My Lululemon Warehouse Sale Haul (Updated)

Lulu Warehouse sale is really an Urban Radish haul, lol.
I am posting this totally tongue in cheek. I was planning to go to the warehouse sale until the Convention Center parking attendant told me the wait was FIVE HOURS long. Five hours for a bunch of lulu at meh prices (as someone pointed out on the warehouse FB page, the stores have better deals) I already passed on once didn't make sense so I ended up bailing and having coffee (hipster central!) with a friend who lives in downtown.  I didn't get to the Convention Center until 10 am but am reading comments from the Warehouse Sale FB page where people who were in line at 8:30 am didn't get into the shopping area until 1:30 pm. The Warehouse Twitter page totally miscalculated or misrepresented the wait times at three hours all this morning. I know people who got in line early at 5 or 6 am (heard first person in line arrived at 2:30 am - hope he came armed and wore body armor) and were in the doors right away shortly before 8 am felt they got some good deals but I was looking for LS Swiftlys (none), Ta Ta Tamers (none), Energy bras (none), and Runbeam LS (none) so it was good I decided not to go. Sale Speed Shorts and CRBs were very rare. I heard there were some Coco pique Daily Jackets, Bundle Up Jackets, lots of colored crops, tons of Devotion LS and SS, only pink or Faded Zap Scubas, some leftover Sea Wheeze 2012 items.

Did you go? What did you get? Would you do it again?

1st day sale prices

Thanks to Ms. C. for the photo.

The Define is a nice score.

Report from the Warehouse FB page

Just bags discounted today.
The black Grooves were a score.
Some photos of bottoms from today's warehouse sale. I hope you all didn't buy this stuff. Those Bleached Coral pants were see through as were most all that I can see on the rack. I am reading people got Alberta Lake DSPs but those were marked down pretty low at my store's sale rack. I was reading the line was 4-5 hours long again this morning, however if you go in line around 6 am you got in right away.

LOL, LLA! I absolutely love your "Lulu" haul! I just bought a couple of those spatula type thingies at Sur Le Table, and I love them! I have a fond predilection for silicone kitchen gadgets! You will get a lot of use out of those jar spoons!

I went and I got there at 630 am and got in by 830 am! It wasn't bad. I found lots iof cute things, spent 320.00 and I got a rain poncho, jacket, rulu long sleeve with zip pocket in back, black navy blue bonded wunder unders, coral ebb and flow crops, 4 headbands, 2 thongs, 1 large duffel, and a coral rash guard. All that for only 320.00.

WOW, 5 hours!!! I think that might be more nuts than the Vancouver WHS back in January - on the second day of the sale, I only waited about 20 minutes in line, and on the third day there was no line at all. The prices weren't amazing, and neither was the selection (probably would have been a lot nicer on the first day) but I still scored some pretty decent stuff. I think my boyfriend had better luck than I did actually! I was disappointed that there were no mats or bras on sale at all :(

Oh and I forgot I got a mat strap too. Btw I got an extra 10 percent off everything by they shouted out to the next 150 in line you get n extra 10 percent off :)

What an absolute ZOO. I would rather pay FULL PRICE any day for items i love, than spend 4-5 hours to get We Made Too Much 2nd rate clothing no one wanted in the 1st place. I live 20mins from there, and as soon as i checked Instagram early in the morning today, it was a definite NO. I checked the prices of the markdowns, and they aren't even that marked down to make it worth it. I'm glad i didn't go, my time is valuable.

i got there at 9:00 and saw the line and left. i wish the parking guy would have told me before i paid for parking. it took an hour and a half to drive there, too. went to the lululemon store at the americana in glendale. sooo much better what they have now in the stores

I'm reading they are discounting prices now.

Also reading the wait is more like an hour now.

Wow so glad I spent my warehouse sale budget on a new pair of Nikes and some upload items this week instead of going to the sale! I don't have much "fall" lulu so I'd much rather spend my money on fall lulu over this. But I am happy for those that braved the lines and found good deals/pieces they love!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 4:23 pm - I am liking the fall line a lot, too, and am hoping/anticipating the winter stuff is equally nice so not too broken up to miss the sale. I would have liked to go earlier but just couldn't make it happen today.

I went this morning, waited 4 hours to get in, and was really disappointed by what was there. The top item I wanted was bras - I was hoping for some Free to Be, Flow Y or Energy bras. There were none, just a few of those Run Sprint bras that only work if you are a less than A cup. I guess I can say I survived a Lulu warehouse sale, but that's about it. I wouldn't recommend anyone go out of their way for this.

Disappointed I wasn't offered the extra 10 percent off. I was #4 in line and arrived at 4:15. They are exxagerating the 2:30am person. All 4 of us that were the first four plus one more group behind us arrived at essentially the same time--4:15. Parking didn't open til 4;20. For being amongst the first in line, we merely got an orange sticker that entitled us to a surprise "Free gift" IF and ONLY IF we were in the check out line by 8:30! The free gift turned out to be 3 thin strappy headbands. It was rather disappointing. Also, the prices were not much of a bargain---in some cases they were merely mimicking the prices of the products found in WMTM. The selection was pretty heavily concentrated on 6, 8 and 10's. I heard 2's and 12's frustrated. The staff had no clue where accessories, ie headbands/purses were located, and if there were any. I asked at least 10 of them before I found the bags by the entrance by myself and a fellow lulushopper advised me the headbands (mostly thin strappies and really thick headbands) were near checkout. The restocking was getting in the way of shopping and moving around. It was too tight and narrow. Lulu should've rented a bigger floor space so we could walk around with more space and breathing room between us. The staff has eyes of bewilderment. Most o the colors and patterns were bold, bright, neon, and rather hideous rejects. A few cute items such as the what the fluff jacket was avail. in some sizes. A few light neon greenish-yellow scubas were scattered in. Only a few speed shorts and bad colors. Bras were horrible selection--no energy or flow y. I purchased some items but was not impressed. It was a "fun" experience but won't do it again. Not worth the very meager "Savings" or the poor selection. For most of this stuff, as it truly is the reject colors and styles, prices should've been at least half of the price that they were. As I left around 8:30, I scanned the lines and was saddened for people that would be waiting for HOURS.

@ anon 5:18 pm - thanks for the recap!! Super interesting. In the photos the spacing does look very cramped.

I'm so disappointed by Lululemon lately !!!

Anonymous said...

My pleasure, you're welcome. . . No one seemed completely devastated, but rather, shoppers seemed disappointed that the colors were the complete rejects for THAT high of a price. All in all, I am glad to have done it just to satisfy my curiosity and to prove to myself once again that lulu beats to its own drum. More details as I remember them: there was a plethora of neon crops (running styles), some studio jackets in a very shiny/sheeny black color, a sm selection of the brigh colored fast track tanks, some socks, some swimsuit pieces, some green and pink ebb and flow crops, creme please me pullovers, creme what the fluff jackets, tame me tanks, creme studio pants, pale colored speed shorts, black bags and pale neon bags, VERY LIMITED amount of yoga mats, lots of weird colors of yoga straps, white caps, black toques, bonded stripe wunder under crops, blue and white striped wunder under crops, etc. DIdn't see any swiftlies, CRBS, a smidge (if any) of black, grey or other nice basic solid color items, etc. Lots of loose flowy sweat pants of various names that were unmemorable. Mint/black striped long sleeve shirts from last winter, power y tank in a wee are from space stripe (i think that's what it's called?). And a $9 special on a blue (in stride?) or other luon hoodie that has bold blue and white stripes on the arms. . Love your blog, LLA! Thank you!

I went this AM, in line at 0550 and there were about 75 people ahead of me. The first people in line got there at 0330. I knew I wouldn't find much, I really just wanted accessories like another black yoga duffle. The first maybe 100 got special red stickers which entitled us to score black headbands at checkout; a bundle of 3 to be exact. The prices as you saw were"MEH" and so was the selection. I shopped for literally 15 mins. Because I had in mind what I wanted. i can post the few items I bought. But the experience was alright since I was part of first 100 people in. The sales rack at local store would have produced a better trip.

I am glad to say it was a much more pleasant experience last weekend at the warehouse sale in Melbourne Australia. We got there early at 8.30am when open time was 10am, in a way capping the wait time to 1.5 hours. There was no gift for being second in line but we did score 20 items including 3 Ta Ta Tamer bras, charcoal WU crop, RUn for your life crop, Swiftly SS, Astro pants, Paddington soft shell plus 8 other men's items and accessories.

I went yesterday to the private sale, wasn't really impressed with the selection since its all leftovers. I ended up going to my local store.

I purchased the ebb & flow racer back tank online but at my local store it's the ebb to street tank. Interesting why they are different.

I live close by, parked at $5 lot nearby. got there at 730, in at 1030. People coming in just 30 min later added hours to their wait time. I rec scanning racks in your size then sorting at the tables that are on your rh side when u walk in. They restock from that side so you can see go backs and the new racks being rolled out. Some people would mob these racks and pull things from their hangers as they were being moved.

I remember seeing a decent amnt of the following:st moritz jackets in cream and black, get up and glow jackets, bundle up jackets, ice queen pants, inkwell forme pants, runder unders. So so so many everyday gym bags in cream/black. Swimsuits discounted to 9. Every so often, they encouraged shoppers to checkout (and make room for those waiting) by offering 10% off purchase to next x number of ppl to get in checkout line.

Took home the what the fluff jacket in cream for $48. Friend got grey crosshatch method bag, among other things. I would do it again, but might wait til later in the day, and just stalk the restock racks. Having a free morning and good company made it worth it to me. NOT worth booking a hotel room, driving an hour, bringing babies, hiring sitter, for.

OMG that's the hideous daily yoga jacket with the clown striped sleeves - can't believe they were still trying to sell those. Even though it was $9, I wouldn't even pay that, it was so ugly.

I fully agree with the comments from first four in line...I arrived at 5:15 a.m. and was around 28th in line. I am a size 2 and the pickings were not good...ugly colors. The only real finds for me being a runner was some full length Rulu run pants and Rulu run shirts. It was a real disappointment overall to spend all that time waiting to get sale rack prices vs. real true warehouse prices! I've been to several Splendid sales and they blow this away. WAY too pricey for selling last year sale rack items. I'm glad I went and definitely spent some $ but I wasn't impressed with the selection at all. Oh and the replenishments really aren't replenishments, after people throw their rejects down they have workers placing them back on racks and re-wheeling them out. Blah. I will confess that I went again tonight before they closed to see if the "replenishment" comments were true and they clearly are not truth. All the somewhat decent stuff was definitely snagged from the first shopping group. I guess the good news is that I made it home to drop my kids at school! Boo Lulu...you should definitely be more honest before having a "sale" like this again. Love Lulu so much and love this blog but this sale was a drag and I too felt bad for those waiting hours for nothing that good. Also make sure to check your receipt...I totaled my items at home and noticed I was overcharged for more than one item...ugh...

It was totally work it. I drove up from Orange County & arrived at 5:15 a.m. We were let in at 7:45. I bought:

WU Crop Herringbone
CRB We are From Space
Micro/Macro LS Devotion
Black OM Duffle Bag
Pique LS Reversible
Black Swan Forme Pants
3 Tech Panties
3 Featherweight Socks

Got some free headbands for being there early.

Parked out front. Didn't pay $15 bucks. Enjoyed myself. Was in/out and back home for a 10:30 Zumba Class @ Equinox Irvine.

Also, the gal didn't charge me for the OM Bag (saved $49 bucks) and I was only charged 29 cents for the CRB. I didn't find there errors until I arrived home.

I went to the Hamilton ON sale a few years ago. You have to get in line early (we went at 6am) if you want a chance of waiting for less than 4+ hours. If you were able to get out of there under an hour (they wrote the time you went in on your hand) you got an additional 20% off. That made it more than worth it.

Wow - thanks to all the ladies for the warehouse sale update. Sounds like all the sheer crops have gone there to die!

I went to the sale yesterday and after spending hours getting there and waiting in line I left with 4 items. I blogged a little about it, and I am going to write more about the experience later today ( after my coffee kicks in!). I would not go out of your way if you're looking for basic items. Just if you want to experience the craziness of it all!

That define jacket is a MAJOR score. Jealous

2 hours, 5 hours, that is all insane. Especially when there are no great items to be had, just mainly stuff that's been passed over and very "meh". I've had better luck on wmtm or at my local store. I waited an hour in line last year just to pay for my Sea Wheeze items and that's about as insane as I get (really, I still think it was ridiculous).

The last year of LLL has been mostly a disappointment (with the exception of a couple of jackets, speed shorts*, and certain CRB's). I like the colour scheme (plum) this year but I'm still cautious about what I purchase. So far only the Plum CRB and the Plum/Hyperstripe Run Full Tilt l/s.

* speed shorts. One pair I bought is the love red with blue details and summer b&w quilt. I really like them but thought they were a bit loud for me. Anyway, I receive many compliments on these shorts and my friends want them.

Can anyone comment on the men's selection? Considering dropping by on Sunday to pick up stuff for the hubs. Thanks in advance!

Anonymous said...

totally not worth it especially tomorrow. it's going to be completely picked through and i'm sure the morning line will still be ridiculously long (some people just don't realize they will be wasting their time waiting in line). time to move onto the next sale!

Anonymous said...

ok, i hear they put out everything they had mid-day today so there's nothing new being put out tomorrow. in other words, i bet it's all scraps left.

Anonymous said...

Anyone know the likelihood they will do this again in LA? Do they hold it in different cities every year?

I went on sunday 9/15 and they marked down items further. Nothing over $50. I got some pants (with luon) for 39 and two pairs of crops for 29. They also had $9 sweats. And the mens was 4 items for $100. Along with free headbands ( I really like free). Over all I am glad I went.

Went all 3 days and it was rad. Zero complaints and would absolutely do it again! Cheers!
