NEW! Suns Out Guns Out Vest, New Black Speed Shorts, and More

The new Angel Wing Full Tilt LS is modeled with a new vest called the Sun's Out Guns Out Vest. Also shown are new Black Striped Speed Shorts.

Inkwell Shake and Break Shorts with a Stuff Your Bra Tank.

The Plum/Raspberry Glo No Limit Tank and Black Ziggy Wee Will Pants.

The Black Ruffled Up Cool Racerback with a Fast Cat skirt.

Another view of the Angel Wing Pow Stripe Scuba. Such a pretty Scuba but I could never keep it clean.

Re: Rest Less Tank.... LOVE IT! I am a slim 32dd and can't wear NLT tanks because the thin straps cut in and my boobs hang out a little too much:( However, this tank contains them well and the straps are comfy too:) This tank is definitely worth a try for busty ladies too;) I can wear a light support bra under it for added support ( running) and it hides it not looking like you have a million straps going on. If you are doing Yoga, Pilates, weight traing you could not wear a bra and support would be fine IMO. Did anybody recieve their WU coal black texture pants yet? Are they atleast thicker/ warmer than regular WU pants. I returned the piqué wills because I did not like how loose the ankle area was... I know you think I'm crazy;) BUT I am still needing a "warm" pair of leggings for my Minnesota winter ahead.

I thought I had heard a hint recently about possibly an inkwell camo print for shorts coming out soon. Have you heard any rumors about that?
I'm doing a military-benefit race and would love to get a pair if lulu is gonna make them!

Lulu changed their bra cups again. This time for the better. The new energy bra I just bought has thicker cups that don't dimple AND they are labeled left and right with an arrow to point which way goes up.

The inkwell shake and break shorts look awesome on her! I had to send mine back....but she makes me want to try them again!

Thank you Anon 7:04 for the improved cup post!

Just returned from a victorious trip to the mall. Banana Republic is having a 35% off entire purchase for Banana card holders. I scored two pairs of shorts (one cotton, one cotton linen)for 7 bucks! The total after discounts was 27 and change (tax included), and then I had a 20$ rewards card. I love a good deal.

Then I went to Lulu. I snarfed up one of the last 2 pairs of plum Speed shorts in size 4. They are 4way stretch. The sales clerk who rang me up said they had just put them out yesterday.

I tried on the Cosy Speed tights. Absolutely loved them, nice and compressive, not sheer at all (I shined my cell phone on the flashlight app on my butt because the lighting in those dressing rooms is so dim), bent over and saw--nothing! It takes me so much longer to try clothes on at Lulu these days because I'm standing with my butt in all kinds of pushed out positions, shining my phone on my butt, etc., etc. so that I don't become a wardrobe malfunction victim. Gone are the days when I could just run into Lulu and run out.

Unfortunately, the Speed tights run pretty darn long, so I didn't get (cannot hem them because of the ruching). Tried on the ruffled WU's. They were cute, but not as good coverage in the butt. They run much shorter than I thought they would.

I have to say that the Restless tank looks much better on and in real life than online. I couldn't get the back straps to lay flat on my back. I'm no hunchback, but I am pretty darn short, so that might have been the problem. The NLT in plum and inkwell is sooo cute and looked better on me than the Restless. It's so darn long, though, I could wear it as a hoochie mini dress. So I passed on that as well.

Lots of stuff on the sales rack, but I didn't need anything.

I did try on the plum long sleeve swiftly, it is lovely and feels fairly substantial. Also tried on the Fast Track SS shirt (although, it was too late since I ordered it on WMTM last night). I breathed a sigh of relief that it was TTS (I had already ordered my regular 4 in black). The black is actually really cute, and it looks nice with the plum Speed shorts.

I made a stop into the Ivivva store. A commenter on this lovely blog alerted us that they had the Rulu scarves in a tweed print there. I got one of those. It's so nice and cosy and soft! I'm small (5' 102#), so the regular scarves at Lulu kind of swallow and swaddle me, so this scarf was a great alternative. it was $32, and I can loop it around my neck twice.

Anyways, the new fall stuff is nice! And there are some good deals to be had at Lulu right now. Good luck to all you addicts out there!

LLA - did those black striped speeds appear at a Canadian or US store? need them! thanks :)

It's strange that they're coming out with a vest called suns out guns out now that its fall....seems more like a spring/beginning of summer name. Wonder if these got held up on production?

just tried on the WUC in the ziggy grey and the WU in pique. both are nice, but not something i would wear so i did not buy either. i tried both in a 6 (tts) - the bum stretches on me more than it might on other people, but 8s are generally too baggy in the waist and calf.

WUCs seemed opaque, but i'd get a second opinion. fabric weight was good, definitely something i'd seem wearing in "crop" weather and maybe a little colder with boots and a longer sweater.

WUs were more compressive than the WUCs. the fabric is definitely thicker in the pique than the ziggy.

yesterday i tried the speed tights in both the cozy and the lux. i liked the cozy better, but both were not super-flattering on me. i much prefer my ice queen tights from last year, which are a bit more compressive, but maybe a bit warmer too.

does anyone use the thigh pockets?

I just got my order, the pique wundet unders are perfectly soft and warm, I will be the wierdo wearing them inside out on the stripe side. The WAFS speed tights fit nice, they don't have the netting on the leg. And I also got the white ruffle crb which is super cute, I might need to size down, I think it will look great with skirts! Its definitely niy as fitted or stretchy as normal crbs's but its fitted cute.

Heading to the store to return We are from space speed tights, They are not sheer standing up, however i can see my underwear doing a squat, where the fabric stretches and that is part of my workouts. GEEZ. such a cute pattern, but i am not dropping that much $$$ to flash the world!

Wunder under pants in black deep coal/pique are not sheer at all to those wondering :)

Anon 12:41, I know those striped black Speeds are in Chicago.

Anonymous said...

Are the WUs that reverse to stripes only the mini check looking ones or the herringbone also?

Anonymous said...

did we ever see the inkwell inspires online?? i don't remember seeing them - but i could have missed them.

@anon 2:03pm I love the thigh pockets on the speed tights and ordered them because of that! My phone doesn't fit in the back zipper pockets and I hate carrying. I have the mod moves crops with the same pockets and they're a life saver for me (I haven't had any issues with the seams as some people have).
I picked up the can't stop jacket in plum yesterday and I really love it, too warm to wear it yet but the fabric and fit is so nice! It's a small zipper and I found it sticks a bit so I'm really hoping it's not a problem (haven't taken the tags off yet).

They're at us store now.

Are the piqué WU's soft?
Thanks:)

3crazykids - you're kidding! I'm in Chicago - which store? I was just at Halsted last night and nada... thanks so much!!!

I bought the black WUP with ruffles today. I had a hard time choosing between plum and black but ultimately went with black because I always go with black. Deep sigh.

I am only 5'2" and they barely came to my ankles. I have to imagine they are almost crops on some of you taller ladies.

The black was more opaque than the plum, but the plum was so cute!

I saw those black stripe speed shorts and they are 2-way stretch and ugly.

The name of the vest "suns out guns out" works better for the Australian market where it is now springtime.

I agree! The new cup change is so much better! The last cup change was terrible!

i went into my store today. i LOVE the Rest Less Tank and it is flying off the shelves at my store. i also picked up the plum Groovy Shorts and the Run Inspires in the black/midnight iris. my store didn't get the WAFS speed tights. since it isn't anywhere close to being tight season here yet, i'm hoping they have some new cute prints that my store will get.

my store is a warm-weather store, so they don't get a lot of the jackets or heavier items. they make get some later in the season, but right now only have the lighter jackets.

i am really hoping for a Midnight Iris Groovy Short. i almost bought the pace setter in that print, but i'd rather have shorts.

the new black striped Speed Shorts are cute. and the Angel Wing Full Tilt is also selling well at my store (even though it's still hotter than Hades here).

Or it could mean "suns out" like "lights out" meaning it gets darker soon or beginning of fall winter. Guns out because the vest has no sleeves and the "guns" aka biceps are out...

Anon 3:17- I don't think the Inkwell Inspires have been uploaded to the US side. I did notice them on the Canadian side a couple weeks ago. I do know some of the US stores got some since my Mom picked up a pair for mean out 3 weeks ago! If they are uploaded, I have found them to be really opaque-I am between 4 and 6 and she got me a 4 which was perfect.

The US didn't get the inkwell inspires online like Canada did. I saw them in my store a few weeks ago and didn't buy! Now I regret but I just don't like dealing with returns @ LLL they always seemed pissed off or say "I can't believe you're returning these"! You'd think they were on commission or selling high priced Jewelry not wanting to take returns. I drop thousands $$$ they shouldn't give attitude. Does anyone else feel guilty about return merchandise to LLL?

I tried on the cozy speed tights in black, and they are ever so slightly sheer in a deep bend... I picked them up anyways :( They're definitely nice and opaque while standing. I was wearing black underwear with white polka dots, and I could definitely see some faint dots. I should have worn something brighter underneath to compare :( However I really need these because I've just taken up running and I freeze up extremely easily during winter! I should have tried sizing up to an 8 but unfortunately I was in a rush. Gotta think about these for sure.

Picked up the pique and herringbone WUPs, and happy to report no sheerness at all! Very nice and thick. Also got the plum swiftly LS, and it's such an awesome colour and the fabric feels lovely! Haven't taken it out on a run yet, so let's see if it snags... I've been using my black swiftly LS for ball hockey, and surprisingly no snags after several weeks.

I just got my PN email... two things I didn't see online: plum/ziggy wee september plum WUP (not WUC, not ruffle) and ITF crop II in heathered cornflower.

Disposable Income Girl said...

My Glo Ziggy WUC were SO sheer. It was shocking... like paper thin. Didn't even make it to the try on room.

Bummed I didn't jump on the pique WU train. I could have enjoyed them as a layering piece for skiing. Oh well.. I do have the herringbone from last year.

Thanks you 3crazykids!!! I found them in chitown- woot woot- appreciate the tip :)

Apparently inkwell Inspires came and went in hours -- at the stores too. I never saw them. I just did a review of the Rest Less Tank-- I liked it a lot but it had the back fat problem for me with the mesh panels, especially in the grey/white color. I'm interested to see if others had this experience because it is usually not a problem. Otherwise the tank is perfect.

I bought the pique Skinny Wills but am now wishing I waited for the Herringbone because I have pique WUC and Runders from last year! I got them hemmed so too late. The Plum Skinny Wils were gorgeous too. I was lusting after them.

Just scored a Fast Track Tank in groovy strip nimbus on WMTM. Also got Track to Reality pants in Inkwell. These seem practical for winter.

Has anyone tried the Inkwell CRB? I wish they would just come out with a plain inkwell CRB instead of the ziggy wee august version. Not loving it.

Oh and I returned my Midnight Iris Forme--decidde it was too thin and didn't have any compression or a nice fit. They let me return it without a receipt for store credit!

One more thing--it was a big purchase week for me -- I picked up the RFYL crops in the Inkwell/Plum stripe. SO cute but the reviews were terrible on the quality. Has anyone had problems with these before I take off the tags?

I am intrigued by the Suns Out Guns Out Vest… but it is simply one of lululemon's ways to repurpose unsold product.

Anonymous said...

I feel like some people are annoyed with Lulu's attempt to recycle old items into something new. I, personally, appreciate them for recycling old product to turn it into something new and fresh instead of letting the old stuff go to waste! I think that is actually pretty cool!

Went to store for a return and try on report.

WUP darker pique. Exactly like herringbone brom last year. Material is like RULU, soft, thick and opaque. I have the pants from last years version. I bought these as I want to hem them into a crop. Has anyone here done that before? Hemmed a WUP into WUC?

CRB stripe inkwell/plum/blue/sizzle. I had one from the last online order but stripe placement is better, so I bought this and will retun the other one.

WUP ruffles with zipper at ankles. They were cute. I though they would be too long but they fit me just right - 5'3" 115lbs. I love both and hesitated getting both colors Plum and Black. The we're more opaque than before pantsgate. The plum was very cute but slightly more sheer.

Fluffin Vest - it's defective. The zipper is cheap and I nearly got stuck in the vest 3 times. Tried on the 2 grays and cream color, and all three I had a hard time getting the zipper to come off. They are small and defective. Cute vest though. Fits snug, can size up if you want to layer anything more than a swiftly.

Swifly LS in Plum - this is very cute more like a Tonka Stripe. Not solid. But the strange thing is that there are different batches and the fit is different even same size. I normally don't try on multiples but the first one had a snag, the second one was not as thick and compressive, third one had a dye stain but thicker and forth one was thin. So there were 2 thin ones and 2 thicker ones (like the rasp glo). I didn't get any.

@8:06pm. Hi. I am mainly an online purchaser and go to west Edmonton Mall to return. I have not had any troubles there and I find the staff there always awesome and fun! Lulu should do undercover boss in some of their stores!

I agree with you 10:21 I think it's nice when they bring older styles back even if they have small changes. I would love to see more older stuff coming back.

@anon 7:21 - nice try, but the phrase "sun's out, guns out" wasn't invented by lulu. it's a sterotypical guido phrase specifically referring to springtime weather, and the transition from wearing long sleeves to short sleeves. i don't think these are re-invented pieces of product. i think these vests were meant to be released months ago and something happened - both because the colors are months old, and the name is a spring name
