The New Paisley Speed Shorts On

Hmm, these look like men's boxers. The lighting isn't the best in this photo but I am not a fan at this point.

The green ones are cute, but she's wearing the wrong size in blue and black. Eek.

I'm on the fence, on one hand I really like the green and the paisley isn't my favorite but it isn't awful either. It will probably be one of those things I wish I will regret not getting in hind sight. LOL

Any idea if they are 2 or 4 way stretch? I venture the blue are 4 way but it is hard to tell with the green.

The black stripey ones look like the slalom stripe in the groovy run shorts. They look small as well.

I laid my pair on top of an old size 10 pair of RSS and the waist band is the same but the hips are much smaller, I would venture at least 1/2" on each side. Since I am between sizes, a large 8 and a small 10 they fit me fine as do the hyper stripe shorts which seem to be cut the same as the slalom stripe ones.

The wee space shorts look tight on that girl. I wonder if they're 2-way stretch and a size-up short.

I like the colors of the grey striped ones at the bottom but they look like they fit terribly.. kind of turns me off..

Not too much a fan of green, especially not that kind of green. I'm more of a neutral colors girl. Also, I love paisley but this particular print, I am not feeling at all. I might be able to save some money in the next few uploads if these are the new colors. Any clues if there will be some new wee space crops coming?

The groovy's look way too tight on her. I like the green paisley, but can't really pull off speed shorts with my thighs.

Those all look hideous to me. I like the blue color but I can't figure out what is going on up top. And none of them look like a flattering fit. Yuck.

In other news, I was just at the Athleta site and they have denim, space dye, and a few different print Chaturanga capris and pants that look really cute and are getting super reviews. All in extended sizes and for less money. If this next upload is fug, I'll probably be spending my budget there.

I was on the fence about the green paisley rss but after trying them in the store I was sold. They are definitely unique. They are a true kelly green and the waist band and print is navy instead of black (as it appears in most of the pics). They are 2-way stretch but are cut on the roomier side. I ended up buying my normal size 6 because it was all they had in stock but I possibly could have sized down. The cornflower blue was "meh" for me.

The shorts are too tight for the style. I like the green paisley, I also like the brown and blue combo.
How do you workout when your clothes are so tight?

Ewww! If this is what the palette is going to be like for the next couple of months, then I'm super happy my wallet will be taking a nice long break. Unless some really nice textured WUs or the defines make an appearance.

I personally don't think the green or blue shorts are too tight but to each their own. I don't like my clothes too loose, it drives me nuts to have a bunch of fabric flopping around and bunching up.

Yeah I concur- speeds are being worn way way too small in these pix! people often wear them way too small then leave feedback that they chafe them btwn the thighs ha ha ha well I wonder why???? if people aren't willing to wear the correct size or even size up (bigger) then they shouldn't wear them imo!

That's an interesting comment. I've not had problems with chafing with my tighter speeds but when they are a bit bigger I tend to have some issues. Maybe it's because I'm between sizes or how my body is shaped. I find the diversity of opinions on this blog so interesting and educational.

I plan on getting them! I don't care if other ppl hate them :)
Can you tell me if the waist ban was normal or did it have zero stretch?
The sea check rss in an 8 were too big but the slalom stripe black and soot rss were WAY too tight in the hips. They looked like they fit but I would not have been able to work out in them... I will prob get an 8 but I'm between a 6 and an 8 right now... Post baby weight LOL!

What is going on in the third picture of the shorts? Are those Groovy Run? They are too tight, not the right fit for the person.

5:51 I agree with you. I guess it depends what the wearer is going to do in the shorts, for casual workouts the say the shorts are worn on the top picture, it might be OK, but if you are running or squatting. lunging etc. The tightness of the short would be a hindrance.
