NEW! Runaway Hoodie

This photo just popped up in one of my groups. It's a new pullover called the Runaway Hoodie and it's $108. I've read it's not Sherpa fleece but it's super soft fleece. However, we had similar reports with the Post Chaturanga Pullover and the fabric seems to lay the same way so I would not be surprised if this is Sherpa fleece after all. There is also a gray version. (Thanks to Ms. J. for the photo.) This is from a US store - anyone try it on yet?

Ooh! A reader says this is very similar to Ivivva Hooked on Beats pullover.

Update - the tag says this is made of "Velvet Fleece."  I am unfamiliar with that fabric.

That is a carbon copy of the ivivva hooked on beats pullover. I just sold mine because of the neck. It was too weird & uncomfortable when not outside in the cold. Other than that, loved it.

Did that have Sherpa inside it?

This is not a copy of hooked on beats. Hooked on beats was a kids version of the apr├Ęs run pullover. There's no sherpa fleece in the hooked on beats.

No it did not. It was basically a fleece sweatshirt.

I am wearing a hooked on beats pullover now. It does not have sherpa inside it is just regular thin fleece. It is very soft though. I actually like the hooked on beats better than the pullover photo because it has the herringbone waistband, cuffins, and accents on the kangaroo pocket. It is different from the don't hurry be happy. anon 11:54 is right that the neck is a little strange because the hood folds over in the front.

Do you think the neck would maybe be bigger and feel better on this one since it's cut for women?

Now it def seems like we won't be getting a DHBH this year. :(

@ anon 12:47 pm - thanks! Do you have a DHBH, too? I am wonder how the Hooked On Beats rates for warmth compared to the DHBH.

velvet fleece is the same fabric as is used in the fleecy keen jackets.

DHBH is much warmer! I love my DHBH! I actually wear my DHBH outside while my hooked on beats pullover is more for in the house. I've actually been sleeping in my hooked on beats since it is lighter in terms of the material as opposed to the DHBH which can heat up rather quickly.

The hooked on beats pullover from 2012 (I have it in iris flower) has sherpa fleece on the inside, and it is super warm and awesome! =) The version this year doesn't.

I have the soot Hooked on Beats, and it looks very similar to the Runaway Hoodie. As Anon@12:47 already mentioned! It has the herringbone trim on the pockets, waistband and cuffins. I too like the appearance of the Hooked on Beats better, and I am wearing mine now too. No Sherpa fleece (but my Ivivva Cozy Practice PO has it, love that top too!)

Hooked on beats is micro fleece, but very warm (and cut big enough I can wear a couple layers easily under it). I bought it to wear during a relay in Whistler, Canada in October before and after my leg. It worked really well and was nice and toasty without any bulk. The cuffins fold over and aren't just thumbholes (this pic looks the Runaway Hoodie just has thumbholes?)

Just to clear things up, Hooked on beats in the deep purple was the only color that had Sherpa, the rest do not. The purple one is just like DHBH as far as material and Sherpa, it is lovely!
