The Latest and Some Try On Reports

From Australia, the new Lab-inspired Trouse Pant. They are made of luon. Also shown is a new men's Five Year  Tee and Kahuna shorts.

More of the latest men's gear. I really like that Plum and Inkwell Five Year Tee.

Angel Wing Hyperstripe Forme Jacket. This photos better than it looks in person. I thought it was kind of dingy looking at the store. I tried on the Forme II jacket last night. I didn't have a ton of time to play with it but it does fit better than the previous version. However, it was large in the upper chest, from shoulder to armpit on  me. I didn't try sizing down, though. I tried on the Midnight Iris one and the material in that one still felt really thin to me.

The new Scoop Necks. I tried on the Midnight Iris one last night. The material felt thinner than full weight luon but I still liked the tank. My store didn't have the Inkwell Striped one, which I think I might order.

I tried on the Plum Cool Racerback, too. What a disappointment compared to the last batch of Cool Racerbacks. The material felt really thin. I'll have to think about keeping mine when it gets here. I think I prefer plum in long sleeve tops anyway.

I really liked the Journey crops. I thought they fit TTS and fit like Wunder Unders.

I thought the nice Asana fit TTS. The arms were super long and it's a long jacket. The material in the plum version felt nice and thick. The bottom hem and cuffs are ribbed so stretchy on the hips. I'm always a little leery of the ribbed material since I feel it gets pulls easily.

If I pay the shipping, will the Aussie guy on the bike come with the shirt?

I bought a 105 Singlet in Plum in size 8 and it is just too big for me - pretty annoying to keep pulling it up. It's been worn once - happy to sell it to someone via Paypal on the list if I can instead of ebay. Email me if interested.

my plum WUs arrived today. thankfully, I wouldn't call them sheer as in see-through. but I would call them thin. as in not compressive. I guess to explain the difference I'd say you can see the imprint/outline of the white tag, but not actual white or text from the tag like many other of the sheer pants show. at least you can't see my skin, so that makes me happy.

also got an 8 plum energy bra (I have maybe 10 of them in size 6) to compare with the 6 plum I got in store. the size 8 plum is almost exactly the same size as all my other 6 energies, just a little looser in the straps.

Thanks for sharing your try on info especially the plum CRB. I was thinking of trying to hunt it down at a store because I missed it in the upload but now I am not so interested if it is so thin. Is it just me or have you been finding the Made in Canada ones to be thicker?

I'm really liking the inkwell strip scoop neck but from judging from the pictures, it looks like its an item that's best to try on at the store so that you can choose the best stripe placement

Agree on the angel wing forme- looks fantastic on some but when I rushed to my store to try it on I was disappointed. Just looked kind of blah to me. Hope I'm not paying an arm and a leg for it on ebay a few months from now - haha! I really want to try the other new forme jacket in the big inkwell/split peas stripes. Just drawn to that pattern.

I don't think I like the Trouse Pant. From the knees up they look like baggy, oversized men's pants, but the legs look skinny/tapered. Are they yet another variation on harem pants?

If Lulu made trouser-style pants with a nicer cut, I'd probably buy them in every color.

@ Diana I had the same exact problem with the size 10 105F.

Has anyone heard anything about plum wunder unders (not the hi/low version, just a regular version) coming out at any point? Just curious.

I tried on and bought the Angel Wing Hyperstripe Forme Jacket... love it (can't believe I am saying this) - I did not think it looked dingy at all. Another woman was buying it as well. I am a Define lover but I actually like the fit of this jacket. I wear between a 4 and 6, 6 in Define so I bought a 6 in this. I almost bought the 4 but thought of layering. The arms are longer in the 6 so I will have to fold it up (just like I do for the Define). The fit seems slimmer then the Define but in a good way however I do like the shoulder stitching in the Define. I know I will wear this a lot!

The trouse pants look sloppy, like she's intentionally sagging her pants! Dislike!

I'm extremely tempted to order the angelwing forme jacket. I love the angelwing hyperstripe and I don't think it looks dingy (at least the angelwing hyperstripe tuck & flow l/s I tried wasn't dingy). I love the fit, its great for petite ladies but I already have the nimbus stripe. Decisions decisions!

OT: Can someone tell me if the stores are using Seawheeze shoppers? I saw someone carrying one today, but wasn't sure if she got it at Seawheeze or just in a Lulu store. Thanks!

I was already planning on returning my plum crb but now that I hear its thin its definitely going back. Thanks for the heads up!

@lulu designs - I think it just depends on that particular batch of fabric not where it's made. It's true, though, the last batch of made in canada CRBs were nice.

Anon@12:31, my store (Bellevue in WA) had the Seawheeze shoppers before Seawheeze happened. I was able to get one with a purchase there and also when I ordered online before Seawheeze, I got one in my order. I haven't seen any since the event. The patterns were really cute, I have a black one with a yogi in multicolored triangles and a tiffany blue one printed with Sasquatch, a mountie riding a whale, and a mermaid.

ANON 12:31 PM - Stores were using SeaWheeze shopper around July-ish.

@ Anon 12:31PM I got several of the Sea Wheeze totes at my local store (the teal green ones with the blue figures all over). I just looked and I ended up with 2 large ones, I'd be happy to send you one of the large ones if you want it for just the postage costs. Let me know.

Question about the Journey Crops, in every photo I've seen the mesh looks really sheer. Did you find this to be the case LLA?

I was in store today and tried on a a few things. I though the hi/low plum wunder unders were pretty awful, fairly sheer, zero compression and they fit weird in the crotch (it was almost like there was too much fabric in the front). Also tried the journey crops and really liked them from the back but would have preferred if there were all luxtreme, almost bought them but held out (I am looking for a good pair of crops for hot yoga though so might give in). The new in the flows in heathered black were also pretty sheer (I tried my TTS and they were loose in the waist and still sheer), no plum in stock. Only thing I left the store with was the pow stripe plum/inkwell CRB which was surprising since I didn't think I would like that pattern on.

when did US get Wunder Under Pant *High/Low in ziggy wee september black/black? i just saw them and they are sold out in 4/6 (the sizes that I would wear :(
And by the way - why are Skinny Will Pant *Pique still available in all sizes (i though pique is very popular) -- did anyone get them/are they bad? I ordered them in the early morning of the upload...but as i live on east coast i will only get them next wednesday

I purchased the hyper stripe angel wing forme LOVE IT!!! They were selling like hot cakes at my store, such a pretty neutral jacket. I will wear it a ton:) Another Love it piece u for is the Sieze the day jacket in Dune, way cuter in person and very versitile, oh I sized down to a size 2 because it has stretch. Worth a try on ladies;) I also picked up the plum, split pea scoopneck and it is beautiful with my inkwell inspires. On the fence with the plum fluffin vest, tts 4 is snug in the chest and size up 6 is kinda puffy looking:( Damn it! I love this color and want it to work. I am waiting on my plum WUP and crossing fingers they work in my tts 4 since they are sold out.

Just received the pique Will pants, and have to say they are awesome. Soft as anything! Coverage is pretty good as well. Also got the plum hi/lo WU and agree that the maybe the compression is not as firm, but the colour is gorgeous - love!

@ anon 2:19 pm - In the dim light of the store they didn't look overly sheer to me but I did a really quick try on of them.

I should get my pique skinny wills tomorrow or Friday as well as my Plum CRB. I sized up to a 6 in this CRB because I noticed my normal size 4's getting tighter..not sure if this happens in the wash or if I'm gaining weight LOL. I take a 6 in any other top (Scoop me up, energy bra, etc) so Im sure it will be fine.
I returned my blue moon energy tank on aug 19 to fed ex and the return STILL hasnt been processed.. I'm hoping I still get the $ back even if fed ex dropped the ball and is taking forever.

I would say the mesh on the journey crops is ad sheer as in pictures, but I didn't mind it when I tried them on. It's different mesh than on the run crops (inspires, mod moves) and it is more sheer than those.

Stores were using seawheeze shoppers for a few weeks before the race.

Anon 2:34, dang it, you're right. I didn't see the ziggy WUs uploaded and need a 4 now that they are sold out. :(

@anon 3:29 I have found that returning by mail takes a long time. I still haven't gotten a refund I shipped 3 weeks ago. I used the label from lulu, and after tracking it, it took 13 days to get to lulu. So they received it Monday, but haven't seen credit yet... I think it just takes a long time :/

I got my plum WUs today... there's no logo anywhere on them. Is it supposed to be like that or should I go back to the store??

Anonymous said...

I'd like to know this as well. Anyone?

Anonymous said...

Mine don't have a logo either. Not sure if I'm going back to the store... the logos on my other WUs are on the waistband, so it's not like you see them anyway. And it's actually kind of nice to have logo-less clothes because I feel odd when I go out dressed in all lulu (which happens more than I care to admit). The nearest store is two hours away and I like the pants otherwise, so I'm trying to decide if a little logo is worth the trip.

I find that if I ship my online returns through Fedex, it is a lot quicker than USPS. I believe their label will work both ways, Smartpost.
But it will still be at least 10 biz days before seeing any credit. :(

I agree with some of the other comments....I didn't think the angel stripe looked dingy at all....I think those who were expecting it to be a bright white with grey, might think so, but I didn't have any expectations of white.

It's really cute. I bought it on an impulse because I knew it would be one of those prints I really regretted down the road. Better to buy now and sell later, than pay double on ebay.

The lady in the angel wing forme jacket looks great and makes that jacket very desirable.

I tried on the plum CRB at my showroom today and I loved it. Not sheer and the fabric felt fine to me. I didn't buy it because money is a little tight right now, though. I was hoping my showroom would have the plum wunder unders, but no dice :(
