I ordered the Liberate tank in black. I'm not sure if it will work for me but it looks cute. I was hoping a Fresh Teal Cool Racerback would be uploaded tonight but no luck.
I like the thick straps on the Om Onsie but the not really caring for the bun-revealing (wedgie-city?) backside. I really don't care for much in the swim line except for the Very Green/Faded Zap/Fresh Teal rashguard.
Excited to see more Beach Blanket blue items show up. This isn't a bad scuba but am wondering why the back panel is Dune and not blue.
Did you order anything?

Order the new old Power Y tank in Luon....surprised to see that.
Those Scubas are crazy kiddie style
I actually liked the very green board balance bikini top with the sandy savasana bottom. All of the others were very meh. Neon color blocking is not flattering at all. Lulu can get people to pay major $$$ because they are unique to yoga (or used to be). Its going to be a tough sell for swimwear. Vix, Vitamin A, and L*Space are hard to beat.
You would think, being so new to swimwear, they would try to knock it out of the park. They should have had a small selections of great fitting (and basic colors) that had different coverage.
I like the very green suit, but I have a feeling a lot of this is going to eventually make it to WMTM
Lilac Power Y Tank in original Luon! Between this tank and the gingham CRBs I picked up a couple weeks ago, I'm one happy yogini.
Does anyone know what size I should order for the old power Y? Im in between sizes. Thanks
I ordered a black shape jacket....random, I know. Just wanted a tried and true black jacket, so pulled the trigger tonight. Was tempted by those power y, but I have 2, and don't really need any more for now. I'm such a sucker for purples though.......
where are the pinstripe WU?
I hope they come out with a CRB in that Dahlia color!
fail with the swimwear again IMO.
Some of the tops look neat and decent, but the colour blocking on half of the colours (hello boob bulls-eye) looks gross.
The bottoms look absolutely beyond ridiculous. Those models aren't even moving and their bums are falling out all over the place. Yikes.
Too bad, but it's just silly.
Power y in original luon. Ordered in every color! Yeah :) got two sizes of each because I'm an 8 in original and a 6 in luon light. Whatever doesn't work will go back. I'm excited.
Could this be the start of things turning around?
Liberate tank is soooo cute. I'm tempted, but prob too much cleavage for me.
I respectfully disagree that the Onsie is bun revealing. That's an average coverage, more than that and it's granny's bathing suit from the 1930's. Google "bathing suits through the years" to see the evolution.
What I dislike are the super thick straps. It looks more like the back of the Push Your Limits tank, than a bathing suit. I think that piece is rather intended for hot yoga, not the beach.
Did you see the dahlia color on the power y? DROOL.
Dahlia! Can't wait for more to come out in this color! Woo hoo! No purchases, just hope for the late spring line. ;)
I ordered the power y in lilac! It seems the full luon version is back....
Am I the only one who is insanely hopeful that the *luon Power Y is actually going to fit and feel like the original?!?! Bought all three colors...I haven't purchased a Power Y since Discovery Stripe, and they were my favorite, most flattering tanks until lulu ruined them. Fingers crossed...
Even brands with cheeky bottoms, like Maaji, sell a full coverage version.
It's caught in between. Not cute enough for a regular bikini (too many good brands out there) and not enough rear coverage. I like 2 of the 3 tops but will not be able to use it for water sports.
It's a shame they screwed this up because yoga stand up paddle board is getting huge! Not to mention CrossFit and beach yoga!
My body is good enough to wear it, but I wouldn't be able to do a downward dog in it!
Btw Oneill makes a great bikini with a cross back and full coverage rear. Several solid colors. I've worn it for different sports and its awesome. I think they are $60 totall....
LOVE beach blanket blue on the scuba. I'm with you, though LLA: why is it only in the front? Did they run out of blue fabric? Like a broken record - stop the color blocking now!
I agree with you, Anon @ 10:27 am regarding your comment about swimwear being a tough sell when there are so many cute and established brands out there. My favorites include Vix, Vitamin A, Maaji, Rosa Cha, and Onde de Mar. Nothing for me on this upload, but totally digging the Fresh Teal/Very Green rashguard! I haven't liked any of the colorblocking combos since most of it has looked super dated and harsh. The fact that this rashguard incorporates the colorblocking trend without including black makes me happy. Also, the lulu omega sign on the front reminds me of my "vintage" favorites from years past.
Anyone else notice the online only power y indicates that it's an "updated hip-length version"? I was going to order the dahlia until I saw this. Are the lilac and dahlia older colours???
Well it's good they've said this on the swimwear:
"sometimes things just don’t work out. If you and our swim gear can’t make it work, just return it."
I did not order anything. I like the Om Onsie.
I saw this description for the Sandy Savasana top:
key features
medium support with low coverage for our C to D cup gal (athlete outside is a B cup, athlete in the studio is a C cup)
WTF Lulu??? Am I not allowed outside?
The swimwear is meh - overpriced and the backsides are too skimpy. That scuba looks like they had scraps of 4 different colours sitting around and stitched it together. Another upload with no purchase for me.
The return of the Luon Power Y ! YES ! :) I didn't buy one but this is a good move on the part of Lulu. ;)
I am getting my first Scuba and I was hoping for the Very Green scuba to be uploaded. :*( Will be interested to hear how the Liberate tank fits!
I got the Parfait pink Scuba. I have been wanting a non-neon-looking, very mellow color scuba for a long time. I hope this pink is pale/soft. I like the beach blanket blue/dune/black too but I am very tired of color blocking and want just a plain color easy on the eyes :)
OMG Power Ys in Lilac and Dahlia! So random, and yet so pleasing!
Seems like they're listening to feedback at least... regular luon power y's, lined hood scubas... And the swim line has space for cups and is returnable. I actually think these suits are super cute, but can't really see myself wearing a lulu swimsuit- prefer cheaper ones for surfing/lounging so I can have more options and won't worry if they get damaged.
Thought it was interesting they listed the models' cup sizes. Too bad they didn't show models with D cup. I wouldn't wear any of this to the Equinox, way too revealing (agree on weggie city comment!) which is unfortunate because I am searching for a new suit in a fun color. I ended up getting pump it up shorts since they finally dropped in price. I'm going to miss the polar haze color,
Important question- is the Luon on the power Y the same as the WU? I'm asking because I swore to stop buying Luon pants because I'm tired of pilling (all over not just between thighs). Wondering if the tank pills as well.
Why would anyone want workout clothes made of polyester? Sad lulu
just an fyi for those of you interested in the free fall crop. I just picked them up from my local store today and they rang up at $59. The educators were confused but honored the price. Not sure if it was an error or the new sale price. Worth checking out if are interested in them.
I ordered the Liberate tank in Fresh Teal. I'm a little concerned about the fit, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the neck fits and my "girls" aren't out and about. I'm hoping for more additions to WMTM because after visiting a LuLu store this weekend, I'm not terribly impressed with the overall quality of the clothing. You can get very similar stuff at Target at the moment for half the price.
I caved and got the black/inkwell triangle bikini and the dahlia power y. :-) Hope they they fit because I have to order online!
Very disappointed with the swim line. All of the bottoms do not fully cover one's bum! It's gross lol. They definitely should have made bottoms with better coverage.
Does anyone think the new lilac power y will either be restocked or show up in stores (it says online only)? I had it in my cart this morning but didn't have time to check out until now and it's sold out!
The bathing suits are nearly all sold out on the Canadian side - what's up with that?? Looks like they are selling a lot better than last year!
I like the Coastal Om and Sandy Savasana bikinis, and may try them on when I'm in the store, but I almost never go out in bikinis.
If the onesie ("onesie"??) were in any color besides black, I'd strongly consider buying it. I like the cut, but I can get a black swimsuit anywhere. (And it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb, like it's the one concession they're making for people who are too self-conscious - or, heaven forfend, chubby! - for bikinis, so of course they must want to hide their bodies with dark colors. Gee. Thanks, Lulu.)
I also wish they had boardshorts this year - I'd snap up a pair of neon-blocked boardshorts in a heartbeat!
I agree with Anon 10:27 that the swim line must be a hard sell. I'll only pay Lulu prices for a swimsuit if it's either a stunning design or a great technical piece.
I think the sandy savasana bathing suit top is nice and it looks supportive. I like the rashguard a lot, but I am wondering if the material is as thin as last year's version. Looks like the bikini tops are already sold out in many sizes.
If vix made more sporty type bathing suits I would love to have them, their bikini's are top quality and durable.

Speed short lovers please help!
I wasn't into any of the new items. So I may finally pull the trigger on the bleached coral speed shorts. I have a 2-way stretch pair from last spring in a 4. Some kind of space dye pattern with black and ultraviolet. They fit perfectly (maybe a little roomy). Should I size down to a size 2 in the bleached coral pair, since it is 4-way stretch? I am 5'3 and 108 lbs.
I think the swimwear line is adorable. Looks like lots of people agree... half the sizes are sold out already!
Pow Y Tank in regular LUON, Dahlia,. Its great timing as I am now able to count on one hand the numbers of items that I'm willing to workout in from LLL. The LLL swimwear does not appeal to my tastes, Instead I got two pairs of boardshorts from Roxy (DVF) that are both sexy and have coverage. DVF found a way to make it work :-)
The beach blanket blue looks just like beaming blue. Love the color, but it's surprising to see the same color, just re-named, so soon.
can you return an online only purchase to the store?
I want to buy the Power Y but only if i can return it to the store if it doesn't fit.
thank you!
I don't think the swim line is a fail or tough sale considering its already half sold out online! I wanted the pop orange triangle or sandy savanna but all sold out :-( I'm wondering if in store merch will be available still and how that works. I'll be near a store this weekend which is rare, live 18 hour drive away from any LLL!
Bought the dahlia power y! It's going to look so good with the inkwell wee space pace crops I got last week. If I like it, I'll prob get the "black" (though it looks like heathered black/grey) old luon power y as well.
Ordered 4 swimsuits from Victoria Secret earlier this month, all of which I like waaaay better than anything I see in lulu's swim line.
anon@ 10:31
i don't know if this is super helpful, but i'm 5'4" (5'3" and a half, probably is more accurate) and around 110 lbs (about a 25" waist, 36" hips) and i got a 2 in the yellow gros gingham speeds. i tried on a 4 just to make sure and i thought they were way too baggy in the 4 for my tastes.
I am one of the few that loved the swim bottoms from last year. Tops were not supportive enough. I am 44 and blessed with a good bum and no cellulite so I love those slightly cheeky bottoms. Hey I only have a few years left to be brave enough to wear them. If you want full coverage for the rear the hot shorts are adorable on and cover everything. Not rated as swimwear but I bet they would work. I have all the high end bikinis and I did found myself reaching for the lulu bottoms last year frequently. Good material and stayed in place (if you don't mind a little skimpy) Not for sports but they covered more than the average high end bikini.
I bought the Power Y in the dahlia. In the time it took my to decide about it my normal size was gone. So I'll have to see of it fits, crossing my fingers!
Looks like the luon power Y is shorter than previous?? (described as update - hip length; looks shorter in the photos as well)
I suspect Beach Blanket blue is the same as Beaming Blue, but is a bit faded looking because of how the dye stuff takes to the cottony fibres. IMO, when peeps complained that the color on their Scuba didn't match their other luon items, Lululemon figured that they could change the name a bit to be less misleading.
Not pleased with the new swim line - plenty of women called it with saying its just too "in between". If I'm swimming laps I'm still going to wear my TYR or speedo suit since the coastal om one piece appears to cut right across my shoulders which I need for mobility. If I'm surfing or paddling I'm going to be wearing my O'Neill, L*Space or Mikoh suits (have not seen Mikoh mentioned before - its a great brand designed by Kelly Slater's girlfriend who is a surfer herself). If I'm laying by the pool I'm going to be wearing a Rosa Cha suit because I don't want a huge tan on my bum. These suits do nothing to sway me away from any of those options although they seem to contain a weird mash up or features from all of them.
Totally bought the dahlia power y. It's a good thing I'm size 6 because by the time I got around to buying it all sizes above that were gone. I really hope to see lots more lulu in the dahlia colour!
Yes!!
I also bought the power Y in dahlia. My reg size was sold out as well so hoping it fits!
Ordered from wmtm and got the run get up and glow reflect jacket!
I have to try on the bathing suits-takes me forever to find one I like. Thanks ladies for suggesting other places!!

In my giddiness over the (possible? I'm not counting my chickens until I've tried them on...) return of the *luon Power Y, I failed to notice the hideousness that is the latest CRB fabric. Honestly, CRBs are the one thing I've been buying through all the mess of the new designs and color blocking and poor fabric quality - if those go down the pooper, that'll be the nail in the coffin for me.
Also, for those who have mentioned it, Dahlia and Lilac are old colors, so it's very possible that nothing else is coming out in those colors - pretty sure that's what happened when they did the online only release of the Deep V last year, if I'm not mistaken?
I wish they'd make the Liberate tank as a tankini top. It'd be a great alternative for those of us who either don't want to show stomach due to slight MT or don't want to show stomach due to said stomach not seeing the light of day for a very long time. (Lulu, please be listening!). Athleta and T9 have a great selection of sporty tankinis, off I go.
New Ride On Rain Jacket is out in Robson store.
the "inside model" and "outside model" refer to the pictures - the one show in indoor photos is one cup size. the model shown in photos taken outside is the other cup size. :)
so sick of the fruitmallows color palette. i didn't order anything, but those swimsuits are cute. overpriced but cute. that colorblocked scuba is freaking awful, but i am a fan of that blue. the power y tanks looked quite tight on hips on the models so i stayed away. those purple colors are super pretty though. i missed out on a bunch of "purple" no limit tanks and would really like one now:(
Hogwash!! The only reason they are selling out is because they have low inventory on their swimline based on how poor sales were last year. They are being cautious because it was such a complete fail last year. There are so many other cuter styles out there and better priced. I absolutely love lulu but this is another fail in my eyes.
The swimwear is probably selling out as you can now return it if it does not work out for you. Those without the option to visit a store, or with no time to visit, are just jumping on the purchase and maybe more than one size.
@ 12:22 PM, I think you will be fine to return it to a store. When LLL has had on-line items only in the past, I have seen them randomly show up in store on the rack, i.e., just one of the item. Would seem to have been a return.
@ anon 3:10 pm - Are those Ride On Rain jackets new or did they find an old box of them? No other stores are posting photos of them. The colors aren't new. That thing was a hunk of junk that didn't sell well last year. Can't believe it would be brought back.
@ anon 3:23 pm - fruitmallows - lol
I think that new blue looks a lot like the men's kayak blue.
@ lulu Femon - I'm not as excited about the return of the old-style Power Y. They are older colors. I tend to think they dug up old stock or whipped some up in Vancouver from some leftover bolts of fabric.
Hi, I would suggest size 2.
My pair of 2-way stretch speed shorts are borderline too short for me to wear, and are more constricting and shorter than my 4 pairs of 4-way stretch speed shorts. I have size 2 for all pairs and I'm 5'2" and 97 lbs for reference. Hope I helped!
Has anyone seen the new 105 tanks in US stores? I have been waiting patiently for them to be uploaded, but so far no such luck (hated the ones with the different color piping)
anon@12:54
Thanks so much! I bought the bleached coral speed shorts in a 2! I can't wait to get them. Thanks so much for the info.
LLA - i saw ride on jackets in at least two stores here in nyc -
Nothing for me. I was so hoping for the return of the Flow and Go tanks this week, and now I'm disappointed. Maybe I'll finally see my favorite tank again next week.
Also, I agree with a lot of you; the swimwear line is cute this year, but still needs some work before I'd be willing to purchase any of it.
Nothing for me this week. I was so hoping for the return of the Flow and Go tank, but I am disappointed to see that it hasn't yet arrived online. Maybe next week.
I have to say, this is the first time in months that I've seen things that really appeal. I am loving all of the current colors and a lot of the new designs. Even the swim line is cute this year. I'm very pleasantly surprised. :)
@anon 6:14 pm -Thanks! I had only seen a couple of Vancouver stores post photos of the Ride on Rain jacket so I figured they dug up an old box of leftovers. Maybe they are only sending them to cities with large bike commuting populations.
