Spotted in Strategic Partner Stores - Limitless Blue Cool Racerback

Finally, something I can get excited about - a solid Limitless Blue Cool Racerback. This was spotted in a Strategic Partner store so hopefully it will be uploaded/show up in regular stores soon. My love of colorful Cool Racerbacks just started this spring so I don't have any medium blues yet. I definitely want this one. (Thanks to Ms. C. for the photo.)

OT but I just had to share... I was in JCPenney today eyeing the Xersion section and spotted an almost exact copy of last year's Apres Run fleece pullover for $25!

I have the $100 black swan one so I had to try it on for comparison. Fit was not as nice, but it was soft and the shirred back design was also identical. If it had come in a color other than white, I would have bought it. I did get their denim slub style pants that were also $25.They had very flattering seaming on the back (not shown) the gusset is triangle, but larger, and had a curve in the front hence no CT!

(Sorry for the super long links!)

I will acquire the Limitless Blue! My favourite CRB's are my ones in blue. This would "only" by my fourth in blue.

I tried to see that WTF/sweet cheeks skirt today in store but the location didn't have it; coming next week, staff advised me. They had all the other fluff stuff.

What does it feel like???? Soft, average, or poly?

Don't you think this looks like pigment blue??

LuluAddict said...

@ unknown - It does look Pigment-ish in this photo but in real life it has a little teal/aqua in it.

Went to my store today to take back the FB tank I bought online last week. Ended up with the U-Turn PO (yellow/blue/PC), another technikini, compression socks (haven't seen these since SW) and a $29 pretty pink energy bra (YEAH!).

Tried on the runder unders and LOVE them. Very soft and very warm. I will be buying more than one pair this winter.

OT - I was in my local LLL store last night and I found out two items that I thought might be of interest to the rest of the group.

1) LLL is extending their return policy from now or about now (I think) to two weeks after Christmas, the Educator told me January 13th. I don't know if this goes for online purchases or just the store(s) but that makes sense so we can return gifts that we purchase now after Santa comes.

2) The educator also mentioned that they were going to have some Black Friday sales. I asked "how good, like WMTM sales or something worth braving hordes of people for." She said along the lines of WMTM. I personally will pass since I live in No. VA and the hordes of Black Friday shoppers are particularly large but those of you with smaller stores or live close by might want to scope them out. If you do see something interesting please do post it.

This concludes my field report. ;o)

Is it just me or does the CRB in the photo look especially short, kind of like the racing length ones?

Love it! Thank you, and hope we get it soon in stores! Have you heard what else will be offered in LB? I'm hoping for a solid pullover--I can't stand Clarity Yellow and would love a Toasty Tech or similar pullover in LB.

Wow - I just checked the xcersion line from the JCP website -- and they have replicated A LOT of lululemons design -- down to the headbands -- i wonder if they will sue JCP too --

What colour is the stitching? Clarity Yellow?

I got a lovely CRB in the color heather split pea and its soft like butter....the next 2 CRBS I bought, the material was hard and scratchy. I ended up selling them right away, new with tags, because they were too scratchy for my liking. :( WHY can't lululemon be more consistent?!

@macfrannie - Ooooh! Black Friday sales!!! Thanks! They haven't had those in awhile - since the last time they had a lot of markdown items to move. It's probably store specific since stores are allowed to be "entrepreneurial." Hmm, I've skipped going out on Black Friday but it might be worth it to see what they have.

The return deadline is their standard holiday one for both store and on line.

@ anon 8:10 am - Clarity yellow would be my guess.

@ Kelly - it does look shorter but I think that's the angle

Thanks-Amazr!

I just ordered a few things from jcpenny. Their Xersion line has some items very similar to Lululemon like the studio pant, groove pants and the Aprèsish pullover which I ordered! I figured if it didn't work out, I could return at my local
JcP. Now I'm curious!

Yes, the photo makes the CRB look Pigment, but it is not. I have Pigment and have seen Limitless Blue (not in the CRB yet) in store. It's not the same blue at all. I will pick up LB when it shows up in stores.

I stopped by LLL today hoping to maybe find the new Ebb & Flow ii.

If anyone cares for an opinion: I tried on the Discover Crop. In that store they're on markdown just like wmtm. I'm generally willing to add a simple black crop to my gear, but this one underwhelmed me. It was basically the pocket detail on the side that made me go "meh" (which is interesting, since the Run Marathon Crop has a similar pocket. The detail on the RM crop are better). On sizing, they were tts for me (sz 4 all bottoms) and I did not find them sheer. They are also a higher rise, which I'm not a fan of. The other issue was the number of negative reviews on bad quality that of course, since I wasn't in love them, made it easy to pass.

Amazr...I am amazed how similar some of the Xersion styles are to Lulu's...the thumbholes, the groove pants, the studio pant, the dash tank,etc....i actually did end up ordered a groove'ish pant, the studio-ish pant, the apres-ish top...so we'll see. I figure if it doesn't work out i can always return to the local JcP store.

;-)I'll report back.

Last week I bought some of the 'groove' pants from JCP Xersion line. The fabric isn't as nice as luon, but it is quite soft and stretchy-- definitely worth $25!! I am very happy with them and will now skip on buying grooves from LLL.
Also noticed that a ton of their designs were stolen from lulu. They even had a version of the Star Runner LS tops in a color that looked very similar to angel blue. The fabric was rulu-like.
It's nice that JCP now accepts returns anytime for any reason. Woah, it's like they want you to shop there....NICE!

Wow they even have the DSP at JC Penny's... identical

My LULU is having yoga from 11pm-midnight on Thanksgiving since the mall open at midnight. I am not typically a black friday shopper but I am going to join them for yoga. I think I'm going to need it after a stressful thanksgiving.

Anonymous said...

That's crazy on the JC Penny stuff. The DSP is nearly exactly the same, just missing the trim at the pockets (and don't appear to have drawstrings in the pant bottom). Everything else is spot on. These are all made in the same factory anyway, right? Over here you make LLL, over here you make "insert here" brand's version.

Can we expect to see any normal gear tonight or will the whole upload to that WTF line? I really don't like the price, functionality, or colors in any of those pieces, so maybe my wallet will be safe!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:45 am - I certainly hope so. The only thing I bought last week was a Love Red Bangbuster at the store. I'm suffering from withdrawal. I don't need down run gear so I'm crossing my fingers the new Limitless Blue CRB shows up tonight.

I find the Xersion fit to be really strange on me. The arms seem to be in the wrong place and the difference between sizes seems pretty wide. One size is way too tight, the next too loose. They have some great colors, but it just never fits me.

Thank you so much, Amazr!

I just ordered the dead ringers for the Apres Run Pullover and the studio pants (in both colors)! All three items together were less money than the cost of a single Lulu tank. I'm in love!

This CRB (which I do not recognize but was from a product upload today) looks definitely shorter...:

OMG JC PENNY has Plus sizes!!! And they ship to Canada! SOLD!

OK, I had to sneak over to JcPenney to check out the fake Lulu :) The fake apres-run pullover is cute--I didn't love the fleecy main part of it, probably because the color looks like it would take me about .05 seconds to spill coffee on it and ruin it. The design is super cute though and the fabric at the cuffs is definitely the EXACT same fabric that was at the hem of the grey leggings with the contrasting bunched hems that were out a few weeks ago (can't remember the name--they were super cute but super see-through). So, same factory/supplier is a definite possibility. In the end, I walked away with a cute wide-neck sweatshirt, a grey racerback, and a pair of "groove" pants for $35, including tax. For those of you who are thinking of ordering online, I am usually a 6 in lulu and the smalls fit perfectly in all items. Happy bargain hunting! big.

Oh and one more PS--it looks like a lot of the Xersion stuff is going on sale for Black Friday with free shipping. :)

I checked out all the Xersion stuff today at JCP, too. The tops were roomy, the bottoms were on par with lulu sizing=a small for a 4/6. I ended up with a "groove" type pant. The fabric is a technical fabric, not as soft and luscious, but the fit wasn't drastically different. for $25 and a great return policy, I will give them a try.
