Fluffin' Awesome Vest, Exhalation Pullover Plus Some Try On Comments

The Fluffin' Awesome Vest in Angel Wing, Split Pea, Plum, and Black. I tried this on the other day. I thought it was TTS but I have no need of this vest in SoCal.

Shown with Split Pea Speeds

The Exhalation Pullover. I tried this on the other day - it's super, pet-your-own-arm soft. I thought the fit was TTS. I don't know if I love the look of the back vent. Also, it's very casual. I consider this daytime-pajama or I'm-in-for-the-night wear. I would love it if it came in something other than grays.

Midnight Iris Pace Setter Skirt and Race Me SS top. I tried on the Race Me LS and SS last week. They are decent tops, fit TTS, though I though the SS fits looser than the LS, but I found them a bit on the warm side and not as breathable as Swiftlys.

I am curious about the midnight iris skirt...where to get it? I have been eyeing for it since I saw the ad on the website!

I also thought the EP was super soft, but had weird shoulder puckering, like in a lot of those pics. Pass :(.

Ooh ! That iris midnight pace setter skirt will be mine ! :)

is it the pace setter skirt? I can't entirely tell under the long tshirt... but the pace setter in midnight iris is on the NZ site at the moment in tall & regular.

The pleating in the back of the pullover and a couple of previously released lulu jackets looks like a female part. Sorry. Since the thought occurred to me, I have not been able to buy any of the items with the pleating.

not liking that sweat shirt! that weird split thing again it keeps coming back each time just as fugly imo! not likeing any of the long sleeve tops they all look slopy to me no shape where oh where are the tops w/ the a line cuts that hug the curves closely????? hope they aren't gone for good?

I really don't understand the back pleat in all of these tops - it's just so unflattering on EVERYONE. Either it pulls weirdly making the top look too small, or it just puffs out making it look like a backwards maternity shirt. Whose back has a baby bump!?

What is the fluorescent vest layered over in the top photo?

@ sophia - backwards maternity shirt - I TOTALLY agree!!! If the back were normal I'd really love this shirt.

@ HP Sauce - It's on top of the Bliss Break hoodie.

Has anyone in Canada seen the 105f singlet in stores yet???

why is the back of all the new tops so long? Is this the solution to sheerness? What happened to Lulu pants make your butt look great? So why are we covering it completely? I tried on the new fluffy vest today and since I'm 5'1, the back flip up and I looked like I had a duck tail. It's so pretty though.

Based on my experience with the Midnight Iris Shake and Bake shorts and after careful scrutiny of the NZ skirt photos, I think the Midnight Iris Pacesetter is going to be 4 WAY stretch. I hope it uploads next week.

BTW, the FedEx vacation hold worked great. They missed delivering one box yesterday, but will bring it today. I think they would have brought it to me yesterday if I had raised a fuss. It was a free service and the best part is by doing this I still get my 2 week return window after I get home because my offical delivery was pushed off a bit.

Have a great Friday everyone!!!

I don't know why lulu has to ruin the vests with color blocking. The darker shade on top 1/3 of the vest makes it so awkward. This way a girl is shortened by that much.

What is the 2-toned black/grey hoodie in the 4th set of vest pics (shown from the back with the red pants)?

In the second last picture of the oatmeal coloured, I thought I was looking at a baby bump! It's her BACK, lol!

@LLA - Do you know if the plum in the flow crops work well for running? Or are these mostly yoga pants? thx!

I agree, I can understand making the top loose fitting, but why room for a toddler hide under the back? Just makes it hang weird, and shoulders are all wrong.

I sized up in the vest, my normal size 6 was skin tight and would have no room for anything besides a tight t shirt underneath.

I thought the vest fit very small and would be a size up item for me. But everyones body is different :) For that price it better fit perfect!

the vest is too bulky and also expensive. I prefer patagonia vests and they have a lot of colors, their fluffy stuff is really durable too.
I would really love to have the pace setter in the iris pattern, but I have noticed that since I have been doing a lot of leg work (heavy)in the gym my thighs are getting muscular and when I run in this skirt, the rubbery things rub me the wrong way.

@ 5:51 am....the jacket you're referring to is the DSJ in black. She's wearing the reversed side out which has the gray liner with black ribbing. The regular side is all black.

@ anon 7:23 am - I've run in my Ebb and Flows which are similar material. They stay up fine but there are no pockets in them. My sister runs in her Ebb and Flows all the time. However, the material is rougher so if your thighs rub it will rough up the material in the crotch and wear it out, I think much faster than a pair of luxtreme crops.

Does anyone know the cost of the vest?

It seems like the store has re-stocked the speed shorts in the multi sea check pattern. It was sold out very quickly during the upload and in the stores. My store had it in all sizes and I was told that they had a new shipment this week. Happy to pick up one!

@ anon 10:22 am - $168

Anybody spotted speed shorts in midnight iris?

In my opinion, I think the reason LLL is making these loose, long tops is because that is what's in style now. I see everywhere loose tops for casual wear. I personally do not like it one bit. I work out hard, and I like a nice fitted top (or at least body skimming) to show off that off! Both in exercise clothes and casual wear. The loose tops hide a woman's curves!

I think Santana Row had the midnight iris speed shorts last night. I know they had the sea check print which surprised me since those went quickly. I'm not a speed wearer, so I didn't pay very close attention.

I bought the vest in plum today and didn't feel it was bulky at all but I wasn't too keen on the scoop hem in the back. I'm not sure what lulu's obsession is with the back scoop so I'm not sure if I'll keep it or return it. Seems like all of lulu's new items would be perfect minus one or two odd design choices on each.

Bwahaha @6:57 AM...Every time I see that pic I think, aww what a cute baby bump. Thanks for clarifying. Now that I see it correctly, the girl is cute - that's the shirt's fault.

@ anon 1:02 pm- I agree. I tried a bunch of Free People tops on a couple of weeks ago and it was all over-sized stuff.

Thank you!
Since i missed on online my size are all gone....

I bought the Exhalation Pullover today in the darker grey (fit in my TTS 6) and really like it! It's super cozy & soft! I like that it has no hood and that it isn't fitted, as I'll likely be wearing it casually with skinny jeans and flip flops or Toms. I take my little boy for a walk almost every evening and I think it will be perfect for the cooler Calgary weather as we head into Fall.
Looks really nice with long necklaces, like they show in the pics.
Personally, I like the back, although a few people mentioned that they don't....but I think it's cute! I also didn't have a problem with the shoulders being pointy, like some of the pics showed.

Anonymous said...

Where in Calgary did you find it? And for how much, if you don't mind me asking : )

I also really liked and bought the exhilaration pullover. It's a great piece that can look cute with jeans, I like the pleat at the back, it adds some interest, otherwise it's just a boring long sleeve top. The fabric is super soft and cozy. I simply adore this top and I look forward to wearing it once the weather cools down.

Anon 5:25,

Same thing....I got mine in the light grey. I would have bought both colors.

It was so soft and it looks really good with yoga pants and skinny jeans. I also didn't have any issues with the shoulders. Mine fits small enough its not as small in the waist as the pics.

I too, think the pleat is cute and feminine (although some are strongly disliking it)

Anon 10:44 am, the first time the sea check speeds were uploaded, my local store (Vancouver) were completely sold out when I popped in about a week and a half later. Dropped in 2 days ago and they were fully stocked! I was so happy to grab a pair :D they also had midnight iris speeds in limited sizes

The Forme II is an improvement. Still missing the Define, though. HAPPY the scoop necks are back! Not into stripes at all, so I hope there will be some solid options.

Are the iris speeds 4 way???

Anonymous said...

Any word on if the Exhalation Pullover will come out in Plum?

Anonymous said...

Can't find the Exhalation Pullover online..
Is it just an in store one?
