Some of the Latest and a Rumor

More Lighthearted Tank photos. The top photo kind of cracks me up since it's all sheer - Lighthearted Tank and white Street to Studio crops. The bottom photo looks the best since it's layered over a full length tank.

Solid Beach Blanket Blue Inspire Crops. Shown with the Silver Lining LS and Swiftly Tank.

I really like that she is wearing her clothes on the looser side here - Clarity Tank and Power Purple Studio Crops.

Beach Blanket Blue Gather and Crow Crops with a Power Purple Forme Jacket.

The Paceline Jacket and Short. This is from an Australian store.

Also, I read a rumor that the Defines may be coming back. Not sure how solid this rumor is so don't take it to heart.

What's with all the sheer tanks and tees? If I have to fully layer underneath, then I wouldn't need them in the first place?!

Anonymous said...

That's just silly - why would I need a see through shirt over my power y tank?!?

a) i was hoping the rumor was they were getting a new ceo who can reset the course of the company

b) DEFINE'S COMING BACK?!?!!? YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

I went into the Santana Row store today with the intention of trying on both of the new tanks Clarity and Front racer. Personally I like front racers but I saw one thing LLL did wrong right away, which is not to make the back also racer, so you could wear it for casual wear with a normal racerback bra...and yes, that is the case.

The FR is really long, a good 6 inches longer than the CT. I tried on the black and actually liked how substantial the fabric felt. As much as I like a front racer neckline this one was choking me, way too high and narrow. The armpits were cut too dramatically almost not sitting right on my chest (pulling), and for those two reasons it was a no go for me, even on sale the design just is not comfortable period. The fact that it is only "workout" appropriate (with a bra showing) seals the deal.

I did buy both the black and green Clarity as I knew I would. I love the deep scoop and love the thick straps making it look more like a sleeveless t-shirt. Oh, but it is much shorter as I mentioned, much shorter. The white is going to be a pass. Again, not versatile for street because of the sheerness.

Two additional tanks I bought that surprised me, but the tags still on...

A white swiftly tank. The first swiftly tank I've bought since they fixed the low armpit problem (a couple of years). I'm just not sure of the white. My white/violet SS swiftly looks dingy to me. Any body else have that problem with their white swiftly's?

The green striped PY! I know! I haven't bought a PY since they went to luon light, and I am not a fan of stripes but... I thought this bright green looked fresh, not so yellowy neon, and I found the bigger stripes to be flattering. BUT the white stripe that goes across the bust is see through and you can see the separation of the built in bra plain as day. The only reason why I might keep it is that my husband really liked the color and look (summery he said) and he also said that he didn't know that he was looking at the bra underneath, it just looked like part of the design....I don't know though...

Nothing else was even tempting me at all. But neither did the last two in the first place! Oh, on sale were lots of see through jackets, those short cotton jackets, cardio tanks, the shorts and skirts with the astro band colored pace tights (long). It sounds like the usual stuff.

oh LLA, you better be SO right and I am going to hold you accountable if the Defines don't come back!!! ;) That would be super fantastic if it happened! Where did you hear this from

Anonymous said...

I knew that Defines would make a comeback at some point.
Were they still making Defines currently I'm sure I would've purchase 2 or 3 in the last few months.
Guess how many Formes I've bought.....big fat 0!

@ anon 4:31 pm - don't hold me accountable. ;-) This is the barest rumor but I know how much people have missed the Define (me included) so I hope it's true.

Oh Goody!

Now can they bring back the Scoop Neck in proper Lulon and start doing the Power Y in real Lulon instead of just as online teasers, not to mention changing the gusset back on the Yoga pants and making sure our butts don't shine through the pants mooning everyone.

Oh yes and give us some jackets at a proper length and some wraps in the winter and some cuddle up jackets.

That's just for starters!

Was at the store today. So disappointed to see they changed the drawstring on the studio crops - the new power purple ones have cheap white plastic instead of metal at the ends. It was so ugly, made then look like cheap kids clothes. I was totally going to buy them too if not for this. So sick of the cheapening of the products!!!!

Sadly I worry that the define won't be the same if it does return. Not trying to be negative but LLL has really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Anonymous said...

Hope they bring back strides too!!!

I wanted a Pump it Up Jacket, but they never made it online. Why was that, I wonder?

Anonymous said...

so hope the rumor os true!!!!

Tried on the new beaming blue reversible wunder unders today. Was so annoyed that it was completely see through. The Luon seems more stretchy and shows every wrinkle and polka dot on your underwear. Was so fed up, decided to buy a pair of yoga smoga crops in India blue. Hope they are as great as everyone says!

The lady in the top photo - where was that taken? That city shows up so often in pics and it just looks gorgeous. Must put on the bucket list of places to visit. Thanks all!

And I pray the Define comes back as well. And that Lulu gets their schizz together.

Thanks for all your work LLA. You do a great job.

5:18 I totally agree! I am very cautiously excited about the return of the define, but I don't trust lll quality anymore. I've spent a small fortune on ebay over the past few weeks gathering older lll pieces (including defines) and I have a feeling I won't be sorry that I did, even if the Define does make a reappareance.

Anonymous said...

Goes to show how far LLL has fallen -- they can't even move the Cardio Kick tank out of WMTM. Last I checked, it's still available in all colors for all sizes.

Anonymous said...

I didn't know about LLL when define jackets were still on the market so I know nothing about it. What's so good about define? I google imaged it and it looks just like Forme Jacket... Is it really that much better than other jackets LLL is offering right now?

@7:16

Not sure about the location on that top photo, (don't recognize the rail line) but many of the other photos with the majestic rocky mountains in the background in other posts were taken in Banff, Alberta. Banff is one of the most beattiful places in the world. Should put it on your bucket list of places to visit.

I absolutely LOVE the material, feel, compression, coverage and fit of my yoga smoga crops! Going to be buying another pair....

No lulu pants...I agree they have so cheapened on the details and it makes a huge difference in quality.

Anonymous said...

I know right?! The quality of the pump it up jacket was really good quality wise... I checked the stitching and I liked the fit too.

Anonymous said...

Well the fit is much better and my fav part were the cuffins!

The differences between the forme jackets and the define jackets are very subtle, but these subtle differences make big differences for some people.

I find the define jackets to be much more flattering. Something in the cut of the forme jackets just makes my chest look odd, very odd, where the same place on the define jacket enhances my chest.

As much as I am excited to hear that there is a possibility LLL is bringing back the define - I can't help but feel a cold, harsh and plausible reality.... that it will be cheapened.

I say this because they have done this with all of their best selling garments to cut costs with their recent expansion. If they had no shame with the grooves, scuba, stride and WU... what is to stop them from changing the define.

The Scuba change hit me hard, the Grooves really put me on edge... but if they ruin my FAVOURITE jacket - the Define, I am done with them.

I would not be able to bare a cheaper zipper, cheaper fabric, shorter length ... I think I speak for all ladies here that if the Define is brought back - they BETTER not cheapen it.

Banff, Alberta- I know those mountains :) but if you are truly after mountains and wilderness go to Jasper Alberta- less tourists and better trails/hikes- just no lululemon!

LuluAddict said...

@anon 11:06 pm - that is my fear, too. It will be made out of the same paper thin luon the crappy Forme and Daily Yoga jackets are made of. I hope I'm wrong.

I just saw the product notification email from our local showroom & there was a Power Purple Scoop Neck Tank on it! I think someone mentioned it was coming back, but I hadn't seen it anywhere yet. I'm pretty excited!!

Anonymous said...

@7:22 PM haha I just checked, all sizes in all colors are still available...fail!

Anonymous said...

I don't know why I get excited about WMTM anymore it's just the crappiest of the crap. That horrid running jacket is there. It looks like a full body condom. And there are several people that gave it 5 stars. WTH? Lulu must make employees write glowing reviews or something.

I, too, fear that if the Define comes back it will suck. I'm still stalking some on eBay.

LuluAddict said...

@ Jamie - I saw that PN. I think they used an old photo of a Scoop Neck tank instead of a new photo of a Scoop Me Up tank. It's a mistake.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 7:05 am - I tried that jacket on. It felt weird against bare skin.

Anonymous said...

The lady on the top photo. makes those sheer things look great, she looks strong and beautiful, nice photo.

I agree that the WMTM is a disappointment. I tried the cardio kick tank on last week...I could go for a black one, but maybe if it was cheaper. There was such a huge difference between the 6 and the 8. I would get a Throw Me Over Hoodie if it was $29.

I received my $29 Warm Up Crew, and I am so happy I purchased that. The fabric is thick and stretchy! WMTM win!

I'm finding it difficult to want to purchase some of the items LLL has due to the cheapening of the product: plastic instead of metal tie ends, sheer everything, and lack of cup inserts on every purchase.

However, if that Power Purple CRB is indeed made in Canada...it may be a sign of good things to come?

Jamie Barba said...

Aw man! Bummer!

LuluAddict said...

@ Miss Drea83 - every now and then a few items are made in canada - usually CRBs, WUs, Scoop Neck tanks, and Power Ys

Unknown said...

Why does power purple look like so many different color purple?? I really LOVE the dark but hate the light easter egg-y color!

MissDrea83 said...

Thanks LuluAddict! I don't have any of those items except CRBs.

Has anybody tried the cycling line?

Sorry to say I'm not really getting my hopes up about the defines coming back. I agree with some other comments in that I feel it just won't be the same. They've really lost me as a customer and would have to do a complete 180 to get me back. I'm tired of their shenanigans and I'm not wasting more of my time ordering stuff and having to send it back because it feels and looks cheap.

Looser? Really? Just not too-small!

Hey everyone.. I too have become somewhat disappointed with some of the changes I've noticed with Lulu products over the years... I have to share this new brand I came across in a yoga studio in San Diego- it's called Glyder. www.work-sweat-play.com is the website.. Lots of great core styles in fabric that to me feels the same as " luon" . I guess they are a new brand or something but i am excited! The prices are MUCH better...in the 50 dollar range for crops:) ... I may be shopping with them more often:)
