I tried running in a new location - the Back Bay Loop - in Newport Beach today. It's only a couple of miles from the Fashion Island store so I thought I'd stop in and check out their markdown racks. I was
really glad I did.
The photos above shows a new Groove waistband. There is also another one that has the black and white print and the thin black and white stripes. The luon on these pants feels like "old" luon - very soft and pettable. I have heard rumors that lululemon was working on recapturing the feel of "vintage" luon and think this might be it.
There were some terrific markdowns in the store today. There were quite a few items priced at $19 and $24. I ended up getting the Ta Ta Tamer shown above for $29. This was a case of marking down a solo leftover item since the second lulu store I went to had a bunch of these at full price. I also got a Heathered Split Pea Cool Racerback for $19. I had seen those at the Irvine Store at the midnight Black Friday for $29 so it paid to wait on getting it. There were No Limits Tanks for $19, $19 Trinity Bras, $24 Spincity SS Tops. Those were a decent deal since the second store I went to did not have them on markdown. Some of the deals for the men were: $49 Kahuna Shorts, Light as Air SS for $45, $79 Commute Chinos, $29 Five Year Tee, $34 Cadence Tee. Anyway, if you went out shopping on Black Friday or yesterday you might want to check the racks again in your local stores. The racks have seen another round or two or markdowns.
PS - I don't know if it will happen tonight but last year lululemon had a Sunday night upload for Cyber Monday.

Would love a split pea for $19! I loved to feel of it but it was slightly too sheer for reg price.
This is totally off-topic, but does anyone have any thoughts on whether the Dog Runner pant might come out in some more colors? I bought a pair in Black Swan, but I really want them in a color that is a little more interesting (my store only had black and black swan and I'm not too interested in the blue pair online). I can't decide whether to take the tags off of the ones I bought already... :(
LLA: with the hiatus of the original Scuba and the Define, do you think these items might appear on the markdown racks?
wow i just bought a spincity ss top for $44 and i thought THAT was a steal.
I pretty much never buy lulu full price for this reason and I hope i'm not the only one haha.
It's not important to me that i need to be wearing the latest gear.
Ah! Jealous! Was planning to head west today, but went east instead. Picked up the full stride skirt on MD ($39) and a love red pacesetter.
For those interested in the Make it Rain jacket ... I tried it on today and found that it's a size down item. I'm typically a 6/8 and I liked the fit of the 4 best. They didn't have the silver color in store, which is what I wanted. It's warm - so don't plan to wear more than a tank under. I'm running a marathon on Sunday, and it's forecast to be very rainy, so I am considering this jacket. I won't purchase until Tuesday if I see that a downpour is inevitable.
I'm so jealous! My Chicago area store didn't have many markdowns at all - best I saw was a turbo tank at $29 but they only had 1 size :( glad you got some deals LLA!
@ anon 6:13 pm - I saw a single Define on the rack today. It was a size 12 Dense purple Ziggy Define. I think it was $79 or $89. I can't remember. Scubas rarely get marked down more than $10 or $20 in my area.
Lucky! My local store didn't have anything good. Same stuff they had on markdown last week so I didn't get anything.
I'm curious about this Cyber Monday thing, what kind of deals did they have last year? Just typicsl WMTM stuff?
Nice one LLA. Also cool to hear you drop by LLL while you're on a run. I've done the same thing and also had good luck on these occasions.
p.s. - I don't actually try anything on when I'm in the midst of a run. I already know my sizing and buy what is a sure thing, like a CRB, or something I tried on previously and have waited to move to markdown.

Lululemon said on their Facebook page they won't be participating in cyber Monday.. We'll see. think it was it last year they did the special limited edition jackets on that day.
lol anon 7:56 pm - I stopped by after I was done to see what was on the markdown racks.
@ anon 9:10 pm - I can believe that. I don't think the new Scuba format lends itself to Special Editions and from looking at my Cyber Monday post from last year that was what was uploaded for cyber monday - only SE Scubas. I still plan on staying up anyway just in case.

There were run crops, lots of shorts, 105F crops and some skirts. I saw some Sattva pants, too. Carry and go pants.
Any idea what the green color/print is on the new grooves?
I am also curious about the green gray on those pants.Is it just the way the light is hitting them?
