More of the Latest and the Newest to Hit Europe

More Gratitude Wrap photos. I know a lot of you are puzzled by the GW love. Me, too. I know I ordered one but I'm 99% sure it's going to be returned but I just had to check again to make sure I didn't like it.

I know I used this same photo earlier but now I want to point out the Paris Perfection Bangbuster and  Aria tank (I think that is a Paris Perfection Aria).

The black and white striped Swiftlys and the Silver Sweat Once a Day bag.

Wow, the SE Removable hood Scuba is a weird one.

 Lux Ruffle SE Scuba

Paris Hustle left and new Paris Perfection Hustle on the right. (Thanks to Ms. K. for the photo.)

Silver Sweat Once a Day bag and the Black and White Striped Swiftlys.

New items uploaded to the EU site. I bet we'll get these tomorrow night. Check out the pique Vinyasa.

Wow can't wait to get the once a day silver. That is a MUST have. I've been shopping like crazy this holiday season. Don't think there is even a point to closing my wallet anymore just leave it open for easy access and now more with this bag. Been buying, lulu, yogasmoga and athleta like crazy.

I have wide shoulders and I knew the GW would look horrible on me... I think it only looks good on about 1 in every 10 people. Most people sort of look dumpy like they are too lazy to get dressed and threw on their granny's jacket and a lot of them look pregnant. I would worry some one would ask me if I was expecting if I wore it. I bet it's comfy but its just not a piece that flatters 90% of normal people.

Ok I don't know if it is safe to say this, but I really dislike the GW, it is so unflattering. Also it's so stupid that you can see the button stitching on the outside of the coat, looks sloppy. But one another note. I want the black and white swiftly in the long sleeve! Going on my Xmas list!

@ anon 11:22 pm - It's ok to say it. I am not a GW fan but I ordered it just to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I'm 99% sure it's getting returned.

At first I couldn't tell the difference between Paris perfection and rasp glo light. But after comparing some online photos, it looks to me like there is a slight purple tone to Paris perfection. The rasp glo light is more of just a shocking pink. Just my opinion when looking at the web photos. Will have to see in real life. I have quite a few ras glo pieces so I think it might be silly for me to get any Paris perfection at this time. I am such a sucker for PINK

Hey LLA, Any idea when we might see those b&w swiftlys online?
Thanks:)

OMG OMG are those sweat cuffs I see in the photo of the swiftly tanks/silver bag???!! Please say its true!!!!!!!! Been wanting those to come back forever!

Personally, I LOVE the gratitude wrap, it's like a cozy flattering blanket on me. I ordered 3 new ones but am a bit scared that I only sized down one size not two... Also, I need that gold bag in my life!!

Add me to the group who is totally puzzled by the GW love - I'm sure it's comfy, but not flattering IMO (don't like the neck). But hey, to each their own! I like the the brisk bloom print and am interested in trying the hustle jacket. But otherwise I'm having a hard time making my Chirstmas list!

I'm not a fan of the wrap either and never have been one to wear wraps. I'm very petite and they would swallow me up!

Went to my store yesterday and they had very little new stuff. Was in search of the passage sweater because it looks really nice and could go from casual to work wear easily. They did have the striped swiftlies and PC PO but I did not try it on.

I returned $350 worth of sheer and semi-sheer (inspires, practice daily and runday) crops so I wasn't really in the mood to try anything on. The Ed was very nice and asked me if I would like to see thicker material used and I said yes. I told her I prefer Interlock Power Luxtreme as that has great coverage and compression. Also told her I do crossfit and since you never know what you are going to be doing I can't use these crops. They are fine if all you do is run and never stretch but I need crops with versatility.

For people who were asking about YS orders and whether they shipped yet, I ordered on Black Friday and received a shipping email on Monday and the order will be here tomorrow. I'm outside of Philadelphia.

I was one of the original people years ago, who told everyone to buy/try the GW and everyone suddenly went out to try it and said they were "in love" and thank you!! It works for some and others not so much. I owned 3 and sold all my previous GWs. i liked all mine, however found the arms VERY tight. This is also coming from a gal with super skinny arms. I found the arms quite tight and that was the only thing I disliked about the GW. What i found a bit strange was reading some women bought TWO sizes in every colour. Did the math and found that a bit accessive to spend that kind of money over the holidys on yourself. LOL... I too dont get the craze over the GWs..... Im sure there will be some returns of the GW, seeing people bought multiple colours and sizes. I hate returning stuff to lulu...and getting "the look." I love buying lulu, but im very picky now on what i buy and how much i buy. Due to numerous bad customer service experiences over the phone, I find myself keeping my wallet closed more and more. Its very hit or miss with customer service and it always depends on WHO you get over the phone.... I only buy now if i absolutely MUST HAVE. :)

LLA -- Do you remember when in December lulu started doing free 3-day FedEx shipping? Do you think they'll do it again this year? Since I'm on the east coast, this will make a difference in my Xmas ordering. Thanks!

I am dying to read a fit review of the Passage Sweater....Might have to go to my local store within the next few days to see if they have it yet.

It might look good in only 1 out of 10 people, but out 10 people only 1 didn't buy it: The wrap sold out in CA the same day, and only two sizes are left in black in the US.
I personally got it in three colors and like them. I do not think this wrap looks any worse than the Savasana or the Method, both of which I also own *but only one of each.
Wraps are wraps and I get them for casual wear, layered over a LS shirt and leggings or skinny pants to run errands, to and from the gym, or simply to receive friends at home and sit in the backyard when it's breezy/cool outside.
I'm tall and lean and have a small B chest and I do not look pregnant in any of the wraps, so that's not something that I'm concerned about.
I also like to take one with me in my overnight flights, together with a Rulu Vinyasa scarf.

Is the GW a sweater or a coat?

Is anyone else freaking out over the pique vinyasa?

GW do not look good on anyone. They look okay on a few. I bought last year w hype and immediately returned. I work very hard to be fit and look pretty good in most things.
My husband(mans view) thinks its just about the most unflattering thing ever in vented…especially if the drawstring is pulled at bottom.

Ask yourself this and be honest"Would I have purchased this if it was not LUlulemon?"

Anonymous said...

I also don't get the hype on the GW. I went to my store yesterday looking for the post chaturanga pullover (didn't even have it in yet!) and thought I would give the GW a try just in case I did fall in love with it. Definitely didn't...the arms are snug as others have said which makes it a not even comfortable sac! The material isn't even that soft and cozy!

Anonymous said...

Well I must be out of the loop, but that GW thing is pretty damn ugly and does not look good on anyone.
Maybe it's warm and cozy, I am thinking people are buying it for warmth and comfort not looks. I was out of the country in a place with no internet access so I have a lot of catching up. The top with the flower patterns looks great. Hope everyone in the US had a great thanks giving.

@4:16 AM - I was going to update that I got the shipping email from yogasmoga too - I am in Kitchner Canada.

Didn't feel like putting the update earlier as I replied to a comment about shipping to canada and got accused by the luluaddicts (I think lulu employees) for being yogasmoga CS.

Anyway, I love that they ship free to canada. I wished they would do free returns from canada as well.

The GW's look best when the bottom is cinched just a bit - not so much as to look like a balloon, but just enough to give it some interest. I have worn them for the last couple of years and they look great with leggings or skinny jeans and boots, boot cut jeans, etc. They can easily be dress up and yes, are SUPER comfy.

Anonymous said...

I totally agree that the wrap only looks good on 1/10 people. I personally think and hope that others think the same that it looks great on me! I sized down 2 sizes because I prefer the more hourglass look than the sack look. With the cords pulled a little tight at the bottom it still looks great. I am so tempted to buy the purple and inkwell but it's just no in the budget. I hope I don't regret it.

Must say Iwanted to love the GW, but can't. The sticking on the snap is TERRIBLE. Workmanship is the of a 10 year old.

Having said that , if you remove the inside snaps - get rid of the sticking & only use the outside snaps, it works -

I love my GW. Not everything had to be super fitted and tight. I definitely don't look pregnant or dumpy in it. I'm sure it's unflattering for some just like any article of clothing.

I will also say that my boyfriend loves the GW on me so it can't be that unflattering!

Anonymous said...

The button stitching bugs me so much! Glad I wasn't the only one to notice. Despite how comfy the GW looks, I have no interest.

Lux Ruffle SE Scuba - interesting. I own the original Cuddle Up that looks like this, from about 2 years ago. Love it and get many compliments anytime I wear it.

@ JenO - I am TOTALLY freaking out over the pique vinyasa!! I seriously don't need another though… boyfriend got me the deep zin/orchid for xmas. I may just get this pique one though - it's way too tempting!

For any new YS buyers - I received my tippy toe leggings this week, and I find the fabric has a shine to them. The waist raise is better than LL's WU but I'm not loving the fabric shine. Just an FYI...

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 9:48 am - what color did you get? Did you have a problem with a droopy crotch? Even when I sized down I still feel a bit of excess fabric in the crotch but I think I have a short rise. My lulu stuff always hits higher than on the models.

Lauren said...

@ anon 9:48am - Greatttt. I ordered the tippy toe leggings. I have a pair of crops from Zobha that have a shine to them, and while they are really comfortable, I hate the shine :( I hope YS isn't as bad!! I do love the high waist that you talk about though! Thanks for the feedback :)

I received my passage sweater today. Love it. Just left my review on the lulu website. Bought the angel/ black sweater. Wish for a tad bit more length (still covers bum), but a great winter buy.

@anon 8:04am - Hiya, Yogasmoga mole!

Anonymous said...

I first noticed this wrap on Neiman Marcus website a couple of years ago and wanted it really bad but it was sold out in my size. I didn't know at the time the wrap was a knock off GW. Weird. So yeah some women really dig the style and look good in it, regardless of the name. It's just lululemon, not Chanel.

Anonymous said...

@ LuluAddict 9:57 am - I got the carbon (black) color. I didn't feel I had the droopy crotch problem. I stayed TTS with my LL size.

RE: people offended about YS posts... I don't understand why so offended. We're all reading this blog because we love buying clothes, myself included. No reason to get upset! Relax!

Anonymous said...

the product alert from my store did not include the GW. i don't know if that means they didn't get it or they just don't want to advertise it.

Anonymous said...

HAHAHAHA^ Anon @11:08am

Anonymous said...

Seriously 11:08 - grow up. Are you six years old?

Anonymous said...

Because it's obvious shilling and it's been constant for days. That and the never ending put downs of Lulu gear to boot. This is a LuluAddict blog not yogasmoga addict blog.

These are some cute ladies sporting the Gratitude Wrap, and I'm sorry to say, it is simply not flattering. It looks quite dumpy and poorly made.

I'm so glad I don't get the hype and am not sucked in by it.

Scuba detachable hood also another big miss/"what not to wear" list.

My yogasmoga crops from the first run had super-droopy crotch and tight seaming at the calves. Uncomfortable!! Zero of my Lulu does this. In the future will stick to my tried & true inspire, wu & groove crops!!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 6:47 pm - I got mine today and like it better than the last time I ordered one but it's still going back. I just don't care for the look of the GW. I think some ladies look cute in it but it's just not me.

@ anon 8:11 p m- I remember reading droopy crotch comment from the first batch but I didn't find that with my first production run stuff. I do agree about the narrow calf, though. They did fix that but the size 12 was adjusted quite a bit in the rise, both back and front and gusset, so I did get droopy crotch with this latest batch. I sized down to a 10 and it was a lot better but still felt kind of excessive. I think the YS has a very long rise now, though I think some people like the higher waistband/rise. I'd love to see it adjusted lower in the next batch or at least them make a pant/bottoms option with a lower rise. Right now everything of theirs is pretty high rise and comes over my belly button on me.

Anonymous said...

@LLA - I got my Ballerina Leggings and the run jump play crops from yogasmoga yesterday. It really fits well - both seem like the same fit to me - The crotch feels great on me and it holds up quite well - my WU's slip a bit so I am always adjusting so this is a plus for me. Do let me know if you want me to email some pics on how it looks but rise look great on me. I am 5'6" and the top of the pant hits about 2.5 inches below my belly button.
