That Breathe and Release tank is really really unflattering.

I recently got a product email from my local store that had the iconic wrap in spry blue. They never got it in. I was wondering if the wrap in blue is coming or if it was a fluke. Anyone else heard of this?

Anonymous said...

I got my black twin stripe power y. 54% polyester. Is this pretty high? It feels slippery, like kinda cheap.

LuluAddict said...

They've had 100% polyester print ones before. Having some polyester content is usual when the fabric has a print. I got the black Twin stripe a couple of days ago. I just love it.

I picked up an iconic wrap at my local store after they sold out online. I must say, the arms are tight!!! I have tiny lanky arms and the sleeves are even tight for me. If you have normal or an athletic build you may need to size up!

Anonymous said...

The Breathe and Release Tank is selling high on Ebay. Why does everyone want this tank so much?

Anonymous said...

@ 1:40 - Do you have the link to the picture?! I'd love to see it the spry blue iconic wrap!!

I wish the black twin stripe CRB had black trim like the Power Y tank.
How does Spry Blue compare to Snorkel??? I have a Snorkel Define jacket with microstripe interior neck and white zipper

I love that dog too. My grandmother had a harlequin great dane and he was the sweetest dog.

I wonder why they keep making the forme jacket, especially in so many colors. Do they not listen to feedback and not realize people dislike it? I guess I can apply my questions to all sorts of items LLL has messed up.

There are nice items they've made recently, items I love. But It just makes sense to get rid of an item so widely hated.

I thought for sure I was going to love the Iconic Wrap but today when I went to try it on in the store it looked TERRIBLE on me. I'm very petite and it completely overwhelmed me. Very disappointed, but I guess that's a good thing because it saved me $88...

However, I also tried on the Track & Train and the Fast Track tanks and loved both. I ended up buying the Fast Track because it was so amazingly flattering with the black on the sides.

Anonymous said...

I love, love the twin stripe prints but really don't like the feel with that much polyester. Even with my nimbus striped crb I felt the polyester when running in the hotter temps we have now and just didn't care for it.

Omg... I got my crops from YogaSmoga in the mail today and was so excited. They were completely transparent without bending over! I got black size 4 and I have lost 10 lbs since I ordered them 13 weeks ago. They felt super thin too! Has anyone else had this issue???

What a disappointment! I should be receiving my leggings next week but I'm sure ill have to return those too.

I think they rushed all of these orders and didn't pay attention to quality!

Saw Stuff Your Bra on MD at the Soho NYC store - $29! What a steal - reviews look good but didn't have my size sadly, only 2 & 12. They also had one Tame Me Tank for $39.

Anonymous said...

I love the forme jacket. It is a perfect fit and I get compliments every time I wear it. I think it just depends maybe how tall you are? I am 5'4".

Anonymous said...

I tried on the spry blue WUs today. I take between a 4 and 6, so I tried these on in a 6. They were semi-sheer as I could still kinda see my green and white striped underwear and the hang tag when I bent over. The fabric was really stretchy compared to other colors so this pair fit very loose at the back of the knees and in the butt. I didn't bother with the 4 because even though it would have probably fit better, I think they would have been more sheer. Too bad, these are a cute color and I like the feel of the fabric.

I tried the nimbus stripe Contempo jacket on as well. I think the nimbus stripe fabric is much thinner compared to what I remember the power purle and soot feeling like. This fit bigger in the body too compared to the soot. It was an easy pass and I'm waiting for the spry blue one to appear.

@anon 8.02 I got my Yogasmoga's and they feel great and thick. I ordered the black crops---fabric is great quality and definitely NO see thru. I am really liking their stuff. The fit is great on me. They also sent me a t-shirt which was so thoughtful. I am going to try the tanks next.

From your experience you may have ordered a size too small thus your problems. I think they are cutting the crops for a nice & tight fit so I would to say TTS and not go smaller on sizing.

Anonymous said...

@anon 8.02 The Yogasmoga fabric is really thick. I have the crops and leggings and really love how nice and thick they are.

Either you have the wrong size, or you work at lulu.

Got my Yoga Smoga crops! I had ordered a Size 4 earlier before they sold out and another one on pre-order that just came in. I am in love with them. It was definitely worth the wait. I think they took the time and incorporated some of our feedback as I feel the fit is better on the new Size 4 crop that I just received. I also really liked it that they made the effort to send me the cute heathered t-shirt for waiting (after letting me use 2 $50 codes). I am a happy camper and will be wearing a lot more Yoga Smoga in the future. I saw on their facebook page they are working on new styles and colors - I am looking forward to that.

@anon 8.02pm not sure what you are experiencing. There is no sheerness in my pants at all and all my friends who ordered them feel the same way-- they have more than ample coverage and the fit is pretty good.

Anonymous said...

I got my Yogasmoga crops yesterday. They are awesome. Great fabric and thick fabric. I did some squats infront of a mirror and nothing showed through. I am 5 feet 4 inches 118 lbs and the size 4 is a bit snug but I think a 6 might have been too big. Very happy with my purchase. I also got a t shirt with my order to thank me for my patience.

Anonymous said...

@802
That's very surprising to me. My YS crops are opaque, even when bending - no sheerness at all. And not super thin... But not as soft as my old WU crops.
All in all, I love my YS crops. I wear them to vinyasa, running, errands, lounging. I've had them for months and they still practically look new, except for some roughness in the crotch area.
I highly recommend!!

Anonymous said...

I got my yogasmogas yesterday. I got the black crops. The 4 (my tts) fit well and I didn't find them sheer. But I did find the material kind of scratchy. Anyone else find that? Maybe it's just bc I'm used to luxtreme, which, sheer or not, is super soft.

Mandy said...

@anon 8:02
I got my leggings from YS a while ago and they were totally opaque. That's odd that yours were so transparent... I hope my blue ones aren't like that. What's our world coming to? haha

Anonymous said...

@ 8:02... I have three pair of yogasmoga and not one is even close to transparent, even in a deep bend. If yours are you need to contact them and I am sure they will fix it.

I bought the spry blue wu...they were not sheer on me, first pants I've bought from lulu in a looooong time. Most of the other pants I tried on were sheer.

sophia said...

I've had no problem with black or blue, but the pink was sheer

LuluAddict said...

I am so happy (most) everyone is loving their Yogasmoga crops. The material is a bit scratchier than luon but it has much better compression, the dark black is visually slimming, and it wicks moisture and breathes really, really well. I love that they make both the material and sew the clothes in the US now. I am so excited to see what this company comes out with next.

Sara said...

I have yoga smoga black crops and blue leggings and they are completely opaque. They are not as soft as lululemon but I don't feel they are scratchy.

Anonymous said...

I just got my new yogasmoga's in the mail this morning and I am so happy with the product. Its nice, thick and gorgeous. Love all the design accents.

I am 5'5" and the India Blue Crops feel so great. Fit is amazing and they are totally opaque! Feels good to wear some good quality after all my substandard stuff from Lulu. I like the fabric far more than lulu fabric as it feels more substantial. I did a 3mile run in the crops and I thought it did better wicking than my lulu wv's.

Got a note + cute tee from CEO Rishi B. which was very thoughtful -- they are proud to make the items in the USA which I totally support--- so in love with this company.

@LLA I am also excited to see what they come out with. Seems like a solid company that I can get behind. Check out their Facebook, they posted some upcoming items recently.

LLA, it's really good to know the ys crops are really breathable. Do they soften after you wash/wear them? Thanks!

Rats Jumping off a sinking ship?
=======================

Lululemon Athletica Inc. LULU -1.47% said its chairman and founder Dennis "Chip" Wilson is planning to sell another chunk of his holdings worth more than $215 million, just weeks after a smaller share sale by the billionaire raised questions about its timing.

The Vancouver-based yoga-gear maker said in a regulatory filing that Mr. Wilson could sell 3.4 million shares, or about 2.34% of the company in the open market or via private transactions. Such a sale would take his ownership down to 25.41% from 27.75%.

Last month, Mr. Wilson sold about $50 million worth of shares four days before Lululemon's stock plummeted when the company released the unexpected news that its chief executive, Christine Day, was planning to leave the company. That sale was part of a prearranged trading plan he had set up months earlier.

The shares Mr. Wilson now may sell don't appear to be part of such prearranged plans, which let company executives and directors buy or sell shares under preset conditions even if they have inside information when the trades occur.

Lululemon didn't specify when the stock sales would take place, but said the shares could be sold into the market or via private transactions.

A company spokesman didn't respond to requests for comment Friday. Mr. Wilson, who founded Lululemon in 1998 after selling a surf and skate-wear company, remains the company's largest shareholder.

Following news of the stock sales plan, Lululemon shares fell 95 cents, or 1.5%, to $63.55, while the broader market rose around 1%. Lululemon shares are down 17% in the year to date.

Under Ms. Day, who has been Lululemon's CEO since June 2008, Lululemon shares surged fivefold as revenue from the business more than quintupled to $1.37 billion.

The shares have been on a roller-coaster ride so far this year, tumbling in March after it was revealed that fabric in some of Lululemon's popular yoga pants was too see-through, prompting a recall. The shares staged a rebound as the company worked quickly to fix the problems.

On June 10, though, Ms. Day said she would step down as soon as her replacement could be found, sending shares down 17% the following day, wiping out gains from the rebound. Ms. Day said the time is right to find a leader to drive the next phase of the company's growth.

When Mr. Wilson's $49.5 million stock sale was disclosed Wednesday that week, Lululemon shares fell another 5%. A statement from Mr. Wilson's assistant in response to a Wall Street Journal query about those sales last month said he had no influence over the timing of the trades.

Those sales were part of a prearranged trading plan that Mr. Wilson set up to sell 5.7 million Lululemon shares over an 18-month period starting in January. Around 40% of those shares have so far been sold.

The shares that Lululemon this week said Mr. Wilson filed to sell don't appear to be part of prearranged plans. David Martin, a securities lawyer at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C., said sales of the 3.4 million in shares "presumably won't happen if they have material nonpublic information."

Mr. Wilson got the idea for the company after attending a yoga class in Vancouver. He served as its chief executive until 2005, the year he sold a 48% stake in the company to private-equity investors for $108 million. Lululemon went public in 2007. Mr. Wilson's ownership in the company is currently worth about $2.5 billion.

Since announcing her intention to leave, Ms. Day also has been reducing her ownership in the company. She sold roughly $20 million worth of stock in June, and currently holds about $2.2 million in Lululemon shares, according to data from Standard & Poor's CapitalIQ and regulatory filings.

Good to hear on the YS quality. Looking forward to receiving mine and I'm confident they're not sheer if you're in the right size. I stuck to my tts 4.

Shakti Activewear has some funky crops on sale. Go to the "choose options" drop down, there are 9 versions. The ones shown in the link are known as Pink Cotton. Some people might really like Rainbow Sunbeam and Koko Brown. I just ordered a pair of new side string shorts for Bikram Yoga.

YogaSmoga crop. Received my carbon (black) Run Jump Play crop and absolutely NO sheerness here. Even purposely wear a white, full bottomed panty just to check the sheerness factor. Husband did a thorough check in all kinds of deep bends and squats. Passed with flying colors. Ordered my usual lulu size 2 (I can wear both 2 or 4 in lulu, depending on fabric). My pink crop will arrive next Tuesday and am very excited about that. The "gift" t shirt fits perfect too. :)

I buy lll for my teenage daughter who is a figure skater. It's very difficult to find good quality practice apparel for skaters once they are out of little girl's sizes, especially if you don't want all black. And skating clothes are NOT cheap so the price has never shocked me. When you are on the ice for 3-4 hours a day 6 days a week, this serves as the bulk of her wardrobe. She had to size down in the Forme to get rid of the squared off shoulders and loose, long sleeves. She still prefers the Define, but doesn't mind the Forme because the colors are nice. I still wish they'd go back to the Define though. It's definitely a better product. By far. I'm not sure why they didn't make the wide range of colors in the Define when they were making it. Now the Forme comes in every color of the rainbow, but I really don't want to buy them because I know they aren't that wonderful for the price.

Nothing interest sme here, except for the great dane. I visited a store today and found myself liking a few older stuffs: voyage crops and clarity tank. They are sooo comfy and should look really cute together.

Anonymous said...

I just got my YS crops in the mail and I love them! They are definitely thick and opaque. Not quite as soft but really lovely on. I was debating between a 2 or a 4 and after consulting with Annie, decided to go with a 2. They fit great, except they cut in a little at the waist. Not sure if I should keep these or try the size 4. Anyone else have this issue?

Anonymous said...

Update! Yogasmoga customer service is AWESOME and they genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their product. After emailing them I was contacted immediately via phone about my issue. I was on the larger side of the size 4 going by the size chart and should have ordered a 6.

After dealing with lululemon "educators" and their attitudes for so many years it was nice to experience true customer service!

Anonymous said...

@8:02:
Me too!! I have one pair (black, size 6, crops) that I got from the first batch (pre-backorder). Totally opaque, even left the white tag in. With all the Lulu nonsense, I've tested them quite a bit to make sure.

Pair #2 arrived this week, along with a free t-shirt (nice touch). Was planning on wearing them next week, then I saw your post. Thank you! Supposedly the exact same crops (black, 6), absolutely the exact same me, lighting, mirror, etc, and you can see my bum and the tag when I bend over. So maybe we're unlucky, or everyone else has an "old" batch, but you're right, bum showing.

Also, even the first pair is scratchy, heavier, and does not breathe as well as Luon or the Under Armour studio luxe. For $38 I was willing to put up with it since they covered my bum. Pair #2 for $38 + bum showing, they are likely going back. Sigh.

Did anyone notice the Nimbus Pacesetter fit smaller and shorter than the other prints? I just got mine in the mail today and ordered my normal size 6 in both regular and tall. Both were a little difficult to pull up as the waistband stitching was not stretchable but the 6 fit so much tighter and smaller than my other 9 pacesetters! And the length of the Tall was actually just right!?! Or did I gain weight and grew taller recently? Hmmmm...

Wore my spry blue CRB today. My boyfriend commented that it is a nice color. It really is - so bright and cheery.

I'm on the lookout for either the red speeds or the red track attack shorts. They will look great with both the spry blue and soot light crbs.

Maybe someone should open a Yoga Smoga blog.. I have no interest in reading all these comments when I'm trying to catch up on lastest about Lulu.
I received my Heathered White Iconic wrap yesterday after ordering Monday night.. have yet to try it on, also got the soot and twin stripe spry blue crb's.. super cute! Haven't worn those yet either.

I have my eye on the contempo jacket, fast track tank and the track and train tank (I think that's what it's called), anyway, I rely heavily on this blog for sizing tips since I've got to order online. If it's handy for anyone, can I please get the length measurements in these? From the shoulder all the way down to the bottom hem. I'm 5'10, 155 lbs and muscular. I'm hoping these tops will be long enough for me. Thanks SO much!!!!!

Anon 5:48 did you hear back from YS? I haven't heard back yet and my crops were sheer too. I used the size chart on their website when I ordered.

Anonymous said...

I received my Yogasmoga Crops a couple of days ago both in black and in India Blue and I love them. There is no sheerness whatsoever - the fabric is nice and thick.

anon 5.48/anon 6.56 you need to oder your correct size. I find the YS fit to be true to size so if you are sizing down you will have a problem-- send them a email --- their customer service is awesome and they are super helpful. I wear a 4 in lll wu's and I ordered 4's in YS Run Jump Play and the sizing is the same --- the Run Jump Play from YS fits me better.

I also noticed that YS used a oval gusset which does not give me CT. I get a lot a CT in WU with the triangle gusset - not sure if others have this problem with the triangle gusset - for me I prefer the oval - let me know what you ladies think of the triangle gusset in the WU's (my old ones have oval gusset) so looks like lulu moved to the triangle gusset at some point.

Anon 2:36, news flash: this is not your blog so take your sense of entitlement--as to what it contains/discusses--elsewhere. I'm appreciative to readers here who introduced me to YogaSmoga and for LLA for keeping us informed and of course, securing a discount for LLA readers. Definitely appreciate readers giving their feedback and experiences with YS product and customer service. My crops will arrive next week.

As for your ever so "useful" info. You received your order but have no fit or performance reviews to offer and you haven't even tried on the bloody wrap. It's one thing to say you're so excited to have received an order and no time to wear, but will report back. Obviously, coupled with your snide comment could make us care less about your order or your experience with the clothes, or lack thereof.

Anon@1:42 - The nimbus skirts have been pulled from the website for some reason. Maybe they mislabeled them judging from your experience? Maybe call GEC about it...

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 1:42 pm @ anon 9:21 pm- the nimbus striped pace setter skirts have a major fit problem. I have read they fit super small and the waist has no stretch. I've read they were pulled from stores, too.

OT, but thanks everyone for sharing feedback on YS! Is anyone still waiting for their tippy toe leggings? I ordered them in April and have not received a shipping notification.

Anonymous said...

I found the YS crops scratchy. Not a huge fan. Probably wouldn't order another pair. I emailed Customer Service a few days ago and haven't received a response. Would be willing to give their tanks a try if they come out with some interesting styles.

Anonymous said...

@ 6:28 AM, just e-mail them on the status of your order #. They are good at getting back to you quickly. However, I'm pretty sure all the back ordered items are now rolling out, probably in the order of orders placed.

Anonymous said...

@ 8:02 I just tried on my ys crops and found them very thick and opaque. I wear a size four and actually gained weight since I first ordered them in April (about 5 lbs). I thought the tshirt and letter was a very nice touch.

Mandy said...

I wonder if its a specific fabric/colour of YS that's sheer? I didn't have any problems with my black ones.
Ideas?

LuluAddict said...

@ Mandy - could be the pink ones. They are definitely less opaque than the blue or the black.

luluFemom said...

Lol @ sophia - "still sheer and shity" - maybe that'll be on the new banners for July. ;)

Hi there @Anon 2.57pm and @Anon 3.21pm-

I have my tippy toe leggings on back order too.

I understand that it's the crops that have been shipping the last week or so, and the leggings are next in the queue behind them. I emailed YS a little while back.

Maybe within a week or two? So excited to get these beauties, all the pictures I've seen have been gorgeous!!

Anonymous said...

I ordered a Tippy Toe Leggings and a Run Jump Play Crop. YS sent me the crop already and said that the Tippy Toe is in production right now and they will ship as soon as the production is complete.

Annie at Cust Service told me that there is a slight delay in the Leggings as the US factory does a mandatory close for a week for July 4th. I am happy that they are making the stuff in a ethical manner and the workers do get a break for the holiday.

Anonymous said...

@ Anon July 6, 2013 at 8:44 P and 2:36 P not sure why you are getting so defensive, all I said was this is a Lulu blog and I don't like reading half the YS comments..I'm not entitled to my opinion? I do try other work out brands, not that that particularly matters.

Maybe you guys need to "get a life" and "start your own blog" and take your snappy attitudes somewhere else, I don't feel the need to argue with anonymouses over the internet. Lighten up people.

Anonymous said...

I have had no sheerness trouble with my YS.

Anonymous said...

Why does anon 5:25 PM sound so much like YS itself responding here to everyone wondering about their leggings? "I understand ...."

Anonymous said...

Anon 7:26 it was you with your attitude who started it. Not sure how long you have been following this blog, but LLA does review or comment other brands. YS is not the first one and I hope not the last one she will review here. Also, if you dont like reading comments about other brands or YS in particular, just look at the pictures and skip the comments altogether. Life is simple. Good luck

Anonymous said...

Another happy yogasmoga customer here. I also received my run, jump and play crops. Nice and thick, no sheerness. The waist is higher than the WU crops, and I felt like there was a little more material in the hips/waist region, but that may be because I should have sized down.
Does anyone know if there is still an 8-12 week wait for new orders?

MY run fast track shorts with the raspberry glow stripes and yellow bled after the second wash. I really enjoyed running in the heat in those shorts, got home after a 4 mile run, washed in cold water and hung them to dry. the next day I went to put them in my bag and there was pink and yellow bleeding all over the light purple color. its a bummer. I also ordered the striped spry blue ones because I love the fit of those shorts.
The bleeding is annoying.

@ anon 6:36am - I was thinking the same exact thing! Also, if you notice the timing of a lot of these comments were made in the middle of the night, used the same language and the same timing shortcuts (2.36, 5.25, etc.) never 2:36, 5:25. That definitely stood out to me. Look at the comments on July 6 at 1:37, 1:48am, and 2:39am - all similar style.
