Upload!

I went way out on a limb and got the black Base Runner hoodie. It looks like cozy, warm softness, perfect for chilly days. I don't care for Surge and the gray has a bit of a sci-fi show look to it and hasn't looked that flattering in any of the photos I've seen yet so I went with safe black. I ordered a couple of sizes.

I don't know why my Mac sometimes messes up the brightness when I copy a photo but in this case it works. This is the bottoms modeled with the Base Runner hoodie. They look like the Brisk Blossom print in a run bottom since I see holster pockets on the leg. I guess it could be a pair of the new Practice Daily pants.

The new Core Kicker luxtreme crops look intriguing. These are for gym only since they don't have a ton of pockets for running but I am loving that lulu is making more cute luxtreme bottoms for the gym. I want to give these a try on at the store.

New Softshell Keep It Up Pant. I don't need these for my climate but I know people who love their lulus soft-shell pants for winter activities.

The new toiletries kit for this holiday season.

I didn't post about it but I also got the Soot Brisk Blossom Print Scoop Neck tank and a pair of the Practice Daily crops in black at the store this weekend. I returned my pique black Skinny Will pants (nice but can live with the Herringbone and pique I already have) and one of the Raspberry 105F tanks I ordered (I ordered two sizes. The raspberry is nicely vibrant and opaque so a keeper for sure. This makes 105F singlet number four for me.)

Did you order anything tonight?

I scooped up a pair of herringbone WUP today and am undecided about the size. I'm a solid 6 in pants and have never gone up or down but my store only had an 8. It didn't look baggy but felt a little looser than a 6, but I'm concerned about it stretching out. Has anyone had more long term experience with these pants? Do they stretch out after exercise or washing?

The two new scubas look fab! I am very interested in both of the new bags and the core kick crops. I am a R&D member, so I avoid buying online . Good upload tonight, though! can't wait to hit my store in a day or two!

Herringbone fits snugger. A lot of people will size up in Herringbone items. I think it will relax a tiny bit but will not bag out and will snap back into being snug again after a wash. You are probably ok with the 8.

I am also a 6 in most LLL, but for the WUP Herringbone I have both 8 (older) & 6 (the darker one, bought recently). I will be exchanging the 6 for an 8 this week. They don't sag or stretch after washing, they snap back to shape.

Nothing for me, which is a bummer because I was hoping there was something I could exchange my sheer BB WUCs for :/ Since the holiday return policy is in effect there's always next week!

Are there any Softshell pants for men? I was hoping to get a pair for my dad! TIA.

Any chance we will see a CRB in raspberry or zinfandel???

Boring. Nothing interested me in this upload. I keep hoping for good things to put on my Christmas list, but nothing yet!

The base runner looks lovely and cozy. I also am interested in the new crops but alas am still waiting for my order from last week to arrive. Depending on how the crops I ordered fit/sheerness factor will depend on whether I return and get something else.

I think bleached coral is a beautiful color - have the rise and shine pullover from this spring - but am not loving it in this new pullover. I would love a deep zin pullover in a solid rulu. Since I just bought a star runner pullover in solid black I will wait for additional colors to come out.

I'm excited to receive my yoga smoga crops today!

LLA was wondering if you knew the difference between two fabrics. The new tech spped tighs made of tech fleece and the brushed interlock power luxtreme speed tights?

Mandy said...

Has anyone tried the Speed Tight *Tech? Are they much warmer than the *Cozy ones that were uploaded a few months ago? The *Cozies are great for cooler runs, but I think I need something more substantial for actual winter running... Are the *tech fleece ones the answer to this?
Thanks :)

Any feedback on the fit of the Softshell Keep It Up Pant? I really wish LLL would design a pair of water repellent tights, like these pants, for running. In the mean while, I get the pants for hiking and walking my dogs on rainy/snowy days.

I didn't order anything. I might pick up the Base Runner half zip in black. I like the Enlighten and Expand tote in the assorted stripe vertical printed surge version. It looks like a lighter bag. I have 2 other LLL bags that I don't use anymore because they become heavy when you load them up, and I'm pretty smart about packing light. I can live without a new bag but I will consider it once I see it in store. It's still pricey at $68 but at least for once it's not close to or over $100.

Disappointing upload, nothing for me. I was waiting patiently for the winter pants, but they both have 28" inseams, which would be crops on very tall me, not exactly what I want for running in the snow. I also don't care for all the blacks, grays, and whites, and I don't like the surge or raspberry, so nothing interesting in this week's color palette either. Might there be a Friday upload that's better? I can only hope!

Keep it Up Jacket - oh, I see now. It does have a dropped hem! The pics from yesterday in that printed version made it look like it was a long shirt coming beneath a short waisted jacket. It looks better now that I see the official pics. White is pretty but not practical for me. I like the black one. But for $198, this can absolutely wait until markdown, and maybe not even. I'll have to try it in store first. And I have a lot of jackets! I really have to get on with selling some stuff locally...

Like a few things from this upload but nothing I couldn't live without.
I finally received the surge Fluff Off pullover and if I am honest, I don't understand all the fuss. I so much prefer the fit and look of last year's What The Fluff pullover. Most likely will end up selling it.

I was really hoping to see DHBH. I was ready!! Do you think it will not happen since they release a new pullover??

I ordered the Keep it Up pants in soot, and the Winter Sprinter hoodie in bleached coral. So excited about both of these, and hopefully they'll work fit-wise. I'm in Colorado so those pants should be perfect.

@ Livvy - What is an R&D member? And, how do you become a member? What are the perks, if any?

I LOVE tech fleece pants. I cannot use large enough letters for LOVE. I was extremely excited for new ones this year, and now I'm just disappointed. What's up with the saggy crotch in one and belt loops in the other? I mean, honestly, if I'm running, I'm NOT wearing a belt (or at least not one that I'll lace through belt loops). Does anyone have tech fleece pants/tights from previous years that they would like to sell me? Size 4! :)

Does anyone know if Lulu will be doing a Black Friday upload? I seem to remember them doing 2 uploads last year.

wow what a tiny lack luster upload- holiday season and such i'm thinking they are retarded!

I was expecting the deep zinfandel new duffle bag but it wasn't part of new upload:-(

What is the Winter Swiftly?
It popped up on the Canadian site today but I've never seen it before. There are no reviews and no info about it other than photos. Is it made of a thicker fabric?

Anonymous said...

Nothing for me either which hasn't happened in quite awhile! I was completely disappointed in the items from this week's upload....blah! Oh well, it's good for the wallet, especially with the holidays coming up!

Just got back from the store and they are going to be having Black Friday sales in Canada, not on the existing items but new items made specifically for the sale.

The Base Runner Hoodie runs at least 1/2 size small. I tried my larger size and it was tight. Nice double zipper on the top.

I tried the Tech Fleece pants trouser fit, horrible pant the crotch is so long I am 5'4, and the waist way too high on me. If you are tall however you might find the pant too short.

I tried the Rulu Pullover hoodie, I was able to size down in this, very nice warm thick top, I did not buy it because there is too much fabric at the neck.

Thanks LLA and anon 11:43 for the info on the herringbone WUP!

They have to be doing a Black Friday upload, they didn't release any tanks to speak of this week, they have to be out there somewhere. All the stuff this week was designed for running, what about yoga and barre stuff? Must be coming on Friday. Will wait patiently for my Ebb to Street in Winter Orchid(taps fingers on desk.)

Also, I bought the DZ winter orchid vinyasa but returned it because it had this weird bit of ribbon with a little metal button on it with the lulu symbol. It was not in a good place. I noticed it also on some of the knit items, not liking that tag placement, way too obtrusive. I like the little metal lulu logo sewn on in the corner. I sure hope that ribbon thingy goes away fast. I could take it off but for expensive items I don't think I should have to do that. Am I crazy or does it look weird on the hats?

That toilette kit is pricy... $59?????

Anon @ 9:38-- So would you recommend sizing up two sizes from your TTS in the tech fleece 1/2 zip hoody? (I think it's actually called the Winter Sprinter).

How does the tech fleece feel? I have a pair of Toasty Tech tights from last year that feel like very, very thick luxtreme, but are not particularly "fleecey" in my opinion. Wondering if the tech fleece this year is similar.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, @anon 6:45 - I am an R&D member also - it stands for Research and Develoment and is available to instructors, personal trainers, coaches, etc. (I am a running and triathlon coach.) It's a 15% discount on the items you buy in-store (not available online) and for yourself (so I don't get it when I buy stuff for my hubs). You then go online to give specific feedback on the items, basically like a wear-tester. It's a nice perk and for me it's been a great way to get to know some of the educators at my local store, even if 15% doesn't seem like that much. Hope that helps!

Hey..the Keep it Up tech fleece pants are showing as sold out on all sizes and all colours. With that high rise and short, short inseam.. (28 inches?! I'm a puny 5'1" and my inseam is 29.5) they can't possibly be sold out. Wonder what happened?
And why are the colours for the Base Runner pants still screwed up?

The shirt shown with the hat might be the from the Fluff Off line, Fluff Off Long Sleeve since they haven't released one from that line.

Yes,Speed*TECH are wonderful. They are fleece brushed and thicker than Speed*COZY (which is slightly brushed like the brushed WUs.) Speed*Interlock are just the Interlock Luxtreme.

@Lana I also returned my dz vinyasa, mostly because I thought it was too much fabric, but I was not happy with that weird logo part either. I wasn't sure if I was missing something & there was a function but it sounds like there is not, which is really dumb. I actually pass on a lot of lulu items because of the logo placement, especially pants. I don't need the world knowing what brand of clothes I'm wearing, I would find it embarrassing to have lulu plastered all over my clothes in some situations where I would otherwise love to wear that item. too bad. I understand putting a logo symbol somewhere, but it is so much better when it can be hidden (like on wunder unders) or very discrete.

@ Anon 7:19 AM ---- OMG I thought the same thing with the running pants...seriously, belt loops?!?!?! I was so looking forward to a new pair this year too. :(

Disappointing upload for me. No must have items. It seemed somewhat random to me. They must be saving items for another upload this week.
