More of the Latest and a New Fabric: Full-On Luon

Blissed Out shorts photos. They are made of French Terry. I read a report they run TTS or even on the larger side.

More photos of the Blue Moon and Slate Commuter Denim Scuba Stretch hoodies.

New Deep Vs are coming in Spry Twin Stripe, Sizzle Twin Stripe, and Love Red

Hip to Be Zen halter tanks.

Spry Amped Crops

Serene SS Tee and Love Red Will Crop.

Also, lululemon has announced a new fabric, called full-on luon, on their blog today:

Full-On Luon® has all the same performance characteristics as the Luon® we know and love: it’s moisture wicking, has four-way stretch and a cotton hand feel. It also provides increased support and coverage thanks to a tight-knit construction. It feels snug against the body: think of it like a bear hug.

Based on the description I wonder if the fabric feels like the original silver luon that came out three years ago. That fabric was on the thicker side and more compressive than regular luon yet still very breathable. The Challenge Tank remains one of my favorite tanks. The first item to use full-on luon will be Wunder Under pants, arriving in Canada this week and US next week. I am curious to try this new fabric but I've never been much of a WU pant fan.

This is like when McDonald's came out with "all white meat" chicken nuggets - it made me think, "Oh, so what I was getting all those times previously, for years and years, was not?" Full-On Luon is what we should have been getting these past few years, especially the last 1.5 - 2 years when behinds have been sheer city. They should change the name of what they call "regular" Luon to "Not-good-enough Luon".

I have a few pairs of short shorts called the Heat Wave shorts that I purchased 9 years ago. Made of good ol' original Luon. Wore each pair 2 times a week for 4 years BEFORE there was any pilling. Not ripping, not seams coming apart, just pilling. They are still good to wear, because the pilling on them is less than the pilling on some newer pants that I have purchased in the past year, and this newer pair has been worn 4-5 times only.

Anyway, not even sure if I believe Full-On Luon will be effective. Maybe it will just be another half-assed attempt to fix things, ie. put a new spin on things. You know, like how they could not fix dye bleeding so they progressed to blaming normal human sweat. Now in their minds, that problem is solved.

Have you heard of the new Lululemon feedback site? Lulumum blogged about it today. Anyways I noticed that the highest rated post was something about having more cute/inspirational sayings on the clothes and voila the hoodie has something embroidered. It makes me highly suspicious of that site and whether the highly rated items will be planted by staff so the customers think they're responding to feedback.

Spotted today in store:

- spry twin stripe free to be bra
- sizzle and love red featherweight singlet
- all new scubas

The blissed out shorts were cute but not cheap considering the hems aren't finished...either $58 or $68.

Maybe they could call the old stuff "Full Moon" Luon since that is what we see! Ha ha....

OT- but do any of the ladies in OC know if SCP has the love red fly away tamer? They aren't online anymore :(

The blissed out shorts look comfy but $58 for 2 1/2 of terry material is RIDICULOUS. You can even tell on the models that they roll up too.

Full-on-Luon sounds like what the regular luon used to be? But all I want is another pair of black WUC that are compressive & not sheer. I don't care what they want to call it lol, but I hope they don't think they are fooling anyone with all these dumb marketing tactics.

How long are you wanting theses hoodies? I just purchased the Nimbus Groovy Stripe scuba a few weeks ago...I found the length to be just right. 2-3 inches below the hip bone, a few inches above the crotch....and I'm 5'7.

I'm curious to see a comparison on the length of an older "original" scuba to a new one. I compared my laceoflauge scuba to my groovy stripe one, and my new one is about 2" longer.

I feel like people will continue to complain about the length until they are as long as the contempo. Wearing a hoodie to your crotch is not that flattering on most people....especially when their hips are bigger than their chest.

Just like people always complaining about the color ( meh....), there's always someone bitching about the length and its annoying.

haha @ anon 7:01 - perfect comparison! :)

The blissed out shorts look so comfy but for $58? I can pick some up at Target probably for $25.

what ever "meh" lady that is weird!! i'll never stop complaining about the length and i know a slew of others that concur!! and length going to the crotch looks great when your broad from behind a too short jacket makes the bum look HUGE!!!!! also don't forget about the warmth factor for those of us living in climates that can use that coverage for warmth which is why you wear a hoodie!!!! Go ahead w/ your Meh's that is very strange wonder if you actually say that word? anyway i do like to argue over such trivial things don't think i am hating on you this is all in good humor btw so please no one get bent!!!

I'm a scuba stretch hater and proud of it-I've got 5 older scubas in heavy rotation (live next to the coast even in July we have marine layer gloom!)and refuse to buy a scuba stretch.

I would have purchased 5 more had they not changed the design.

The fit is all wrong, I am 5'9" and already almost freakishly tall (I mean that lovingly-I like being tall) but with a short scuba all my proportions are off and I am all legs and no torso.

What garment has arms that are almost a foot longer than the torso? Makes no sense.

Instead I recently paid $120 for a Surge Dance Sing Floss Travel hoodie on eBay. Lulu gets none of that money.

When in past years I've spent $3k-$5k on Lulu I am still under $500 for the year so far. All my lulu money is now going to ebay for older stuff with the good Luon.

I'm worried about the new luon-if that happens to be an abysmal failure they may be doomed...

Long live the scuba stretch haters!
