Polar Cream Rose Herringbone No Limit Tank and Tender Violet Wunder Unders.
I don't think I've posted this photo yet - Gather and Crows in Black Swan with a Tender Violet waistband. I kind of love these.
I like the seaming in the back of Angle Pant but can't decide if the stripe down the side makes the pant look dated. I still want to try these on.

I think you mean silver slate runder unders (you wrote wunder).
In my opinion, those angle pants are extremely dated, unflattering, and not worth a penny. Me no likey.
For anyone who has tried the Free to Be Tank, did you take the same size as you would in the Free to Be Bra? TIA!
The stripe down the side reminds me of my old lulu pants, but they still look awesome almost a decade later. For some crazy reason I don't think these new ones will last that long! ;)
Lulu has overdone the No Limit Tank so badly, I'm over it. I was excited when it came out 2 years ago, but now they're everywhere! It's a nice tank, but I'm pretty sick of it. I don't know why it was made a staple, they kind of ruin it when it comes out in EVERY colour for 2 years!! Next please!
Nice combo Gather & Crow in Black Swan with TV. I read some reviews that these now have a lower rise, maybe I'll check them out. My G&C from last year have the higher rise and I don't care for it, they never get worn. I regret that purchase.
Tonight I was going to buy the 105F crop (in bordeaux) for vinyasa flow hot yoga and bikram (am a crop girl). I finally tried them on tonight and I'm over them. They looked good, but I just didn't care them. At least I can stop thinking they were a sure thing. While I was at it, I tried on some of that milky way stuff (105F and WU crop), as hey, you never know. But as expected, no thanks. I mean, I could "get away" with it, it's just the pattern placement was all wrong. Plus I would tire of them.
I ended up buying the Bright At Night Pant on sale, which will definitely need hemming. What is with the ridiculous length? I can't imagine the mass of LLL customers would fit the length well. I'm 5'4" and a few inches will need to come off - they look ridiculous with so much material bunched up.
@ anon 5:14 pm - thanks!
Just got back from returning my free to be tank. I love the bra but felt the tank fit a bit too snug in the tummy area and with that fabric it didn't look well. I was glad I went though, ended up picking up a tender violet define. It's very beautiful and the stitching is much better than the pow pink one I retuned this summer. The zipper part was a tad bit different color wise but I got it anyway.
I really don't like the stripe down the side either. I LOVE the Gather and Grow Crop in BS and TV however! And the Polar Cream Rose NLT!
those side angle pants are just awful. not only does the stripe down the leg look dated, but that butt seaming is HORRID! it makes the ed look like she has triple butt (you know, like double boob, but in the rear...). i think those seams are terribly unflattering on everyone.
Are the black swan/tv gather& crow crops in stores yet?
I personally don't think the side angle pant looks dated! Jbrand & few others are showing the side stripe this season. Plus, I think the stripe on athletic wear has evolved into a classic-- depends on who does it & how it's done. This pant is very long and looks best on curvy girls, as it's super slimming. I would LOVE to have these in a fitted crop! (WUC?)
Bought these in both the blk/tv & blk/white. The pant itself is not sheer, but the white stripe is-- doesn't bother me though.
I like tuxedo style pants outside of the gym but those side angle pants are not my type. The stripe is too thick in my opinion and the contrast is stark. I'd like it if it was black with black swan stripes no thicker than an inch. And the backside is unnecessarily overstitched. What's the point in all that seaming?lulu needs to tone it down a little bit with their combos. Not a fan and I agree with the not overkill. I still get sucked in sometimes. Did not make it to the store again I guess I'm keeping my Alberta and creamsicle power y's. Judging by the looks of the TV crb, I have a strong feeling this could be a bleeder..
Pre washing mine asap.
Is the TV Define solid? Or does it have the logo insert on a different shade or patern? This would be the only Define I would buy in 2012., but only if it is solid. Can't wait to see a pic of it. How is the fit? Hopefully lulu hasn't messed with this design since I bought my last one in brushed Currant. Would be great if the TV define would also be brushed!
i know the no limit's are one of the most popular items and i do have one...i really never wear it. crb's are my go to, and i have one deep breath? tank that i absolutely love for comfort/fit.
its funny how some items are favourites for some and not for others. i don't like how the bra fits/feels on the no limit for me. feels like the right size but im just not a fan.
im not sure if its a recent thing but i am finding so many photos of the educators, (who i find very beautiful and brave for modelling all the clothes), are in what appears to be too small items.
is it the tweaks in styles or what is with the bulges? these women are fit and look great but some of the photos seem to emphasize back fat etc where to me they look like it would not exist.
please do not take this as a critique of these ladies, it is not...it seems like a sizing issue or a fit issue??
i will give an example...i have approximately 8-9 flow y's. all the same size. all fit perfectly with exception of the most recent purchase in bruised berry (several months ago now). the band was so tight i could barely wear it. did they change this style??? did i all of a sudden not fit it??? i don't know, but i cannot wear it as it is so tight in my normal size but just on the band.
nothing was mentioned in the reviews on the ll site, nothing was identified with changes with the style but i won't purchase another because i suddenly needed a size up and i don't like the feel of the new one. i don't really care what the number size is but i can only order online and if i cannot trust the sizing chart its frustrating.
rambling over...hope it makes sense...im not expecting miracles from these clothes but i do want the items to be flattering. not everything works on everyone but too small is not even nice on these gorgeous women!!
It was TTS for me, although it doesn't hang nicely on me and will be going back. I wonder if going up a size would help.
Anyone notice that the new shorter scubas were pulled from the website? I don't think all three color sold out? They were available in all sizes just a few days ago...
I was thinking it looked sort of strange too... I really think though that it is a sizing issue. It looks to be too tight and pulling or something.
I agree -- I've been surprised at how small some of the tanks, esp., look on these gorgeous, fit models/educators. Why not just size up? It's not like anyone knows what size you're wearing! I've noticed it on the pants, too -- same thing. Why not just size up?
The seaming on the back of the Side Angle Pants, it's/they're not for me. Don't some people desire that seaming exactly because it breaks up the solid material and gives an illusion of slimming? I know someone commented that it does the reverse, but I've read other item reviews where this type of feature exists, and the slimming effect is what some people say.
I don't care for the SA pant...I used to have a pair of Nike pants that had this detail (they probably still do this) so find it very dated. Yet, everything old is new again so to each their own.
Fit of clothing...I don't think this is a new thing on how people look in the pics. I have noticed before some people are squeezed into a too small size. What kills me is that the person taking the pics or people providing feedback to the person modelling, don't tell them. Some of these are pics of educators, so one can just imagine what they tell customers who are in the wrong size, i.e. "looks great on you!"
I picked up the lined Studio Pants in black swan today on a whim. I always thought they looked unflattering on me, but I tried a size down and they looked good. And I only got charged $108, instead of the new $118 price. Weird...but I am not complaining!
I also picked up a Swiftly LS in alberta lake. It's a nice fall/winter color...it's almost neutral looking.
Someone asked about the mysterious disappearance of the shorter, stretchier Scubas on LLL's Facebook page. The response was that those Scubas arrived from the factory with the wrong labels and that the correct name is "Scuba Hoodie Stretch." LLL is going to correct the error and make them available again sometime next week. I hope this doesn't mean that they are phasing out the old style Scubas...
I had a quick look on the HK site too and they've taken off the TV Suba that they had listed there, it's been replaced with a black one instead.
The flow y fit has definitely changed. I, too, bought the bruised berry and heard a rip when I tried to get it over my head (in my usual flow y size). Disappointing.... This was my favorite lulu bra.
@anon 12:12 - The tv define was solid, that was the only way I would buy it too. And, it was brushed:) I felt it fit true to size, maybe a little snug but i didn't look it over very well other than the seams. I just knew it had to be mine. I don't know if it's just me but I've always worn a 6 and recently lost 5 pounds and felt the free to be tank and define we're snug.
Re back fat/back boob: Unfortunately that happens to some of us after 40--I am not even slightly plump and most would say quite fit (power yoga/pilates EVERY day), but I cannot avoid the back boob in ANY supportive/athletic bras. I am a 32dd/34d, and cannot get the level of support needed w/o the underarm squish. For reference, I am 5'6" and 120 llbs and buy a size 6 (although 6 is usually roomy at waist and back of knees)
Which 3 colours were the shorter Scuba hoodies? I bought a Black Swan Scuba recently and have kept the tags on just in case.
The Creamsicle Pop and Glen Check Polar Cream Silver Slate Scubas are the stretchy style that is being relabeled according to the response on facebook.
Black swan, creamsicle, and glen check
I love my alberta lake gather and crows so much! They are so flattering. I want to get the black swan/tender violet.
What size are your Power ys? I'm assuming you didn't want to keep them and may be interested in buying.
I picked up a pair of pants from the thrift store today. Wondering if anyone can tell me what they're called and how old they are. They're very similar to the dance studio pant except the back of the pant is a luon material. They have drawstring opening at th bottom and thwaistbands is a Gathered elastic with a secondary waistband that's a little higher that looks similar to a mens under waistband. Anyone?!
Anyone get the TV WU's? I got the min my usual Sz 4, and these seemed tight and stiff. The fabric was not as soft, and I felt like I was getting plumbers butt went I bent over!
Im so annoyed - what gives?
Dispos. Income Girl here. Ok, I finally got to a Lulu today, as we have no Lulu in our province. They had ONE bordeaux hoodie left in size 6. The 6 was just right, had the side panels, but the 8 in another color, too big! The zipper was always catching and getting stuck and the material was NOT soft at all. For the steep price and the bad zipper and the quality not being all that great, I thought Lulu should keep their hoodie! The customer service was also very lacking, in the store I was in and there was ONLY one nice gal, who helped me. The rest, were not very helpful and would rather stand there and greet at the door, than help customers. LOL... Wasnt very impressed with that. On another note, I went to Hollisters and scored a &79 hoodie for $40 and it was 10 times softer than Lulus hoodie, fit waaaay better and it was in a bordeaux color!!! It was way way WAY nicer than Lulu hoodies and NO THUMBHOLES! :)If you want one, some of them are ON SALE at Canadian stores. I was super impressed with the fit. I wear size 6 & 8 in Lulu hoodies, with a big chest and I was able to fit into a large! Good luck everyone!! Cheers!
