Australian Heads Up

The Dance Studio Jacket (aka, DSJ) is back. It's coming in Plum, Soot Light, Inkwell, and Black. These photos are from an Australian store so it's not in North America yet. Also shown is a new striped Cool Racerback. I saw Fly Away Tamer headbands in this print in Vancouver.

New Plum/Raspberry Glo Mod Moves tank.

Ooh, love that jacket! I'm digging the plum!

I would love a plum dsj. It hasn't been out since I started buying lulu in Jan but ive seen some cute ones on ebay and everyone seems to love it. Is this a tts item or size up like the define for most people? Plum is probably my face lulu color so far. It seems to go with everything.

How do DSJ fit? Are they a size up item like defines? I would love one in either Plum or Soot Light - or maybe both :)!

Does it look different ? That is probably one of the fastest selling items they have. The fit is most flattering to everyone! The colors all sound quite desireable as well.

Does anyone know why the iris vinyasa was not uploaded?

Also, for the 105 does anyone layer over a crb?

If you have the opportunity, LLA, would you show a color comparison of a bordeaux drama item and a plum item? I'd really appreciate it!! Thanks!

What!!!! DSJ in plum will be mine! (And perhaps in inkwell too!) Will not let these slip through my fingers...not this time. Even if I have to stay up all night for them. ;)

It's funny, for the past few months I've read reviews of gals feeling "meh" about Lulu's new items. I thought something was seriously wrong with me because I was loving everything that came out. Now, I can say pass to everything! I can't put my finger on what changed, but I think it's cool that LLL can appeal to such a wide variety of tastes.

Lesson learned: hold on to my Lulu bucks for a few months, then splurge. ;-)

I am definitely getting the DSJ!! Kind of regret picking up the faded zap street to studio jacket on WMTM now becuase I loved my black though! :( How many jackets does a girl need..

Oh man!!!! plum is my fave color... I want that plum DSJ, plum WUC, plum CRB (not a singlet fan), plum energy bra, already bought the plum inspires and Astros and I have an old pair of plum WUC... I have a plum problem!!

Anon@9:09: "How many jackets does a girl need..."

That's a rhetorical question, right? It's like asking how many pairs of shoes or how many purses! ;)

Just noticed on lulu's website that full-price bras are now returnable for free. Interesting.

OT --- not sure if anyone else mentioned yet, but i just noticed a new scoop tank in the photo with the black charming headband. Scoop tanks are coming back!

Anonymous said...

Oops, I meant black charming *twist* headband.

Hey LLA, I hope that you are recovering well from your race and that you are enjoying some down time with your family. I didn't realize how addicted I am to this website until you were gone and unable to post much because of your bad internet connection. Thank you so much for providing such a great forum with honest feedback as to fit and quality of Lulu items. I am finding the comments on how clothing fits especially helpful, and it's so nice you have so many readers of varying sizes as I buy things for other people too. I find that I am returning less items that I purchased online due to sizing. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your site.

Personally I wouldnt layer a 105f over a CRB but thats just me. Could work for you tho:)

Scoop neck tanks are coming back! You can see a blue moon/split pea with black trim scoop neck tank on te model displaying the black charm twist headband!

Anonymous said...

Did anyone else notice the multicolored scoop neck tank when you view the black charming twist headband? I'd be interested to see a full picture... Looks cute!

My store had a Plum Burn It Out Tank - has anyone seen that in theirs?

Has anyone tried the Astro shorts yet? I missed them on the upload last week but they sold pretty fast in sizes above 2/4. But I haven't seen any pix or reviews of them except on the website.

Lots of cute stuff uploaded onto the Aussie site! DSP IIIs in 4 colors, Groovy Run shorts in the sea check print, etc :o)

DSJ is a size up item like the define. Fits like a glove, but oh soooo flattering! I have it in Concord grape and am already lusting after the Plum. Absolute Favorite jacket!

Anonymous said...

Do people normally stay TTS or size up in the DSJ? Thanks!

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah!! I don't like the color combo on the scoop neck but I would love a Midnight Iris one or Heathered Plum/Plum combo *hope*

For those of you who have seen the plum and inkwell inspires in person, which do you prefer? How is the coverage? Thanks!!!

Anonymous said...

coverage on the plum and inkwell is not good. I have old inspired in indigo blue and I cannnot believe the difference in thickness.

Anonymous said...

Have the inkwell inspires been uploaded? STL sold out of them in one day... :( really don't want to miss them!! Very excited for the return of the dance studio jacket- i missed out the other times

Anonymous said...

I perfered the plum, but they're both pretty. I thought the coverage was very good, did a squat/bend in the fitting room and couldn't see anything!

Oakbrook (chicago burbs) has chai time iis! Sad though -- I tried it on and fell in love with the lightest color and the feel of it.. but the fit doesn't work on me. It's fitted around the hips and in the arms, but is too baggy under the arms. I felt like a flying squirrel, sadly put it back, and left empty handed.

They also had the blue striped vinyasa and the new singlet type thing with the drawstring around the bottom. I walked past the plum/heathered plum one about twenty times but couldn't do it.

Had run for your lifes, but I didn't even try on after all the CT comments!

@ anon 5:36- got my plum inspires today and love them, got them in my TTS 6 (I'm 5'6 135lbs) and they are not sheer in the bum at all!! I love them, they're the First pair of inspires to pass my quality standards in over a year. I didn't try the inkwell but I thought I'd chin in with my thumb up for the plum ones :)

I heard that the Chai II pullover was making its way into the store today, so I hurried over to one of my local stores before they closed. (I live in DC, so I'm a little spoiled. I have 5 in my area, 3 are close to my house.)

I was surprised they had the check speed shorts in a 4 (probably a return). I tried them on but I was not surprised that they were too small (I wear a 6). They were really cute. I ordered the tall pace setter in the check, but I'm a little sad I missed the speed shorts.

I went straight to the Chai pullovers since I hesitated online and then missed out. I wanted the white one, but they were already out of size 4. They had a 2 so I tried a 2 in white and a 4 in the grey. I didn't really notice the size difference...the 2 was actually pretty loose so I bought the 2.

I tried on the bliss break sweatpants for fun, and omg....they fit and feel like a dream. I didn't want to take them off. (I'm wearing them right now :) ) I love the back pockets!

Another lady was trying on the track to reality pant and the educator was raving about how comfy they were. I decided to try them too, and I couldn't decide which one I wanted....so I did what every Lulu Addict would naturally do and bought both!

Sooo....my wallet is drained. I spent $300 tonight. Ordered the check pacesetter last night. Spent $200 on the iris scuba, iris CRB, and plum alma. $118 on the Bliss break jacket the week before. I'm getting a DSF in inkwell and I am DONE. Hiatus. Banned. No more LLL for a very, VERY long time. Good job LLL. You have made vast improvements and now you are too much of a good thing.

A bit OT, but I just wanted to vent my frustration - since I was away on a short trip last week, I missed the midnight iris scubas being uploaded. They are completely sold out now, and lo and behold, when I check ebay, this one seller has nearly all the sizes selling them for $50 more plus ridiculous shipping charges. WTF. Sometimes I get the urge to message the seller and flat out tell them they are ripping people off, but I know it won't do any good. Same with countless other items going for double, close to triple the price! Unfortunately, there will always be someone willing to pay, further encouraging this 'business' :(

But I seriously wish there were some way for LLL to prevent this from happening (who else would buy multiples of the same item in every size every week?)

End of rant... lol :(

i usually wear a size 4 in all lll (size up to a 6 in define but not in the dsj - i have 3 and love them!!

Check out the new banners on the Aus/NZ site. I see plum in the flows and lots of other goodies:) Saw the new DSJ in the Christchurch lulu store today. They look great!! Plum, soot, black.

Ha! The Australian site changed the raspberry glo bra to black. I commented last week on that. You could see the models whole boob. She was practically naked. They changed it to black, but you can tell it was a poor computer edit.

I purchased both Inspires and only kept the inkwell. They both gave decent coverage in my tts 4 but the plum just has less versatility for me. I ended up ordering the plum stripe RFYL crops instead. They are both nice but I love inkwell, hope that helps.

On the Australian site, I also spy a plum swifty LS, groovy short in the check, heathered plum stripe in the short sleeve swiftly, chai time pullover (has a front pocket) in WISH BLUE....a royal blue.

Anonymous said...

Good find on the original scoop neck! Yay! I only hope that it isn't the sea-check disaster. I can't tell. It looks striped...like the old Discover stripe/inkwell/aqua. That still is my favorite combo.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone tried on the midnight iris WUP or WUC? Are they sheer?

Anonymous said...

I have the inkwell inspires and I actually ended up having to size down to a 2 ( I'm normally a 4 in inspires) I've lost weight and the 4's were crinkling under the bum in the 4. Point being, I sized down and still find them really good. Not too sheer upon bending over because of the dark blue color. Now, I have to add I have not examined them in daylight as i just got them. I love them so much I will keep them even if they are a bit sheer and just wear long tops! They are such an incredibly gorgeous color!!

Anonymous said...

New bras on the Australian site too - E cups rejoice!

Anonymous said...

The answer to your Q @ 8:21pm on the WUP Iris is slightly sheer during bend over test. I bought hem anyway since I love a patterned pant and my store had them in stock. They run tts.

Thanks for the feedback on the inspires!

Anon at 7:04 -- midnight iris scubas are available in all sizes except 10s on the US site and my local store also had a good stock of them when I was in last weekend. If you have a local store, definitely call or go look. If you don't have a local store (I assume you're in Canada where I see the scuba is sold out online), maybe someone in the US would angel one to you? I agree that the eBay resellers are incredibly frustrating.

I am 130 pounds, 5'2" with muscular legs as I CrossFit. I wear a 4 in shorts and 6 in crops (to avoid the muffin top syndrome) The Astro shorts looks promising, however, I experienced weird bunching in the crotch area, which gave me the appearance of camel toe. I tried on both the 4 and the 6. The 6 were too big in the waist, and still gave me the appearance of a camel toe due to bunching. Hopes this helps

Hi 5:34, I'm anon 7:04 - 2 of my local stores all sold out of my size particularly (weird!!) and I couldn't be bothered to drop by the 3rd one... I realized after typing that out my rant, that the US site had stock in all sizes so I ordered and had it shipped to my US address in Blaine (Im from Vancouver) :P muahaha! Take that evil bayers!
