FYI: Some Sheer Straight-to-Outlet Items
I'm posting this as an FYI for those who see these pop up eBay or other selling sites. A lot of the colored pants that have been heading straight to the outlets recently are sheer. Recently spotted were Pop Orange Out and About Pants. The woman who posted this photo said she could see the front pockets and her printed underwear.

They left a handful of comments on their facebook page, pretty well guaranteeing that these would not be sent to markdown, that they would be appropriately recycled so to not end up not-covering consumers. This kind of seems like a crappy move on their end, unless the tags have a sufficiently added note about the incredible sheerness?
@ anon 9:34 pm - the only ones officially yanked off the shelves were black luon bottoms, no colors, so I can't even imagine how bad the black ones were.
Another item that might fit this description: vancouver outlet has in the flow crops in pop orange and faded zap. For the price tag I thought they might actually look cute under running shorts!
But the Invert and the Free Fall crops in black Luon are back on te site! Both had been pulled out. I'm wondering if these are from a new "batch"? I ad ordered both of these crops just a day before the recall and really would like to know if the obes now on the site are made of a thicker Luon.
I must admit since finding LULU, had become addictive to their clothes, but now with the quality & lack of creative design issues , I have been very hesitant to buy anything on line, let along in a store when I travel 99% of everything has issues.
LULU please get your act together
Lululemon is losing my respect each day now. This is such a poor business practice selling inferior quality items at outlets. The sheer pants are flawed they should be pulled from all markets.
Ot but can someone tell if the Inkwell Invert crops are see thru?
Who on earth would buy these? I don't care if they are on markdown. They are SEE THROUGH! Have we forgotten the purpose of pants? Unless you're using them as a weird sort of lingerie...
My local store is advertising a "cheeky" event in April. This event started being advertised before the recall... Store window mannequins are now dressed in thongs saying cheeky is coming. Suspicious?
it is crazy to me that Lulu would sell very sub-par product to anyone...even at a discounted price at an outlet. What happened to protecting your brand? now the public is going to see women walking around in see-through Luon and associate that with the LLL brand. Not good. At least remove your logo if you're going to allow the general public to buy. I guess they don't care like I do about protecting their brand. I got far too invested in this company. *sigh*
YES! Thanks for posting this - I live only 15 minutes away from a LLL outlet (so I am there once/week...) and nearly all of the pants they're selling are these blasted SHEER colored pants. I tried some of these on and holy hell, they are VERY sheer.
No one is buying these. My outlet is extremely busy and plenty of women take these colored pants into the fitting room and after trying them on, promptly return them to the attendant. I haven't seen ANYONE buying them.
Has anyone had a problem recently with the seams/ stitching coming undone on newer lulu items? I have never had any problems before and now the last two items I bought ( pinstripe Wunder Unders and Petite dot free to be bra) are completely falling apart.
New tank spotted on lulu's site under the yoga on the run canvas bag--looks gorgeous on the model. Also, tank peeking out under bleached coral scuba hoodie stretch looks familiar???
@ anon 8:04 am - I agree - protect the brand. Years ago, before they got bought by VF, I think, I used to buy Lucy before lululemon and I would shop their markdown racks all the time. I stopped because most of the stuff on those racks had a flaw - stitching came undone and plastic strap buckles would break, shirts would get stretched out or develop white spots or change colors in the underarms so now I buy very few things there.
@ anon 8:25 am - Yes, a few of my newer things - black swan gather and crow crops and a newer pair of run crops of mine have stitching coming undone. I need to take them into be repaired. Do you live near a store? Lululemon will repair them for free.
Just fyi, the Presence Pants and Coast to Class pants are back on the Canadian site in inkwell
I was eyeing those mellow lemon groove shorts online for so long wondering when they would be uploaded. Guess this solves it.
I have the inkwell Invert crops and didn't find them to be sheer.
Someone already posted my thoughts on this- why would they be selling the sheer pants at all?? They should be throwing these pants away, or even donating them to those less fortunate, not trying to sell them and make some $$$! It boggles my mind how some companies only look out for their bottom line.
I too don't get why the brand would send too sheer items to the outlet. I guess they're hoping a ton of young ladies are going to buy them only to wear some crazy long shirt with them. I guess if you're a teen and that's your thing...
@ 10:37 PM, that ensemble makes no sense and would like silly. Save your money.
LLA: they no longer do seam repairs. I went to take in my love red wee are from space/coal
RFYL crops bc a seam at the bottom of the leg was coming undone. My option was to pick something new for exchage of equal value (or more and pay the difference), or go to a seamstress for repair . FYI :)
What? That doesn't make any sense. It would cost them something like $3 for the seamstress vs. giving away a pair of $86 crops.
I think any short or pants made of those light colors, yellow, white orange or green would be see through.
They had some running crops at the local Nike store which were a similar yellow and those were also very sheer. I think it's good that people are not buying those, but I still see plenty of women wearing sheer stuff and not giving a crap or just are unaware.

Hi everyone! I wanted to update y'all on the sheerness problem and the recalled pants. I went to the Fort Worth, TX store today to try to find Groove Pants that Aly Raisman was wearing on DWTS. The print I wanted sold out online in December 2012-ish.
Anyway, I found my size at the Fort Worth store, but decided to try them on for sheerness even though I have bought plenty of groove pants in the past..... I bent over... and they were completely SHEER... you could see my butt, the tag, EVERYTHING!!!! I bent over for an educator and she confirmed that she could see my hiney.. lol! The pant I tried on was then taken to the back my 2 educators to send back to the company.
Soooo just a warning - There are still recalled pants on the shelves! Try them on before buying even if you already know your size... It will save you the hassle of returning items later. :)
