Sizzle Mens Items and a Rumor

I was all excited to see Sizzle Pace Breaker shorts come out but my husband was not nearly as enthusiastic. To be fair he still hasn't take the tags off the Love Red ones I got him for Father's Day but still, these yellow Pace Breakers are fun! I am also liking the blue - Hampton Blue - 5 Year tee paired with it.

I am not as big a fan of the new Mini Mod Waves Printed Love Red Pace Breakers. They look picnic tablecloth-ish to me. They are paired with a Metal Tech Vent tee in Sizzle.

Example of Wunder Under Grooves

I read a rumor today that Wunder Under Groove crops are supposed to be coming back (hope this is a better rumor than Defines making a comeback). WUGs have a higher waistband than regular WUs and it's double ringed or quilted like Groove pants. I think they are tiny bit more roomy in the legs than regular Wunder Unders and many people (me included) prefer them to regular Wunder Unders.

I want to be excited, I really do.. I absolutely loved the WUGs! But even if the WUGs do make a comeback, they'll probably be sheer anyways. Unfortunately, I can't trust lululemon at all until they actually make some kind of improvement in quality....

While i like the sizzle colour, i'm hoping it comes in the swiftly tech racerback tank. Hopefully it will soften the shade just a bit.

They should make the pace breaker for females I would be all over those yellow ones they look like board shorts.

Would love to see some non-sheer Astro Wunder Unders. Those are my favorite.

The Sizzle Pace Breakers are bright, but that's a good thing for a running short, IMHO. I wouldn't want my man sporting such bright shorts around town, but if they make him more visible to cars on a run, I'm all for it.

Agreed, hard to get excited:(

Have any of you purchased the mod moves crop? Are you happy with them? I am hesitating because of the reviews regarding busted seams. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank goodness the speedy sunrise pics have stopped.

I totally second the call for Astro WUs! Love those. They are just so much more forgiving at the waist.

Just had to share as many of you lulu lovers can appreciate. I missed out on the soot light CRB, boooo. Anywho, as we do I've been stalking the website ever since for a cheeky update on the odd bit of product, which rarely happens and last night...JACKPOT, it was like 11pm downunder time, where I'm at and must have been like 4am your time, when BOOM soot light CRB in a 6 only, my size, updated. Man did I grab that little sucker!! So happy. The shipping I'll have to pay to get it downunder will be as much as the CRB but when you love something, just do it. I know I'll have this at the top of my pile forever as it goes with everything. We havent had it uploaded down here yet which in my research opinion means we won't. Its only the 2nd time ever I've had a brilliant AHA Lulu moment. GOLD!!!
On another product, my serene T arrived yesterday. Beautiful!!! In soot light with the nimbus sleeve. TTS and just divine!!! Looks like it will wash well, soft and not sheer. My iconic wrap also arrived. Man I see what people are saying about the sleeves. I purchased in a 4, and my arms fit in ok but if your a little gifted in the guns department its a definite size up. I have lean muscular arms, crossfitters beware.

OT- but i thought people might be interested. I was the one who had bought the run swiftly v-neck and experienced terrible pulling after 1 wear. i had a bad in store experience, where i was lectured about "delicate fabrics" and then after buying a crb was told how to and how not to wear it. i sent in a complaint about my experience, and after (not so pleasant) calls and emails, they're sending me a rather large gift card. although it took a week to get here, i'm pleased they're admitted that i shouldn't have experienced that amount of pilling and that their educator was out of line in the way she spoke to me.

To anyone in the Toronto area who has been in the store recently....has anyone spotted the Wandering Yogi tanks in store? I had one saved in my online basket Wednesday morning, but when I went back to purchase it later that day, my size (6) was sold out in all three colours! I tried calling a few different stores and left messages but haven't had a response back. I live about an hour outside the city and would like to know if its worth my while to make the trek in! :)

Anon at 10:49 - I have the Mode Moves crop and absolutely love them. I wear them for running and crossfit and have had zero problems with the seams. I wear size 6 in WUC so got a 6 in Mod Moves too and I've never had a pair of crops fit so well! They are a tiny bit sheer in the bottom of a squat but a) I'm too busy squatting to care and b) I usually have darker sports underwear on anyways.Hope this is helpful to you.

Hi Anon 10:49... I have 2 pair of Mod Moves Crops that I love! I have a pair of the zippy green and the white. I also had a pair of the all black too that I swapped for the white. I didn't experience popping with any of them, and on me they are all substantial. i not only use them for running, but bootcamp and spin. I might have lucked out...? I originally tried on a 4 and 6, and opted for keeping the 4's. I am 5'6" and 115 lbs. good luck!

I have a pair of WU Grooves from the last release. I got them from wmtm. I didn't think I'd dig them as much as regular WU's but they are awesome, one of the most comfortable crops I own. And definitely not sheer.

However, I'm with the others who think the new ones might be sheer. I agree; I have no faith in LLL crops or pants these days.

I did buy the Love Red Speed Shorts with quilt waistband. I normally would never go for this bright a bottom, even in a short, but I really like them!

To Anon @ 10:49,

I loved my mod moves crops at first...especially the large pocket on the sides! It fit my iphone so well...

What I didn't like was how the length bunched up at my knees. I don't know if you are short, but I'm 5'7. They would pull up and be bunched at the knees. I bought them because they were not knee length!

With the popping. Yes, I had to take mine back for busted seams. If you hear popping, your seams are ripping. There's something with the seams that connect the two different fabrics....like it can't support it. Mine looked fine at first, because I didn't see any holes....after a few hours, I looked down and I had three large loops hanging out. Back they went!

I really want the red mod moves, but I'm not going to even bother with temptation. I might go back and buy the red inspires. They weren't sheer on me. (Granted I size up on luxtreme over luon) They were a LOT better than the pizazz crops....those were like panty hose.

I'm so disappointed, I ordered the track attack shorts in the new gray stripe color. I have a pair of black ones that I LOVE in size 6 that fit perfectly. The gray stripe 6 is huge compared to the black, I definitely need a 4. I wasn't sure if I'd like the 2-way stretch but it is still very soft & comfortable...too bad I now have to either drive 45mins each way to a lulu store, or pay to send them back. It is so frustrating that they don't have consistent sizing!! It is bad enough between different items, but the same shorts??

I want to be excited about the WUGC but after trying on the "new" black WUC I fear that they will never be the same WUC that I adore.

@10:49

Hi there! i just bought the mod moves crop in the love red today. I like the design with the colors and all but for some reason, their stitching for these crops are not high quality looking. I haven't used them so I can't tell you if they get undone easily but just from the looks of it I don't like the stitching... I kept debating with myself if I should buy them or not for an hour but I ended up buying them anyway to decide at home. But honestly, I should not have. I broke my #1 rule in shopping: if in doubt, I probably didn't want it. So I think I will return them.

It might just be the nature of the fabric. Even on the side pockets (and you can see this online too) the fabric is pulling and it's not set smoothly on the models. This stuff bothers me if I'm paying $88 for pants to run in.

So I hope this kind of helps you.

:)

So I just have to say, I am pretty in love with my Splits 59 capri tights. I find that I reach for them whenever they're clean and in my drawer....even over my WUC from 2-3 years ago!! I like that the waistband sits low across my hips and just...sits there. It doesn't dig in. My WUC, no matter what, created a line. I'm super lean through my midsection, and so I like a fitted, streamlined look. These don't move either. They've been through an insane number of thrusters, burpees, 400m sprints, double unders, you name in.
Just wanted to comment on that since I know many of us are looking for a LLL alternative.

Oh.Em.GEEE!!!! Wunder Under Grooves!!! They are my favorite crop EVER!!!

I would LOVE to see the return of WU grooves!! And Astro WUs also!

To Anon @ July 19, 2013 at 1:47 PM, I've been checking various downtown TO stores but have not seen the Wandering Yogi halter, not even Eatons which usually carries almost everything. I'm hoping the shipment is just delayed, as it was with the Love Red bangbuster. I'm surprised you weren't able to get an educator on the phone though, the Queen St West, Cumberland and Eaton stores are quite good at answering their phones. The Scarborough one not so much though...

Anonymous at 1:15pm - can I ask what you did to get Lulu USA to ship to Australia (do you have a USA postal address set up?). I might have to do this. Ivivva still ship to Australia (not having any outlets here) so I am going to try them out when they have things back in stock in a size 14.
As for Mod moves crops, I bought some instore 2 weeks ago - they look like a great fabric for summer (find normal luon to heavy for ashtanga yoga when it's hot). When I brought them home to try on again, the stitching seemed to make a popping noise :/ and they were definitely see through in a full forward bend with stripey underwear! I loved the grey stripe pattern so much, I'm still going to wear them - with black underpants. The fit and compression would be great for gym or running, I think I can still get away with them for yoga!
