The jacket may look OK in the black/white, pretty sharp. White's so impractical for the winter. I have enough jackets anyway. I have low expectations for the pants and an easy pass. "Bold" in the Cold. Likely not. LLL doesn't seem to know how to create a pant for true cold. Not a fan of the (appears to be) two types of black material, or the color blocking. They should be done with that already. Hems look weird too and, as does the seam or yoke at the bakc.
i have a feeling that the Bold in the Cold pants are an updated version of the Outward Bound pant - which were tech fleece with glyde in the front for wind resistance (that's why there are two types of black material as anon 3:36 noticed). LOVE my outward bound pants - just wish they had pockets. if it weren't for the color blocking, i'd be excited about these pants ):
When I saw these pics, I was struck with the thought that they seem the same as everything else we've seen. Side angle pant+bright at night+ice queen. It's funny because we complain when Lulu does designs so far away from the norm, but then we get bored when it all looks the same. Guess it's hard to please us!
Love the black flower lace pattern. Check out the detachable hood on the white Run:Bundle Up Jacket pictured on "Show and Tell:Winter 2012" under "Women" if you wanna know what I mean. LLA also pointed out that pattern out in an earlier blog post. 'Hope it comes out in the Scuba Stretch* From my lips to Lululemon's ear.
I find the name "Draft Dodger" quite odd for the jacket. I'm sure the designers are trying to be lulu cute, suggesting it's a windbreaker style that will keep you warm from drafty winds. However, used in a normal context, it's really not the nicest of word choices.
I agree, dumb name. I don't like the looks either- I agree with a previous poster, lace and technical wear is not for me. Weird. I get the pants if it wasn't for the colour blocking.

@8:29PM - I also agree it's a terrible choice for a name and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that immediately. LLL tries to be witty with their names but stuff like this and Portapottie, etc. just make me think that LLL is laughing at their customers instead of with us.
I think this has the potential to create another controversy along the lines of the Barbie and Ayn Rand controversies. And no, we're not being too sensitive. The name has awful connotations in the American consciousness, which a Canadian company like LLL should be well aware of.

So, is the draft dodger for winter weather? Or windy weather? Very confused...doesn't look warm enough for winter and with already being bombarded by windbreakers and raincoats back in September......why do we need another wind/rain jacket for running?
Agree with comments about LLL not knowing what a real cold weather running pant is.....but I need some very badly so will likely go have a look at these (but will try a solid black-not a fan of bright colour blocking). Also NOT a fan of the lace look...looks cheap to me and I know I would end up hating it shortly after buying this pattern
I'm not an Englsh native speaker so not offended by the silly names lll sometimes picks to name its items. However, I'm now very curious about why the name this unattractive jacket is such a tasteless choice. Coud someone explain to this foreign fan, what does Draft Dodgers mean? Thank you!
I'm puzzled as to why a Canadian company would choose to even go near something as controversial and horrifying as the topic of WAR when naming articles of workout clothing? In the words of Seth Meyers; 'Really? Really?'

The pants look nice, especially as an alternative to the toasty tech. Will need to try these on.

Actually it looks like softshell in front and fleece in back like the outward bound pant maybe...
I do not at all like the LACE down the sleeve!! It would be like Victoria's secret having fleece on their bra's. The 2 just don't make sense together.

I tried on the dodge jacket today at LLL and it looks much better on the hanger. ONLINE SHOPPERS BEWARE :)

A "draft dodger" is someone who intentionally decides to not comply with the military draft.
