Bahaha! So funny that the What the Fluff abbreviation is WTF, bc that's exactly what I was thinking when I saw those prices.
GLOVES!!!! But that is way too much neon yellow on that poor girl. I like that the vest is reversible but I'm in the pool who doesn't care for the off centered zipper. And I dig the headband for purely functional reasons but why doesn't she pull it completely down over her ears? that's the whole point. Plus, I already bought 2 of the brisk headbands so this would just be too much. Pullover price is as expected. i'm still tempted but the colors make me stay back - unless I try it on and it fits like a dream, I'll pass. Any pics of the skirt or price??
OT: Just so everyone knows, the black/heathered pigment blue/tonka stripe pigment blue/heathered pigment blue under Astro Pant, regular is actually a 10 TALL. I bought it online (it disappeared off the site) and returned it (it mysteriously returned to the site). I've told GEC about it on my return sheet, but it's still listed under Regular. Sigh. I was really looking forward to Astro Pants, but I'm not tall enough.
So glad I bought the LR pacesetter, it's super cute!
I know others don't like the waterproof fabric on the bottom rear of the merino pullover, but I think it's functional. I've run in slushy/muddy conditions and the back of my shirt would always get really nasty with splatter. It would be nice to be able to just wipe it right off.
I might get the WTF earwarmer, as I am finding the rulu earwarmer not quite warm enough. It's not very cute, but it would certainly be warmer.
So sad the Pitter Patter is $158. I totally want it, but not at that price. And I wish the back wasn't like that ... solid would have been so much better.
248.00 for that jacket is dumb. They are charging more than top quality ski brand companies! Doing the same with their pullovers. Not buying...ESP since who knows how long it will last now? Will it unravel, become sheer, loose the down puff? Come on lulu.
Ordered the coal bang buster, love red WUC, and the Black swan WU Pant and they came today. For those of you asking, yes, the love red WUCs are see through and yes, the BS WU pant has sparkle.
However, the BS WU is really thick and the sparkle is so subtle that I am not sure how noticeable it will be. Just an FYI - the coal bang buster also has sparkle. LLL just needs to put it in the description so that we know what we are buying! Urg!
Anyway, the pants are a keeper. But the Love Red WUC probably will go back. I tool the TS Black/Cashew stripe ones back for the same reason - You can read the rip tag when you bend over. I use these clothes for Bapiste yoga (heated room) and when you sweat in sheer crops it is REALLY noticeable! If I was wearing the WUC for fun, just around town, maybe I would keep them because they are so dang cute. But nope going back to the store. Bummer.
I really like the blue IQ top with the matching vest. Even with the quilted accents. The deal breaker for me is I can't stand that curved bottom hem on the shirt! So unflattering! if only it was straight like the turn around LS I'd be all over it! Boo!
I think I'm just going to stick with Icebreaker clothing for the merino wool stuff. Love the WTF pullover, jacket and vest, but not feeling the prices so much. If only the pullover was priced with the vest price - then it would be mine!!
Omg. The prices are just really outrageous. For that I would rather spend the money on a company that specializes in cold weather equipment. Does lulu really think their label is worth that much? Kinda crazy.
yep, icebreaker and other brands for winter stuff. I hope that the love red WUC and not too see through. I go commando with tights so I hope it works for me. I am so in love with love red that I had to force myself not to order the pace setter in the same color. I got the run speed short withe the grey in back, not bad.I also found a split pea turbo tank on the sale rack for $39.
Those WTF mittens actually look promising - I find that if it's cold enough for me to need more than cuffins, the Brisk Run Gloves just aren't warm enough - what other colors do they come in? Slightly OT - is lulu REALLY going to leave up the "special edition" tags on everything all season. Just for kicks (and to torture myself...) I pulled up some pics of ACTUAL special edition Scubas from holidays past...sigh. I miss Chip.
Wtf is going on w/ the duck butt hem lines? I hate that i always loved lulu for their hemlines till now! Wish i bought more last year- big bummer and i agree w/ everything most of you all said btw. Too bad- been eyeing some of northface lately they have some cute stuff and you know its built well. cheers
I called the GEC this afternoon and the educator I spoke with, said she couldn't tell me the prices of ANY of the WTF collection! I almost said, "okay WTF??? Seriously?!" Se told me to call a store or wait till upload Tuesday! Terrible, TERRIBLE Cusotmer service!!! :( I hate calling or messaging Lulu, the reps can be so useless!
What's crazy is that some people will buy at these prices. Cue the old adage, "people with more dollars than sense". Lulu's not going to get a grip until the people who are buying this stuff do.
The only thing I like better from Lulu than other companies are the vents under the pits...hard to find with other brands. But I'm not sure about the look of some of the new "fluff" wear. The clarity yellow is super-icky and the red is too orange for me, plus the price...wtf!!!
I know that the colorblocking has been a little meeeh all season, but I actually really liked the polar cream/black wunder under pants. Has anyone seen these in their local stores at all? Mine haven't gotten them. =(
WTF. Apparently, their marketing department wasn't involved in the naming of the product. I would hope that if they were, they would see the "WTF with the prices" coming.
I do like the ear warmer though. Will probably say WTF and pick it up.
WTF is right with the prices !! The insulator pullover from last year was 158$.... this year's pullover is 198$ ! That's a 40$ increase in 1 year ! CRAZY and VERY GREEDY LULU ! I'm glad I bought the insulator pullover from last year. I love it ! Not sure about this year's version... and would not buy it for 198$ ! Mittens look interesting... but then again... I will not be taken for a fool ! So it depends on the price.

I hate these names. Both What the Fluff and Fluff Off are tacky and gimmicky. I hate the direction this entire brand is headed to.
