New Inspires, Make It Count Tanks, and More

Kind of love this combo - Mod Moves Singlet and new quilted Inspire crops. I love that waistband but too bad no one sees it.

The new luxtreme Boogie shorts under the Hot Hitter dress.

The new Make It Count tanks with the Hot Hitter skirt and Om Me Home jacket.

A tad bit OT from this entry, but the boob seams on all these recent tanks are absolutely unforgivable. I have passed on several otherwise cute tanks strictly because of them. My Power Up tank has them, and though I love the tank so much, I always feel like I have to cross my arms and cover up so they're not mistaken for anatomy. It looks like every new shelf bra tank has them, and they're particularly awful on the Swank Tank. The design and QA teams need to detox.

anyone else notice that the club shorts are almost completely sold out in canada? Holy. I guess I have to make a trip to the store.

Is it just me or does it seem like Lululemon is using the very thin brunette model a lot for the last few uploads? I don't think that she does the clothes justice as she is so thin and from appearances doesn't seem to have a very athletic body. I find it hard to picture what the clothes might look like on me when she models the clothes and I am a size 4 or 6. I would really like for them to go back to using their other models more. Does anyone else feel the same?

Does anyone know if the power purple wunder unders are sheer? I was just reading reviews and the gec commented on one woman's post about the est delivery time for black wunder unders to be beginning of June.

Wow, it did not occur to me that the Hot Hitter dress would require you to buy a pair of boogie shorts or similar to wear underneath. I guess a liner is impractical because of the variations in torso length.

I think those tanks look good on the models above. and the skirt is tempting.

@anon 10:42 am, I agree with you! I have been passing up tanks because of this. I don't know what is up lately!

have people actually been liking the stuff that's come out recently? Yuck. Personally i think aquamarine and power purple look horrible together, and this new capsule is a snoozefest. While i like zippy green in minute quantities (got the scoop me up and might get the CRB), I'm kind of over it in general. And i'm also SO over power purple, it was just out last summer (less than a year ago) and i stocked up then on this nice color is good, quality pieces (define jacket, thick nice WUC, heathered CRB). Bring on some new colors, this gal is bored!

OT - Ivivva has the swiftly tech tanks, short sleeve and long sleeves on there website if you're a Lulu size small (for less price!) I bought beach blanket blue and pink swiftly tanks, should be arriving any day now. I bought a pinkalicious Power Y in size 14 it fits great (I'm lulu 4), and it's exactly the same as my Dhalia one, measurements are pretty much spot on with the regular Luon fabric.

Just came back from the store to try on the Hot Hitter Dress and Club shorts. The material of the shorts are actually really nice and had the fit worked for my body, I'd have gladly paid the $78 for a pair of shorts...but it didn't work for my 5'4" frame. The Hot Hitter Dress is really cute but it's neither appropriate for golf (open back, short length) nor for tennis (open back) and no liner. It wouldn't make sense to put liner shorts in them since it's a full length dress (how to get in and out?) but it's a pain to have to buy/wear boogie shorts underneath. The dress would be cute on someone who's long and lean and that wasn't me! My mid-section is not flat so it's not flattering at all and I'd have to suck my stomach in to make it work. I really wanted to like the dress but just couldn't :( I did stock up on a few items in the WMTM section the last 2 weeks - got the Cardio Kick tank in 3 different colors ($24 is a steal and it fit well for me), Practice Freely in Dune and Frond and Throw me over in grey and white. I wanted to wait for the TMO to get marked down more but the white was selling out and I really needed a light weight hoodie to wear now so I just bought them. Tried on the Contempo jacket and find it way too long for my liking. I am only 5'4" and really don't like jackets that wraps around my bottom. I am getting tired of the new LLL colors and color-blocking. It's very juvenile IMO.

@Luli I noticed exactly the same thing! I was wondering why they didn't use several models with different body types and skin tones to show the same clothes? They could each do a color..

So today I picked up power purple WUC, power purple ITF crop, silver Front Racer Tank...and I love everything I bought today! I think lll improved the material on the purple wuc, and my usual size 6 were all GONE when I get to my local store this afternoon. so crazy! luckily size 4 fits me perfectly (this is another thing, it seems like LLL sized down on crops, so size 12 can fit in bigger body). I didn't try the dress tho, there's no built-in tight shorts and the skirt material is too thin.

This is the right direction LLL! High quality lll is un-beatable.

I too was looking at buying some Ivivva tanks, because Im tiny...but then Ive read some women saying they pinch in the wrong places! In fact, I read that a couple of times, so I passed on buying any tanks, just because of those comments. ivivva might not work so well on a 34C-D gal, such as myself!

2:24 PM, I'm with you, I have no interest in any of it. I'm quite content and OK with this though. (A shame what they've reduced themselves to). Unlike the last couple of years when I HAD to have one thing or another, now, not so much. My latest purchase is some Heat It Up bras on markdown. Loved that it paid to wait and that I hadn't cared if they sold out at the full price amount. I did buy a pair of new Speed Shorts, but that's a 'bargain' given what I used to spend.

I'm looking forward to my YogaSmoga crops and am interested to see what YS develops, creates etc.

I thought the mod moves tank was supposed to be loose and airy. In that first photo, it looks super tight across the back. That's the only piece I've had interest in, now that the dress requires buying shorts. (Which, come to think of it, makes sense. I mean, how would you get the dress on w/shorts and w/out a zipper?)

I just noticed there is a "boogie short *lux", aimed at hot yoga (and a mention of tennis skirt or dress). I might have to try these out for Bikram yoga. There seems like there is enough coverage in the nether regions, unlike the Heat It Up short.

Can anybody give any details on the new Lux Boogie Shorts? They've got my interest piqued for sure...

I was in a Lulu store and tried on the Mod Moves Singlet. The 4 was too tight and the 6 was too big -- I don't get it -- I see the photo of the girl and it looks tight on her - I was in Costco SoCal and saw a Fulu Mod Moves Singlet. I wonder how that one fits - anyone try on the Costco version?

@ anon 6:05 pm - The singlet does look snug in the majority of photos I've seen.

i agree seeing the cloths on a ballerina tells me nothing. i need to see different body types to know if it will flatter me.

i used to covet everything lll now most of it i do not even want for free

I do not understand the design of Mod Moves Singlet. Why the flare out at the bottom?

Anonymous said...

I tried on the purple WUCs and left them at the store.y normal size fit just fine, so sheer I could see the tag thru the crops without bending over. I couldn't read it but I could sure see the text on the tag clearly through them. Bummer.

I remember seeing the power purple crops on several educators and you could see lumps, bumps, and cellulite on even the fit 20 something gals.

Mod Moves Singlet: Tried it on in store and LOVE it. I wear a size 6 in CRB and the size 6 in the MMS fits me.

Hot Hitter Skirt: Tried it on in store. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Longer than the Pacesetter Tall. Don't play golf or tennis. Would wear this for running. Wear size 4 in Pacesetter Tall. TTS.

All this Ivivva stuff — I'm a 2/4 in LLL and, obvs, pretty thin. Even with this boyish physique, I can't stand the cut on the Ivivva clothes. Sure, they have CRB, but the neckline just isn't flattering for an adult woman. The new LS swiftly-style is not appropriate for a grown woman — the peaks of the diamond are right where the nipples are.
The only items I bought from Ivivva, when I was there shopping for my daughter, were a pair of Still-style pants (can't remember the name) for which the size 2 was always too big for me. The size 12 fits perfectly on me. And a pair of the ~Studio crops, also in size 12. The tops just aren't meant for someone with even teeny boobs. Sorry.
And, on that note: I agree: the new LLL model is weirdly proportioned. In looking at her fit of the clothes, or how the clothes fit her, I gather no useful information about how they will fit me.
My two cents for the evening. :)

So this sheerness issue has me stumped some days. One reader says the power purple WUC are fantastic and a step up for lulu on quality of late and then the last comment said they were sheer and got left in the store. Personally I havent had any issues with things like the ITF crops or the like. I really think it depends on your body type and weight distribution. AND what you 'think'is your correct sizing??? Lets be honest here....

The Mod Moves singlet color combo reminds me of a My Little Pony. Not good...

@11:15 AM
I agree. It doesn't make sense to use a size 0-2 model when the smallest size in some items is size 4. The No Limits tank looks so baggy at the bottom it put me off buying it. That said I tried on the No Limits tank in size 4 and it looked similarly baggy on me. I need a size 2 as well. I liked the brunette model they were using a couple of months ago.

@4:32
I'm with you. "
Loved that it paid to wait and that I hadn't cared if they sold out at the full price amount." Is pretty much how I feel about a lot of the uploads these days.

I love my YS crops - I wear them to run, gym, yoga. They are great and haven't faded or stretched out. I just bought some Slimmes (the Groove like pants) and they are SO flattering. I can't wait to try them out!

I'm guessing ivivva doesn't fit you because it is a CHILDREN'S brand. Get real, ladies.

I tried on the Lux Boogies, they feel amazing on and I didn't find them to be sheer. They are more comfortable than my luon boogie shorts.

LuluAddict said...

@ 5:15 am - I know the size 12 Ivivva can fit a size 2 woman and a size 14 can fit a size 4 but I've read the Ivivva pants don't have gussets. Maybe some of the tee shirts work but I can't see the tanks working well.

i wear a size 6 CRB. when mint moment was out, i got both a lulu 6 CRB and a size 14 ivivva "CRB" equivalent to compare. the material was identical. the length is about the same, but the proportions are different. for example, the ivivva neck isn't as low and the thin part of the halter neck on the back is a bit shorter. the significant price difference would make it worthwhile if it fits you. :)

Anonymous said...

@ 5:15 AM thanks for the try on regarding boogie lux. Am interested in these for Bikram and will need to check out in store.

Anonymous said...

Thanks to all regarding ivivva sizing. I was going to try their CRB type top as I believe I could fit a 2. I feel weird about the ivivva logo though as I am a grown woman. Although on the other hand I wouldn't judge you for wearing it either if you're petite and it works for you.

Anonymous said...

@ 2:59, if someone judges you because you have an ivivva logo instead of a lulu logo, i'm guessing you probably don't care what they think anyway :D (the one on my mint tank is pretty subtle anyway)

Hey, what's up with the negative comments directed at women buying ivivva? Is it offensive in some way?

I am 5'1" and 108 lbs and have purchased a number of Ivivva items, including the Tumblin tanks (similar to Power Y). The cut is not quite the same -the neckline is a bit higher and narrower, which is great for me)- but the fabric and construction, even the pockets for bra cups, are the same. I bought plain white and black tanks, so it's not as if I'm not sashaying around town in a unicorn printed rainbow outfit with ribbons in my hair.

Lol... I like to think that smaller adults don't get as much bang for their buck for plenty of things compared to the more statuesque among us. It's nice to get a break once in a while!

Anyway, a lot of preteen and teenaged "children" have larger breasts and otherwise curvier figures than do many adult women, and Ivivva makes products for those girls, too.

Sorry for the novel, I'm just feeling like us petite women are getting picked on in some of the posts!

I am a size 4/6 in Lululemon tops. Usually a 4 in the crb's and I prefer the size 14 ivivva tanks myself. They are the same material but slightly more modest, IMHO. The neckline isn't as low and the tanks aren't as long as the crb's. Also, they're only $26 dollars.

As far as the LLL models go, I thought I read somewhere on their website that they all wear a size 6. All the mannequins in the store have a size 6 displayed too.

Anonymous said...

@8:14 I'm also a size 6 in tops -- are the Lulu 6 and Ivivva 14 CRBs the same width throughout? I'd be interested in trying the Ivivva version as I find the straps and overall length of the CRB to be too long for me, but based on the online sizing information the Ivviva version seems narrower in the chest.
