NEW! Nice Asana Jacket and Hi/Low Wunder Unders

New Nice Asana jacket, made of luon. I think I like this better than the Contempo since it incorporates the lulu symbol into the front, much like the old Stride Jackets used to. Unless there is a fit problem, I would think these will be popular.

New Hi/Low Wunder Under pants.

I ran in my sea check Fast Cat skirt today. The guys I run with were making fun of me. One of them said "I see you have a bowling skirt to match those bowling shoes you have" (a reference to some old Diesel kicks I had). There was also some comments on how bright and colorful it was and how they needed to put on their sunglasses. These guys know nothing about fashion, and they are oblivious. So I figured it was a good sign they even noticed I was wearing something new. The girls all loved it, and one of them asked "Where did you get that?" One of the guys piped up "It's Lulu, duh!" LOL!

I know the hi/low WUs will come in plum (they're in one of the banners), but I wonder if we'll get regular rise WUs in plum? That's what I've been wanting for weeks, and I don't know that I'll ever use a higher rise, and don't usually like the look of folded over pants... sigh.

What's a Hi/Low Wunder Under pants? What's the difference? Is it a skinny will pants without the strings and pockets?

Anonymous said...

I need that jacket... any idea when it's coming out?

Anonymous said...

how are the hi/low WUs different from the high-waisted ones from last winter, just that you can roll them down if desired?

Anonymous said...

what do they mean by high-low? just a high rise?

LuluAddict said...

I think you can leave the waist up or roll the waist down for a lower rise.

How high are we talkin' here...to the belly button or above the belly button?

OT- I posted a comment on the 24th re: my ta ta tamer color transfer onto flare CRB. Thank you for the comments, especially to the anon who told me to soak it in distilled white vinegar. Vinegar really worked well!! Maybe it's q well known method here, but I never knew. I couldnt thank you enough! I love this blog and its readers!!!

First photo--she looks very cut off and choppy. Not at all a smooth, sLimming line. Who aspires to look like that?

Is the beautiful blonde model sporting a LS reversible Cabin shirt in soot/pop orangey color? Is this possibly a new release in the next month? Or an older shirt?

@ anon 7:09 pm - I've heard that the Plum CRB is coming this week, too.

@7:19pm I picked up a Midnight Iris Forme II jacket today. It fits TTS and has a nice stretch. It has the feel on the outside of the old Defines. My ONLY gripe is that it could have been lined because it feels like Luon Light such that the fabric is lighter than some of the other Forme jackets I've tried on. They are selling fast so get it now if you want one.

For reference, I am usually between a 4 and 6 (34C) and always did a 6 in Define and I got a 6 in this one. I actually tried the 8 but it was too roomy.

Hi Anon 7:19 PM- I tired on the Forme II Jacket sz4 in Midnight Iris today and found it TTS. The print is very beautiful with subtle rich dark tones, but the fabric overall is disappointing. This jacket seems to be made from the same cloth as the WUC so it has the feel of a mid layer, or a pull over, and it's far from being a Define.

In comparison to the Clarity Yellow/Polar Cream Forme I jacket I tired on last year, there is far less of the peaking in the shoulder seem that turned me off this jacket from the get go. I remember last year's Forme Jacket to be much thicker and durable than this Midnight Iris Forme II, which felt plastic-y.

I also tried on the Hustle and Bustle tank in Plum- this runs a little large or could just be stretchy. The deep V cut in the neckline at the back of the tank means that I could drop it off the shoulders and easily wiggle it over my hips so it's very easy to get on and off.

The WUC in Midnight Iris didn't pass the bend over test. So sad! One of the Ed in the store was wearing them, and I ask how she got them to fit her. As she was in between sizes, she was able to size up, plus she loved the print so much she was determined to buy them. They look nice for casual wear in my TTS but can't do downward dogs.

The pacesetter skirts are lovely- the Iris print is at it's best on this fabric. I find that the Iris print gets lost against the Sizzle yellow accents, but this could just be inside, as I've seen the Iris shake and break shorts in bright sun, and they looked great paired with the sizzle swiftly. The luxtreme unders shorts had plenty of give to them, so I would say this is TTS.

I was happy to get a Plum swiftly, and The Mat in Plum. It's a beautiful tone, and it's dark enough to not show marks.

Namaste!

I'm sure there've been many responses by now but I think the girl with the hi/low pants is wearing a soot dance studio jacket. You can see the ties from the hood hanging down.

The new jacket looks a lot like the Daily Yoga jacket too except for the front detailing.

I got a gift card this weekend so I'm ready to buy something plum. Hopefully something I like gets uploaded this week. Fingers crossed for plum WUC. :)

I finally got to try on the Bliss Break Wrap this weekend and it was a big disappointment. It just fit very awkward in almost everyway and was not flattering at all. I'm petite at 5"4" and 115 and am not very curvy so maybe that is the problem and perhaps it would look better on curvier girls but it was a pass for me. I had hoped it would be a great fall to and from jacket and weekend wear.

I was also in an Athleta store over the weekend and they had an award on their counter by the cash registers - for best return policy from a local magazine!!! I wanted to take a picture of it and send it to you LLA! This magazine does an annual "best of" list for everything from restaurants to spas, etc.

@Anon 7:12 and others -- thank you for the vinegar suggestion! I weirdly (and sadly) had my paris pink energy bra bleed all over my new blue ta ta topper this weekend, and am so sad there are no more 6's online since this has been my favorite lulu purchase in a long time. So far the stain has not responded to oxiclean and other treatments. I will absolutely try soaking in vinegar next. Thank you for the update and I'm glad it worked for you! (also would be grateful for any other suggestions?)

Hi all
I purchased the fluffin awesome vest in a tts 4 and size up 6..... Can't decide:/ it is more figure flattering in the 4 but snug in the chest in a 6. I'm 5'5 115 32dd. Any help out there from someone who purchased this vest?

@Anon 4:34 I was in the same situation as you! I am a 32D and found that everything fit perfect in the 4 except for the chest area. I ended up going with the 6 because I think I'm going to layer it, plus it does look awkwardly tight for me in the chest area. Hope that helps!

Does anyone know if the Midnight Iris Pace Setter is 2 way or 4 way stretch?

Thanks!

I tried on my Dance Studio jacket that I received on Friday, and it is so much cuter in person than the online photos! Too bad I didn't know it was a size up item, it's very snug but the materials stretchy so it still fits fine, the arms are roomy enough as well. I would have liked a little more room so I don't feel so constricted in the stomache but Ce La Vie! It's still gorgeous!

I contacted GEC live chat this am to see if I could confirm the rumor that the Sea Check PS skirt was recalled and what that meant. Below is the chat transcript:

Jacqueline: Hi Frances!
Frances: Hi!
Jacqueline: Yes, that's right. We pulled it from our online store and our stores because we found that the fabric was only two-way stretch and it wasn't up to our performance standards.
Frances: Thanks! What does that mean if I purchased one of those skirts?
Jacqueline: We can set up a return for you.
Frances: even if it is outside of the return window?
Frances: the standard 14 day period?
Jacqueline: Yes, since we've pulled it from our stores.
Frances: Wonderful, thanks so much for the information, I really appreciate your help.

Just thought you all might want to know.

I'm a 4-6 in tops, and the midnight iris forme fit well in a 6. I thought the fit was flattering, but it just didn't seem that soft and comfy. I have two defines, one is made of smooth soft luon and the other is also rougher and stiffer. I think colour makes a difference and midnight iris is definitely a stiffer colour! OT, I saw two new textured WUs selling at my yoga studio today - neon pink base and black base. They were quite stocking-like, and felt way too thin and sheer to be pants. I really hope LL comes up with some wearable textured WUs, like denim-ish ones. Disappointed the midnight iris ones were sheer, and not too optimistic about the plum ones - given they aren't even made in the full-on luon.

Athleta has an amazing return policy and their fall line is adorable - pants identical to wu in charcoal and heathered plum - love!

Alhtough, my in store experience is never great. there always seems be a ton of ladies working there but no one to help, especially at the register. They also know very little about their product line. I have always been much more impressed with the lulu eds.

OT - my bf was at FYF music festival in Los Angeles this weekend - the NBC booth was giving away Lululemon men's Metal Vent Tech Shirts that have a tiny NBC logo on one sleeve. I was so jealous! He came home wearing it - wonder if they were giving away women's stuff!

My store has a super cute Right As Rain Jacket in Inkwell and black. Much bigger improvement over the orange of last year.

The Ivivva store in Bellevue! WA moved into Bellevue Square Mall. It's on the second floor above Red Mango. I stopped by really quickly today, and there are some really cute things that can fit smaller ladies like myself. There is an adorable raincoat for $128. I don't need another raincoat as I already have 3 trenches and a couple Northface goretex jackets, but it was soooo tempting! There were several things on sale too.

Ugh. Rant here. I was so excited to wear my new plum 105f singlet until I noticed the 1 inch rip in the seam under my arm. I stayed up late waiting for it online, and now I'm going to have to return it. Ugh.

@ anon 1:12 pm - that sucks.

Anonymous said...

Anon@1:12, that's too bad! I bought that too, and I'm afraid to wear it, the fabric seems so delicate!

Thanks!!! I kept the 6 too:)

MacFrannie - that is interesting. The pacesetter skirt in sea check is still listed as available on the NZ site in both regular & tall.
