obsessed with the more practice tank! How does it fit??

any idea when the purple base runner 1/2 zip will be available online?!!??!

Has anyone found they like the long sleeve bad runner? I have 2 but will probably take them back. The shoulder details suck :(

practice daily tank is so pretty.
The base runner shown in these photos is grey not purple. I think the lighting is weird and makes it look light purple. The lady in the push ur limits is in amazing shape.

Returning my ls base runner as well. :(

my store got the new skinny wills and i found them to fit differently (tighter, not as soft or thick) as my other wills in the pique material - i didn't end up buying them - really surprised me. another woman was trying them at the same time and found similar results. also the tabs are little plastic things instead of the the metal they use to have.

Junie B the 1/2 zip pullover that looks like a pale purple is in fact the white Herringbone uploaded today.

This might sound like a dumb question, but does lulu have Black Friday sales?! LOL

I was hoping for a purple 1/2 zip too. Fingers crossed. Is the winter orchid vinyasa micro striped? Can't find a good pic. looks solid to me.

Just FYI, according to my convo last night with GEC, I guess they are changing how they upload things now due to the fiasco that have been going on the past few weeks because when I inquired about the vinyasa scarves showing up online, she made it a point to HINT to me that the upload isn't done until the PNs are sent, which usually happens around 1:30am PST in the U.S. That was really nice of her because I was honestly going to bed but ended up getting what I wanted. Wohooo!

I am returning my ls base runner too, not liking the fit at all. I was all excited about the new stuff coming out but it isn't working for me.

Yes! Not a fan of the LS base runner. I will be returning mine as well!

@ anon 10:39 am - Well that sucks. That means the east coast will have first jump on coveted items unless I decide to stay up super late.

The Base Runner 1/4 zip cut looks awful, too bad because the pique is so soft and cozy.

I returned my base runner half zip from last week's upload -- love the surge color, but hate the curved hem on me, and that was a deal breaker on a $100 shirt.

I like the base runner ls and unlike most reports I stayed tts -- I always have to size to accommodate my chest, so perhaps that's why I don't have any issues with shoulder tightness (similarly I don't size up on swiftly ls and I know many find the arms too tight) -- and I have very beefy arms/shoulders/upper back.

I tried on the Fluff Off vest in store last weekend when I was making a return and would have needed to size up to a 10 from my usual 8 in that -- to tight in the chest and looked much better in a 10.

The Fluff Off pullover is amazingly flattering and I stayed tts. If this were less expensive, I'd get one in every color.

Today I ordered the BB Inkwell WUP and the DZ/Black reversible WUP. Also the bleached coral vinyasa. Could have bought about 15 more items -- including the surge and raspberry NLTs. I have so many of these tanks (so many made it to wmtm lately!), though, and I'm trying to be reasonable. I also kind of want the DZ vinyasa but am going to try to hold out for surge (please please please, lulu!)

I need to go through my drawers and list some stuff on ebay because it's starting to look less like a wardrobe and more like a collection.

The vinyasa scarf is solid on both sides, picked it up in store last week. Beautiful, and so glad to finally have a solid print! I was getting sick of all the stripes.

I love my ls base runner, but I didn't buy the pique. (I got the surge and inkwell striped, which is super cute and I can wear with jeans and cords). I wore it to work today, and I had to laugh to myself, because the surge is the exact same color as the scrubs I was changing into--I am drawn to that color, and it's probably because I wear it every day, lol! The pique base runners run tighter than the inkwell/surge.

The orchid/zin Vinyasa is micro-striped, but the stripes are super subtle, narrow stripes (it's wild orchid with a very light pale color), so if you want a distinctly striped scarf, then you would be disappointed. I still bought it for my SIL because she loves purple (would have bought it for myself if the stripes were more distinct)

I tried on the inkwell/surge reversible WUC today and did not like them. I would mostly buy them for the inkwell side and found that too much of the surge shows through in an almost opalescent way which gets worse when you bend your knees or squat.

My store was pretty disappointing because they had none of the new stuff except for the new flow y bras and the practice daily tank which does not interest me although the satin straps are beautiful.

There were a lot of CRBs marked down to $34 - inkwell/greenbean, cornflower, ziggy wee august plum, plum/ras glo hyper stripe. Also all star runners were marked down to $74 but unfortunately there were none in my size. Tried to squeeze myself into a 2 but the arm pits were too tight. Hopefully these hit wmtm this week and I can score an all black one. Super soft rulu.

LS baserunner going back here as well - plastic seams under the arms - practically chafing as I was standing there!

I tried on the black pique skinny wills today. Hated them! They are thin, not soft, & I didn't find them at all flattering. I felt like you could see every imperfection through the pants. I couldn't wait to take them off! So glad I didn't order them last night.I was

I was really hoping to try on the new practice daily pants & crops, but my store did not have them. Please post a report if anyone does! I want to order them but hate returning things so would be nice to know if they are sheer & tts.

I also tried on the open your heart LS in the raspberry stripe/cream. I really like it (sized down) but couldn't pull the trigger on an $80 tshirt that looks a bit like a nightgown lol.

My store had an abundance of vinyasas, which I was surprised to see (warm climate). I ordered the zin one this morning & it is gorgeous & sooo soft! I was having a hard time deciding between that one & the black stripe, but in person the purple one is so much nicer. Can't wait to get it.

@LLA - Yah, it does suck for the early sleepers on the West Coast. =(. But her statement does run along with what happened last night with a second upload later into the night. Hopefully that's just a temporary thing for the holidays!

@ anon 2:48 p - ooh! Thanks for your review - did you happen to get the mini check ones that came out a month or so ago?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 11:57 am - I tried on the Base Runner PO today, too. I didn't like the curved hem either, nor how yucky the neck looked when it was zipped up.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 1:54 pm - thanks for the review on the inkwell/surge WUs. I wanted to try them on today but my store didn't have my size. I was wondering if the surge side would show through.

I bought the black pique skinny wills today, but am on the fence about keeping them. They are not as cozy as I expected, but I do love the high waistband for the colder weather months. Decisions, decisions.

skinny will pants look really good on ppl who are really SKINNY, go figure

Anonymous said...

I think the skinny will pants are absolutely unflattering. I'm very surprised how popular they've been. I'm still going to try them to see if I like them. I have large thighs so I'll probably hate them but I've got to see for myself.

Tried on the base runner 1/2 zip in raspberry, light grey herringbone and charcoal herringbone. The knit in the 2 herringbone styles were much denser/tighter it felt like a different product from the raspberry. Sizing up didn't help b/c of all the seams below the bust line and the mid-back from the pocket.

bummer. got the raspberry - anybody know if the 1/2 zip will come in the Zin? like the sleeves on the Zin Fluff pullover?

I tried on the surge/inkwell WUCs today too. I wasn't impressed, especially when I tried the inkwell side.

And now a rant about their sizing - WHY are the bands in the built-in bra tops so freakin small??? I tried a power Y in luon (the deep zin/winter orchid stripe) and the 2 was way small in the band (I'm a 32B), but the 4 is baggy in the body. I ended up going with a 4 so I could breathe. The good news is the fabric is nice and soft and thick. And does anyone find the running shorts run big? I consistently wear a 4 in crops/pants (though I can squeeze into a 2 in inspires), but the speed and groovy shorts were both huge on me in a 4 and snug in a 2. Maybe I'm just annoyed being between sizes in everything. I ended up with the raspberry speeds. I like the length of the grooves better, so I'm crossing my fingers for the deep zin gingham in those. Overall this week has been pricey for me! Shoutout to the girls at the Westfield UTC store. They were super friendly and helpful.

i guess i'm in the minority. i love my Base Runner 1/2 Zip. i finally got mine from last week's upload today and loved it so much that i ordered another. the fabric is so soft. and i like that the curved hem covers my behind. now, i don't know how often i'll wear it to actually run. but i love it otherwise.

i don't think i'll be keeping the regular Base Runner though (if it ever arrives--FedEx has lost that package). for some reason, i like the thickness as a pull-over, but not really as a top. i think it might be too warm to wear on a long run (i'm in SC).

i am anon 2:48. i did not get the ones from a few months ago, but i did try them on. the previous one were thicker, and way way softer. i much prefer the older version, but i agree with the others, i really wanted to, but i dont like the skinny wills period. i am a pretty small girl (size 2 jeans, size 4-6 lulu bottoms) but they make me look bigger. they remind me of luon mom jeans kinda. obviously everyone has a different body so im sure they look great on other people :)

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:56 pm - I think for the running shorts you pretty much have to be bang on the hip measurement to fit in the size, especially in the 2-way stretch fabric, at least that is what I find in the Groovy Run shorts.

Anonymous said...

@7:56 i have size issues w/ lulu too. im always between a 4-6. i tried the shake & break shorts today & i was swimming in the 6s but the 4s were way too tight. i double checked the tag because they seemed like a 2. wayyy too much difference for just 1 size apart. if you haven't checked out ivivva, you might find the tanks fit better. the tumblin tank (which is the power y equivalent) fits me perfectly in size 14...though now they are making them out of luon light :(

Anonymous said...

I am also between sizes in shorts at least (crops/tights I'm always a size 4) because size 4 speeds often are baggy in the bum but the 2's are just too tight and give me major panty lines from the liner - not flattering! I just ordered a size 2 shake and break short in surge and am hopeful that they fit and are flattering. I tried a 4 on a while ago in store and the butt was baggy. So far I have found that the track attack shorts look best on me. I have two pairs of groovy's but feel like the liner shows too much and I seriously cannot stand to have panty lines!!! Unflattering on any size butt!

Anonymous said...

This is anon @ 7:56 - thanks for the replies. It's crazy how much of a difference there is between the two sizes! At least I know it's not just me.

Anon @8:43 - I have 3 Ivivva tops - a cool racer and 2 long sleeve rulu tops (train for the game?? I forget). I love the fit of the cool racer soooo much better than a CRB. The neckline isn't too low and the length is way better on my 4'11 self. CRBs are way long on me. I may have to try a tumblin tank. A showroom just opened up near me so at least I can go try stuff on there instead of praying that a 14 fits :)

Anonymous said...

@4:47 yes I have a cool racer too that I love in size 14. CRBs look horrible on me... too long, too low, & tight in the wrong places. I have been waiting for them to release some normal colors in the cool racer so I can get some more. I swear, they are only making the ugliest, brightest colors lately so adults have to spend more money at lulu instead. lol. I think you will like the tumbin tank. I'm a 32c & obviously a bit bigger than you so it should fit you well. I wear them almost daily b/c I hate bras :)

Anonymous said...

@8:38 - yeah I'm waiting on some less crazy colors/prints in the cool racer. I missed my size in peacock, but I have the surge crb so it's not a big deal. Thanks again for the input!

yeah I concur w/ the upload giving the east coast a major headstart cause who wants to stay up that late-not me that's for sure- a lot of the ebay sellers live over there too! o-well makes me concede not to be too obsessed w/ lulu which I shouldn't be its like being an addict right? hense this blogs name ;)
