Paris Perfection Tame Me Tank and More

Paris Perfection Tame Me Tank and Runday crop. Also shown are Hot Cheeks shorts. I've owned a couple of Tame Me and they are nice for run for any other sweaty activity. They are particularly good for women who are bustier and who like to choose their own level of support.

The Iconic Wrap has been showning up in stores. I'm not sure if these are new or older stock.

I have two iconic wraps from this summer (July?) and they do not have a hood like the one in the picture does.

FYI!!!! I missed out on the
Gratitude Wrap when it came out on the Canadian site this time because they sold out so incredibly fast. When I checked the site this morning there were Gratitude Wraps in every color available in lots of sizes under Long sleeved tops on the site!! Woohooo!!!! I got one in size 4 in Heathered Inkwell color! I usually wear a 6 but was told that these run big :-) So any others out there who missed out on this the first time round - check it out!!!

OT - news just reported that a property was purchased by LLL recently and they will be opening a retribution center near rickenbacher AFB in Ohio next year. Bringing jobs to the area. I hope this means a warehouse sale someday in the future!!

OT - I need some advice on YogaSmoga Run Jump N Play crops. Like several of you I ordered the grey cavier and they are sheer. I am willing to pay shipping both ways to return and get a new pair so I'm not out $ and stuck with crops that are unwearable. I'm considering midnight blue as an alternative and would love feedback from anyone who has them and whether they are opaque or sheer. Otherwise I will order solid black. Thanks ladies. And sorry for all the folks that are tired of YS talk.

I went to the store yesterday and tried a bunch of stuff on. The 105 singlets are running bigger than the last batch (I had bought a size 2 in plum earlier in the fall, and it was roomy). The new ones are even longer and bigger--the neck hole came down to past the middle of my boobs and the back came inches below my waist, so significantly bigger! I really wanted a surge or raspberry one too.

I tried on the Fleet Street Pullover last night in my local store. I wanted to love it; I really did. I think that all the JCrew ads with girls in pencil skirts, button-downs, and sweatshirts are super cute. But the JCrew sweatshirts look ridiculous on me, so I was hoping this would work. I tried a 4, my usual pullover/sweater/non-built-in-bra size. I could barely get it over my head because there was no give. Once it, I looked like I was wearing a very large potato sack. Oh well.

On the plus side, I MUST get those stripe runday crops. I liked photos and then I tried on the solid black ones. Opaque, adorable, good fit...now, to find the striped ones!

@ anon 4:31 am - The midnight blue are fine, opacity wise. The fabric is not nearly as soft feeling as the caviar gray, which I think felt extra soft and stretchy compared to the black and seattle blue to me.

@ 4:31 AM - I prefer the India blue in yogasmoga. It is a very beautiful color and completely opaque.

FYI Surge Pique Neck Warmers were restocked earlier today. I re-ordered it, hoping this time I do get the real Surge color and not another white pique!

@ anon 12:47am The iconic wrap from the summer has a super large neck that can be pulled over your head to wear as a hood. Saw a bunch of these in store (Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke, ON. They also had a ton of gratitude wraps in stock too).

So I made the (long) drive to a lulu store this morning to exchange my power purple scuba from the summer (stretched out at the bottom and stuck out where the zipper does up) along with my winter orchid calm and cozy ordered online. The GEC were very helpful and I had no problem exchanging both items even though they were worn/no tags.

For anyone considering the calm and cozy, I found it to be just okay in my TTS 6, but at the store I tried the 4 and it is definitely a size down item. The smaller size eliminates the bulk/bunching at the front and allows the zipper to lie flat. I ended up getting the brisk bloom, surprisingly, because I thought it was too strong a pattern in black and white from online pictures, but it is super flattering on, imo. I think the black side panels and bottom black panel help subdue the pattern enough that it makes it classy. Didn't like the pattern on the scuba though, especially because the logo on the front was all white, which makes it stand out more. Also got the calm and cozy in inkwell, shocker for me because I'm usually not a navy person! But I have a couple pique wu and herringbone wu and the heathered inkwell looks so great with them! So if anyone has been on the fence about the calm and cozy, my advice is size down and you will love! It's nice to have a cozy sweater that doesn't have a bulky hood under my winter coat.

Also tried on the brisk bloom black soot wunder under pant and they were sheer in a 6. Not super sheer like previous batches of luon, but could still kinda see the rip tag. The pattern kind of camouflages the sheerness, but probably not worth the $. I'm kinda in between sizes in wup though, pique I bought 8, deep zin reversible I bought 6. They didn't have any 8's left to try, so can't say if sizing up would have made them less sheer.

Picked up the CRB in bleached coral as well, so much prettier in person! I'm not usually a pink person either, but I guess this trip expanded my wardrobe into new colour territory. I guess that is my excuse for allowing myself to buy more LLL even though I said I was done until after Christmas!

Anyway, sorry for the long comment, just hope I can help someone else out with my reviews.

@ anon 9:5 am - I agree India Blue is nice, too, but it's kind of bright. When I wore them I felt kind of like superman in them and I know I got some side looks at my gym.

@JenO - thanks for the comments. I was considering some of the same items and am not near a store so it is very helpful.

Also, does anyone else find themselves wanting to say brisk "broom" instead of bloom? Then I get this image of cleaning the kitchen floor in my head. Sometimes I just crack myself up.

FYI surge neck warmers are online on the Canadian site as of 1:40 pm EST, I know some of you were looking for these!

What stores are getting in the brisk bloom WUPs? Were they in the PNs? Any east coast? Are we thinking since they're popping up in some stores, that by next week they should be online/in all stores? Thanks for any info!

LuluAddict said...

Brisk Bloom WUPS are in stores throughout the US and Canada now. Hopefully they will be uploaded next week.

Ugh except my store in Florida! :( we never get anything new quickly. Thanks for the info, LLA! Have you tried them on yet?

Gah, I missed out on the gratitude wrap (due to a technical error by LLL on my order) and the surge neck warmer. Hopefully, they will restock the US side too on these.

The base runner half zip is excellent in cold weather. I ran in my surge one last night and it was in the low 20's with wind. Did 6 miles and didn't feel sticky cold and clammy. I think I will get the striped one. the top also looks great on me and I am loving the surge color.

I also ordered a pair of the Yogasmoga run jump and play crops in caviar grey and they are less compressive and more sheer than the carbon black ones for sure. I have two pairs of carbon black and they are both opaque. I do find that the caviar grey ones stay up nicely even though they have little in the way of compression so I will wear them running or to hot yoga (most likely wihtout underwear since they are slightly sheer - not scandelously so but would def be vpl and color of underwear would be evident)

To follow up on JenO's comment on the soot brisk bloom WUPs, I'm also in between a 6 & 8 in WUPs. I tried on the 8 today and they were very sheer, so I didn't even attempt the size 6.

Would someone be interested in angeling me an iconic wrap in the oatmeal or light grey color (size 6)?

I missed the iconic wrap this summer and have been wanting one ever since. I have 4 local stores and have angeled for others, but I cannot seem to find this for myself.

If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it!

I went up a size in the brisk bloom wup. There was only 1 size 8 left, but there is a big bloom on my behind. I'll have to think if it's a bit too obvious. Bloom placement is key.

@LLa just got back from my local store... Thought I'd pop in just to double check they didn't have the brisk bloom WUPs since it wasn't on the PN and I asked earlier in the week and they didn't know what I was talking about... Well they had only one left and in my size!! One of the eds had some on and said she came early to work just to snag them. It makes me mad that I feel like they almost "hid" these from customers (they were at the bottom of the stack of black WUPs). Are stores just not even getting enough product in to even say that they have them, or is a common store practice not to disclose all inventory? Anyways, I lucked out and LOVE them! Pretty thin and go a little bit white like some of the prints do, but couldn't see my colored undies underneath, and the print is just gorgeous.

Tried on the Brisk Bloom WUP at my local store in Milwaukee, tts size 6. No sheerness and downright cute. Husband even said sexy. If he comments that means something:-)
Also tried the base runner LS, straight up stripe black/white (thick stripe). Tts size 6, fit slim but not too tight for a base layer. When I saw this online it said "burglar" to me, but in person it was attractive and purchased it too. No sighting of the parallel stripe WU crops thou.

What headband is that in the pic with the parallel stripe base runner hoodie (it has the ruffle & lace). Thanks!

4:31 am here - thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. I think I will go with the midnight blue. I have a pair of beaming blue inspires and the india blue seems very similar to that. I rarely wear them because they are so bright.

And thank you LLA - this blog is a great resource.

I'm on the east coast and two of my stores - Suburban Square in Ardmore PA and the Wayne PA store posted pics of the Brisk Bloom WUP on their FB pages today.

So slightly OT, but I am so so disappointed. After making the long drive to a store today to exchange my winter orchid calm and cozy, I just tried it on at home and there is a big hole in the front! It's along where the LL logo is sewn into the rest of the jacket. Can not believe my luck (however it is Friday the 13).. I called GEC and complained of my two hour drive to get to a store and how they are all sold out but the best she offered was to send a shipping label so I could return for a refund. Ugh. Was kinda hoping to get a gift card for my troubles (two defective sweaters + 2 hour drive) but no dice. I guess the only bright side is that they still have the winter orchid on the US site and my bf just happens to be in the states next week so I will order to his hotel. Really hoping third times a charm on this one! I was starting to believe that the quality issue was improving but buying from lulu has become such a hassle. I remember the days where I would grab something off a shelf or order online, never have to try it on or check the seems. Now I go over everything with a fine tooth comb before removing tags, which I don't mind too much except for the fact that by the time I receive an item in the mail, if it is defective, the same colour/style is usually sold out before I can exchange. Anyway, end rant. :(

Yea they seemed a lot bigger, especially in the front :(

The one with the flower pattern had zero give, I thought I was stuck in it! I also tried on the lighter one, much more stretchy but boring. They have a parallel stripe one in stores. I came home with it. It's so much better than the other 2 online!
