Pizzaz Pace Breaker Shorts and More

Pizzaz Pace Breaker Shorts. To me, the color looks pretty close to Dazzling Orange from last year. US stores are starting to get some Pizzaz items in.

The Zippy Green Runbeam Pullover and matching Mod Moves Crops.

Twiggy print Breeze By shorts and matching Runbeam Hoodie. I didn't get mine yesterday, after all. It turns out my order from Monday is still processing - grrr. I'll call later to straighten it out.

I wore my Sun Chaser run hat the other day on a three mile run and really liked it - it's super lightweight and airy. Also shown in this photo is a scoop neck Swiftly LS and Inspire crops.

Zippy Green Bold Stripe CRB and matching Breeze By Skirt.

The White/Nimbus Runbeam Hoodie.

Soot Contempo Jacket and Twiggy Print Wunder Unders.

The lady in the zippy green skirt and CRB looks great in that outfit, she has the right body type for those clothes.
I really like the hoodie, but it's oh so pricey.

that skirt looks like diaper butt why the curve/rounding down i hate this hemline yuk! also figures they would do a print the soot flowered wu that i do like in a full length pant FOR SUMMER? I'll pass since i don't like long pants for summer! o-well been indulging in my shoes obsession lately since lulu leaves me dry?? don't get me wrong i still love lulu however just i'm very perticular w/ what styles i like- don't buy for a brand-ever, i purchase for style/utility/quality and lulu still has the best cuts (usually) for pants/tights/tops etc. but its not as often as before ms. day tood the helm.

is anybody liking these skirts? Even on the slimmest and fittest models, they look dumpy and baggy. Not flattering :(

last pic looks nice!!! good color combo too!

I feel like the breeze by skirts look like diapers on all the pictures I see. Just not attractive. Maybe they're cuter in person?

Received my Runbeam hoodie and found there is a design flaw. The horizontal seam in the front of the hoodie where the purple meets the aqua causes the zipper to get stuck. Not just slowed down but really tight and sticks. It takes both hands to work it past that seam. Given the zipper is so fine I am worried it won't stand up to use. Also, the sticking zipper will be a real annoyance when out on a run. The zipper also sticks at the top as well, but that is to be more expected when first getting the zipper started.

The fit is a looser TTS. The material is very thin so it shows all lumps and bulges. See the picture above with the white Runbeam - bra bulges on the back are pronounced with the thin material (no criticism to the beautiful woman modeling). Cleaner look with a tank underneath. Price is high, should have had a zip pocket In the back for the price Kangaroo pocket creates a pot belly look. Mine is going back. I did like the big panels of mesh under the arms and the draw strings on the hood to get a better fit.

The skirts are beyond terrible. I've found much cuter and more flattering running skirts at Target. I was starting to think I was the only one that hated them.

They haven't added any pacesetters in the new colors, I wonder if they are discontinuing those for a while in place of these? I hope not.

There is a cute new running skirt in the banner though. Looks cute from the side anyway.

I've noticed that the Runbeam hoodie looks just ok on most people. There are very few pics where it looks GREAT. It doesn't look bad on anyone, just kind of blah. I like the idea of it, just undecided since I can't try it on.

The girl wearing the zippy green looks really good in it. And the aqua/purple from a few posts ago looked really good too. But every other pic has been pretty ho-hum.

I went with my sister to try the breeze by skirts yesterday, she is 5'9 and 140, a terrifically fit woman, and the skirt, like above have said, looked like a diaper on her. I can always count on her to make an athletic top or bottom look great, and even she couldn't pull off the skirt. Such a shame as I had high hopes for it!

I agree about the skirts. They lack the cute factor and are not flattering at all. I keep hoping for some cute skirts to come out, but it may not happen. Good thing I have quite a collection, I guess.

The breeze by skirt has some problems
the waist band and the way the fabric drapes on the body.I like the curve at the hem, but for some reason it doesn't work on everybody.

I'm sorry but that breeze by skirt looks like a middle school sewing project by a home-ec student who never listened in class.

I still have the tags on my Runbeam Hoodie, I am having a tough time justifing the cost of this top, it is so thin yet it is so cute.

Anon 8:11, the skirts are bad, I totally agree with your comment re: dumpy even on fit and petite people.

That white/nimbus Runbeam Hoodie does not look good either.

I'm so *yawn* to everything LLL of late.

I tried on the Runbeam hoodie at the store this morning. I had the zipper stick on two different ones on me. It sticks at the transition point in the materials on the upper chest. I thought the hoodie was cute and I liked the Zippy Green on me more than the two tone but I don't love it for the price. I wish lulu had come out with the Run in the Sun LS. That fits a bit looser and I like the ruffle on the bottom. The Runbeam was pretty snug on my upper arms but the rest of it was ok. I liked it but I can live without it.

@ anom 10:36 am - great fit review. I concur with everything you said. Mine will be going back, too.

I'm not a big fan of the lulu skirts in general. i don't play tennis (golfer over here woopwoop) and i would rather run in shorts.

i got my regular length swiftlies today. i love the length but i'm not jazzed on the colors. i'm definitely taking zippy green back, just doesn't look good up against my fair skin. i really like the purple one but i could totally do without the stripes they added in! i think they make me look large in my midsection and i am not large in that area. i like the color so depending on what's in this week's upload and next...i might hold on to it for my 2 weeks.

i stopped into the irvine spectrum store yesterday and they had the grey twiggy wunder unders. i tried them on and really contemplated getting them but i could kinda see the tag through them when i bent over. all in all i personally wasn't jazzed but they are very cute.

also, random side note - i think i like swiftly tanks over CRBs for hot yoga, especially the hotter classes.

LLA - any idea when the twiggy power purple wunder unders are going online? Does anyone know if they are polyester feeling like the soot ones? Do they get sheer when stretched? TIA!

I got my power purple scoop neck swiftly yesterday and I just noticed today that the seam on the left shoulder is all funky :( I compared it to my other beaming blue swiftly and the seam looks messed up... I called the closest store (1.5 hours) and of course they never answer. I even emailed the store (9 am) and no response and its past 4 pm... I'm sick of hearing other people say they are done with LLL but I think I am now too. I have had nothing but bad luck with everything I order. It's just not worth my time. I have had to returns over 5 items in less than 10 months because of quality, 3 wonder under crops, 2 defines, and a crb and now this swiftly LS. It's just too much of a pain when I can't depend on the item to not be flawed or fall apart.

I agree with LLA - I have a Run in the Sun LS - Blush Quartz from last summer - super cute with ruffles and a ruched pull. LULU bring back some ruffles and cute details - stop with the color blocking already! I didn't like the color blocking THEN and I don't like it NOW. Enuf!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 3:34 pm - They do have a high polyester content. I tried on the pants today. I think the poly content was about ~70%. The pattern "fades" when it's stretched. I had to try on the 10s instead of a 12 so can't comment on whether it gets sheer when stretched.

I bought a runbeam hoodie in pp/aq because I couldn't resist! It is so cute, so well-made, and a great functional piece for me since I live in a hot climate. I didn't have the zipper issue. In love with this piece.

I received my contempo jacket in the mail today, and ugh....it's just boring. You can't really see the "om" shaping in the front, the zipper pull is still way to ugly, and I much prefer my runbeam hoodie to that jacket, so back the contempo went...

Yes Lulu ! BRING BACK RUFFLES and feminine details like you used to have and made you unique !

Zippy Green, good god, stop the madness. Go offer that in Ivivva. We don't need another fluorescent version of a colour! Get with it LLL and offer some classic colours! Beyond annoyed.

OT - YogaSmoga's website is still slow to load pages, they need to fix that.

12:36 PM, based on the comments above and the high price, I think you can safely wait it out that it will move to wmtm. If it was flawless and thick maybe it'd be a winner. But as with most LLL these days, the quality is substandard.

Not only a diaper, a poopy diaper!

Hi anon asking about the twiggy power purple WU. I'm from downunder and have a pair....LOVE THEM. I suspect if your heavier in the thigh area you could get the stretched appearance your talking about. They are higher in polyester than other WU. I personally wouldnt wear them in a hot yoga class. They feel the same as the grey beachy floral WU's I have from last year.I am wearing mine casually and to and from the gym. May wear them for non
heated yoga. I don't think theyre sheer. They go with alot though. Have worn them combined with angel blue, power purple, heather pink and ultra violet today, white....very versatile. I love them:)

Dixie, I can agree that some of the lulu skirts lately are kinda funky, but have you ever played golf in the pacesetter skirt? I pretty much only wear these to play in because 1) they are super comfortable especially for the hot and humid summers in Texas and 2) they look pretty darn cute! The pleats in the back make it look totally appropriate for the course without looking too matronly like other women's golf brands tend to do.

One of the educators at my store mentioned that some golf items should be coming out this summer... let's hope lulu doesn't f this up and color block everything!

@ Sandra - My Power Purple Scoop Me Up went back for a similar reason. It didn't lay right and had a funky seam. I also returned the Runbeam Hoodie (also had the zipper issue and just didn't like the fit) and I returned a Twiggy Power Y bra (sz 6) because it was too tight. I've noticed a lot of items that are the same size vary quite bit. I left the Santana Row store thinking it would be my last trip there for a LONG time. There was not one thing in the store I even considered buying . I am done and I've been a LLA since 2005.

I've been hitting Athleta more and more. Their return policy is heavenly and they have some really nice clothes.

The Way We Were said...

Got my Runbeams. Feel I can easily size up one or even 2 as I am not very comfortable with my lumps and bumps. :) love all the color (didn't get the black). Fabric is super nice!

Unrelated, but figured I'd share some interesting customer service. I ordered a few studio tanks from Victoria Secret's VSX line. All four tanks were XS but two of them were longer than the others by maybe 1.5-2 inches. I called customer service, but both colors of the tanks I needed to replace were on backorder until July, so I switched colors. They sent the new tanks FREE OF CHARGE and said I was welcome to either keep the existing tanks I had or return them for money back. The tanks showed up 2 days after I called. Long story short, I now have 6 tanks, only 4 of which I paid for. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE.

If you're not crazy about the swiftly or have issues with them being delicate, definitely give the studio tank a try. They fit much better for me as the size 4 swiftlys are just a smidge too big. They have fun color selection also (:

If you don't already run in the Ultimate Padded Run Sock, I highly recommend you check them out, especially the latest version in Beach Blanket Blue. (This item is about the only thing I can recommend these days for LLL product. The quality and design of everything else is pitiful.) Am a seasoned runner of many years and once I switched to these socks a few years ago, there was not going back to any other socks. I don't know what it is about the BBB version but somehow they made the quality even better. I bought 1 pair, then another, and will likely get a 3rd! Happy running!

p.s. does anyone know why you can't put up a review for the UPR sock and others? It would only help them sell more socks! You can for the Ultimate No Show and the Mary Method.

OT: Stopped by the store today. Didn't see anything I loved but ended up getting Speed Shorts on MD $39- same as online.
Cardio Tank was $39 instead of $24 online. I tried on a size larger than usual and really ended up liking it. May pick it up online...
Didn't seem like they had a lot of the new items, but nothing really excites me anyway other than the contempo jacket, which is overpriced IMO.

I like Swiftly over CRBs too! I thought I was the only one!!! Everyone seems to like CRBs over everything else!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 10:34 am - I might have to try those out. I have been running in Feetures which I like a lot but am always willing to try something new.

Anonymous said...

@10:34 ahhhhh thank you! I've been eyeing those for weeks! I'm buying them asap!

Thanks for sharing, I thought I was being too critical but my beaming blue swiftly had perfect seams and for $68 plus, I don't want my shirt not to fall apart. I'm bummed because I really love the color but what's worse is that I've had this shirt for 2 days and now I'm in northern California for 10 days so I will have to make a trip to return the item the day I get back to Washington because of the 14 day policy. The closest LLL here is 3.5 hours away. I really am bummed about how bad the quality is... I'm finding it isn't worth my time anymore... Even the crbs suck now. Early last summer I bought, 3 crbs, light flare, ray, and a heathered coal XL and the light flare and ray were very nice thick and soft but now none of the new crbs feel like that. I found that the front racer in mint kind of felt thick and soft but it looked terrible on even the fit educators, gave them armpit fat... I just give up. It sucks cause now I will have $140+ of LLL credit to use on nothing I want and quality that sucks.
