizing I found the parallel black stripe ones to run a bit larger and could wear my size down for a more compressive feel without worrying about sheerness.

LLA - are these TTS - do you wear the same size in your Inspire crops? Tks!

For those who enjoy talking about other people's shape and the clothes (size) they wear.

hi LLA - if there are no more deep zinfandel / black wunder unders on the US/CA site does that mean they will no longer come back online?

..and now the regret for not buying them on upload sets it... :(

LLA - I'm 27 weeks pregnant and am finding that my Inspires and Run: For Your Life Crops are hitting me too low and are not providing enough support for my stomach during my runs. I keep trying to hike them up, but then then create an uncomfortable CT issue, which is also no good during a run. I know you are obviously not pregnant, but based on wearing the crops, do you think they are high enough in the waist that they would provide a better level of stomach support without slipping down? Thanks for any insight you might have!

OT-- I just received the ls swiftly in angel blue and it's horrible. I ordered a size 8 and it is shorter then the three size 6 swiftly's I already own. The material is also much thinner. It's too bad, the color is beautiful, but it's too short. I'll learn to stop buying lulu some day. It's just one disappointment after another lately.

@11:08 I went to my local running store and I bought a band to run in when I was pregnant. Kinda reminded me of the support bands that professional movers wear. It was awesome! I'd maybe look for one of those?

What would you say the sizing is for the runday compared to the run for your
Iife or speed tights?

Lulu Addict - that outfit looks great on you!

OT - Has anyone tried shrinking your 105F singlet? I have a couple of the new ones that I bought a size down, and the the front and arm holes are even lower than the 105F singlet from earlier this year. I have one in raspberry glow that I think must have shrunk when I washed it, b/c now it fits perfectly. I also have one in plum that I barely wear because the arm holes look really stretched out b/c they are so long. With the new ones I'm wondering if they could possibly shrink... either I'll try that or just return them, which is where I'm leaning...

Im finding that a leotard/unitard or one piece swimsuit, with lower-rise bottoms is much more comfortable for pregnant running... As long as i plan my hydration carefully. I have the tech fleece speed tights which go up to my belly button (I'm 23 weeks and that is pretty much where i start to pop out) and they were great for weeks 20-22 but now they slip down and dig in painfully during longer runs.
A good friend ran until her due date and she wore looser luon bottoms with a maternity support band in her third trimester.

I would recommend getting a pregnancy support belt. I ran until 35 and 34 weeks with one. I also thought the Will pants were more comfortable with the foldover waist.

I went today to try the striped Runday crops. I was actually hoping they would not work out. I need to save money, not spend. I thought they were slightly sheer when I bent over. But this would not have been a problem because I would have only used them for running and spinning. I also felt they were unflattering to my body type. I am a size 8 with a bigger behind. These crops did NO favors. I kept thinking what would all the people in my gym think?!? I'm coming to terms with the fact that I can only wear black or dark colored solid bottoms. But it's ok. I look as it as my way of saving my money.

You look awesome!! These are super flattering on you. Makes me want a pair of my very own. I'm going to try to snag a pair of the WUC since my size is already sold out in the run days.

OT - I got my urbanite pants today and they are awesome. The technical fabric is so smooth and slimming. I can't wait to wear them!

Were the striped Run Day crops already loaded to the Canadian site??? I don't recall seeing them; they must have sold out quickly if they were. I hope not because I was waiting for them :(

@Anonymous 10:56 I saw the DZ/Blk reversible on my store today. What size are you cause I am going back tomorrow to return something. I can angel for you

@ 11:20am that is exactly what I was thinking when I saw it in the store today. The New Swiftly is super thin and small it looked like a child size!

They sold out by the morning after upload if I remember correctly.

I LOVE my runday crops! They weren't on my radar at all due to the zippers, but I was lucky enough to product test them for a store in a marathon - and was pleasantly surprised. The compression is great - I ended up sizing down from my usual luxtreme size. They're thicker than Inspires - about the thickness of the Bright at Nights that I have. And the zipper didn't flap during the race at all! I'm just bummed I didn't jump on other color ways sooner.

I am thinking of getting the runday crops. they still have a lot of the striped ones at my local shop Union Square NYC. I took a second look at them last night and I really like the way they are made.
