Black Parallel Stripe Wunder Under Crops Spotted in the US

The black parallel stripe Wunder Under crops everyone is talking about were spotted in an upstate NY lululemon store today. Hopefully this means the rest of the country will get them this week and they will be uploaded tomorrow night.

Who knows.... They still haven't uploaded the brisk bloom WUPs so not holding my breath about these beauties! Do educators always play dumb? I asked yesterday if they had any ideas when the parallel stripe WUCs were coming and they looked at me like I was crazy and said... "Never heard of that, where do you get your info, that luluaddict website?!" Ugh

can't wait for these to be released online!!!!! MINE MINE MINE!!!

Just don't get the hype over these. They look like pajama bottoms

I see the appeal of these, but they are a pass for me. LLA, do you know if brisk bloom WUCs are coming, or just the pants?

I'm getting so annoyed at people. It seems the horrible ebay scalpers have moved on to Ivivva. There is basically no stock left of anything on the ivivva site in the larger sizes, & of course these items are starting to show up on ebay for absolutely ridiculous prices. It's such a bummer that people do this :( I dont care how badly I want something, there is NO WAY I will pay almost double the price of something on ebay. And NO WAY I will pay over retail price for used gym clothes either. craziness!

Feedback for the Forme II Jacket ..

I picked up the Forme jacket in Herringbone and Black, as my hopes for Define being brought back started to look more like delusion. Shockingly, it grew on me, and slowly but surely my beloved Defines ware no longer getting my attention. LLA I started to really understand what you meant when you said that the Define looked a little dated next to these shiny new and improved Forme II.

The other day I was running late for a casual meeting and sadly my Forme's were still wet from the wash. I grabbed my pigment Define - almost in irritation, and ran out the door. It wasn't until I put it on that I said to myself 'WOW, how could I have ever tried to replace you!?' The fit, the material, the zipper, the neck, the stitching, the little details like the vent in the back... I was literally SWOONING in feverish lust over my long lost jacket. It is a workout jacket - true, but like my Quiet Stripe pants... this jacket is just magical for a woman's body.

I can see how new comers to the brand would love the Forme and think people complaining are crazy - understandably they do look VERY much alike. But as soon as I put on my Define, the Forme FEELS cheap - because of that, I will continue to wear my Define.

I logged on heylulu to voice my renewed suffering over the death of this jacket. Sadly it looks like people have crossed over to the dark side based on some poll comments... I fear I will never see the light again...

BTW question for who bought the Herringbone Forme... is it just me, or does it look like someone painted the zipper with 'white-out'...

There is a Black Herringbone define jacket on Ebay going for $400... you have to be kidding me

LLA- did you ever try on the runaway fleece hoodie? Just wondered what your take was on it quality wise? Thanks!

Anonymous said...

These are so mine!!! LLL do you have any intel on the every yogi long sleeves coming back this season?? Thanks.

Anonymous said...

there are also wunder under pants in the pattern coming

@ anon 8:09 pm - oooh! Thanks!

@ anon 7:14 pm - I did try the Runaway Hoodie on and thought it was soft, thick, and super warm. I actually liked it a lot except that it comes in rather dull colors. If it had come in something fun like Angel Blue, Power Purple, or a Pink I would have gotten it in a heartbeat. The bottom hem does not stretch very much so if you are larger in the hips than on the top you are going to want to buy the size that fits your hips. If it goes on markdown even a little off I will probably pick one up in the black or gray. It's a nice warm, cozy piece.

I just saw these Parallel Stripe WUC on eBay & the seller is from New York! They really are here in the US!!! :) hoping these will be uploaded tomorrow!!!

Finally got my hands on these bad boys while on vacation in Sydney thankfully before their website ran out! They're super lovely! I hope there's gonna be more coming for the US site - you guys got to have these. Fit is awesome!

these are really growing on me! I hope it's true that they're coming in pants!

These are an easy pass for me as I do not like stripes on anything (unless it's wee stripes like the space prints).

Mystified as to why do people inquire about the brisk bloom WUP. Regardless of how pretty they look, I've read so far (including here) is that they are sheer.

I picked up a runday crop in parallel stripe....Im a a loss what to wear with it and if its too difficult to match. Or since its kinda loud, will I get sick of them? I dont like swiftlys since they roll up when i run and I have to pull them down all the time, I even tried sizing up and still and issue so I quit with those tops. The crops are cuter than I thought and the stripes must camoflage the sheerness issue (the all black were crazy sheer!)

Anonymous said...

Ohmigosh - that happens to me ALL the time!! It makes me feel like I'm crazy lol! I spoke with my friend and sh said the same thing about her store in a different state!! It makes me think they are told to play "dumb"...

Anonymous said...

I agree!!! I wonder how this is allowed to keep happening?! Does lulu not know that this is going on?! It's so evil!!!!

@LLA Haven't the uploads been Sun and Wed nights?

@ anon 8:18 am - Monday night and Wed night. The Sunday after Thanksgiving was a special upload for Cyber Monday.

This may be a stupid question but why are the employees allowed to purchase new limited items @ Lululemon? I used to work for a company that had a lot of limited or special pieces but the employees had to wait until the customers were done shopping. I just think its weird that they get discount on new released products when they are very limited to the full paying public.

Anyone know if the Brisk Bloom Wunders are going to be available in the US?!?! I've heard rumors that they were CA only!?!? Dying for them!

I love the parallel strip wuc but I won't be buying. I've spent enough this month on lulu.
I saw brisk bloom wuc on the Australian and New Zealand uploads, so they are around for those who are interested.

They've had the black parallel stripe crops in my Chicago store for the last week. Tried them on - not sheer - but I passed on them...the stripes were just too distracting on my eyes.

I bought those Runday Crop in parallel stripe as well - tried on in the store and they looked pretty cute. Also had the same difficulty at first figuring out what to wear with them - I am thinking my running tops in solid black will be fine, as well as deep navy blue, plum, those type of colors. But only if they are solid colors, no heathers (tried with heather grey swiftly and it didn't look right). They also go with solid true brights - fuschia, teal (surge), royal blue, hot pinks and violet depending on how bold you are. I bought a Surge Base Runner hoodie last week and it goes with that.
I also got the Brisk Bloom print in a pair of crops, I think Practice Daily? They are lovely and were not sheer on me. I'm kind of between sizes and erred on the side of picking the larger size as I nearly always do - I could get a 6 for a tight fit, but I went with the 8.

I don' have kids nor do I buy Ivivva, but somehow feel bad for the girls that wear Ivivva larger sizes and can't get what they want because grown up women are buying them, when this brand is not targeting adults.
And as a result, the Ebay scalpers have also now moved on to Ivivva.
Such a mess.

The eBay markup sales are pretty lame. I wonder if they even make that much money, factoring in the cash you spend to buy all the product and eBay taking out seller fees? There are five Lulu stores in the area where I live, so if I really want something I can almost always find it in a store (though it doesn't hurt that I wear one of the larger sizes; the 2-6 are always gone first). The resale market does make me feel more okay with buying something a little out of my comfort zone though, like the striped run crops.. I figure if I wear it a couple times and they aren't for me, I can always sell them and make like 75% of my money back.

Anon @5:38 AM - I purchased the Brisk Bloom WUs this weekend and mine aren't sheer at all, I made sure to do a bend test when I got home since the lighting in dressing rooms isn't always the greatest :) I really like them--in store the material a little more "slick" than the typical WU (I'm guessing high polyester content?) but they feel really comfortable on and the print is subtle and very pretty.

Anon @ 10:23 - I find eBay scalpers to be terrible in general, but I don't see an issue with women buying Ivivva. I have a local Ivivva showroom and I pop in there every now and then. The educators are always very welcoming and I can save some money on bottoms there. I don't know if it is just the area where I live, but I see middle-school age girls in my lulu all the time. I think it's nice for both young girls and women to choose between both stores :)

Anonymous said...

Hahaha, yes, the poor children who cannot buy Ivivva. How they must suffer.

Anonymous said...

I dont see how it matters who is buying the clothes? Some of us find Ivivva to have a better fit. I can't wear Power Ys or CRBs, they don't fit right no matter what size I try. Ivivva fits perfectly. Somehow I have a hard time feeling "bad" for girls who wear the larger sizes... if their parents are buying them $60+ workout clothes in the first place, I think they're ok. Just wish lulu/ivivva would make more of those sizes since they are obviously in higher demand. But we all know how they do that on purpose... it is definitely annoying. And the ebay thing is absolutely ridiculous. If they would just made enough clothes, none of this would be a problem. I personally would prefer them make less new styles but keep the good ones in stock for longer than a few days/weeks.

@Sarah - they're in the US. I picked some up at a NYC last Friday. And i did not find them sheer - did a full squat test, and they were boyfriend approved.

Anonymous said...

I buy Ivivva scarves sometimes.... I have a pop orange one that I bought this summer and I just picked up a beautiful raspberry one. Yes they are shorter but still a nice workable length for me and I don't need to double it up ... and they are cheaper!! :)

Anonymous said...

Same could be said for the women who bitch and complain they can't buy their Lulu. How they must suffer so.

Anonymous said...

I bought the brisk bloom WU on Friday. Didn't seem to be too sheer for me either. I need to try on at home and see for sure. I always wear a crb over my workout pants anyway and size up for extra length to cover my rear and wear nude undies, so it's not too much of an issue for me unless it's horridly sheer. I might hold onto them to see if the other style comes out in them. I usually 'save' my new lulu for a bit.

Anonymous said...

My store is NOT getting the striped WU"s tonight and they let me see the shipping manifest.
I'm super disappointed so here's they're uploaded tonight!

MandM said...

I purchase the Brisk Bloom wunder under pants at my store in my normal size and they are not sheer!

Anonymous said...

I have a friend who told me I was ridiculous for wearing Ivivva! She was like "don't you feel stupid for wearing kids clothing?" I was like why??? I responded by saying how proud I was that I was small enough to even be able to wear kids clothes! Sheesh...

Anonymous said...

@Sarah - what size are you for the Brisk Bloom WUP? I am returning my size 6 tomorrow. I can sell it to you if it's your size. $82 plus CA tax & shipping from CA.

Anonymous said...

I too bought the WUP in Brisk Bloom and not sheer at all...love them!

Anonymous said...

I love my clothes from Ivivva! Obviously there are tons of things I would never wear from them, but solid colors or certain prints are basically the same as lulu but cheaper & fit me better. Why would I feel stupid? And to be honest sometimes I like NOT having the lulu symbol on my clothes. It can feel pretentious to me in certain settings. Most people have no clue what brand the ivivva symbol is so it's a little less obnoxious IMO.

@4:39 why are you returning yours? I may be interested if they arent uploaded tonight.

Anonymous said...

@6:33 returning them cause I am about to give birth & when I tried them on, they were super tight, will size up to 8 so I can wear them sooner. :)

I am not a scalper, but I do love me some Ivivva! I bought the soot Hooked on Beats pullover that is almost exactly the same as the Lulu Runday pullover (the only difference I can see is that the Ivivva hood isn't lined and the pockets and hood are trimmed with the tweed Rulu. I actually think the waistband is nicer (not that weird elastic one like the Lulu po). I also bought a tweed rulu scarf that fits me really well (I'm only 5' tall, and I am swamped in fabric with the Vinyasas). The Ivivva earbands fit my peanut sized head (Lulu's are too big!) I bought Ivivva equivalent of a Swiftly (being short, the Lulu Swiftlys are way too long). My favorite, new toasty thing to wear is the Ivivva Cozy Practice pullover in silver spoon. So warm and soft.

So do I feel bad for some entitled child that doesn't get the size 12 or 14 that I ordered online or bought at the store? No! I don't fee an ounce of guilt! If Lulu did petite sizes, I wouldn't be even looking at Ivivva! (Although, it is fun to save some cash, and they have some super cute things!)

Educator here. We don't play dumb. Thanks for the low key insult, though.

Me, and some of the others who check sites like LLA, tell everyone else about items like the striped WUCs. There's no other way they would know.

Fun fact: our store manager only recently found out from us what an upload was. Same with my old manager.

Again, the educators and managers world is that STORE, and that community, not the business as a whole (usually). We still LOVE the product. But we dont know when things are coming in store 95% of the time.

Anonymous said...

Are these Parallel WU TTS?? Or size down? I normally wear an 8 in WU crops but heard these are bigger? Anyone know

Anonymous said...

MB, good to know and glad to have your input here.
All educators and customers are different. Some bad and some good obviously.
In my local store some are very nice and others seem to have an attitude at times, but hey, I am moody as well.
I might not be a typical lulu customer as I am early 50's but I try to stay fit and active and have always been a fashion forward person. That being said I just smile and spend my money there anyway regardless.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the input 9:45. For some reason I thought the managers were basically in charge of bringing in the items that they think will sell in that particular store.

I notice my local store stocks items according to the season. Right now it's very cold in NYC and I notice the store stocks more jackets and long pants, gloves, hats etc. They have shorts and skirts, but not as much as in the summer months.

@8:09 I think you are wearing the right brand for you. Judging by your remarks, Ivivva seems very age appropriate.
