Performance Review: Spinerette Short for Running
I wore the Spinerettes for a short 3.3 mile run at the gym today. I though they felt great. I was a little concerned about the elastic at the back of the legs but someone pointed out to me that some of the run crops had had sticky stuff on the leg openings. I didn't even notice the gripper strip when I was running. However, this was a fairly short run. I have an 8.5 mile run planned for Sunday so I'll try to remember to wear them and test them out on a longer run. I also liked the mesh panel at the back of the thigh. That is a sweaty area for me so I really liked the extra breathability. I also liked the higher waistband, as opposed to the Dart and Dash short where the low rise just killed them for me. Lululemon just needs to add a back zipper pocket to make these shorts perfect for running. I'm kind of surprised they left it off. I've bought older spin shorts before and they had a back pocket. I am planning to try them out in spin class tomorrow but I think they will be fine. I guess I will be keeping my second pair after all.

I wouldn't worry about the leg grippers, if they do bug you when you get sweaty you can just fold them back. This is a fairly common thing for cyclists to do as grippers sticking to damp skin can actually take the top layer of skin with them when you take them off! (Don't think this will be a problem on an 8 mile run but on a century ride it can be).
I had the old spin short, liked the design but it didn't hold up well over time compared to my Sugoi and Louis Garneau shorts.
Thanks Luluaddict for this review! I have been hesitant to pull the trigger b/c $68 just seemed high. I am, like you, a big fan of the old biker groove shorts and have been wishing they would re-release those - my fav for both spin and treadmill classes. I will have to try these!
Has anyone tried to wear ivviva? I wonder what size the child's 12 & 14 would translate to in adult sizes.
Thanks for the review!
I wonder if these would be ok for hot yoga.. I know they have some luxtreme shorts designed especially for hot yoga, but they're either way too short for my taste, or they are see through when bending over....
I like luxtreme for hot yoga because it doesn't pill like the luon, and it dries super quicky. I guess the search continues...
Ninja upload of Alberta Lake Swiftly ss and ls and also a new long sleeve top! on the US side.
There is in upload in progress.
I see...
-Free to Be Tank in TV and CP
- Run for Your Life Crops in AB
- Run Swiftly in AB
and ALOT of other cute items.
You can catch a glimpse on the What's new Page, but unfortunately you cannot access the individual pages right now. So it is simply a tease... but a good one!
LLA check it out, lulu did an upload of NEW stuff, but you can't buy yet. Dead page when you select the item. Run for your life crop in Alberta swiftly in Alberta. Devotion long sleeve, new jacket bunch of stuff.
Arghh. New upload, but can't open links to order.
LLA...check out the new upload!!
The Run Bundle Up Jacket looks beautiful and is likely a winner, but I decline to pay $198 pre-tax (that would be $223 with tax for me). Indeed I am a hardcore runner and do run in a true winter place, but I draw the line. Of course it would last many years, but it's still steep (LLL, North Face etc). Hopefully this means a LLL real winter weight/insulated pant/tight is on the way. I will have to check out the Run First Base Tank.
If you missed today's upload the only thing you missed was a migraine.
Apparently the glitches to the website allowed for more sales to enter than inventory (?!?!). So, LLL will be refunding everyone -- including foolish me, who thought that they jumped on something good -- ... and the upload will take place on Tuesday AM, as it normally does.
If you take a look at the site you will notice that all the sneak peek items that you might have seen today are no longer featured.
I feel as though I have been blueballed.
