I tried the SE hoodie tonight ... nothing special
In the first picture of the "Hefty Bag Hoodie" (lol) she totally has CT going on! That's EXACTLY why I can't wear those pants. UGH Lulu!!!
Hahahahaha...hefty bag hoodie! Cracked me up. That's totally what it looks like! So cheap looking, I'm not a fan of this material, is it the same stuff Lulu used for the gust buster jacket?
Are the Power Up Tanks really worth their $64 tag? I'm not too familiar with LLL fabrics so I don't know if it's the combinations of various types that makes it pricey. $64 for a simple looking tank is too steep for me. I think I'll opt for a new NLT instead for that price.
Is there an upload tonight? I don't see anything new posted yet...
Anyone notice on the United Kingdom homepage/site that there is a girl wearing a pink jacket? I think it is the DEFINE!! I can't figure out what color that is because I own Paris Pink and Pow Pink (and this is not those), and as far as I know there was no Define in Raspberry Glo. Doesn't look like Shell Pink because it is really saturated and not as washed out as other Shell Pink items I have seen. Anyone seen this jacket in real life, or know the color? Does this mean the Define is returning? Oh please please please!
Holy guacamole! I also just saw the prices for the UK items - they are 150% more expensive than US & Canada items (after the conversion). And we thought our pricing was bad... my sympathies, really!
The tank is silverescent aka antimicrobial (bacteria can't grown on silver) and thus doesn't stink from sweat!
OT, do we have any runner here with the WTF mittens?? the black ones were immediately sold out in my area but now I have a chance to get the blue striped ones. Pls share your opinion.oh also are the WUC herringbone white black reversible to black???
Anon@10:58, I am guessing the higher price is due to the silverescent.
I took a good look at the Power Up Tank in person, and I was dismayed by the rough unfinished edges on the panels that go around the sides on the bottom of the tank. They not only look unfinished, but they were starting to get that unraveled look. On the hanger in the store! Imagine how worn-out that tank would look after you've actually worn it and washed it a couple of times. No thanks. But it's a shame, because the color and the shape of the top are both really nice.
the power up tank is made with silverscent which keeps the material from stinking, it actually works, and yes, that is a lot of money for a tank top.M
I was interested in trying on the SE hoodie until I read the "hefty bag" comment. Now it's an easy pass...lol.
I just got my black DHBH in mail and it truly lives up to the claims. Easily one of my top LLL purchases. Very warm, cosy and well made. I've been so disappointed by too many recent products by the time I receive in mail so wow I was gasping in disbelief that LLL is capable of producing DHBH quality :) thanks for everyone for recommending it. Now I need to hunt for one for my mom. btw, i'm tts size 4. size down to 2 for wraps and 4 is fine.
Bummed about the paltry WMTM upload. What, 3-4 items? Hmph. I checked out the UK site last night and WOW on the prices!!
@ Jen - Everyone who used to buy off the US/International site says that. It was cheaper to buy from there and paid a lot for shipping than to buy from the country-specific site. Moreover, there is a much better selection. Not sure why lulu's country-specific sites are so pricey, particularly Australia since the currency is on parity with the US dollar and they are closer to the countries where the clothes are manufactured. This is just going to drive people to use drop-shippers to continue ordering from the US/Canadian websites.
So I popped into a store yesterday briefly to grab a gift card for a Christmas gift since I was in the city. I didn't get a chance to check out anything other than what was beside the till/lineup. I would have to agre with the "Barbie pink" or "Pepto Bismal" description of Shell Pink. Also, I got to feel the new vinyasas (chevron print) and they're so gross! NOT soft at all! I've never understood when you ladies describe something as "scratchy" until now... That's the only way to describe this. How would anyone want to wear that at all! Deffinately NOT cozy feeling in the slightest!
I like the shell pink/white stripe pattern in that Power Y and I hope they make a crb in that combo as well since the Power Y's don't work for me.
I kind of like the SE hoodie, that fabric is being used by Nike right now for some of there outwear products. I am sure some other brands are using it too. Everyone (meaning sports/tech wear brands) seems to have their version of 'apres wear/DHBH'.
Ok I admit I ordered the UBA LUX, I was looking for something that was similar to a scuba but cozy and waterproof for the rain. Just received it and it is horrible! The material does look somewhat like a hefty bag, but one arm is wayyyy tighter than the other, I can't even lift my arm up without feeling like it's going to rip. And the zip in collar is just a piece of fleece that only connects at the front of the jacket the collar is all loose and you have to manually tuck it in to look right. I'm so disappointed, this is the worst Lulu product I've ever had :o(
HUGE camel toe on that poor lady in the blue WU. Yikes!!
Hello Anon@ 3:31AM....The WUC in herringbone white/black are NOT reversible to black. Someone mentioned that they were slightly see-thru.... I would not agree with that. They're great and the material is super soft. I recommend these.
Agreed @12:28PM hahahaha that camel toe is TOO MUCH and obviously the gusset is triangle. Ha. Ugh. So cheap and gross looking.
@Anon 3:31 - I looked at the WTF mittens in store. They were big on me (but I have small hands) so I found them to be too floppy. I also decided that my fingers would get too hot mid-run and they don't have a fold back option like a lot of running mitts or any other sort of venting. I think they'd be better as casual wear. (I bought running gloves with a fold-over wind shield 'mitten' instead.) Hope that helps!
For anyone considering the pink striped Power Y, it is a little sheer in the center of the built in bra. You can see a slightly darker rectangle in the cleavage area because it's only lined with mesh there rather than fabric. I still think it's very pretty and I'm keeping it, just wanted to let people know in case it would bother them.
if you hike your pants up or wear a size too small you will get a CT. light colors accentuate it as well.M
