Don't like the top...too boxy, and I imagine that the tie on the zipper would swing and drive me nuts while running.Like the Inspires a lot...does anyone know if the waistband is the new, updated waist and whether the fabric is nice and thick like the Inspires of past? (The most recent batch was sooo thin)
I bought the inkwell and BY inspires because I heard the old waistband was back...and it is, BUT I thought I should have sized down (after I took the tags off) because I felt the compression for running wasn't quite enough. So I just bought the dune/BC and Pop O in the size down. Problems, for me...No the fabric is not thick like it used to be. Is it see through? Maybe. You'll have to find our for yourself as it seems as if we are all different in what we will compromise, but let's just say I felt the fabric was even thinner as I sized down (but the compression felt good)The waistband is fine, even when I sized down.I didn't notice until I got home that the dune/BC/PO has dune and leached coral on the waistband, but Pop Orange on the bottom of the leg, which was a big disappointment. BC looks good with a variety of other colors where I feel as if PO is mush more limited. So, for three out of four reasons they are going back.I wore my Frond Pace tank to Bikram and it was nice. Short, but not too short, not sure if I'd buy another as it runs small.
Warm Up Crew...seriously, what IS that?! Gosh it's ugly and unflattering.
That top doesn't fit ANY of the models nicely...
I bought the warm up crew after seeing the pix of the girl in the top photo here in the frond with the inspires. Looked so average in the store, boxy, meh. After seeing how cute it looks on her I decided to try it on and much to my surprise, I loved it and got it. I am a distance runner, not a yoga person and I would never run in this top regardless of the zipper -- but, I would use it for warm up/cool down, as it's intended. It's clearly not cut to be a fitted/skimming piece but rather something comfy and "boxy" to throw on and for that, it's perfect. BUT, make sure you get the right size because if it pulls at all across your shoulders, it looks odd. I'm normally a 2-4 and I got a 6.
tired of the too short lengths in all the run tops- pass and that boxy top w/ zip- ewe that is fug! reminds me of the 80's izod shirts that had that hemline! I remember my husband noted that detail on shirts he wouldn't buy way back- and now lulu is doing it and the 80's baseball hems- yuk yuk yuk!!!!!
Warm Up Crew, titled to make some people justify buying it. I'm going to guess that most have much nicer shirts and/or jackets from LLL to warm up or cool down in. I'm very happy to NOT want this hideous, throwaway item.7:06 - absolutely correct about the hemline!
I have a lot of running crops (mostly knee length). I think I have Run Inspire ii's. They're from 2 years ago. I bought them when I read that the Inspires were changing. I'd wanted a pair and decided then I'd better jump on it because I know how it can be when LL changes them. Mine are great. Now I think they've changed them 2 or 3 times more. They sound terrible re: comments here and on line reviews. Someone posted the other day about the current colors of the Studio Pant...quality and material not like the previous versions when compared to all versions she has over some years. Good to know. I only have one pair of Studio Pant and that'll be it. LLL is definitely cheapening its clothes all around!
Just saw this thread today as I did pull the trigger on the Warm Up Crew in WMTM. I am in a running club and our club color is orange, so a technical top for $29 works for me. I agree that the features are weird, and the lack of thumb holes and any kind of pocket is just bizarre. Hopefully I will like the top when it arrives. The brushed luon is what sold me, since I have a LLL pullover I got a couple years ago and I LIVE in that thing. I forget the name of it but I got it in white. It has a half zip, a front patch pocket with interior iPod pocket, reflective detailing on front and back, thumb holes, and it's JUST SO CUTE! Ah, Lulu....we knew you when.I wanted to also comment about the Inspire Crops. My husband got me the ones on the model (in Frond) for my birthday this February, and yes, they are sheer sheer sheer. I can get away with them for running (since I don't bend over), and MAYBE CrossFit so long as I face away from the wall when doing Dead Lifts. Otherwise? It's crack city, baby!! But I LOVE how they compress me and they are incredibly flattering. *sigh*
