Reflective Inspire Crops, First Base Tank, and More

Checkout the new SE Reflective Inspires and the reflectivity on the Angel Wing Hyperstripe Speed shorts. I love that lululemon puts reflectivity on so many run items. I see so many people running at night with hardly anything reflective on.

Darn. I wish I knew (remembered) Gather and Crow crops came in the Ziggy Wee September Black pattern. Shown with the No Limit Tank.

I really like the Cornflower/Ziggy Inkwell No Limit Tank the more I see it.

I was so excited about the angel stripe speeds but now after finding out they have reflective on them I'm not so sure. I'm not a big outside runner and mostly wear my speeds to the gym or when I wear workout clothes as an outfit (everyday). It's a GREAT feature for those who do run outside and need the reflective. I will see how they are in person when they get here tomorrow. If its really obvious, they might be going back. :/

OT- LLA, do you think the U.S. side will get the angel wing vinyasa?

And for those lucky Canadians that got it...do you love it?

I got my salom stripe black speeds... Well I'm between a 6 and an 8 and these are too small :( I was so excited to get them and almost ripped off the tags because they are definite keepers, they band is gorgeous too but the waist stitching where the band meets the luxtreme has ZERO give and they cut in to my post baby belly :/ ... I thought sizing up to an 8 would work but obviously these are almost like the grey wee space speeds that were uber tiny! These aren't as small but the waist stitching has NO give and cuts in to me. I'm returning them unless some one else wants them... I would say they would fit a true 4 or some one in between a 4-6...

Anon 2:44, I bought these Speeds and assure you they look like normal shorts if you're just going to the gym or wearing them in daylight. I didn't even know how much reflectivity there was until this blog post. I think camera flash really helped these photos bring out the reflective areas.

I tried on the soot inspires, see thru. Maybe if you had no booty they would work. Got the thicker reflective inspires, nice thick compressive material.

Good lord, I am so happy that I am not into any of these pieces...happy wallet...but who knows how long it will last..

OT
Just needed to vent and share an unpleasaant customer service experience. I made an order online and changed my mind a few hours later about one of the items, so I tried to cancel the order through my account online and via email to GEC. 24 hrs lat, I get an email that the order has shipped. Within *minutes* of receiving the shipping confirmation, I get a reply from GEC lecturing me about their policy that there are no cancellations after an order has shipped. Ugh. Love the clothes (well, I used to), but feel disgusted with the service.

Oh! Also! I tried to post a review of the energy bra, which I really like, on the Lulu site. I included several photos comparing the difference in size between the size 6 aquamarine and the size 6 plum. (The plum is almost an inch smaller qround the band). Somehow, my review didn't get uploaded. Hmph.

I bought the Angel striped speeds and you can't even tell that they are reflective in the daytime. I love them and they'll come in so handy during my early morning runs.

Anonymous said...

@sandra-maybe they vary, but I wouldn't recommend them for anyone smaller than a 6. I'm between a 6 and 8 and mine in an 8 fit perfectly. There's no way they would fit someone who is a 4.

Anonymous said...

I agree that the salom stripe black speeds are tiny. I wear a size 6 and these are able as small as I would wear out in public. I almost returned them, but they are too darn cute. Damn you lulu, be consistent with your sizing!

Inkwell Inspires uploaded on US site! I just grabbed a pair! I also went for the skirt--I know I can wear it to work. Looks awesome.

I just received my plum energy bra and yes it looked like a 2 to me but it was a 4. Although on looking at the cups they said they were a 2!. On comparison to other energy bras it is noticably smaller round the band by a good inch or so. It fits me, but it is very fitted round the ribs. Had I known I would have sized up. It measures the same as my all sport bra but the elastic seems less giving. I ordered this on the US site and had it shipped to me downunder as we havent had any plum bras loaded down here except for the tatatamer. It costs alot but if it is a product I cant source here its worth it to me. I had an online chat to GEC and they were understanding and helpful but at the end of the day the best thing if I decide not to keep it is to return it downunder to my local store and get it put on a gift card. Seriously lulu needs to get its sizing back on track!!!! Or speak to there sewing team in Sri Lanka!!! to keep or not to keep.....damn its pretty!

Anonymous said...

My last review didn't getting loaded either. Guess it was too truthful for them

I think the angel wing speeds are adorable and I actually prefer two way vs. four way in speeds. I have a small butt so the two way gives the illusion of there being more there than there actually is!

I'm sad but glad at the same time to hear the soot inspires are sheer. I had already ordered the inkwell when I saw that they were also coming in soot and was really torn. I will still try them on.

I was hoping for another early WMTM but that didn't happen. It's just after 6:30 on the east coast and it still hasn't uploaded...hoping the pop orange ls swiftly makes its way over there...

I like the look of the first base tank in the stripes. I won't buy it though because a) I tire of stripes and b) First Base will never get chosen over a CRB. I bought some first base last year and ended up returning them. I did find them comfortable though. Later, when they moved to wmtm I was even happier I had returned them and still didn't buy out of wmtm.

@ 5:57 PM, sometimes reviews do take a few days to get uploaded. I'd give it a few and then try again. If it says you already posted a review (but you can't see it) then something is definitely up. They are usually pretty good at publishing all reviews, positive or negative.

Anonymous said...

what happened to the WMTM upload this week? did they just not do one?

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:15 am - not yet. I was looking for it, too.

The plum Energy bra is so pretty. I had taken off the tags when it arrived because I knew I wanted to keep it. Sadly, I didn't try it on first because I assumed it would fit like every other Energy bra has. It is smaller than my other ones, but I am hell bent on wearing it because it is so cute, and there are no more the next size up online or in my stores. It takes a little wrangling and manual boob placement, but I'm making it work (although, I do have a little cleavage peaking out the top!) Sorry about your tale of woe, Anon@12:33. And yes, consistent sizing is definitely a quality issue that should be first and foremost! (As well as pants that aren't sheer!)

Anonymous said...

Ha ha! We are all looking for the same thing! I too was looking for the WMTM!

Anonymous said...

Where are all the new colors in the NLT?? Especially the all plum one??? Did I miss them already on the US website? Are they only in stores? Would appreciate any info as I'm dying for the all plum one but can't get to a store anytime soon. :-(

Anonymous said...

Getting really tired of staying up till 10:45 on Mondays and Wednesdays to have nothing uploaded..

Anonymous said...

i actually put my plum energy bra on top of the green one that came out this past spring and I didn't notice a difference they were both identical. I will try i on with the tags and see how it fits. My iris print one fit perfectly and I have been wearing that one a lot. I run in the energy and I am busty 34D sometimes DD.
I usually wear the 6 which fits great.

Sandra said...

Maybe you are right but I wear a 6 in all 4 way speeds because the 8 is way too big and makes me look like I poo'd my pants... I have no hips and am normally a size 4 but I had a baby 5 months ago but even then I have no hips and a boyish shape so I can't imagine some one who is a 6 and has any sort of hips or booty fitting in the speeds I got.

Anonymous said...

WMTM went from 33 to 45 products (at least on US side) yesterday afternoon...all were "previous players" and were gone within hours

Anonymous said...

Still no wmtm upload??? Do they skip it some weeks?

Anonymous said...

anon @ 12:13,

if it makes you feel any better, I had the same problem with my plum (and midnight iris) energy bra. since I couldn't return the plum but loved the color so much I just went and bought a size up too, but then when I actually wore the size up to workout it was just too big and cut all wrong for me. my regular size one while being noticeably smaller and tighter as you said, ends up being perfectly comfortable and normal once I have had it on for a bit and start to sweat.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone seen the one for om leotard in stores?? Try on reports? Pictures? I'm dying to know!

Anonymous said...

I was waiting for the WMTM too, but there is quite a bit of tanks and pants on there at the moment so maybe they are waiting till more sells.
I received my Cornflower blue CYB tank and I LOVE IT! I went with my normal NLT size 4 and it fits TTS but actually way more comfy, bra feels supportive enough and the neck back strap doesnt dig in like the NLT does.
I wouldn't size up it would have been way too roomy.
On the not so good new Selling my size 2 WU herringbone as they are way too snug.

To the people that ordered right after the upload on Monday - did you get a confirmation email & does your order show in your profile? I used paypal & lulu took my money, but no record of my order & if it went through.

I also just got an order from last week - I ordered the full-on luon WUP & they sent me regular luon. So annoying. Now I have to drive 45 mins to the store to return them & get attitude from the eduacators.

Buying a pair of pants should not be this hard! I had to try on about 10 pairs at the store, none of them were right, so I ended up ordering online. I am seriously considering ordering a pair of the new leggings from Athleta. I got the catalog yesterday & they look very nice. The great thing is you can even wear them & still return them for free. I always feel so stressed buying lulu online because I have to know I can plan a time to drive to the store within 2 weeks. Sorry rant over!

@ anon 12:33 my plum energy bra also had size 2 cups even though it was a size "4" - it was a little hard for me to breath in it - energy and free to be are my favorite styles so i have tons - the plum energy is def smaller - it is a gorgeous color though

It's after lunchtime here on the east coast, no WMTM yet.

Maybe they aren't putting out items on WMTM because of the Warehouse sale this weekend. Are you going LLA? I'm still undecided. I'm not sure it's worth fighting traffic on a Friday from the OC. Maybe I'll go on Saturday.

OMGeeeee!!! WMTM is making me so mad/inpatient! I look forward to waking up on Thursdays (if it doesn't post late on Wed) just to see what goodies I can justify purchasing mostly because they are on sale. Lulu, you are ruining my Thursday. I have the stupid WMTM page open and keep refreshing it about every half hour in the hopes that the new stuff posts. Stop teasing me Lulu! It's not nice.

Anonymous said...

I've been finding I need to size down in the energy bras including plum. I'm usually an 8, and I'm loving the 6. I think lulu has changed the sizes to be larger recently.

Anonymous said...

They have ruined the speed shorts! What happened to the inner lining band where the liner meets the shorts! No give in the stitching/material! Bummer because they were really cute but there is no way I can get mobility in the hips while running.

My order came in today. Here's my try on report.

Hyper stripe angel wing speed shorts...can't even tell they have reflective. They are kinda tight pulling up between the waist band and the short if that makes sense. There is no real "give" compared to my sea check shorts which is the most recent pair I've got. They feel fine when in. They are very cute.

The black stripe one...WOW absolutely NO give when pulling them up. They feel fine on and if I sized up to a 6 they would be too big in the waist since the 4 is already kinda big. I want to keep them because they are adorable but I definitely couldn't do any type of squatting workout in them. They would be more for casual run around shorts. I am a size 4 in lulu size 0 in street clothes for those wondering about the shorts. I know someone said they would fit a 4 and while they fit. They are tight going up.

My hyper stripe energy bra is about a half inch shorter width wise from my polka dot energy bra. I tried it on and it feels a little "snugger" but I almost prefer that feeling. I have as much room to move before I feel it start to dig as I do in my polka dot one which are both size 4s. I'm a 32B/34A in regular bras for those looking to compare. The stripes are dark soot whereas the speeds are a very light soot color.

The rulu vinyasa scarf....one word: AMAZING. Mine is the black with grey stripe. I remember seeing vinyasa scarves last time around holiday and they were fraying on the ends and just all around crappy looking (no offense to those who has one and loves it) so I was kinda turned off on spending so much of a scarf if the quality wasn't good. I heard people raving on here about rulu so I decided to give it a go. It feels so soft and when I have it on it doesn't feel heavy or bulky. I definitely thought I would be returning it but I am going to keep it! I think it's definitely worth the money and the color is so great because you could easily wear it with street wear. I thought I was going to want the angel wing version but I think for me the black will be more versatile.

I also got the angel wing hyper stripe fly away tamer. I like it but even if I didn't I'm stuck with it ;)

To sum things up...I will most definitely be keeping the scarf. Up in the air about the black speeds and kinda about the angel wing speeds. I think I will keep tags on the energy bra for 2 weeks to see if a flow y comes out in the angel wing hyper stripe pattern instead.

When I laid my plum energy bra (sz 6) on top of my sz 6 Power Purple Energy Bra there was about a 1 inch difference in the band. It was definitely tighter but still was ok to wear. Even though it was a size 6, it came with size 4 cups.

@ 6:16 AM

How do you know that Lulu is pretty good at publishing all reviews? I've been posting reviews to the site for years and about 8/10 get uploaded. The positive reviews are never the ones that get lost. That's my experience.

@9:41 am

I oredered on the Canadian side immediately after the upload on Monday. Also paid with PayPal. Got my order confirmation right away and it showed up in my Lulu account when I signed in.

It sounds like you live in the US though, since you can order from Athleta. If we had Athleta in Canada, I think it would cut my Lulu spending by half. I have heard about the great service and return policies.

Too bad you have had such bad luck getting your Full-On WUP. 10 pairs tried in store and still not right. That is horrendous!

OT - I got a PN from a Toronto area store today showing the Right as Rain jacket in Dune. Looks like that color is back. Anyone see any women's items in Pigment Blue yet? I saw one of the mats and some men's stuff only.

Anonymous said...

I know many will look forward to this- the Santa Fe PN for this week has speed shorts in quiet stripe. I have the email with a photo. Black waistband and white short with black stripes.

Anonymous said...

2:41, I have written both positive and negative reviews for years and also made comments on other reviews. Every single review and comment has been published. If you read reviews for any given item, sometimes they are overwhelmingly negative and they still publish them. That has helped me decide if I will buy or not. Case in point, current Run For Your Life Crop: no thanks. When a particular tank (forget the name) from not too long ago showed way too much side boob, when items have continued to be sheer, or a yoga mat sucks, and customers are as candid as: "don't buy it, don't waste your money, I didn't listen and I regret it" their reviews got published.

LLL's approach seems to be: here are the real customer experiences/reviews, read and decide for yourself and buyer beware!

If you feel you're being "censored" then by all means, call them on it.

New WMTM items were uploaded sporadically with a bigger upload on Wednesday mid-morning? I checked Wednesday around 1:00pm eastern time and there were quite a few items. Same thing last week as well I think. Last week I was able to purchase the rasp glow speed shorts on Tuesday, mid morning.

Anonymous said...

OT - for anyone who bought the herringbone wup did you size up or stay tts? I'm having a hard time trying to decide on a sz. I have both a 6 and 8. 6 is my normal size but they feel a bit tighter around the waist. I dont want muffin top.The 8 is a bit looser but I'm worried they will stretch and I will be constantly pulling them up. Do these pants stretch at all with wear?thanks!

@9:41am: the same thing happened to me back when the Full On Wunder Unders first came out. I ordered and they sent me regular luon! So frustrating because I live 2 hours away from the nearest store. And when I called about it they told me I must have ordered regular without realizing..nope, have the confirmation order to prove it too. Definitely frustrating.

Anonymous said...

I was the one downunder who commented initially about the plum energy bra looking like a 2 but labelled as a 4. Thank you soooo much for all of you who also commented on this site about your experiences with the sizing on this bra and the different fits. LLA this is a very important site indeed for us all to unite and share. Love your work. And to the person holding onto the hyperstripe energy bra that sized smaller waiting on a flow y in the same colour. They uploaded these to the NZ site this week, so theyre coming your way soon:)

Anonymous said...

One of my stores got the hyper stripe angel wing energy bra in so I went to try it on. The 6 matched up perfectly with my 4 mod dots one. I said something to the educator and she goes "well, it happens with different styles" gurl its the same style 0.o just a diff pattern!

Looking for feedback on previous versions of Lulu leg warmers, do they usually fall down??? I just got my 1st pair from this week's upload, and I spent about 30minutes figuring out a way to make sure they stayed put! They are beautiful, but I was expecting better compression. I'm debating whether to keep or not, how often do they get uploaded each year? Got them in all black.

Anonymous said...

Hi, just wondering what service you use to buy/ship from the US? I'm also from Aus and getting so frustrated at not being able to buy lots of items here...as lulu isn't selling them here in a size 2...but is selling them in the US in a size 2

Anonymous said...

Flow y bras in angel stripe were in Chicago stores today along with energy bras and power ys in same print!

Anonymous said...

@7:11 I had a feeling this was not an isolated incident. It clearly states on my online order history that it was full-on luon pants, but on the packing slip it just says regular WUP. I bet they think that most people won't know that the full-on luon have a different tag. I actually have a pair of the full-on luon that I bought at the store (a size smaller) and as soon as I opened the package I could tell these were not the same material. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should keep the smaller size, try to get a bigger size of the f-o luon or just return everything & give up. I am so bummed b/c I live in my old black WUC & wanted a pair of WUP for an upcoming trip. It shouldn't be this hard to get one of lulu's staple items!

Anonymous said...

Hey its downunder again, to the annon in Aus asking what service I use to forward product to NZ, its called Reship, based in Portland. Its expensive to ship though but if your getting 2 or 3 items at a time its works out about the same as buying it downunder because of the exchange rate. Cheap as chips to set up and I've found it to be great:) hope this helps. Yes lulu, when you cut us off theres more than one way to skin a cat:)

Anonymous said...

For those that are talking about the variance of sizes in the same garment, I have had that same problem as well with other lulu items. In fact, it's always been an issue with most clothing manufacturers. When clothing is being manufactured layers upon layers of fabrics are laid out flat and a cutting machine comes down and cuts all the layers simultaneously. It stands to reason that the pieces would be different, especially on stretch fabrics.

Many times I will take more than one of the same size into the dressing room at a time and find the one that fits the best. In my lulu stores they rarely have more than one item in the same size out on the floor so it's almost impossible to do this. One time I was buying two different colors of the same pants and the fit was better on one than the other.

It is a quality control issue, once again.
