NEW! Base Runner Rulu Hoodie, Keeping It Cozy Sherpa Fleece Mittens, and Savasana and Stride Jackets Returning

New rulu Base Runner hoodie ($98). Looks kind of cute. It also comes in solid black.

New Sherpa fleece-lined Keeping It Cozy Mittens. The price is $48. There is also a neck warmer. (Thanks to Ms. H. for the photos.)

Other new items spotted in stores (but I don't have photos yet): a tech fleece pullover called the Winter Sprinter hoodie ($118) and a new soft-shell jacket called the Keep It Up jacket ($198).

Also, it was announced on Hey Lululemon that the Savasana Wrap and Stride Jackets will return. Yippee. I own neither of these. The Stride is a beloved design but I never really picked up on the Savasana love. I don't think these go for a lot on the used market, unlike the Gratitude Wraps which routinely reach in the $300-400+ range depending on the color.

OMG BOTH THE STRIDE AND THE SAVASANNA WRAPS ARE COMING BACK?!?!?! EEEK!!!! I am a stride/in stride maniac, I have probably 15 and will definitely buy more! I hope they make them in nice fabrics like pique, herringbones, etc. and not just really bright colors. I also own one savasana wrap and just love it.

Any idea when we can expect these items to hit the market?

Looks kind of like a rulu version of the DHBH?

YAYY for the return of the Stride Jacket!! Wooo hoo!! Not feeling the stripes, but I'd love a pretty solid one.

not sure if this has been discussed but they now have the speed tights *tech with fleece on the inside instead of just the brushed. Got a pair to test out since it is now in the 20s - ugh!

so excited for the stride!! Don't know why the savasana is getting so much love...

i bought mine for $49 on markdown and they're not very warm. The flap comes open all the time. I'm really surprised they beat the define jacket :/

Most of the striped Stride/In Stride jacket have a higher resale value than the plain ones. Quiet Stripe, Black Macro Micro (shown) and etc.
I have a pique Stride, so soft and lovely but I can't imagine wearing my pique WUP with it..overkill. I received my Pique luon wills and they seem nicer than I thought after reading the reviews and not as thin as I expected. I'm not sure about keeping them yet since I'm interested in getting print WUP. Got the Beautiful Baroque CRB, I haven't heard much feedback about it and I'm on the fence about it.
Received the Winter Orchid/DZ Vinyasa .....love and Winter Orchid is the exact same color as my Cassis Sparkle Cuddle UP jacket

I tried on the speed tights *tech with the fleece inside at my local store last week (NYC) and noticed that the gusset was cut differently than the "cozy" speed tights (which I have and love). The triangle gusset starts farther back in the crotch and this caused major cameltoe.

I would LOVE a mini cheque STRIDE - the stride with a hood please!!

I also bough my Savasana wrap in markdown and coincidentally I'm wearing it at home today while typing a paper for school. It's a piece that I wear at home, not to and from, because it's not very warm and it has no structure. I'm happy that I got it, but will not get another one. This wrap is one of those very few lulu items that I'm pretty content with owning just one. Same with the Gratitude, one is enough for me.

eek - anon 1:32 PM!! I'm going to have to try those suckers on again at home before taking the tags off. Didn't notice that in store but was a quick try-on since I already have the cozy speed tights.

I find it funny how many people made such a big stink over the forme, disliking every positive review on the site because they wanting the define back. Nothing could compare to the define.....yet it didn't even win or come in second on the HeyLulu survey.

Do you guys think that the Stride & Savansa Wrap really beat out the Define? Or do you think LLL has put a lot of $ into their Forme jacket and has a bunch on the horizon and didn't bring back the Define for that reason? I personally loved the Stride...the Define didn't fit my muscular shoulders well.
So many people are fantatical over the Define...I agree that it's weird it didn't make the top 2. Conspiracy? ;)

I don't have a Stride but I do have an In Stride - I love it. I don't think I ever cared for the Stride and the hood, whereas the In Stride has the nice tall collar.

@CarrieRae - Yeah, I think the results were skewed somehow. Defines resell for high $ on ebay, particularly herringbone ones which are going for $500 (but same for pique and herringbone Strides). That one crop that was up for vote, I can't even remember the name of it, no one was clamoring for it to return in any of the groups I am a member of. It's not like people are pining away for it.

@ anon 4:37 pm - I'm going to say something kind of heretical but the Forme II has grown on me now that I see it more and more (and they added cuffing in and made the shoulders better) and the Define looks kind of dated [ducking for cover now] to me. I do have four Defines that I love because of their beautiful colors (pow, bruised berry, potion purple, heathered blurred gray) but the Forme II is not a bad replacement at all.

I never cared for the Stride, even though I tried it on many many times over the years. However, I do regret not getting the black macro micro one. That is the only one that really turns my head when I spot it.

Hi LLA or anyone else,

Is the sizing for the Stride TTS or should one size down?

LuluAddict said...

@ Alicia - I believe Stride was always a size down jacket.

LLA, just genuinely curious what about the define looks dated to you? I agree the Forme II has grown on me and I think it looks very good on some people. For me with smaller shoulders, the Define just fits better though so that is why i prefer it. The sleeves fit me better too. I will say of all the jackets, the Nice Asana has been my favorite though. It's the look of the In stride but with a better fit for my body type.

@ anon 7:41 pm - I think I like that it is more streamlined - the lulu symbol is more understated in the front. I'm not sure how I feel about the back. I do like the back of the Define.

I miss Jen Thiel's smiley face, and i felt like she wore the Lulu so well...she lloked like a real person. The new models look like...well...models. I have a hard time envisioning what the clothing will look like on me because the new models are so tall and skinny. Are we really to believe that the new models are really sporting size 6 in all their photos?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 8:52 pm - I think all the models used were pretty tall. That is why I like the store photos of the clothes on the eds since they usually have a variety of heights, if not body types. I could do with more photos of busty women in the tops but those aren't that easy to come by.

The picture of the Keep It Up Jacket looks like it's covered in a tone-on-tone inkwell flaceoflage print. Any word on if this print is coming back?
