New St. Moritz sweater added to the website, $158. Also, a couple of items got repriced - the WTF Pullover, now $158, and the WTF Vest, now $128.

I'm not sure what bra is showing in this photo. The crops are the new Reflect Crop in the Spring Has Sprung Multi print. The top is the Pump It Up tank. This photo is from Australia.

More of the latest - Reflect Crops in the Black and White Stripe, Mint Moment Pump It Up tank, Polar Haze Swiftly with Pump It Up shorts in all the colors - Mint Moment/Polar Haze/ B&W Stripe.

Roll down shorts in Mint Moment Sea Stripe. (Australia)

I was all prepared to love the St. Moritz sweater but I don't like the way the knit is only in the front. If they had added knit to the back and had the sleeves as they are I'd like it A LOT more. Oh well, I certainly don't need another sweater or to spend that much on one that is meh...

Wonder if they uploaded it early, so less people rush tomorrow to order all the new gear. Apparently its a good one...

Exactly my thoughts, @ macfrannie! I wasn't expecting the upload until tomorrow, but once I saw the LLA post, I hopped over to snatch up the St. Moritz sweater ASAP - I'm usually helpless against black and charcoal and have the Chai Times to prove it - but no sweater knit in back and no thumb holes mean this might actually be a pass for me...don't know whether to be happy or sad.

I don't like the pairing of mint moment and polar haze. Separately, I like them a lot, but together? too much.

bleh.

that spring has sprung print is FUGLY - looks like curtains from the 80s or a bad 90s blouse. laceoflage was a modern, updated floral - but this is dowdy and gross.

the paneling on those crops is doing nothing for that fit girl - it's making her hips look huge, and not in a good way.

those striped roll down shorts look like pajama boxers.

polar haze looks like a reincarnation of lavender dusk...which wasn't all that popular of a color, if i remember correctly?

that sweater looked super cute until i saw that the back wasn't knit. i like the knit front with the solid sleeves, but lulu messed that up too.

FAIL FAIL FAIL.

I find the quiet repricing a bit sneaky on LLL's part. They are effectively discounting them because they weren't selling at the previous ~$200. They should have a legitimate sale sticker or place in WMTM. Knocking down a brand new winter item looks terrible from a company perspective, but you shouldn't assume all your customers are dumb. On a product note, I tried on the WTF pullover and it was definitely not worth $200. Still too expensive at $158. I'd pay a bit more and get a better brand.

so I ordered the WTF pullover when it was still $198 (just arrived yesterday). Will LLL give me any sort of credit for the price difference now?

@ anon 10:17 am - I am reading people are getting refunded.

Could the striped bra in the Courtney picture be the new Cardio bra? I would try that if it was.

Btw, for all of us that live far from a store, I got an email that PayPal will pay return shipping on return items that aren't covered (up to a certain amount per account) if you use PayPal to buy stuff. Would make it worthwhile for me to order some Lulu stuff I've been debating about as I've racked up quite the return shipping fees the past six months since I haven't liked much I've received!
See https://www.thepaypalblog.com/2012/11/paypal-holiday-shopping/ for further info. I haven't used it yet, but think I will try it out!

Actually, there's more info here: https://www.paypal-promo.com/holiday/returnshipping.html
and
https://www.paypal-promo.com/holiday/PayPalTerms-ReturnShipOnly20121025.pdf

I think I read somewhere it doesn't cover eBay, but I don't remember. Up to $100 shipping fees / $25 per item from 11/1 to 12/31.

i rather they resticker it than put it in wmtm cause wmtm is final sale. this way, i can get it at the lower price and still make sure its going to be a keeper.

I want the WTF vest and at $128 it's going to be mine tomorrow :) WOOT!

that minty colour could be interesting but not with the brown stripes.
The sweater is a pass for me.

I really want to like the St. Moritz sweater. The lack of cable-knit on the back doesn't bother me. However, I'm wondering if anyone has seen them in person and can speak to 2 things: the overall length (it looks SUPER short) and the weight/knit of the non-cabled part. That looks like the weight and knit of the pitter patter, which just isn't attractive. It looks ok online and in pics, but in-person it was very rough looking.

No Polar Cream St. Mortiz sweater for the US????

Anonymous said...

It's winter, why is the St Moritz Sweater so short? Is it because this is sold with such low price ($158) that Lulu couldn't afford to add 2-3 inches to its length?

Anonymous said...

I was thinking the same thing 11:46!

Anonymous said...

Thanks! I've asked for my refund on the vest. I hope I get it!

Anonymous said...

I'm not going to play into this. These price drops are in preparation for Christmas (gift buyers maybe more likely to buy this for you? at a lower albeit expensive price) and as they see some WTF items are probably not moving. The WTF pullover would be nice to have, but I'll live. The items are still expensive.

They did the same thing with that Coco Jacket. It was some crazy price and then they dropped it to $89 or whatever, JUST in time for back to school shopping.

Im curious, the bag is soo huge, but i wonder if pink would look ridiculous....you know a huge baby pink tote! lol

LLA...this was on Lululemons FB Page: (Doesn't look like Lulus gonna price adjust for anyone!) :(

Chris Fox
I noted you have repriced the WTF pullover and vest on the website, the pullover from $198 to $158 and the vest from $158 to $128. Will you offer price adjustments for the people who purchased it at the previous higher price?

Nicole Guerrero Diven Lululemon, I too am curious about a price adjustment. I wore my WTF pullover ONCE and the seams on the wrists are unraveling like crazy. Mind you, the only activity I was doing while wearing the pullover was sitting in a car for 5 hours and then walking around. I would be happy to keep the pullover at the reduced price, but otherwise I'd rather damage it out. It's a very expensive piece to be unraveling like that already.

Nicole Guerrero Diven Also, I went into a store (whistler) to scope out the other pullovers in my size and they all had shoddy seams, too. Whistler offered to refund, but I told them I wanted to return home to the states before deciding what to do.

Lululemon Athletica Hey Chris and Nicole,
Thanks for the question. Price adjustments are not something we offer. The seaming on your pullover doesn't sound right, Nicole. We would be more than happy to take a look at it and create a resolution for you. Simply bring it in to your local store or send us an email to gec@lululemon.com and we can reach out to you directly.

Chris Fox Thanks Tess. Good thing it's still in the return period because it's going back. Your policy is ridiculous.

Kristina Rawecki Lulu, repricing isn't the same as a markdown item. It seems more along the lines of a pricing error in which case the customer should not be paying for! If you've repriced your item for $128 then you over charged me at $168. I deserve a refund of the difference and I will gladly accept in in a gift card please!
4 hours ago · 2

Tina Lee I completely agree with that, Kristina. While I'm not a fan of Lulu's sale policies, I accept that they don't do price adjustments on sale items. But the issue isn't that the item is now on sale, it's a repricing and I think it's absolutely ludicrous that I should be burned for purchasing the item earlier at a higher price.

Melissa Mahady Wilton Not only is failing to compensate customers for repricing unethical, it is really poor business practice. When you continually offer overpriced items that are quickly adjusted downward to reflect more accurate market value, you are encouraging customers to both return items and wait out price reductions in future high-priced product offerings. In this age of instantaneous communication, people are highly aware of pricing differences across markets. The business will flow to the lowest price point. You would think for all of the overpriced merchandise that has gone to sit in We Made Too Much in the last few months, lululemon would start making better strategic choices in its pricing policy.

LLL will price adjust you for the change. It isn't sneaky - how do you suggest they tell their customers? Mass email?? Some people have nothing to do but complain.

Anonymous said...

@ 4:04 PM work for LLL much? It's unethical.

If you DON'T live near a store, no they won't, (price adjust) UNLESS...you are up for 20-30 mins. Of arguing with the GEC over the phone! I know from recent personal experience! I called and asked nicely and she told me to go to a store and they MIGHT give me a price adjustment! LOL.... I said, so what do you do for people who are 8 hrs away from a store??? And there was a long pause......and she continued to argue with me. I finally told her about principal and she finally agreed, that this was not how customers should be treated.

The Run Roll Down Short is not flattering...the Mint Moment Sea Stripe looks dumpy

I got adjustments today on both the vest and the pullover via GEC chat on the website. I also had to get an adjustment last week on the Ice Queen Long sleeve -- that one Ill have to go to the store for since I didnt order online, but I was assured it wouldnt be a problem. They are calling them "appeasements" btw.

Anonymous said...

oh and also I was told they were going to send emails to those that were affected by the Ice Queen repricing. Not sure if it happened since i didnt order online, but that was supposed to be what happened.

Anonymous said...

I took my still-with-tags-on WTF pullover back in today for a price adjustment. They wouldn't adjust it, so I had to "return" it and re-purchase at the $158 price. Ridiculous, but glad I read your post about the reduction. Thanks for saving me some $$. I feel much better about my purchase now :)

Anonymous said...

@4:04
It seems some GEC reps are not aware... they have posted price adjustments are "not something they do", which is just ridiculous.

Anonymous said...

They have given nearly everyone a hard time who has asked to get a price adjustment today. Some people have nothing better to do than judge others...

I have been buying Lululemon for at least nine years; my first pieces were still made in Canada. I went in twice to look at the WTF line because I loved last year's insulator pullover, but missed the opportunity to purchase one in my size. The WTF line looked dreadful on me; the cut was too long and none of the colors looked good. On a tip from a commenter on this blog, I went to the Eddie Bauer website and purchased an insulated item. It didn't even occur to me to wait for Cyber Monday sales. When I returned to the website I noticed that the item I purchased had been discounted further for Cyber Monday. I called customer service immediately and they offered me the better discount. There were no questions and no vague, elusive answers. I compared this customer service to that of Lululemon lately. I am ashamed of myself when I realize how attached I have become to this brand and how disappointed I am at the recent quality issues, price increases, and questionable customer service.
I suppose that the only advantage I have found to my "Lululamemting" is that my down payment fund is growing at a rapid pace.

Amen. Crappiest customer service ever.

I know!! I hear everyone! It just depends on WHO you speak with!!! If you speak on chat with a Samantha FORGET about getting good customer service!!! She won't help you with anything!! I asked her the price of an item just launched to a bunch of Canadian stores and she tells me every store charges a different price and that If I want to know the exact price, I should CALL A STORE!!! WTF?! I don't even have a store in my entire province and I should call a store! yes, I'll call a store, they won't answer...and I'll leave a VM and they may or may not call me back! They should rename Lululemon and call themselves, LULU-WTF? LOL (Tongue in cheek) :)

You can always tell a company is going down hill when their customer service people are rude and not helpful. I would not place the blame on the people who work the floor or answer the phone.
This is a management issue, and it is obvious that they are looking the other way and the poor sales people are getting all the heat from us unhappy customers who for some masochistic reason keep purchasing from lulu
