The Latest and Some Quick Fit Reviews

Inkwell Inspires and Blue Moon Energy Tank

The Midnight Iris print Cool Racerback and Raspberry Glo Speed Shorts. I got this tank today. It's made in Canada.  It's a high poly fabric but I thought it felt pretty silky. The print did not go white as it stretched. The print varies a bit from tank to tank so you might want to grab a few to compare. If you like black prints or the trendy dark florals you'll like this one.

I also tried on both Hyper Stripe Cool Racerbacks and the Blue Moon one. I was very tempted by the Raspberry Glo version. They are all on the thicker side and feel very nice. I thought Blue Moon looked a bit brighter in the luxtreme fabric of the Energy Tank rather than the light luon of the CRB.

I also tried on the new Atma tank and really liked it. It's made of luon light. As others have said it's super long. I think the fit is on the generous side. I also tried on the Bliss Break Sweatpant and liked them. They are super casual looking, though. I thought the fit was TTS.

Bliss Break hoodie photos. My store had these but I didn't try it on.

They're Solomons. It looks like maybe they're the Speedcross model?

Not normally a fan of the plums but the check speed run paired with the raspberry plum hyper stripe CRB looks gorgeous! And go the girl nailing her handstand in the last pic!!

They are Salomon. They make a lot of trail running shoes and hiking boots. I have a couple pairs, they're really comfortable!

The brand is called Solomon.

The shoes look like Salomons. They are known for trail shoes I believe. Supposed to be good ones.

I need some advice on wether to go with wunder under luxtreme or full on luon pants. I will be wearing them to workout but also casually under tunics dresses in fall winter. I like that luxtreme doesn't attract pet hair since I have an English bulldog. But I don't want them to be shiny either. My only experience with luxtreme is rfyl crops and inspires. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't live close to a store.

I tried on the universal wrap. Much thinner than previous wraps. I have the transition wrap and it is significantly thicker and softer. Also tried on the inkwell and plum inspires. Same crappy luxtreme they have been using, no compression, not at all like older versions. Love the colors but unless they use the thicker luxtreme they are not useful. The tuck and flow shirt was hideous on in the back. It is universally unflattering, as you can tell from all the pics posted. Who looks good in a shirt that makes your butt look wider, flatter, and longer. I work hard for my Crossfit butt, I don't want it covered by that duck bill style. It is supposed to be made of Rulu fabric, it feels even thinner than what they called Rulu last year and nothing like the original Rulu. On a positive note the plaid speeds were much cuter in person than on line. I absolutely love all the new colors, sad none of the products are good quality or flattering designs.

Totally OT but Ivivva just uploaded the "reverse me long sleeve" which seems like the good ol' cabins of old with the pretty stitching. Could this be a foreshadowing of the return of the cabin ls to the lulu side?! Please, please, PLEASE lulu :)

I noticed the Sand to Savavana bag in WMTM this morning. I keep putting it in my shopping bag and taking it out again....I'm having commitment issues, can't decide!! :). Does anyone who has this bag talk me into it (or out of it!).

OT but i'm mildly ashamed. I just pulled the trigger on the sea check plaid speed shorts... on ebay. Paid double for them, all because i missed my size on the lulu site by a few seconds (size 6 sold out as I was checking out). I'm NEVER proud to endorse people who gobble up items and hike the price up for resale... but damn, those shorts are so cute. They better look as good on me as I hope they will!

On another note, I second a previous post wishing for a plum energy bra! Plum is my fave lulu color, so i'm also hoping for a solid plum CRB, PLUM WUC (already have an old pair though so i'm sure the quality difference will be appauling when i put them side by side). Would have died over a plum define jacket with rasp glo/plum hyperstripe in the Om symbol *swoons over fictional item*

Just got back from my local store and I picked up the sea check speeds, raspberry glo speeds and the universal wrap in black swan. I had been stalking the sea check speeds after missing them on the upload, so I was glad to find them. They are 2 way stretch. The wrap is gorgeous! I sized down to a 4. I'm usually a 6 in most Lulu tops. The oatmeal wrap is very pretty too. I thought the wrap was super flattering. I'm petite so wraps are sometimes difficult for me be use of all the fabric. I will probably return the raspberry glo speeds - when I tried them on at home the color seemed a little off.

Ordered some more WMTM, scoop neck, Pizazz Free to be tank and also caved and got the blue moon stripe CRB :D

This is so OT-

Has anyone received their Yogasmoga leggings yet? I got the crops, but no word on the leggings.

If I would have known I would be waiting for 4+ months I would never have ordered them... this company doesn't live up to the hype.

Thank you all!!! :)

Holy new releases, quite a bit uploaded into WMTM. If your a scoop me up fan, its your lucky day. Might have to try the pizazz scoop me up at $29:)Crazy how much new stuff is making a quick exit to WMTM of late?

Well, I was able to hook up my pal with I think the last pair of 4 speed shorts at Tyson's corner, but unfortunately my size is all gone (sold out last night within 2 hours). So I'm sending a general plea to the blog if anyone sees a size 8 or 10 (10 preferred) and is willing to angel for me I would be forever grateful! Please contact me at macfrannie@gmail.com.

Thanks

I tried on both the Energy tank and the Atma tank yesterday.

The cups are so awful now that the Energy tank looked lumpy and wrong in the front. It just wasn't that flattering. The back is cute, of course.

The Atma tank looked awful on me, too, but I just can't fill the top of it out enough. So it might look awesome on someone with a larger bust.

Anonymous said...

No interested in any of this stuff. The new floral black print is neither flattering nor eye catching, in my opinion.
The Atma tank kinda looks like a babydoll (and the flowers are upside down, at least in the one pictured here, awful).

I just really want the PLUX WUCs to be uploaded.

Omg!!!! Sea check speeds look so awesome with the hyper stripe plum ras CRB! I bought them both hoping they'd look cute and now I'm more excited than ever for them to arrive! I'm regretting not grabbing the ras glow speeds too, but i got the plumb inspires and the pizzazz track and train on sale and I'm just out of budget.

Went to my local lululemon store today and they had gotten in the check speed run shorts. Unfortunately, my size 4 was already sold out. They literally had put them out the hour before I arrived. I was able to grab a size 6 which I wanted to offer up to someone on this site that doesn't have the luxury of a local store or who works during the day and cannot make it to the store as often as I can as a stay-at-home mom. They were $56.86 with Va tax and you can email me at whittyhurst@hotmail.com. I will send them to the first person who responds and who promises not to suck as a person and sell them on ebay. I would just ask that you mail me a check. I love that the people on this site are supportive of each other and would like to share the love!

FYI - One of my store's product notification had the sea check speeds. I'm in suburban Philadelphia.

Anonymous said...

I saw that a couple hours ago and ordered! Now, if only I could snag a pair of size 6 pizzaz speed shorts I'd be a happy camper! Not even 1 pair on eBay! Thank you for your help!

I ordered the Midnight Iris CRB this week but picked up the print in the Atma tank last night. I also got it in Plum.
I returned the Energy tank...it was too baggy in the torso..had fabric love handles.

On a happy note. I placed my 2nd YogaSmoga order Friday and even though it said back order 8 -12 weeks I got my shipping confirmation today !

I know peeps are crazy for those plaid speed shorts that sold out online. I was in 2 Lulu stores yesterday and both had piles of those shorts.

Got the Universal Wrap in heathered black swan today. I really like it. It's super coft. It's a very fine gauge sweater knit...something that Vince or Theory would put out for $250. UW is $118. The arms are ribbed, so they are going to stretch easily...no more too tight arms. I got a sz 6 (5'6" 127lbs 34D).

Also got to the store just in time to snag a pair of the Sea Check Speed Shorts. I wasn't sure quite how I felt about them initially. Seeing them in person sealed the deal for me. Love the photo of the short with the Hyper Stripe Cool Racerback in RaspGlo.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of the sea check speed shorts. One of my stores had a few left! They were even saying they couldn't believe they still have them. I wore them to my workout tonight! Usually I sit on my purchases for a few days before I cut tags...not tonight!

@anon 5:05 pm - I think you could get away with the luxtreme for casual wear. The power interlock luxtreme is not as shiny as the luxtreme on inspires/mod moves crops and is thicker. I have a pair of the PLUX crops and love them.

Wow - all this talk of sea check speeds and i'm feeling left out! Went to my store on tuesday but they didn't have them. Been trying to prepare to go on vacation so haven't had time to go back to the store but may have to squeeze a trip in before I leave! They would be great for beach runs!

The luxtreme is pretty shiny -- too shiny for casual wear, imo.

Anon at 10:02:

I got my YogaSmoga tippy toe leggings a couple weeks ago (and actually really love them). But I'm still waiting on my Slimmie Pants.

I emailed YogaSmoga this week -- not to complain, but just to say its been 16 weeks since I ordered and to inquire as to whether they had an update on estimated ship dates. I got a really disappointing email back that basically said (in a very friendly way): we're working on it and they will ship as soon as we have them, but giving no real info on when that might be.

I actually really don't mind that it's taking forever, but I do mind the lack of communication. If you say 8-12 week, and 12 weeks has long since come and gone, I should not have to email you -- proactive communication goes a long way. And when I do email you, I'd hope you have some actual info. Is it going to be 2 more weeks or 8? I'm frustrated because I want to support this company, and in my opinion the product is great, but they aren't winning me over with the customer service right now.

For all you petite ladies looking at the universal wrap, ivivva has the lakeside wrap in silver spoon in 12 and 14. I got a sz14 and its perfect since I'm on the small side. Plus it's only $ 58.

Hi there! I put my pair on eBay for cost plus shipping. They are 10s. I needed an 8. Sorry, if I had seen this first I would have just sent them to you...

@6:16 I have the S2S bag in the pink. I love it. I use it for everything from hot yoga to a weekender bag. It fits my mac and or ipad just fine! Just wish it had an exterior water bottle not interior.

Can anyone comment on the fit of the Run:Layer me long sleeve? Is it tts? Thanks!

I got my order last night. I got 2 sizes in the Sea Check pacesetter skirt, and had to keep the bigger one. Like the nimbus stripe PS skirt, there's no give in the seam between the waistband and the skirt. It still looks and feels great on, so I'm happy with it. I sized down to a 6 in the tuck and flow in plum, and it fits really well. Very flattering and not clingy on my stomach, which I like. I also picked up the universal wrap in black swan in store - I didn't want to like it so much, but nice and light. I don't like super heavy sweaters and cover ups, so this is perfect. All in all, I love the new colours and I'm happy with the mix of old favourites (crbs, pacesetters etc) and new designs like the tuck & flow.

stripe plum ras pattern is so cute. I went to my local store last night after my run and could not resist the bang buster in that pattern I am wearing it right now, it is so humid in NYC and this headband keeps my frizz in check. I wanted to get the CRB in the same pattern but held out, there was only one in my size 4 which will probably be gone when I decide to get it. I also saw the iris CRB and I like the pattern, but not the feel of the polyester.

Has anyone seen the inkwell inspires from the top photos in the US in stores? I am a runner and really would like these!

Anonymous said...

i think it's sometimes more helpful to say which store we were in when we spot an in demand item instead of "my local store" - so today i happened to be in greenwich CT and they have the check speed shorts in all sizes - plenty to stock.

Anonymous said...

this is the person who was in the greenwich store - i also got the universal wrap in black swan - it is super super soft - i have so many lulu wraps (some in multiple colors) this one is very very soft and well made (maybe that store got a great batch). didn't try on or feel the other colors b/c i have those colors in other wraps. hoping we get the pacesetter - Tall in the plaid, i see them on ebay for 125+ from canada sellers and i will have to buy one if we don't get them here in the US (on-line or ins tore next week).

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know if the plum inspires are sheer? And if the inkwells are in US?

Anonymous said...

Went to one of my local stores and bought the sea check speeds today. Wasn't wild about them when I first saw them but tried them on anyway and of course thought they were adorable. There were only one or two pairs left.

Also bought a pair of the Power Interlock Luxtreme WUC. Not sheer at all and very nice compression.

Tried on the scoop me up tank and was impressed. I had tried it on last year and wasn't crazy about it but this one was very supportive. Even though it was only $29 I restrained and did not buy it. Got my first bangbuster instead!

Tried on the plum inspires and while I love plum I wasn't crazy about it in luxtreme and also did not like the sheer plum panels in the back. I will wait for plum wunder unders or inkwell inspires.

I saw the Tech Mesh Tights in my local LLL today (NS). They come in black and inkwell. I also saw the Split Pea Scuba * Stretch Lined in Split Pea. It's really cute! It has a plum zipper + hair tie and on the inside of the hood it says: "It's warm inside".

Also, if anyone is interested, I have an extra Run: Pacesetter Skirt (reg length) in the Sea Check Multi/Plum size 10 for sale. I found one in a Tall at my store today. :) I figured maybe someone else was wishing they had purchased it and didn't get the chance. I think the fabric is 2-way stretch.

Anonymous said...

I tried them on in my TTS and I didn't find them to be sheer. Then again, I was planning on using them for running so I didn't bend over into downward facing dog.

I tried on the Energy Tank in Blue Moon. I thought it was just awful. The cups, the fit, the design--fail. I didn't even think it was cute in the back. The top is too tight and the bodice too loose and long. I went with a Blue Moon stripe CRB. I also caved on the Bliss Break hoodie in Blue Moon. LOVE!

macfrannie said...

Hi Fledgling, I might be interested in that extra skirt you have. All of my other skirts are an 8 but do you think this batch run small? Please email me at macfrannie@gmail.com if you have a moment.

Thanks

@5:26 AM, shoot, I wish I had known you had those extra shorts before I over paid for a pair from Canada. LOL Oh well, someone else was made very happy I'm sure. I do want to say to my fellow blog readers, Thank You for being so helpful and kind! I've had two really really nice ladies reach out to me to help me on my quest for a pair of speed shorts. Thanks! ~MacFrannie

I went to my local store Tuesday (northbrook, il), but they did not yet have any new items out. So I am waiting for an online purchase of the midnight iris crb, as I'm going out of town this week & doubt I'll have time to pop back into my store. I did however find a new balance short that a) has very similar colors to the sea check speeds & b) has a 3 inch inseam which works better for me anyway. It's not quite a check - but really similar IMO & on sale on amazon & the new balance website. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008ALYCOQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1376135081&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY190

Did anyone get the chai time pullover II delivered yet? I ordered one but it won't get here til Tuesday (a when fricken week!). Was wondering - what does it reverse to? Can't really tell the difference on the website...
