I got the pants and really like them, but I think whether they work on you or not and whether you have to size up really depends on your body type. I got my tts 4 and they fit very nicely despite reviewers advising sizing up; the waist is actually a little larger than I'd like it, but the rest fits almost perfectly. Inseam's also a little short (which is good, because I'm 5'2''...), so if you have long legs they'll probably fit like ankle pants.
Was at my local store earlier - saw a GEC trying on the Urbanite pants - looks good on her because she was tall and lean, but not so much on me, especially in the calves area which was too tight. Also saw a new Scuba - it's that white with thin black stripes (Angel wing??) It felt a lot softer and slightly longer than my last Scuba in plum/black and grey commuter. But I did not buy it since I have already purchased 5 Scubas in the last 2 months and it's still in the 80s where I live...cannot justify another one until I can start wearing them ;)
Really not loving the weird hem lines of the commuter henley. In certain photos it looks like she's wearing a diaper.
Ick is all I can say about the tops!!!!! fugly ugly what the hay are they thinking????? No way those are going to fly looks like they designers had a few too many cocktails and tried to design an item in 5 minutes- seriously bad bad bad!!!!
I love these pants but I was not able to get the black one...I agree with the top poster on the sizing...it's up to each's body type. I am pear but I don't need to size up from my regular 6...they fit nicely, not too snug not too loose. But if you want them fit differently, then size up. I didn't get a closer look on the jacket until now...They look rather nice on the back but somehow, I felt the front and the back should have belonged to 2 different pieces...LOL
What material is the jacket made of?
I think the pants fit exactly like last years (or the year before?) Super low rise in the front, which is fine for me, and higher in the back, which is not so fine for me since I don't have a booty to fill it in! What was the other pant they just had recently? All three are pretty much the same pant. None of them worked for me for the same exact reason but I really like the thickness and feel of the fabric....which is why I keep trying to make them work! On the right women they are adorable.BUT I was ready to throw down the cash for the jacket, which I thought was a cute sporty motorcyle-ish jacket until I saw the back! What the heck? Why does LLL put these Drum Major/military peplum tails in the back? So over designed. I'm surprised the didn't include epaulettes! One more thing....really, what is the reason for the shirttail in the front, buttoned to a rectangular back? What? (On the positive, I love my ebb to street tanks!)
saw the jacket in store today, tried it on, not for me. just too futuristic looking. I liked the front with the zipper and the collar, but the shoulders were kind of pointy. Also, when it was unzipped, it reminded me too much of a members only jacket. My store also had the pants and the henleys but I didn't try either.
Ick to all. Agreed, the jacket looked OK from the front and then I saw the back. I have enough jackets anyway.
I agree that the jacket is adorable and trendy from the front but overly trendy on the back and will look dated way too soon for the price. I'm also not a fan of the shirts with the buckle/snap looking contraptions on the side. I guess if you cycle for your commute they work but I don't so they would just be fashionable clothing which for me they are not! The shirt tail hem on the shirt is again too exagerated for my taste and I feel will quickly look dated. JMO! If you love it - ROCK IT!
